COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION MEETING FOR THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17TH AT 8 A.M. MORNING. EVERYBODY I'D LIKE TO START WITH TODAY IS NATIONAL MAPLE SYRUP DAY BUDDY, THE ELVES FAVORITE DAY OF THE YEAR. HOW MANY PANCAKES FOR DINNER? AND IT'S ALSO THE WRIGHT BROTHERS DAY, SO I'M NOT SURE HOW THOSE TWO RELATE BUT IS, UM. OUR MOMENT OF REFLECTION. I'D LIKE TO THINK ABOUT GIVING. I KNOW A LOT OF US HERE, GIVE A LOT OF OUR TIME AND VOLUNTEER, BUT I ALSO WANT TO THINK ABOUT THE GIFTS THAT ARE MAYBE A SMILE OR A LISTENING EAR. JUST BEING PRESENT WHEN SOMEONE NEEDS YOU TO BE JUST BE PRESENT. SO NOT NECESSARILY GIFT KIND OF GIVING THAT OTHER KINDS OF GIVING THAT WE CAN DO. ON TOP OF ALL THE OTHER GIVING THAT WE ALREADY DO SO JUST LET'S TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO DO THAT. OKAY. THANK YOU. THE INDICATION TODAY IS GOING TO BE GIVEN BY KATHERINE MCGILL. THANK YOU, CATHERINE.

PLEASURE AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYBODY. AND YOU KNOW, WE'VE DONE SO MANY. WONDERFUL THINGS IS A TEAM THAT YEAR, SO I AM. LIGHTING A SYMBOLIC CANDLE TODAY. HOPEFULLY, THE FIRE MARSHAL WILL ALLOW ME THIS. LITTLE INDULGENCE. OKAY, AS WE DRAW NEAR TO THE CLOSE OF 2020.

I WOULD LIKE TO WARM A DECEMBER CANDLE TO REFLECT THE LIGHT. THAT IS PRESENT WITHIN EACH OF US AS INDIVIDUALS AND ILLUMINATED. THE CULTURES IN MANY TRADITIONS THAT MAKE UP OUR MCKINNEY COMMUNITY, WHICH WERE PRIVILEGED TO SERVE THROUGH OUR WORK ON THE C. D.

C. IT'S REMEMBER WITH GRATITUDE. THE EFFORTS OF OUR CITY LEADERS, STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS WHO KEPT OUR CITY'S SAFE, OPERATIONAL AND INDEED THRIVING. ACCOUNT THE BRAVE EFFORTS OF OUR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS, FIRST RESPONDERS, TEACHERS AND NONPROFIT STAFF AND ALSO VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE KEPT THEIR LIGHT BRIGHT TO ASSIST OTHERS DURING THIS PAST YEAR. AS WE EACH DRAW ON OUR FAITH AND TRADITIONS THAT WE CELEBRATE DURING THIS SEASON OF LIGHTS.

MAY WE BE GENEROUS WITH THOSE WHO ARE HUNGRY, HOMELESS AND ISOLATED. AT THAT POWER OF A DECEMBER CANDLE GUIDE OUR PRAYERS AND LIGHT OUR WAY TO A 2021. WITH INSPIRATION TO WORK WITH COMPASSION, CREATIVITY AND RENEWED CIVILITY TO MAKE OUR CITY AND COMMUNITY A BETTER ONE. A MAN AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS. HUH? FOR THE PLEDGE. LICIOUS.

DO I HAVE ANY PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ANY OF THE AGENDA ITEMS? OKAY WE'RE GONNA GO ON TO THE

[CONSENT ITEMS]

CONSENT ITEMS. I AM 201087 MINUTES OF THE MCKINNEY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION MEETING ON NOVEMBER 19TH 2020. NOTIONS ABOUT THAT. MEANT TO PROOF. SECOND. JOHN SECOND BY ENERGY.

MOTION PASSES. I'LL BE GONE. IN THE REPORTS AND FINANCIAL REPORT.

[Financial Report]

ADAM TO 01088. MORNING CHANCE MILLER FINDS WILL COMPLIANCE MANAGER. WE'RE PAYING ATTENTION.

NO. WE HAVE TWO SETS OF FINANCIALS TO GO OVER THIS MONTH. ONE IS CATCHING UP WITH ONE THAT WE MISSED IN THE PRIOR MONTH. SO THE FIRST ONE'S ON OCTOBER 2020, WHICH IS OUR FIRST MONTH OF FISCAL YEAR, 2021 FOR REVENUES WE HAD RIGHT AT 1.3 MILLION. EXPENDITURES WERE AT 2.8 MILLION. THE MAJORITY OF THAT 2.6 MILLION WAS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CAPITAL.

I BELIEVE THAT WAS THE WAY AND THAT'S THE WAY YOU BUDGET BEFORE GOING INTO THE FISCAL YEAR, THE RESULTING IN THAT DECREASE OF 1.5 MILLION. MOVING ONTO SELLS TEX SELLS TAX FOR

[00:05:06]

OCTOBER IS ACTUALLY AUGUST SALES TAX. WE HAD AN 8.7% INCREASE. WHICH WAS FOREIGN TO 4000 HIGHER THAN THE PRIOR YEAR. THE PARENTS ARE SISTER CITIES, ALAN HAD A 5.5% INCREASE. FRESCO HAD A 2.9% DECREASE, AND PLANO HAD A 1.4% DECREASE. THAT'S BEEN PRETTY CONSISTENT WITH WHAT WE'VE SEEN THESE TWO OR THREE MONTH PERIOD. THIS IS ALSO THE 11TH MONTH OF THE PHYSICAL. YOU'RE 2020. SO I'M MOVING ON THE 22. NOVEMBER I CAN KIND OF SHOW YOU WHAT WE LOOKED LIKE SALES TAX IN WHOLE YEAR, BUT. THE NOVEMBER FINANCIALS. WE HAD $1.5 MILLION IN REVENUE. WE HAVE 400,000 AND EXPENDITURES. THAT WASN'T THAT INCREASE OF 1.1 MILLION. SO KIND OF BALANCED OUT THE MONTH PRIOR WE'RE ABOUT EVEN SO FAR IN FISCAL YEAR, 2021. FOR CELLS TAX. NOVEMBER SALES TAXES ARTICLE TO THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER. AND WE SAW A 12.1% INCREASE. THIS IS 660,000 HIGHER THAN THE PRIOR YEAR.

MOVING ON TO OUR SISTER CITIES. ALAN HAD A WAS JUST ABOUT THE SAME AS THE YEAR BEFORE. FIRST GO AHEAD OF 4.1% INCREASE IN PLAYING OUT A 6.4% INCREASE. SO IT WAS NICE TO SEE SOME BREXITERS SISTER CITY START TO PICK UP. AND THAT WAS THE LAST LAST MONTH OF FISCAL YEAR. 2020 SO LOOKING AT IT, WE BUNCH OF THAT 4.7 MILLION WAS OUR YEAR END ESTIMATE WHAT WE EXPECTED.

AWAITED ABOUT 16.1 MILLION. THAT'S 1.4 MILLION. THEY'LL BE ROLLING INTO FUND BALANCE AND GIVE OR TAKE A LITTLE BIT WHEN WE DO THAT WE'RE GOING TO THE AUDIT PROCESS RIGHT NOW. SO NEXT MONTH, I SHOULD HAVE THE NEW UPDATED FUND BALANCE NUMBERS. BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW, YOU CAN EXPECT AROUND 1.4 MILLION TO ROLL INTO FUND BALANCE. AND I'M SAYING THAT I'LL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. GIVES IT ALL THE CHAIR. YOU. THANK YOU. LIVING ON TWO OUT OF

201089 BOREDOM, LIAISON REPORTS. I JUST WANTED TO SAY. IT WAS KIND OF A BUSY MONTH. WE DID SEVERAL THINGS. I KNOW MANY OF US WENT TOWARDS COTTON GROVES. THAT WAS GREAT TO BE ABLE TO SEE THAT MODEL. SEE IT FURNISHED. HE WAS GONNA LOOK LIKE IT'S REALLY GREAT, GREAT PROJECT. NO ALSO TOURED THE FUHZ. THAT TOO. IS IT JUST A GREAT PROJECT? THEY BUILT IT RIGHT? I THINK BECAUSE THEY WILL. BRO. I BELIEVE THE DENTAL HAS ALREADY MOVED IN. THAT'S WHAT THEY EXPECTED. ANYWAY THAT THAT WAS SOMETHING REALLY COOL TO SEE. UM AND THEN SOME OF US ATTENDED THE HOUSE RAISING. SATURDAY WAS IT WERE HABITAT. IT WAS COOL TO SEE THAT NEIGHBORHOOD TOO, AND SEE. SEE WHAT'S BEEN COMPLETED THEIR I THINK THEY HAVE ONE MORE HOUSE IN THAT NEIGHBORHOOD. IS THAT RIGHT? ANGIE TO FINISH OFF. WAS NEED TO MEET THAT FAMILY.

REALLY COOL LITTLE FAMILY. IT REALLY SEEMED VERY, VERY APPRECIATIVE. READY TO START BEING A HOMEOWNER, YOU KNOW, THE KIND OF EXPLAINED HOW THEY. MAKE THEM TAKE CLASSES AND GAVE HIM A TOOL KIT AND I THINK THEY'VE TAKEN SAYS SAID THAT THAT WAS REALLY SEE NO. THAT'S KIND OF WHAT OUR BOARD DID THIS MONTH AS FAR AS SEEING SOME OF OUR PROJECTS COME TO FRUITION.

I HAVE SOME DECISION. I JUST WANTED TO SAY I ROLLED OFF THE BOARD OF CHESTNUT SQUARE. SO I DON'T HAVE TONTO ACCUSE MYSELF ANYMORE FROM THOSE PRESENTATIONS. AND ALSO I DID WANT ALSO SAY I'M NOW ON THE BOARD OF THE HERD NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM. SO I DO HAVE TOMO RECUSE MYSELF FROM ANY PRESENTATIONS FROM FROM THAT. BEING ON CITY OF MCKINNEY.

MORNING EVERYBODY. KIM BOMB ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER SUBBING IN FOR PAUL GRIMES, WHO UNFORTUNATELY IS UNABLE TO JOIN US TODAY, A FEW UPDATES FROM THE CITY THIS PAST TUESDAY, THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVED IN ORDINANCE. THAT WOULDN'T WOULD ENABLE THE USE OF PARK LET'S IN DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY. PARK LIT IS A WAY TO CONVERT AND ON STREET PARKING SPACE INTO AN OUTDOOR PLAZA OR PATIO KIND OF SOMETIMES LOOKS LIKE A DECK. THERE'S USUALLY DECORATIVE SEATING. EXCUSE ME. LANDSCAPING ETCETERA. IT'S A PROGRAM THAT IS BECAUSE BECOME QUITE COMMON AND COVE IT AND WITH THIS PROGRAM, OUR BUSINESSES WILL BE ABLE TO UTILIZE SOME OF THOSE SPACES TO HELP ACHIEVE THE SOCIAL DISTANCING NEEDED DURING THE PANDEMIC. ADDITIONALLY THE CITY IS ACQUIRING TO MODULAR PARK. LET'S THAT WE ARE MAKING AVAILABLE FOR RENT FOR SOME OF OUR BUSINESSES DOWNTOWN. WE DO THINK THOSE WILL BE INSTALLED BY THE END OF THE WEEK, SO MAKE SURE TO CHECK THEM OUT. ALSO IT WORK SESSION, THE COUNCIL TALKED ABOUT COMPREHENSIVE WAY FINDING PROGRAM AND WE DO ANTICIPATE A CONTRACT WILL BE BACK BEFORE COUNCIL WITHIN THE

[00:10:05]

NEXT MONTH OR TWO. IT IS A BIG PROJECT. MCKINNEY IS A BIG CITY AND WE'RE GROWING VERY QUICKLY.

BUT HOW WE BRAND OURSELVES IS REALLY, REALLY IMPORTANT AND WAY FINDING IS ONE WAY TO DO THAT. AS YOU KNOW, THE CDC HAS GENEROUSLY FUNDED WAY FINDING IN THE PAST, SO WE'RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THAT OPPORTUNITY TO GET SOME GREAT SIGNAGE, WHICH WILL HELP VISITORS TO MCKINNEY KNOW WHERE TO GO. HOW TO GET TO OUR RETAILERS AND RESTAURANTS, ETCETERA. IT HAS BEEN A BUSY YEAR IS YOU KNOW FOR THE CITY AND WE'RE HOPEFUL TO HAVE A REST FOR HOLIDAY. BUT STARTING NEXT YEAR WE'LL BE BACK TO WORK. AND IN FEBRUARY THAT COUNCIL HAVE THEIR ANNUAL GOAL SETTING AND STRATEGIC PLANNING MEETING. AND THE SEASONAL SIDE CITY. MCKINNEY WAS VERY HAPPY TO BE THE HOST LOCATION AND ALSO PARTICIPATE IN THE W F A TOY DRIVE AND OVER.

LET ME SEE IF I HAVE THE NUMBER RIGHT HERE. 3100 TOYS WERE GENERATED DURING THAT DRIVE, INCLUDING 650 FROM THE CITY OF MCKINNEY. IS A REALLY, REALLY WONDERFUL EVENT SHOWCASING THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT. AND ON THAT NOTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY. WE WISH YOU ALL A VERY WONDERFUL HOLIDAY SEASON. WE KNOW IT'S GOING TO PROBABLY LOOK DIFFERENT FROM MOST OF YOU. AND OTHERS, BUT DEFINITELY WISH YOU SOME NEW MEMORIES AND SOME STORIES TO TELL IN THE FUTURE OF THE YEAR OF 2020. THAT'S ALL I HAVE. AND I'LL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. THANK YOU. SAID MCKINNEY. GOOD MORNING, VANESSA ROADS FROM VISIT MCKINNEY AND I'M LOVING THIS JACKET'S JUST THANK YOU MEAN YOU LOOK, YOU GUYS I DON'T KNOW. I DON'T HAVE SERIOUS I COULD BE LOOKING AT YOU. S O LAST MONTH. OUR BOARD MEN AND THEY AWARDED FUNDS FROM THE CYCLE ONE OF THEIR GRANT PROCESS AND SO JUST WANTED TO GO OVER WITH WHAT WE AWARDED SPG HOSPITALITY FOR THEIR SIPPING STROLL. EVENTS RECEIVED $8000. AND IT IS CIA'S PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA. IT RECEIVED $2000 AND C W DESIGN. THEY ARE DOING A VIRTUAL HOME TOUR FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU GUYS HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO CHECK THAT OUT, BUT THEY RECEIVED $5000. SO THAT WAS FOR OUR GRAND CYCLE. WHEN I KNOW YOU GUYS HAD HAD CONCERN ABOUT THAT. SO I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU GUYS WERE AWARE OF THAT UPDATE KIND OF SOME SAD NEWS, THE DRUM CORPS INTERNATIONAL WE DID FOR SEABOARD THAT THEY WILL NOT BE HERE THIS SUMMER. SUMMER OF 2021. HOPING TO HAVE THEM IN 2022. THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE A 3 TO 4 DAY ENSEMBLE UP IN INDIANA, AS PAUL WOULD SAY, GOD'S COUNTRY, BUT WE'RE NOT GONNA HAVE IT HERE IN OUR GOD'S COUNTRY. AS FOR ADVERTISING, WE PLACED SOME ADVERTISING IN THE DAY TRIPPER NEWSLETTER THAT PROMOTED MCKINNEY. WE ALSO WAS PROMOTED IN THE DECEMBER TEXAS HIGHWAYS. THE DAYTRIPPERS TOP FIVE PICKS, SO AS AS DB LIGHTS TO SAY HE IS JUST THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING. SO WE'RE REALLY POLICE AND WITH THE PARTNERSHIP THAT WE HAVE HAD WITH HIM AND WHAT BETH HAD JUST PURSUED HIM AND PURSUED HIM AND PURSUED HIM AND. AND SO THAT FINALLY CAME TO FRUITION. WE HAVE TWO MORE INFLUENCERS THAT HAVE REACHED OUT TO US THAT WANT TO WORK WITH US. ONE WILL WORK WITH US AS A LOCAL GUEST BLOGGER, MEANING THAT WE WILL NOT HAVE TO HOST THEM. HE'LL BE DOING AH, BLOGGED ONLINE WITH OUR ASK A LOCAL CAMPAIGN. AND THEN WE HAVE THE OTHER ONE THAT WILL WORK INTO THERE ARE SCHEDULED FOR 2021. I THINK BETH ALREADY HAD SOME, BUT SHE WAS GONNA FIGURE OUT A WAY TO WORK THEM IN THIS WELL, AND THEN THE LAST THING YOU GUYS MAY KNOW OR MAY NOT KNOW, BUT THE YARD IS UP FOR BEST PATIO IN THE NORTH TEXAS AREAS, SO MAKE SURE YOU GO ON. BEST IN DFW AND VOTE FOR THEM AS OF EARLIER THIS WEEK. I'M SURE THE NUMBERS HAVE CHANGED. BUT EARLIER THIS WEEK, THE YARD HAD 903 VOTES. JOE T. GARCIA'S HAD 6 24. DESERT RACE WOULD HAD 1 70. THE TIPSY OAK HAD 143 SO WE JUST REALLY WANT TO RALLY BEHIND THE YARD AND REMIND YOU GUYS TO GO OUT AND VOTE AND WITH THAT I WILL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. SAID JUST TO GO TOE BEST IN D FW BEST IN DFW .COM.

NO I JUST LIKE TO SAY ONE THING ABOUT DOWNTOWN AND I KNOW WITH WITH ALL THE CHANGES ITS ZAVERI DIFFERENT THIS YEAR, BUT. I'VE SPENT A LOT OF TIME TRYING TO BUY LOCAL, OBVIOUSLY, SINCE WE'RE ON THIS BOARD AND ITS IMPORTANT BUT WE IT WAS SO BUSY DOWNTOWN TRYING TO SHOP IN THE EVENING. THAT I HAD TOMO PLACE AN ORDER FOR THE POPCORN. THEN I WAS FORCED TO GO HAVE WINE WHILE I WAS WAITING FOR THE POPCORN. THEN I CAME BACK THEN I REALIZED I CAN'T COUNT. SO I HAD TO ORDER MORE POPCORN, TOO, WHICH I THEN HAD TO SHOP MORE PLACES. BUT I HAD TO STAND IN LINE OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR BECAUSE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING, AND I NOTICED THAT IN A LOT OF BUSINESSES, EVERYBODY WAS BEING VERY SAFE. BUT IT WAS GREAT TO SEE THAT WE ALL HAD TO WAIT AND EVERYONE WAS PLEASANT AND HAPPY. AND MAYBE IT WAS THE WINE. I DON'T KNOW, BUT EVERYBODY WAS REALLY HAPPY. AND I LOVE TO SEE THAT DOWNTOWN WAS IT WAS GREAT. THANK YOU. THAT'S THAT'S AWESOME FEEDBACK. YET THERE ARE BUSINESSES ARE WORKING REALLY HARD TO MAKE SURE THAT PEOPLE ARE COMFORTABLE AND SAFE. AND WHAT A GREAT NIGHT DOWNTOWN MY KID WAS. I LOVE IT. THANK YOU.

THAT'S GREAT. WANTED TO SAY HOW GREAT THE. WAY THAT YOU EXTENDED IT OVER THE BASICALLY, IT FELT LIKE A MONTH. IT FELT VERY SAFE. IT STILL FELT LIKE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS FOR ME AND MY FAMILY, AND I JUST THINK YOU GUYS DID A GREAT JOB KNOWING WHAT I KNOW ECONOMICALLY SAVED A LOT OF MONEY. SO I THINK THAT YOU BOTH AND, WELL, YOUR WHOLE TEAM, YOU BOTH AND YOU AND YOU AND YOUR WHOLE TEAM REALLY PLANNED IT REALLY WELL. ALSO I DO WANT TO SAY HOW MUCH CHESTNUT SQUARE APPRECIATED THE CO PROMOTION. FOR THEIR EVENT. UM ANDRE. IT WAS AN EXAMPLE THAT THE REASON I'M BRINGING IT UP NOW IS ANYBODY. ANYBODY HERE WHO'S RUNNING EVENTS? THEY KNOW THEY'VE GOT A FRIEND IN AMY AND ANDREW IN TERMS OF HELPING PROMOTE ON THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA. OTHER NONPROFITS TOE LENDED OF MUCH LARGER VOICE THAT PERHAPS ANY ONE OF YOU INDIVIDUALLY MIGHT HAVE. IN THE AUDIENCE. SO YOU'VE BEEN JUST A REAL SPECIAL

AND OF COURSE, EVERYTHING GOING DOWNTOWN WANT ME AND MY DAUGHTER WHEN MY DAUGHTER CAME HOME FROM COLLEGE. MY FAVORITE SPOT. JUST CARE LIKE PIZZA, AND WE I SAID, HOLD IT. [00:25:04]

PARK SYSTEM IN GENERAL BEING ABLE TO GO OUT AND SEE IT ON AN EVERYDAY BASIS. I LIVE CLOSE TO A LONG WALKING TRAIL. YOU KNOW, I SEE THE PARKS AND RECS GUYS OUT THERE DOING BATTLE WITH A BEAVER DAM, AND I HOPE THEY NEVER TAKE IT DOWN BECAUSE TO SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING TO SEE THE WILDLIFE THAT COMES IN. UM I HAVE BEEN SO REFRESHED BY BEING IN A CITY THAT HAS BEAUTIFUL PARKS AND TAKES CARE OF THEM. I THINK EVERYBODY IN THIS ROOM ECHOES THAT. AND IT JUST GIVES US SUCH PRIDE AND PLEASURE TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE. SPACE DEVELOPED ON BEACON TIN EWING TO DEVELOP THAT SO KUDOS TO YOU IN YOUR TEAM BECAUSE YOU'VE DONE A LOT OF WORK THIS YEAR, AND WE'VE ALL APPRECIATE IT. THANK YOU. GREAT JOB. GRADUATION CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR AWARD. THANK YOU APPRECIATE IT. THANKS. I'M 26 1020-1090 PRESIDENT'S REPORT.

[President’s Report]

THANK YOU, MADAME. CHAIRMAN MEMBERS OF THE BOARD. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE REPORTS THAT WERE INCLUDED WITH THE AGENDA. FINAL REPORTS FOR OVATION. NORTH TEXAS HISTORY MUSEUM.

AND, UM WINE AND BEER WALK, I THINK. THOSE GROUPS REALLY DID AN INCREDIBLE JOB OF SHIFTING HOW THEY ORGANIZED THEIR EVENTS WITHIN THE COVERT ENVIRONMENT. AND DESPITE. THE IMPACT OF THAT HAD VERY SUCCESSFUL EVENTS, AND THEY'VE OUTLINED HOW THEY HOW THEY SUCCESSFULLY SHIFTED IN THE RESULTS OF THOSE EVENTS. SO PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THOSE. UM, SEVERAL. COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS THAT I WANTED TO MENTION THE CHAMBER'S ANNUAL. EVENT BEFORE IT'S BEEN A WINE WALK EVENT IN DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY, AND THEY HAVE ADAPTED AS WELL FOR THIS YEAR. TOC SHOP CLICK AND WINE. THE ACTUAL EVENT HAS ENDED. BUT THE COUPONS THERE WERE COUPONS THAT WERE SECURED FROM SMALL BUSINESSES ACROSS MCKINNEY, AND THEY'RE STILL AVAILABLE THROUGH THE END OF THIS MONTH. CRAIG RANCH FITNESS WAS A MAJOR SPONSOR OF THAT EVENT. AND IF YOU GO TO THAT WEB SITE YOU CAN YOU CAN. SECURE THE COUPONS THAT ARE AVAILABLE. THE OTHER THING THAT IS HAPPENING OUT OF COLLABORATIVE BASES THE CITY OF MCKINNEY AND THE MCKINNEY CHAMBER. HAVE PUT OUT A COVERT BUSINESS IMPACT SURVEY TO COLLECT INFORMATION FROM SMALL BUSINESSES ON THE IMPACT THEY HAVE SEEN AS A RESULT OF THE, UM. OPEN ENVIRONMENT AND THAT CAN BE ACCESSED VIA PHONE. IF YOU TEXT MCKINNEY STRONG 2833763333. YOU CAN FILL OUT THE INFORMATION ON THAT SURVEY AND LET. THE CITY. NO ONE WILL HELP SHAPE. I THINK POLICY MOVING FORWARD AND IDENTIFYING WAYS THAT WE CAN HELP BUSINESSES CITYWIDE GOING FORWARD. SO CHECK THAT OUT. I LEFT COPIES OF THIS WITH RESPECT TO HAVE WON 21. WE DON'T HAVE AN IN PERSON UPDATE. THIS MONTH, BUT DID LEAVE PROGRESS PHOTOS FOR EACH OF YOU TO SEE ALONG WITH EXPLANATIONS OF WHAT'S GOING ON. AND THERE ARE THINGS HAPPENING THERE.

THERE ARE A COUPLE OF RESTAURANTS, CEDAR CREEK BREWERY AND ELWOOD RESTAURANT.

THEY'RE GOING THROUGH THE PROCESS OF. SECURING THEIR CONTRACTORS AND GETTING READY TO START FINISH OUT AND THE OTHER BUILDINGS ARE WE'RE CONTINUING TO SEE PROGRESS ON THOSE ON THE TAPS. VERY RELOCATION AND THE CREATION OF THE ENTERTAINMENT VENUE EAST OF HIGHWAY FIVE. WE'VE BEEN. WORKING ON THE PROCESS OF SELECTION FOR A GENERAL CONTRACTOR. THEY WERE A GREAT. SUBMIT ALS TO THE R P THAT WENT OUT A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO.

WE'VE COMPLETED THE FIRST REVIEW HAVE INTERVIEWS TOMORROW, SO THAT IS MOVING FORWARD.

MAGIC GRAND DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 30TH. SO ANYBODY CONSIDERING SUBMITTING A PROJECT GRANT? KEEP THAT DATE IN MIND, AND THE LAST THING THAT I HAVE IS, SINCE THIS IS THE LAST MEETING OF THE YEAR. I JUST WANT TO EXTEND MY THANKS TO. ALL OF YOU FOR THE TIME THAT YOU SPEND THE INVESTMENT THAT YOU MAKE NOT ONLY ON THIS BOARD BUT TO THE CITY OF MCKINNEY. IT IS APPRECIATED BEYOND WHICH YOU CAN BELIEVE SO I THANK YOU FOR THAT AND WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY HOLIDAYS. MERRY CHRISTMAS. HAPPY NEW YEAR HAPPY HANUKKAH. AND IF ANYBODY ASKS QUESTIONS, PLEASE. WAY JUST SO MUCH APPRECIATE EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO. AUDIBLY PROFESSIONAL AND WELL ORGANIZED AND OFTEN TALK ABOUT HOW. WELL, THIS BOARD FUNCTIONS AND IT'S GOT

[00:30:03]

NOTHING TO DO WITH SEVEN OF US. YOU SOMETHING. NOT QUITE AMY, BUT. BETTER THAN THAT. OKAY, MOVING ON TO A REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS. WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT'S PRESENTING THAT WE WILL HAVE A THREE MINUTE TIMER GROWING. JUST WANT TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THAT, TOO. I SAID THIS AT THE LAST ONE OF THE LAST SET OF PRESENTATIONS, BUT IT'S WORTH REPEATING THE REASON WE WANT TO ASK EVERYBODY TO STAY ON TIME. IS THAT IT GIVES US AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASK QUESTIONS AND GET ENGAGED IN WHAT YOU'RE PRESENTING. IF YOU GO AWAY OVER TIME, THEN HONESTLY WONDER UP HERE. WE'RE JUST KIND OF WAITING FOR THE NEXT PRESENTATION, AND WE DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE THAT. GO FOR IT. THAT'S WHY IT'S IMPORTANT. I THINK THERE'S A LITTLE BIT OF GRACE. BUT. THAT'S WHY THE TIME LIMITS ARE IMPORTANT AND WE'VE GOT A LOT OF PRESENTATIONS AND WE WANT TO GET ENGAGED AND ASK QUESTIONS FOR EVERY ONE OF YOU. EXCELLENT. EUROPE EUROPE AGAIN, EVEN IF SHE GETS FIVE MINUTES? NO IT COULD BE.

LOST YOU. WHICHI WAS GOING OUT OF ORDER, OKAY? 0-10 IN ON ONE. CONSIDER

[Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by McKinney Main Street (PC #21-09) in the Amount of $7,500 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2021 Arts in Bloom Event.]

DISCUSS. EMOTIONAL COMMUNITY EVENT. GRANT APPLICATION SUBMITTED MY MCKINNEY MAIN STREET. PC 21 SPECIAL BOND IN THE AMOUNT OF $7500 FOR THE ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE 20. ANYONE. ARTS AND BLOOM EVENT. SO MCKINNEY MAIN STREET IS A PRIVATE FIVE, A ONE C THREE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WE HELP MANAGE THE HISTORIC DOWNTOWN CULTURAL DISTRICT. WE HAVE 120 BUSINESSES IN OUR DISTRICT THIS YEAR, COBEN 19 HAS HAD A MAJOR IMPACT ON OUR DOWNTOWN AND OUR PROGRAMS. HAD TO MAKE SOME DIFFICULT DECISIONS ARE SMALL BUSINESSES DEPEND ON FOOT. TRAFFIC IN THE PANDEMIC BROUGHT EVERYTHING TO AN ABRUPT HALT.

BRIGHTER DAYS ARE AHEAD. AND THIS YEAR WITH ARTS AND BLOOM WE INTEND TO BRING 35,000 VISITORS TO DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY, ARTS AND BLOOM IS A THREE DAY FESTIVAL SCHEDULED IN EARLY APRIL, STRATEGICALLY CALENDAR TO LINE WITH OTHER REGIONAL ART SHOWS. THE FESTIVAL SHOWCASE 100 LOCAL, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL ARTISTS REPRESENTING A VARIETY OF MEDIUMS. BOOSTS ARE SPREAD THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN AND INCLUDE REPRESENTATION FROM M I S T. ARJUN BLUM IS ALSO A CELEBRATION OF WINE WAY HAVE THREE WINERIES IN THE DOWNTOWN, AND THIS YEAR WE'RE STAYING AWAY FROM ONE LARGE WINE TENT. WINERIES WILL PROVIDE SAMPLES IN SEPARATE BOOTHS THAT OFFER LOTS OF SPACE IS FOR EVERYONE. WE'RE ALL ABOUT FAMILIES IS WELL, TOO. WE KNOW THAT THEY'RE AN IMPORTANT AUDIENCE, AND WE'LL HAVE ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES. WE MAY NOT HAVE HER BIG MAIN STAGES THIS YEAR, BUT WE'LL MAKE SURE THAT MUSIC IS ALIVE AND ALL OVER DOWNTOWN.

OUR GOALS FOR ART IN BLOOM INCLUDE THE PROMOTION OF DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY HIGHLIGHTING THE ARTS IN THE CULTURAL DISTRICT AND INCREASING FOOT TRAFFIC AND SALES. THESE LARGE SCALE EVENTS GIVE US THE ABILITY TO ATTRACT VISITORS. AND GUESTS FROM ACROSS NORTH TEXAS. IT GIVES US AN OPPORTUNITY TO MARKET IN WAYS THAT WE TYPICALLY CAN'T WE'RE ASKING FOR $7500. WE HAVE A BUDGET OF 10,000 WERE GONNA SPEND 3000 AND PRINT 3000 AND SOCIAL MEDIA AND 3000 ON A BILLBOARD AND HOW WE'RE GONNA MEASURE THE SUCCESS. WE'RE GOING TO TALK TO PEOPLE THAT ATTEND THE EVENT. THIS IS CHARTS FROM PREVIOUS YEARS, WE'RE GOING TO GET INPUT FROM ARTISTS THAT ATTEND AND SURVEYS FROM THE FROM THE ARTIST. MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE'RE GOING TO SEEK FEEDBACK FROM OUR BUSINESSES, ARTS AND BLOOM BRINGS IMPORTANT FOOT TRAFFIC AND SALES TO DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY. SO ON BEHALF OF OUR BOARD AND STAFF, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE CONSIDERATION. CUTE LOOKS. ABSOLUTELY. I GOT A QUESTION.

UH, I UNDERSTAND HOW HARD IT IS TO COORDINATE WITH ARTISTS AND ALL OTHER. SORT OF DIFFERENT EVENTS AND THINGS LIKE THAT. UM I WAS JUST YOU PROBABLY MEETING ON THIS ALREADY AT YOUR IN YOUR BOARD. IF YOU CONSIDER OR COULD YOU CONSIDER MOVING BACK THE DATE GIVEN THE VACCINE

[00:35:08]

POTENTIAL TIMING, YOU KNOW, I'VE HEARD THAT IT'S POTENTIAL THAT MOST PEOPLE COULD BE VACCINATED BY THE END OF APRIL. MAYBE, LIKE EITHER THE END OF MAY EARLY JUNE OR AUGUST TO THE POINT WHERE. YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE THE EVENT THAT YOU WANTED? YEAH NO, THAT'S A THAT'S A REALLY GREAT POINT, AND WE HAVE HAD LOTS OF TIMING CONVERSATIONS. I THINK THE THING THAT REALLY STICKS IN OUR MIND RIGHT NOW IS THAT. WERE ABLE TO KIND OF WORK WITH OTHER AREA FESTIVALS. DEEP ELLUM ARTS FESTIVAL COTTONWOOD, THERE'S ANOTHER ONE THAT'S OUTSIDE OF HOUSTON. SO ARTISTS ARE KIND OF ABLE TO GET ON A ROUTE AND EVEN YOU KNOW, THE FORT WORTH MAIN STREET ART FESTIVAL. SO TIMING YOU KNOW, WE HAVE ALREADY PUT OUT FOR THIS DATE. WE HAVE APPLICATIONS COMING IN. I DO THINK, THOUGH. THE STRUCTURE OF THIS FESTIVAL, AS OPPOSED TO EVEN LIKE OCTOBERFEST OR EVEN HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. YOU KNOW WHERE YOU HAVE THAT BIG TREE LIGHTING WITH ALL OF THE PEOPLE TOGETHER. THIS IS AN OPEN AIR MARKET.

WEAKEN BUFFER. WE CAN SPREAD THE TENTS OUT. WE CAN GIVE THEM MORE SPACE. I THINK ANDREW'S LOOKING AT LIKE 10 FT BETWEEN TENTS. SO FROM A. YOU KNOW AN ATTENDEE STANDPOINT, YOU KNOW, AND FROM A PARTICIPANT STANDPOINT, THIS WILL BE A VERY SAFE EVENT. NOW. CAN WE HAVE A FUN CONCERT THAT NIGHT? PROBABLY NOT. BUT I THINK THERE'S ALSO THAT KIND OF UNDISCOVERED HAVING YOU KNOW, STREET PERFORMERS ON DIFFERENT CORNERS THAT KIND OF PEOPLE ENJOY. AND AGAIN, THE WINE TENT IS PROBABLY NOT GONNA BE THAT BIG WINE TENT WHERE EVERYBODY'S IN THERE. YOU KNOW, HAVING SAMPLES? IT'S PROBABLY IT'S GOING TO BE WINERIES THAT AIR DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN. BUT THERE'S SOME GOOD THINGS, TOO. THAT AS WELL, KIND OF SOME EXPLORATION. THE OTHER THING THAT REALLY IS ON OUR MIND RIGHT NOW, TOO. IS THAT CONSTRUCTION ON LOUISIANA SO YOU KNOW IF. I THINK WE'RE GOING TO NEED SOMETHING IN APRIL AND MAY NOT BE, YOU KNOW 100% ARTS AND BLOOM OF WHAT IT TYPICALLY IS, BUT I REALLY HOPE WE CAN KEEP IT THERE. HAVE YOU REDUCED THE NUMBER OF VENDORS OR YOU'RE JUST SPREADING OUT MORE AND UTILIZING MAURA OF DOWNTOWN WE HAVE TYPICALLY WERE ABOUT 1 20 ARTISTS THIS YEAR.

IT'S PROBABLY GOING TO BE CLOSER TO THE 85 TO THE HUNT. 100 YOU KNOW, AGAIN, WE ARE REDUCING KIND OF WHAT WE'RE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE. THERE'S BEEN SOME TALK TO ABOUT POTENTIALLY. RELOCATING SOME OF THE ARTISTS INTO SOME OF THE ADJACENT PARKING LOTS. KIND OF, YOU KNOW, MAYBE PROVIDING SOME EXPOSURE TO OUR PARKING LOTS. THAT'S ALWAYS TRICKY, TOO, BECAUSE THEN IT'S LIKE. PARKING SO, BUT WE'RE WORKING THROUGH THE LOGISTICS. I APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT YOU'VE ALREADY STARTED WITH PLAN B. THRILL IMPORTANT IN THIS TIME TO PLAN FOR THE WORST, AND THEN IF YOU GET TO ADJUST BACK TO MORE NORMAL, THAT'S PROBABLY AN EASIER ADJUSTMENT. THEN GO IN THE OTHER DIRECTION, SO I APPRECIATE. ENDED THIS WAY.

YEAH, THANKS. THANKS. RIGHT? THANK YOU SO MUCH. THANKS FOR THE CONSIDERATION. THANKS. ADAM

2010 MONTU DISCOVERED THIS CONSIDER DISCUSS PROMOTIONAL IN COMMUNITY EVENT GRANT APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY QANTAS CLUB OF MCKINNEY, YOU SEE 21 NEXT YEAR. JUST DON'T START MY TIMER. YET NOW THE ADVERTISING MARKETING WHAT I WANTED TO SAY IS IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR M C D.

C HOLD NOT FOR MONEY FOR A COUPLE YEARS BECAUSE WE HAVE SOME LOGISTICAL PROBLEMS HAVING TO MOVE OUR TRIATHLON. AND IMPACT, AND ANDREW JONES AND AMY AND THE PARKS DEPARTMENT WORKING GREAT WITH HIM. WE GOT EVERYTHING TOGETHER LAST YEAR AND A VERY SUCCESSFUL TRAVEL LOT. SO APRIL'S A GOOD DATE. APRIL 25TH YOU GO DARTS AND BLOOM AND WHEN YOU GET DONE, YOU COME AND COMPETE IN THE TRIATHLON ON APRIL 25TH. SO PUT DOWN YOUR COUNTER. BUT WE WANT TO THANK EVERYBODY WITH THAT. GO AHEAD. AND IF YOU GOT THE TAPE. WE'RE GOING TO WRITE.

ABOUT A MINUTE OF IT THAT WOULD CUT FLOWERS. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO WAIT? DON'T ONE OF OUR REVERENCE MAKES SURE WE DON'T SPEND ANY MONEY PUTTING ME TOGETHER FOR MONEY SO, BUT IT IS NOT MY SON. THE GREAT DAY THIS YEAR AND IMPACT ARE APEX IS A GREAT PLACE TO HOLD THIS THING THAT WORKED OUT TO BE GREAT FOR US. WHAT DO YOU WANT? A NIGHT LIKE THIS. PLEASE. GIVE ME THIS WAY. WE'RE ALMOST. NEVER MOVE. ON. BEAT. HOT. HOT HOT. ACTUALLY STARTED ABOUT

[00:40:14]

FOUR IN THE MORNING ON THAT SUNDAY, MAKING SURE EVERYTHING IS SET UP TO GET EVERYBODY OUT THERE. I'M GONNA TALK OVER THIS AND YOU GOT ANY QUESTIONS? YOU COME UP WITH THIS? WHAT'S VERY IMPORTANT IS TO KEEP IN THE BACK OF YOUR MIND. IGUANAS CLUB WERE EVERY YEAR I TELL YOU THE SAME THING. WE'RE A GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT PAID MONEY TO BELONG, ORGANIZATION SAID WE COULD MAKE MONEY AND GIVE IT ALL AWAY. NOBODY GETS PAID WITHIN ORGANIZATION. SO THE $2500 THAT WE'RE ASKING FOR GOES FOR THE PROMOTION TO BRING THE ATHLETES IN THE MCKINNEY AND THE BATTERIES THAT WE HAVE. WHICH MEANS VERY LOGISTICALLY SET UP WELL PLANNED THE AFTERWARDS ONE DAY GET THE FOOD AND THE MEDALS AND ALL THAT STUFF THAT HAS DONE WELL. DON'T COME BACK THE NEXT YEAR. THESE PEOPLE COME TO MCKINNEY AND PROBABLY ABOUT 50% OF FROM OUTSIDE OF 30 MILE RADIUS OF THE KIDNEY, SO I KNOW WHEN I GO TO DALLAS TO AH, RACE IN MY YOUNGER DAYS, I'D STAY IN DALLAS SO MUCH EASIER. SO I'M HOPING THESE PEOPLE AND I CAN'T GIVE YOU STATISTICS AND WHO STAYS IN MCKINNEY, BUT WE HAD SEVERAL FROM DOWN SAN ANTONIO AREA. LOUISIANA, ARKANSAS, OKLAHOMA. ONE FROM HAWAII, WHO HAVEN'T BANNED VACATION UP HERE USED TO LIVE HERE. OBVIOUSLY. IT'S A BIG EVENT. AND EVERY DOLLAR THAT WE SAVE. WAS BACKED INTO COMMUNITY AND ONE OF THINGS I WANT TO TELL YOU. WE HAD TO RECENTLY BECAUSE IT HAD WE HAD A REQUEST LAST WEEK EMERGENCY REQUEST FROM THE MCKINNEY HOUSING AUTHORITY PERSON FUNDS BECAUSE OF SOME TOY ISSUES WERE. THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE STORY'S A GIVEAWAY TO THE KIDS, AND SO ON. BECAUSE WE HAD MONEY. WE COULD GIVE SOME MONEY AWAY, SO THAT DOESN'T MEAN EVERYBODY IN THESE REQUESTED TODAY, BUT IT'S BECAUSE IT'S THERE. IT MEANS IT CAN'T BE SPENT, AND IT'S MEANT TO BE SPENT. AND AS I SAID, IS IT SPENT IN THE COMMUNITY. AND WE SOCIALLY DISTANCE PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE POOL AS BEST WE COULD WAY ARE GOING TO PUT SOME MORE PORT A JOHNS OUT THERE NEXT YEAR. WHAT YOU TAKE A DIFFERENCE, BUT YOU COULD SEE EVERYBODY WAS HAPPY TO HAVE AN EVENT AND WE PICKED APRIL THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF BECOMING OUT OF THE COVERT 19. AND UH, IF YOU PICK IT EARLY IN THE YEAR, THEY'RE READY TO GET STARTED.

IT'S NOT A IRON MAN. YOU BACK WHERE THEY DO 26 MILES AND RUN. LIKE 100 MILES. IT'S A START TO SEE HOW GOOD THEY ARE. AND THEN THEY START GOING THROUGH THIS SUMMER DOING EVERYTHING. SO THAT'S WHY THE DATA'S PICK LIKE AMY'S GOTTA PICK THE DATE AROUND EVERYTHING ELSE. WAY HAVE YOUNG AND OLD IN THE EVENT AND HOPEFULLY SOMETIME WE CAN WORK OUT. WHERE WOULDN'T GET A CHILDREN'S TRAVEL ON AGAIN. SO QUESTIONS. AWESOME PRESENTATION. GREAT TO SEE WHAT YOU WERE ABLE TO DO IN THE COLBERT TIMES. AND DEFINITELY APPRECIATE YOUR PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND GIVE HIM BACK. THAT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, ESPECIALLY IN THESE TIMES. UM. I'M GONNA HAVE TO GET OUT THERE PARTICIPATED. YOU HAVE OLD 45 SOMETHING CATEGORY. WE HAVE A FIVE KATY PERRY PUT IN WITH THIS THING, SO IT'S JUST AMAZING. AND I THINK IN THESE TIMES, JUST THE COMMUNITY AND EVERYBODY'S JUST READY TO KIND OF BE OUT AND DO SOMETHING AND BE AMONG OTHER PEOPLE WHO. HAVING TENSION THAT ARE MORE INTENTIONAL ABOUT HEALTH AND HAVING FUN AND BEING PART OF SOMETHING THAT GIVES THAT TO THE COMMUNITY. SO GREAT JOB. AS I SAID, WITH ANDREW AND THE PARKS DEPARTMENT, WE ALL BROUGHT IT TOGETHER AND IT'S A GREAT VENUE OUT THERE AT APEX. IT'S GONNA PAY OUT DIVIDENDS IN THE FUTURE BEING. THEY'RE VS MCKINLEY HIGH SCHOOL WAS GOOD WITH US. BUT THIS IS BETTER THAN ANTICIPATED. NO. HEY. QUESTIONS. THANK YOU'S. 201093 CONSIDER DISCUSS PROMOTIONAL

LIKE ANY RESIDENTS AND VISITORS ARE INVITED TO EXPERIENCE GOOD TIMES A COLD BEVERAGES IN DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY, THE SIPPING STROLL SYRIA'S CONSISTS OF FIVE WALKS, TWO OF WHICH KICK OFF OF THE FIVE K RUN TAKING PLACE AT TOPS. THESE EVENTS BRING LOCAL RESIDENTS AND VISITORS TO

[00:45:03]

DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY AND INSIDE THE SHOPS WHERE THEY'LL BE ABLE TO ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL MERCHANTS SPEND MONEY IN MCKINNEY AND ENJOY DELICIOUS BEVERAGES. NOT ONLY WILL THE WALKS, INCREASED SALES AND FOOT TRAFFIC FOR DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS, BUT IT WILL ALSO HELP IN PROMOTING DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY ON A CONSISTENT BASIS, KEEPING A TOP OF MIND WITH COLLIN COUNTY SHOPPERS. WALKS ATTRACT MCKINNEY RESIDENTS BUT ALSO BRING LOTS OF PEOPLE FROM THE SURROUNDING AREAS. SOCIAL DISTANCING. EACH WALK IS CAPTAIN 1500. PARTICIPANTS IN 2020. WE HOSTED FIVE WALKS AND DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY AND WE SUCCESSFULLY SOLD OUT EACH ONE THE SO IF SOCIAL DISTANCE HE MEASURES LIGHTEN UP IN MID YEAR WE CAN INCREASE THESE NUMBERS TO 2000 PARTICIPANTS. IN ADDITION TO BRINGING TOURISM TO MCKINNEY, OUR GOALS ARE TO CREATE FUN EXPERIENCES FOR RESIDENCY, INCREASE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE AND SHOWCASE MCKINNEY AS A UNIQUE AND MUSIC FRIENDLY DESTINATION. WALKS ALL FEATURE LOCAL MUSICIANS PERFORMING AROUND THE SQUARE. MAKE THESE WALKS. A LOT OF FUN. THE FEAST $30 IN ATTENDEES RECEIVE A SIGNATURE EVENT. TASER ON EVENT MAP, DIRECTING THEM ON THEIR TASTING JOURNEY AND 15 TO 20 DELICIOUS BEVERAGE TASTINGS. SOME OF THE WALKS WILL INCLUDE A VENDOR MARKET WITH OTHER FUN ACTIVITIES LIKE CULINARY DEMOS. LONG GAMES PHOTO BOOTH. LIVE MUSIC WILL SURROUND THE SQUARE AND PARTICIPANTS ARRIVE BASED ON THEIR CHOSEN WINDOW FOR SOCIAL DISTANCIN WALKING THEMES INCLUDE MCKINNEY, ST PATRICK'S DAY, BEER WALK AND SHAMROCK RUN. MCKINNEY CRAFT BEER WALK. MCKINNEY, MARGARITA STROLL, MCKINNEY, TASTE OF SUMMER AND MCKINNEY, HALLOWEEN WALK IN MONSTER DASH. FIVE K. MM HMM. 2020 PARTICIPATING MERCHANTS SHARED THEIR FEEDBACK WITH SOME OF THE THAT LISTED BELOW HERE. MM HMM. EACH WALK WILL DONATE 20% OF ITS NET PROCEEDS TO MCKINNEY MAIN STREET AND ADDITIONAL 1500 PER EVENT TO A LOCAL NONPROFIT. MCKINNEY, MAIN STREET IS A PARTNER ON EVERY EVENT. WE ALSO PARTNER WITH AN ADDITIONAL NONPROFIT. SOME OF OUR RETURNING 2020 NONPROFIT PARTNERS WERE OUR HUGS CAFE.

THE WARRIORS KEEP EMBRACED TEXAS AND MCKINNEY FREE LITTLE PANTRY. WE WILL MEASURE THE EVENT SUCCESS BASED ON OUR ATTENDANCE. WE HOPE TO SELL OUT EACH WALKING 1500. OUR SUCCESS WILL ALSO BE DEPENDENT ON FEEDBACK FROM THE LOCAL MERCHANTS. WE ALL WE WANT TO HEAR THAT THEY ALL HAD A SPECTACULAR SALES DAY. YEAH. AS THERE ARE FIVE EVENTS IN THIS SERIES. WE REALLY NEED EVERY BIT OF THE 15,000 EFFECTIVELY PROMOTE EACH EVENT TO ACHIEVE OUR GOAL OF SELLING OUT OF 1500 ATTENDEES PER EVENT. MARKETING PLAN INCLUDES SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN WITH PAID AS AN ORGANIC POSTINGS, DIGITAL ADVERTISING TO TARGET THOSE WHO VISIT OUR WEB PAGES. PR ASSISTANCE. DFW SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCERS. EVENT FLIERS.

LOCAL PRINT ADS IN THE LOCAL RADIO RADIO CAMPAIGN UP WORK TO CREATE GRAPHIC MARKETING MATERIALS, THE 15,000 TO PUT TOWARDS ADVERTISING. THE FIVE EVENTS WILL BE INSTRUMENTAL INTO SERIOUS SUCCES WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE A PARTNERSHIP WITH M. C D. C ON THIS IMPACTFUL EVENT SERIES AND DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY. THANK YOU. MUCH IS A TICKET. $30. JUST HAVE ONE COMMENT. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT YOU HAVE INCREASED YOUR CHARITABLE GIVING FROM THESE EVENTS. I'M HAPPY TO SEE THAT. RIGHT. THANK YOU. YES, WE WAY WERE FORTUNATE. THIS YEAR AMID EVERYTHING GOING ON WITH COVERT TO BE ABLE TO DONATE JUSTIN MCKINNEY ALONE OVER $20,000 TOE, LOCAL NONPROFITS. AND. IS THE 8000 THAT YOU'RE GETTING FROM VISIT MCKINNEY. IS THAT GOING TOWARDS THE SAME EVENT? YES, MA'AM, ALSO WILL BE APPLIED TO THE SYRIZA. IS THAT REQUEST ALSO FOR PROMOTIONAL GRANTS FROM C P R, FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES FROM CVB, OR IS IT FOR SOMETHING ELSE? YES, TO BE USED FOR ADVERTISING MARKETING. OKAY, SO. DYING $23,000 YOU REQUESTED FROM THE CITY FOR ADVERTISING AND MARKETING. CORRECT. YEAH. YOU HAVE. IT ALSO LOOKS LIKE A PLAN BEING IN SIMILAR TO WHICH HE HAD THIS LOOKS LIKE A PLAN B SIMILAR TO WHAT YOU HAD TO DO FOR 2020 SO. OTHER THAN POSSIBLY INCREASING TO 2000. IF THINGS DO COMPLETELY LIGHTEN UP. DO YOU SEE THAT? MAYBE YOU WOULD EVEN GREATER THAN 2000.

OR IS THAT JUST KIND OF WHAT YOU HAVE IN MIND NOW? DO THAT, WITH THE AMOUNT EMERGENCY PARTICIPATE. 2000 IS KIND OF THE MAX CAPACITY THAT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE COMFORTABLY AT EACH MERCHANT. SOME OF THE MERCHANTS COULD CERTAINLY HANDLE PROBABLY LARGER NUMBERS, BUT A LOT OF THEM CAN'T BASED ON THE SIZE OF THEIR STORES. SO WE WOULDN'T INCREASE BEYOND THAT. WE DO HOPE THAT BY SUMMER AND MOVING INTO FALL, WE CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH OUR REGULAR FESTIVALS, LARGE SCALE EVENTS, THINGS THAT WERE USED TONTO UNACCUSTOMED TO WHICH IS PART OF THE REASON WHY ALL THE MARKETING DOLLARS HELP. WITH THE MARGINS ALREADY BEING VERY

[00:50:05]

SMALL ON THESE WALKS COMPARED TO WHAT WE'RE USED TO, WITH OUR LARGER FESTIVALS WHERE WE CAN BRING IN LOTS OF VENDORS, LOTS OF SPONSORSHIPS, THINGS LIKE THAT TO HELP OFFSET. THOSE COSTS. WOULD YOU SAY THE GROSS MARGIN IS ON A $30 TICKET? UM. NO, IT VARIES BY BEER, MARGARITA OR WHATEVER, BUT JUST ROUGHLY SO LIKE HALF. YEAH MAYBE TRYING TO DO THIS QUICK MATH IN MY HEAD ON. MAYBE 15 TO 20. OF THE YOU KNOW, IS ACTUAL PROFIT ABOVE THAT OF THAT $30 SO 20% PROFIT EIGHTIES COST RIGHT? I HAVE A QUESTION. SO I SEE YOUR FINAL REPORT TO US FROM THIS PAST YEAR'S EVENT. IT'S INCLUDED IN THE PRESENTATION. DO YOU KNOW BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH YOU MAY HAVE HAD SO MANY 15,015 1500. REGISTERED PAY DID THAT MANY ACTUALLY. YOU KNOW, CHICKEN AND REGISTER. YOU KNOW, SOMETHING COULD HAVE COME UP. THEY BOUGHT A TICKET BUT DIDN'T GO. DID YOU HIT YOUR 1500 OF ACTUALLY, WHO CHECKED IN AND. YEAH, THAT'S A GREAT QUESTION. UM, ON ANY. TYPICAL EVENT, WHETHER IT'S A LARGE FESTIVAL OR SOMETHING LIKE THIS. WE KNOW THAT THERE'S A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT FOR WHATEVER REASON, DIDN'T MAKE IT THAT DAY. WE CAN WE CAN GAUGE THAT BY THE AMOUNT OF LEFTOVER MATERIALS THAT WE HAD PURCHASED FOR. WHETHER THAT'S AH, A MAP FOR THE EVENT OR A TASTER CUP. SO ON A 1500 PARTICIPATE BIT EVENT ON ANYWHERE FROM ABOUT 13 52 14 50 CHECK IN, YOU KNOW, LEAVING ABOUT 102 150 PEOPLE THAT THAT DIDN'T MAKE IT THAT DAY. SO YOU DO HAVE A POINT. LET'S SAY LET'S SAY BY OCTOBER, THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS. YOU MAY GO BACK TO SOMETHING THAT LOOKED LIKE 2019. YES, MAN. YES. OH, THE FALL. SEVEN STROLL WALKS AND SOME ARE WOULD STILL GO ON AS PLANNED, BUT WE'RE HOPING. YOU KNOW THINGS LIKE MCKINNEY WANTED MUSIC ARE BACK TO FULL CAPACITY BY THE FALL ARE OCTOBER. THINGS LIKE THAT ARE BACK AND A SNORKEL BY THE FALL.

SO THEN THE PLAN, I GUESS FOR THE UM ST PATRICK'S DAY. YOU'LL STILL STACKED. WILL YOU STAGGER THE START TIMES AGAIN? JUST IN CASE WE'RE NOT. RIGHT THERE YET WITH KOBE'S YES. OH THE NORMALLY THE BIG FESTIVAL WE DO OVER AT TUBBS WOULD YOU KNOW WILL BE MODIFIED TO MOSTLY GONNA BE JUST THE RACE PARTICIPANTS AND THEN WE'RE HOPING UM. THAT MOST OF THOSE THAT WOULD GET TO SIGN UP FOR THE RACE WILL ALSO PARTICIPATE ON COME OVER TO DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WALK, BUT BUT, YOU KNOW, AROUND MARCH ST PATRICK'S DAY, I THINK WE'RE STILL GONNA BE IN THE SA SIMILAR SITUATION WHAT WE'RE IN NOW BEFORE THAT VACCINE CAN REALLY BEFORE WE REALLY SEE THE EFFECTS OF CASE NUMBER IS GOING DOWN. SO.

SARGE, IS THAT ANSWER? YES, THAT ANSWERS MY QUESTION. AND I AND I WAS I WAS THINKING ABOUT THIS. ESSO LAST YEAR WAS YOUR FIRST YEAR TO DO. THE MARGARITA WINE AND BEER WALKS IN DOWNTOWN AND THEN YOU'VE KIND OF TAKEN THE MONSTER DASH AND THE ST PATRICK'S DAY AND KIND OF MADE IT ALL INTO THE SYRIZA. SO IN MY CORRECT IN THAT THAT THE. THREE WALKS LAST YEAR WERE BRAND NEW AS OF LAST YEAR, AND SO YOU'RE JUST INCORPORATING THEM INTO THIS BIG SERIES FOR THIS NEXT YEAR, HUH? YEAH ABSOLUTELY. YES WE'RE ON. WE'RE STILL GOING TO OUR PLAN IS TO STILL CONTINUE TO DO LIKE A LOT OF BUSINESSES THAT FIGURE OUT WAYS TO PIVOT SOME OF THEIR BUSINESS MODELS DURING COVE. IT. IT'S THE SAME FOR US. WE THINK THAT THESE WALKS ARE SUCCESSFUL.

A GREAT WAY TO BRING PEOPLE TO DOWNTOWN TO SHOP. YOU KNOW, WITH THE MERCHANTS. THAT'S SOMETHING THAT WE'RE EVEN ONCE WE'RE PAST COVE. IT. NOT SOMETHING THAT WE'RE GONNA ELIMINATE, JUST KIND OF INCORPORATE INTO OUR BUSINESS BECAUSE WE THINK IT'S JUST. IT MAKES SENSE FOR US. I HAVE ONE SUGGESTION. BECAUSE I ENJOY THESE SYRIZA, UM. WHEN YOU IT'S INTERESTING BECAUSE YOU GO AND YOU'RE HAVING THESE TASTINGS AND YOU'RE LIKE, OH, I LOVE THAT ONE. I LOVE THAT ONE. AND THEN YOU GET A LITTLE NOTE THAT SAYS YOU CAN GET THIS EXPECTS, AND THEN I FORGET, AND THEN I DON'T GET IT EXPECTS. AND THEN I'M TRYING TO REMEMBER WHAT? WHY IT WAS. IT WOULD BE GREAT EVENTUALLY, IF WE'RE AT THAT POINT. HAVEN'T AREA AFTER THE WALK, WHERE PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY GO AND PURCHASE THOSE WINES AND TAKE THEM HOME WITH THEM ON DIVE DONE, IT WALKS LIKE THAT. AND IT'S ACTUALLY REALLY NICE BECAUSE YOU HAVE YOUR CARD AND YOU ACTUALLY EVEN. VOTE ON THE BEST WINE AND THEN YOU CAN GO AND ACTUALLY BUY IT LATER. SO THAT'S JUST MY SUGGESTION. ABSOLUTELY. THAT'S A GREAT SUGGESTION. THANK YOU. ONE LAST QUESTION. WHAT IS YOUR BUDGET FOR ADVERTISING PROMOTION OUTSIDE OF THE GRANTS. WHAT ARE

[00:55:06]

YOU SPENDING ON? IT? ADDITIONALLY UM IN TERMS OF, YOU KNOW, AN ACTUAL BUDGET.

THAT'S KIND OF. DON'T HAVE AN EXACT FIGURE FOR YOU. IT'S DEPENDENT ON HOW MUCH WE'RE ABLE TO RECEIVE THROUGH, YOU KNOW, LIKE I SAID, WITH THE MARGINS ALREADY BEING SIGNIFICANTLY SMALL WORLD WERE YOU KNOW WE WOULD TRY AND STRETCH AS MUCH AS WE COULD TO PUT TOWARDS THE PROMOTION OF OUR OWN. MONEY, BUT IT WOULD BE DEPENDENT ON HOW MUCH WE'RE ABLE TO DO ON HOW MUCH WE'RE ABLE TO LEVER SOME OF OUR PARTNERSHIPS WITH WITH INFLUENCERS AND ANOTHER CHANNELS TO ADVERTISE. UM. SO IS IT SAFE TO SAY THAT THE 23,000 YOU'VE REQUESTED FROM THE CITY IS 100% OF YOUR MARKETING BUDGET AT THIS POINT.

UM IT WOULDN'T BE 100. WE WOULD, UM, CONTRIBUTE. OTHER MONEY, BUT IT WOULD BE CLOSE TO THE MAJORITY. THE BUDGET CORRECT AS OF RIGHT NOW. BUT LIKE I SAID, WHATEVER. WOULDN'T BE HAD. I MEAN, OUR GOAL. YOU KNOW, WE'RE GONNA BRING 1500 PEOPLE. REGARDLESS WE'RE GOING TO SELL OUT. HOWEVER, WE NEED T DO THAT SO. SO WE'LL PUT WHATEVER MONEY WE NEED TO AND BASED ON HOW SALES ARE TRENDING. YOU KNOW, WHATEVER WE NEED TO DO TO GET THOSE PARTICIPANTS THERE, BUT. IT'S ALL GONNA BE DEPENDENT ON YOU KNOW THESE THINGS GRANT MONEY.

THING I DO WANT TO SAY IS I DO MAKE A POINT. EVERY TIME YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE EVENTS OF TALKING TO A LOT OF MERCHANTS ARE GOING TOE LIKE ABOUT A THIRD OF THEM ANYWAY. AND THEY ALL ECHO WHAT YOU HAD SAID ON YOUR PRESENTATION. HOW MUCH THEY APPRECIATE IT AND HOW MUCH THEY APPRECIATE THE TRAFFIC AND IT'S THAT'S A BIG DEAL. YEAH. I MEAN, IT'S THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGING THAT AND WE DO YOU KNOW OF SEA RECEIVED, YOU KNOW PRETTY MUCH ALL THE FEEDBACK IS POSITIVE. SO IT'S WE THINK IT'S YOU KNOW, IT'S A WIN WIN WIN FOR THE BUSINESSES THAT THERE'S NO COST TO THEM. ALL THEY SEE IS THE YOU KNOW THE PROMOTIONAL. YOU KNOW THE ADVERTISING FOR THE PRESENTS AND BRINGING IN THE FOOT TRAFFIC TO THEIR THEIR STORES.

LIKE DAVID, I'M GLAD TO SEE THAT THE CHARITABLE INCREASED SEEMS TO HAVE INCREASED A SWELL THANK YOU. SO MUCH. THANK YOU. ADAM 20 THAT'S 1094 CONSIDER DISCUSS PROMOTIONAL COMMUNITY

OF IT. GRANT APPLICATION SUBMITTED ABOUT A HERITAGE FIELD OF COLLIN COUNTY P. C 21-3 OR THREE AND THE AMOUNT OF $12,500 FOR THE ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION. THE 2021 EVENTS, INCLUDING FARMERS MARKET EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM, GROOMING, MURDER, MYSTERY FARM, FRESH MARKET DINNER AND ANNUAL. LIST. MILTON ICE CREAM CRINKLE. THANK YOU. MORNING, EVERYONE.

MY NAME'S BRIAN MEDINA ON THE CURRENT CHAIRMAN OF JUSTICE SQUARE. OUR FRIEND JAMIE ASKED ME TO STEP IN THIS MORNING. SHE WASN'T FEELING SO HOT, SO I'M GONNA DO MY BEST. SHARE WITH YOU. WHAT WERE LOOKING TOL UTILIZE YOUR RESOURCE IS FOR SO THANKS FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY. UM.

THIS YEAR HAS BEEN A CHALLENGING YEAR FOR US, AND BUT WE'RE EXCITED THAT YOU CONTINUE TO PROVIDE THREE SOURCES AND. ACTIVITIES FOR THE CITY. AND THE MONEY THAT WE'RE GONNA BE ASKING FOR TODAY WILL BE FOCUSED PRIMARILY ON SOME OF OUR CORVETTES THAT WERE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS PAST YEAR DURING COVERT THE SPRING FARMERS MARKET FARM DINNER.

MURDER MYSTERY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND THEN OUR ICE CREAM CRANK OFF. I TOUCHED ON THIS A LITTLE BIT HERE. BUT AGAIN, WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING WHAT WE COULD DO WITH RESPECT, TOLO. WHAT'S GONNA BE TRANSITIONING IN THE NEW YEAR. SO WHAT THINGS WE HAVE DONE? IS WE PARTNER WITH THE LOCAL SOCIAL MEDIA PARTNER. SHE'S DONE A GREAT JOB WITH OUR BRANDING AND GETTING THE WORD OUT ON A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT WAYS. SO THAT'S ONE WAYS. WE'VE BEEN DOING A LOT OF THINGS IN HOUSE TO PROMOTE OUR ACTIVITIES. WE'VE PARTNERED WITH AMY ON SEVERAL THINGS THAT'S SIMILAR TO WHAT RICK. MENTIONED TO US EARLIER BUT AGAIN, WE WANT TO FOCUS ON THE MURDER MYSTERY. THE CHILDREN'S CAMPS. ACTIVITIES ARE FARMERS MARKETS FOR THINGS BUDGET. THE ASSET WE HAVE IS FOR 12,500. THIS REPRESENTS ABOUT 80% OF OUR BUDGET FOR THE SPRING EVENTS. WE'VE UTILIZED. SEVERAL OF THE LOCAL RESOURCE IS FOR MARKETING. AND THIS IS WHERE THESE DOLLARS WILL BE GOING INTO DIFFERENT AVENUES SUCH AS THE STAR LOCAL MEDIA STONEBRIDGE RANCH MAGAZINE, EDIBLE MAGAZINE DALLAS SO WE DO GET THE WORD OUT. THROUGHOUT THE D FW MARKET. THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE BROKEN DOWN AND HOW WE'D BE ALLOCATING THE DOLLARS FOR THIS ASK AND SO YOU CAN SEE THE ITEMIZED BROKEN DOWN HERE. ONE THING THAT WE DID TAKE ADVANTAGE OF DURING OUR HOME TOUR, WHICH IS USUALLY OUR BIGGEST OF IT, WHICH DID TAKE A PRETTY BIG HIT BECAUSE WE HAD TO TRANSITION INTO A VIRTUAL THIS YEAR, BUT STILL A SUCCESS. AND THEN WE. IT KIND OF A SOMETHING UNIQUE PRIOR TO THAT WAS THE CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGE. SO THAT WAS A SUCCESS. BUT WE'VE GOT SOME EXTRA

[01:00:04]

RESOURCE IS OF GETTING THE WORD OUT THROUGH 10,000 HOUSEHOLDS WITH SOME OTHER AVENUES THAT WE'VE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. SO, AS I MENTIONED WE HAVE A GREAT LOCAL SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING WHO'S HELPING US GET THE WORD OUT AND DOING DIFFERENT THINGS. THE FARMER'S MARKET HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL DURING COVERT AND SO WE CREATED. AN AVENUE SO PEOPLE CAN'T COME OUT. BE SOCIALLY DISTANCE. ALL THE VENDORS AIR. WE'RE IN THEIR MASS, MOST OF ATTENDANTS ARE WEARING MASKS AS WELL. ONE THING WE'RE GONNA CONTINUE TO DO THAT WE WERE ABLE TO STILL DO LAST YEAR, EYES THE FARM TO MARKET DINNER. IT'S BASED OUT WILL PARTNER WITH LOCAL RESTAURANTS, LOCAL CHEFS. WE WERE SO CLOSE TO HAVING A PARTNERSHIP OR WITH. COLLIN COLLEGE COMMUNITY CULINARY PROGRAM. THEY WERE EXCITED. THEY WERE GOING TO PARTICIPATE AT THE LAST MINUTE. WE KIND OF HAD TO HAVE THEM BACK OUT BECAUSE OF THE STUDENTS AND THINGS LIKE THAT. SO WE HOPE TO DO THINGS AGAIN WITH COLLIN COLLEGE IN THE COMMUNITY CULINARY PROGRAM. AND THEN THE CREEK OFF HAD SOME. YOU KNOW ISSUES THIS YEAR, SO WE WANT TO DO A DO OVER. SO THAT'S WHAT WE'RE GONNA BE FART. IT'S ONE OF OUR KIND OF COOL THINGS NOT UP, SHERIFF. EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT WE DO HAVE A LARGEST ICE CREAM CRANK. COLLECTION OVER ON OUR PROPERTY. SO A COUPLE OTHER THINGS HERE IS THE MURDER, MYSTERY DINNER AND WAY BACK WORKSHOPS OR SOME OTHER THINGS WERE GONNA WORK ON. SO I'M HERE FOR ANY QUESTIONS. THANKS FOR YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO HAVE TO SHARE THIS WITH YOU. JUST A LOT OF GREAT EVENTS. THANK YOU.

NOT DEFINITELY MORE INTENTIONAL, YOU KNOW, YOU TRY TO MAKE EVERYTHING AND YOU REALIZE. I'M DOWNTOWN EVERY DAY. THERE'S SO MUCH GOING ON, WHICH IS AMAZING AND GREAT, BUT.

GREAT JOB FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE IN THE PAST AND WHAT YOU HAVE PLANNED. IT'S A LOT. THAT MEANS A LOT TEST. ON MARKETING SUGGESTION. YOU'VE GOT A GREAT RESOURCE IN THE FARMER'S MARKET.

YOU GOT SO MANY PEOPLE COME THERE EVERY SATURDAY. AS YOU GET, YOU KNOW, WITHIN THE MONTH OR TWO OF EACH OF THESE EVENTS TO REALLY TRY AND FIGURE OUT A WAY TO DO CROSS PROMOTION.

THINK PEOPLE AS THEY COME IN. I MEAN, YOU KNOW, EVEN MORE OF THAT KIND OF OLD FASHIONED MARKETING, I THINK MIGHT BE A LITTLE BIT WAITED. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT AUDIENCE THAT GOT BUILT. THANK YOU. THAT'S A GREAT ADVICE. WE LEVERAGED. IT'S INTERESTING. THE CHESTER SQUARE FACEBOOK PAGES X NUMBER OF YOU. ALL THOSE, IF YOU WILL, IN THE FARMER'S MARKET IS LIKE THREE TIMES THAT SO WE DO LEVERAGE THAT WE FEEL LIKE THE FARMER'S MARKET IS KIND OF OUR JEWEL OVER THERE, AND THEN WE'RE GONNA BE DOING MORE WITH THOSE RESOURCE IS ONE THING WE'RE GONNA DO IS. UTILIZE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL. WE WERE ON THE. WE'VE GOT SOMEBODY WHO'S GONNA BE DOING SOME DIFFERENT PROMOTIONS AROUND THAT KIND OF SPOTLIGHTING THE DIFFERENT FARMERS ON THE VENDORS. SO THAT'LL BE KIND OF UNIQUE TO GET SOME EXTRA EXPOSURE FOR OUR RESOURCE IS OUT THERE. WEDDINGS TOOK A HIT. SO THOSE THOSE KIND OF THINGS TO THAT KIND OF IMPACTED OUR DOLLARS. SO WERE WE COME UP WITH PLANS TO CONTINUE TO KIND OF GET SOME EXPOSURE THERE, TOO. OTHER QUESTIONS. GREAT. THANK YOU. GETTING ONTO ADAM. YOU, 01095

THANK YOU SO MUCH. THAT'S THE EXHIBIT CHANGED AT ALL. OR IT'S THE SAME ONE THAT WAY WERE ONE YEAR INTO OUR 23 YEAR. THE INTEREST HAS BEEN REALLY GREAT IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN COME SEE OUR OUR EXHIBIT.

WHEN WE REOPEN. IT IS OUR MISSION TO PROVIDE FREE EXHIBITS TO THE COMMUNITY. BUT IT'S A REALLY GOOD ONE. SOME GREAT TECHNOLOGY. HANDS ON. YOU KNOW IT Z DIFFICULT WITH COVERT RIGHT NOW, BUT WE'VE SHIFTED. WE'RE DOING OTHER THINGS. YOU KNOW, WE'RE TRYING TO DO ONLINE TOURS, AND WE'VE GOT SOME GREAT THINGS LINED UP. STARTS SO WE'RE EXCITED. TOMO PRESENT LEGACY KEEPERS OF OLDIES, MCKINNEY. THIS IS ACTUALLY KIND OF OUR DEBUT OF THIS CONSORTIUM AND GROUP OF ENTITIES THAT ARE NOW WORKING TOGETHER. SO WHO IS A LEGACY KEEPERS AND WHAT'S THE PURPOSE? WE WILL USE THE STRENGTH OF OUR UNIQUE IDENTITIES IN A COLLECTIVE FRAMEWORK TO DOCUMENT HONOR AND PROMOTE THE HISTORIC LEGACIES OF MCKINNEY'S BLACK AND MEXICAN COMMUNITIES. ENSURING THAT ALL CULTURES ARE NATURAL PART OF THE COMMUNITY'S EXPERIENCES, SO IT'S NOT JUST TO FOCUS JUST ON BLACK IT MAKE A SKIN CULTURES, BUT IT'S TO MAKE SURE THAT THOSE CULTURES ARE INCORPORATED IN ALL THAT IS DONE IN. THE FRAMEWORK IN FABRIC OF THIS COMMUNITY, PARTICULARLY BECAUSE THE FOOTPRINT OF WHAT OLD EAST MCKINNEY LOOKS LIKE IS CHANGING. AND WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE CAPTURED THAT AND PROMOTED THROUGHOUT THE CONTINUED HISTORY OF THIS COMMUNITY. THIS ONE. ALSO JUST SHARE THIS STATEMENT REGARDING HOW WE'RE GOING TO SHOW. OKAY,

[01:10:04]

SO THE BLACK AND MEXICAN CULTURE OF MCKINNEY IS AN UNDER PROMOTED JIM OF THIS COMMUNITY.

GENERALLY EVENTS IN HISTORY OF THE CITY'S MAINSTREAM COMMUNITIES HAVE BEEN PROMOTED FROM A PERSPECTIVE THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE BLACK AND MEXICAN CULTURE. THIS EFFORT WILL SERVE TO ENHANCE AND PROMOTE A MORE COMPREHENSIVE YET UNIQUE HISTORY OF MCKINNEY'S DIVERSE PAST AND PRESENT IN DOING SO THE FOOTPRINT OF THE TOURISM EXPERIENCE WILL BE EXPANDED.

INCLUDING OPPORTUNITIES TO SPEND MORE TIME AND RESOURCE IS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, SO WE BELIEVE IT'S THE GREAT PLUS. SO WHY WERE WE FORMED? WE'RE NOT A FORMAL ENTITY JUST YET. AND SO THAT'S WHY I'M HERE ON BEHALF OF COLORFUL COLLABORATIONS FOR LEGACY KEEPERS OF OLDIES ME, KITTY. WE WERE FORMED SO WE CAN IDENTIFY CURRENT RESOURCE IS SUCH AS WHAT WE ARE ALL KNOW, JUST KIND OF ROLL HIM OFF OUR TONGUES. ROSS CEMETERY IN THE MEXICAN CEMETERY THAT JASON HERNANDEZ HAS DONE SUCH A WONDERFUL JOB AND EVERYTHING FOR US. HOLY FILM SCHOOL, WHICH IS THE FORMER ES DODIE SIGHT ON A LOT OF CHURCHES, HISTORIC CHURCHES WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY.

THE STORY MAPS THANKS TO OUR VERY OWN TANYA PHALLUS. EVEN THE COLLIN COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM WAY KNOW THAT IN THE SPAULDING HAS DONE AN AMAZING JOB ON PULLING TOGETHER. A LOT OF THE. VETERANS THAT ARE LOCATED IN THEIR BURRIED IN RAW CEMETERY. AND SO, WHAT WE'RE DOING TODAY IS WHERE YOU ARE MAKING A REQUEST. WAY HAVE VERY PSYCHOTIC HERE. WHO'S LONG MCKINNEY? FAMILY A SWELL IS CALLING YOU FELLAS HERE. WE'RE MAKING REQUEST ON BEHALF OF LEPROSY KEEPERS TO START OUR FIRST EVENT, WHICH IS GOING TO BE A TOUR OF ROSS CEMETERY DURING BLACK HISTORY MONTH. AND WE'LL START THAT TOUR FOR THE COMMUNITY AND USE THAT AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE THE BLACK CULTURE, AND WE'RE HOPING WE CAN ALSO HAVE THE MEXICAN CEMETERY IN A PLACE WHERE WE CAN TOUR THAT AS WELL WHILE WE'RE THERE. SO WE'LL START THOSE WALKING TOURS AND FEBRUARY, INCLUDING THE VETERANS AND BUFFALO SOLDIER HIGHLIGHTS AND LOTS OF GOOD STORYTELLING AND RE REQUESTING FUNDING OF $2000 TO DO THAT.

WITH TRIFLES FLYERS, SOME PRINT DESIGN AS WELL AS SOME BANNERS. STAYING FOR ANY QUESTIONS. I MEAN THIS. COME IN YOU AND YOUR TEAM AND THE PARTNERSHIPS THAT YOU ARE CREATING. ACROSS MCCANN E. I MEAN, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ABOUT THE COLLABORATIONS. I THINK WHEN YOU PROVIDE INCLUSIVE IT IS SO MUCH MORE IMPACTFUL. SO I THINK THIS IS AN AMAZING. INITIATIVE SO IS THE IS THE LONG TERM GOAL THAT THE ORGANIZATION WILL BE CALLED. OR YOU, LIKE, GET A EFFORT KIND OF YOUR EFFORT IN THE LONG TERM GOAL IS TO HAVE THE. THEY SEE KEEPERS AS THE ACTUAL ORGANIZATION. THAT'S THE NAME. WE'RE GOING BY. RIGHT NOW. A ZOO WE FORMALIZE. IT MAY CHANGE UP JUST A LITTLE BIT. BUT RIGHT NOW, THAT'S WHAT THE GROUP HAS KIND OF VOTED ON. WE'VE WAY VOTED ON OUR PURPOSE. WE VOTED ON SOME NAME OPTIONS AND SO WILL CONTINUE, TONTO FORBID AND MAKE IT MORE FORMALIZED. SO, YES. GREAT JOB WITH ALL OF THE RESEARCH OF ALREADY DONE. THANK YOU SO MUCH. WHERE WILL THE TRAVELED TO BE? WILL THEY BE GIVEN OUT AT. EVENT OR WILL THEY BE PLACED LIKE OUT HERE? WE'D LIKE TO HAVE THEM PLACED THROUGHOUT THE VARIOUS PUBLIC.

ENTITIES ON THE SQUARE. THROUGHOUT. THIS AREA. MCKINNEY AND WEST MCKINNEY WHEREVER WE CAN HAVE THOSE LARGE PLACE AND WE LIKE TO START FROM THE SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN. PIECE STARTING JANUARY 1ST. SO THAT WAY WE CAN AT LEAST GET THE MEDIA PRINT OUT THERE. I WANT TO BE FOUND OUT THE CORRECT INFORMATION, SO THE ROSS CEMETERY IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. ACTUALLY, I MEAN, LIKE. IS IT SKATED? IT IS GATED AND THERE IS A REQUIREMENT TO GET ACCESS TO THE CEMETERY JUST TO PROTECT. THE GROUNDS. YES. SO THIS WOULD BE A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO OPEN IT UP. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE LIKE WHAT WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WE HAD THAT CEMETERY THERE. AND SO LOTS OF FAMILIES. I'M SIX GENERATIONS HERE. AND LOTS OF FAMILY BURIED OUT THERE. AND SO WE KNOW ABOUT IT AND HOLD IT DEARLY, BUT WE WANT TO OPEN UP THIS GYM TO THE TO THE COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS OTHER TOURIST SITES LIKE. DIRTY HIGH SCHOOL FORMER SITE AND SO THEY CAN LEARN ABOUT THE LEGACY OF HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL AND JUST SO MUCH SO MUCH RICH HISTORY.

YOU HAVE AN ACT? I MEAN, YOU JUST MENTIONED THE SCHOOLS I WAS THINKING, DO YOU HAVE

[01:15:02]

ACTIVE PARTICIPA ANTICIPATION OR PLANS TO GET COORDINATION WITH THE SCHOOL SYSTEM WITH ALL THE DIFFERENT YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS, ABSOLUTELY, GIRLS CLUB ABSOLUTELY.

ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY. AND ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE'RE GOING TO DO IS INCORPORATE THE YOUTH AND GATHERING THE HISTORY SO WE'RE ACTUALLY LOOKING TOE. CHECK WITH CITY MAYOR, UH, ABOUT STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR THE SUMMER. SO THAT WAY THE STUDENTS CAN HELP PARTICIPATE AND NOT JUST. GATHER INFORMATION BUT LEARNED TO BE A PART OF CREATING THAT HISTORY AS WELL. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW THAT DEBRA SUGGESTED A STRATEGIC INITIATIVE FOR OUR BOARD TO TRY AND LOOK FOR THINGS TO SUPPORT DIFFERENT YOUTH OR YOUTH ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE CITY THAT WERE SPECIFICALLY MORE CULTURAL AND. IN ORIENTATION, NOT NECESSARILY SPORTS RELATED. WE ALL JUST LOVED THAT ONE ON DE SO WE'RE ALL REALLY BEHIND THAT. SO JUST TAKE REASON. BRING IT UP IS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT OPPORTUNITY. AND COME BACK EVERY MONTH. TYPE THING, E. NO, YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO COME EVERY MONTH, OKAY? YEAH.

IT'S HARD SOMETIMES FOR US TO BE PROACTIVE. SO WHEN WE SEE A KNOPPER TO NITTY TO T O REACT AND SUPPORT PEOPLE DOING SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN THE COMMUNITY I JUST WANT TO SPEAK UP AND SAY WHAT WORK. I'M KEITH. THANK YOU. YEAH, I'M JUST THRILLED THAT THIS COLLABORATION EFFORT IS COMING TOGETHER SO NICELY TO BE ABLE TO LEVERAGE. GROUP RESOURCE IS ON. GO TO WORK TOGETHER, WILL HOPEFULLY PROVIDE SOME ADDED IMPACT TO THE THINGS THAT YOU'RE DOING, SO I'M JUST THRILLED TO HEAR ABOUT ALL OF THIS. ABSOLUTELY THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH AND. AS OTHERS HAVE SHARED. MERRY CHRISTMAS. HAPPY KONICA. HAPPY KWANZA! HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND GOD BLESS. THANK YOU HAVE ACTUALLY ONE MORE THING. NO, JUST JUSTICE SUGGESTED YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT GETTING THE YOUTH INVOLVED IN COLLECTING THE HISTORY. ONE OTHER THING TO CONSIDER IS OUR IS COLLIN COLLEGE. WE DO A LOT OF SERVICE LEARNING PROJECTS THROUGH OUR INDIVIDUAL COURSES, ESPECIALLY OUR HISTORY COURSES, AND THEY'RE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ORGANIZATIONS TO PARTNER WITH. OUR STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES. AND SO THIS COULD BE A GREAT WAY. WHETHER THERE ARE 5 30 KAPPA HONOR SOCIETY THROUGH THEIR HONORS PROGRAMS THAT THEY DO. OR SOME OF OUR SERVICE, LEARNING IT COULD BE A GREAT WAY TO PARTNER WITH OUR COLLEGE STUDENTS AND LET THEM DO SOME OF THAT RESEARCH TO YOU COULD GET A FEW FROM THAT. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. 1201097 CONSIDER DISCUSS PROMOTIONAL COMMUNITY EVENT GRANT

[Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by McKinney Garden Club (PC 21-06) in the Amount of $7,700 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2021 Art Meets Floral Event.]

APPLICATIONS OF ANYBODY. MCKINNEY GARDEN CLUB PC 21 ACTUALLY ROSE SIX AND THE AMOUNT OF $7700 FOR THE ADVERTISING. MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE 23 1. ART MEETS QUARREL EITHER. GOOD MORNING. WELL, CAN'T WE'LL COME UP WITH THE MCKAY GARDEN CLUB HERE? AM I RESPONSIBLE? I'M SORRY. IT'S MY FIRST TIME TO PRESENT TO YOU MY RESPONSIBLE TO CHANGE THE SLIDES. UH SO I'M JUST GONNA HIT FORWARD OR BACK. CORRECT. THANK YOU FOR THAT INFORMATION. I'M SORRY. WELL, I WAS JUST I'LL INTRODUCE MYSELF OVER WAITING. NO, NO, NO, IT'S TOTALLY FINE. I'M GAIL POND. I'M THE PRESIDENT ELECT OF THE MCKINNEY GOING CLUB. AND WE HAVE BEEN IN COLLABORATION WITH THE HEARD CRAIG'S DINNER. FOR THE ARTS IN. TRYING TO PROMOTE MORE OF THE ACTIVITIES THAT THEY HAVE GOING ON. WE'VE HAD A LOT OF SUCCESS IN THE PAST WITH OUR HOME AND GARDEN TOUR, AND THEY THOUGHT WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP THEM WITH THIS EVENT AS WELL. SO WE'RE EXCITED. FOR THAT PARTNERSHIP. OUR PRESIDENT THIS YEAR IS JOYCE MARTEL.

SHE'S HERE WITH ME ANYWAY. SEE IF I CAN GET MY SIMPLE TOGETHER HERE. NO. THANK YOU. I'M TAKING UP MOST OF MY TIME. OH, YEAH. STARTED. YOU'RE VERY KIND. ALL RIGHT. WE'RE ASKING 7700 FOR MARKETING MATERIALS. THIS IS 100% OF OUR. THE BUDGET FOR MARKETING ANY PUBLICATIONS THAT WE'RE TRYING TO PROVIDE. IT'S HELD IN HISTORIC HER, CRAIG. HOUSE AND WE'RE WAITING TILL SEPTEMBER TO DO THIS EVENT JUST SO THAT WE CAN MAKE SURE THAT IT. WE CAN HOPEFULLY PULL IT OFF WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE. IF YOU'RE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE EVENT, IT IS VERY UNIQUE IDEA OF TAKING FINE ART OF LOCAL ARTISTS AND FINDING FLORIST THAT WILL. DEPICT THAT ART IN

[01:20:08]

THEIR FLORAL DESIGN, WHICH IS REALLY A VERY UNIQUE AND INTERESTING IDEA, AND IT'S BEEN A REALLY GREAT. THING FOR THE CITY VERY UNIQUE AND VERY CULTURAL PUS FAR AS ART AND. SO THIS IS JUST SOME OF THE IDEAS OF WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IN THE PAST IS OUR OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS EVENT WITH THEM SO ARE COMING IN IS MOSTLY. IN THE AREA OF PUBLICITY AND MARKETING AND TRYING TO HELP THEM GET A BIGGER AMOUNT OF PEOPLE TO THE EVENT. MM. WE'RE ALSO PARTNERING WITH HUGS GREENHOUSE. WE'RE DOING THIS KIND OF TRIFECTA. THE MCKINNEY GARDEN CLUB, HER CREEK CENTER AND HUGS CAFE AND THEA EFFORT TO BEAUTIFY THE HERD. CRAIG LANDSCAPE. AND TO USE HUGS GREENHOUSE IN THAT EFFORT, AND MCKINNEY GARDEN CLUB IS FUNDING THOSE EVENTS. SO. HERE'S SOME OTHER. THESE ARE SOME OF THE WINNERS IN THE PAST. WHAT THREE YEARS? THAT WAS MCKINNEY. EDWARD FLORALS, LORDS, CORAL AND THEN ONE YEAR IN SOMEONE FROM RICHARD'S AND ONE, SO IT'S A PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD. AND THEY GET FREE ADVERTISING.

WHOEVER WINS GETS FREE ADVERTISING THROUGH HER CRAIG FOR THE YEAR, SO IT'S KIND OF FEELING. UM. AS I SAID, THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE MCKINNEY'S UNIQUE BY NATURE.

LOGA SLOGAN, AND WE ALSO WAS VERY INTERESTING THAT THIS EVENT WAS COPIED IN FRISCO. UH BECAUSE THEY HAD SEEN THIS EVENT IN THE KIDNEY, SO THAT'S KIND OF A GREAT THING. AND WHAT THE MCKINNEY GARDEN CLUB REALLY WOULD LIKE TO DO. IS, UH REALLY? MAKE THIS EVENT MORE MORE PROMINENT, YOU KNOW, TO GET TO GET MORE PEOPLE THERE TO GET THEM TO THE HER CRAIG CENTER TO THE DOWNTOWN AREA, AND I THINK IN THE PAST BECAUSE WE'VE HAD A LOT OF SUCCESS WITH OUR HOME AND GARDEN TOUR IN DOING THAT WE CAN HELP. IN THIS EFFORT. UM, AND THAT'S BASICALLY IT. THANKS FOR YOUR FEW MINUTES THAT I GOT. I DID WANT TO SHOW YOU ONE OF THE POSTERS THAT WE DIDN'T GET ON THE POWER POINT. A BEAUTIFUL ADVERTISING. THAT WE'VE DONE IN THE PAST. SO GRAND FOR QUESTIONS. AS BEST I CAN, JIM GUTHRIE STAINING ON THE POSTER AND BEGINNING. I'M SORRY. I WAS JUST WONDERED IF THE PAINTING WAS KIM GOT THREE. IT LOOKS LIKE HER STUFF. YOU KNOW? I DON'T KNOW. THESE ARE ALL THIS IS OUR FIRST YEAR, TONTO. BE A PART OF THIS. YES, IT IS. WOW. IT IS INSURANCE. YES, THERE'S A LOT OF LOCAL ARTISTS. IT IS FINE ART, AND THERE'S NO PROBLEMS. REALLY THAT I CAN FORSEE WITH A COVE IT IF YOU HAVE IT LAST TILL SEPTEMBER BECAUSE THIS IS JUST AN EVENT THAT'S OPEN. FOR TWO DAYS, AND IT'S VERY LIMITED THAN THE KINDERGARTEN CLUB WOULD DOSE AND THE EVENTS AND MONITOR HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN THIS BASIC THAT WAS NEEDED. ANYWAY THAT THIS IS THAT THE SAME WEEKEND? IT'S OCTOBERFEST THAT'S OFTEN AROUND. THEN WE CHECKED THE CALENDAR BEFORE WE SET THAT DATE. SO I'M I'M NOT FAMILIAR WHEN OCTOBER FEST IS, BUT I WOULD I WOULD THINK THAT WE AVOIDED THAT. WE CAN DOUBLE CHECK WHICH I WILL DO. AND, UM DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE ATTENDANCE WOZ FOR THIS EVENT? WHAT IT'S BEEN IN THE PAST NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO COME TO SEE THE ART FLORAL? YEAH, OVER THE YEARS. THERE HAVE BEEN THEY'VE STARTED WITH A LARGER AMOUNT OF DAYS TO DO IT AND REALIZE THAT THAT WAS NOT VERY EFFECTIVE BECAUSE FLORAL DESIGNS STARTED TO HIT DETERIORATE. SO THEY HAVE SHORTENED IT AS THE YEARS HAVE GONE BY. GREAT. YEAH EXACTLY ON LEE. WHERE'S OF ITS FLOWERS, BUT THEY HAVE. MADE IT DOWN TO TWO DAYS. SO WHAT SHE TOLD ME WAS THIS IS ABOUT 100 PER DAY. S O. AND YOU KNOW THE GENERAL SENSE THAT'S KIND OF WHAT THEY HAVE LOOKED AT, SO IT'S OUR INTENTION OF USING AS THEY MAKE ANY GARDEN CLUB BECAUSE, OF COURSE WE LEFT WORLD DESIGNED TO TAKE. SOME OF THE PUBLICITY THAT THEY'VE USED IN THE PAST AND BEEF IT UP A LITTLE BIT AND USE DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS AS TICKET VENDORS, WHICH WE HAVE ALWAYS DONE EVERY YEAR. AND UH, YOU KNOW, SEE IF WE CAN GET MORE PEOPLE MORE INTEREST IN THE EVENT. S O THAT WE GET MORE PEOPLE INTO THE TOWN. AND YOU KNOW, THESE ARTISTS CAN SHOW

[01:25:01]

WHAT THEY COULD DO, WHETHER THEY BE PAINTERS OR FLORAL DESIGNERS. AND WILL THERE BE ANY KIND OF INTERACTIVE OR THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON LIVE OR IS THE ART INSTALLED? A FLORAL WORK IS INSTALLED, AND IT'S KIND OF AN EXHIBITION. IT IS AN EXHIBITION EXACTLY, AND WE'LL HAVE DOUGH SINCE THERE AS I SAID FROM THE MCKINNEY GARDEN CLUB, THAT IF THEIR QUESTIONS YOU KNOW WE SHOULD BE PRIVY TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE ARTISTS ARE IN ANY QUESTIONS THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE SO WE COULD GIVE THEM MORE INF IT IS THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD. SO THE PEOPLE THAT VISIT AND SEE THE EXHIBIT, THEN GET TO VOTE ON THEIR FAVORITE SO. HAVE A COMMENT AND THEN A QUESTION. I THINK FOR CINDY FIRST, I THINK LIKE RICK THAT IT PROBABLY IS THE SAME WEEKEND AS OCTOBERFEST. I'M NOT SURE THAT THAT'S A PROBLEM, THOUGH. GIVEN YOUR PROXIMITY. RIGHT MIGHT BE A, UH I THINK IT MIGHT ACTUALLY BE A GOOD SYNERGY AND YOU'LL GET PEOPLE WALKING RIGHT BY IT BECAUSE THEY'RE PARKING. CHURCH STREET S SO IT MAY NOT BE A BAD THING. MY QUESTION FOR CINDY IS WHEN DO WE DO? THE NEXT ROUND OF. RUNS FOR PROMOTION IN MAY.

11 PAPERS. MY QUESTION IS, IF IT'S MAYBE MORE APPROPRIATE THAT THIS GO IN THE SECOND ROUND, GIVEN THAT IT'S CLOSER TO THE EVENT DATE. WE'RE NOT OVER SUBSCRIBED FOR THIS ROUND, SO IT'S NOT A HUGE DEAL, BUT. SHOULD BE. MAYBE THINK ABOUT HAVING THEM REAPPLY AND MAY BORN ACTION WOULDN'T TAKE PLACE UNTIL JULY, SO IT LIMITS THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO AMOUNT. ACTUALLY, WHEN I BROUGHT UP OCTOBER? YES I WAS THINKING OF IT AS AN OPPORTUNITY ON I'M KIND OF A BROKEN RECORD UP HERE ON THIS, BUT I JUST KEEP SAYING IT REALLY, REALLY, REALLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANYTHING THAT MEANS STREET IS DOING IN AND AROUND THAT TIME AND NOT ONLY THAT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MAIN STREET AND THE ARTS COMMUNITY THAT THE DEVELOPING IN APRIL. WITH THE ARTS AND BLOOM EVENT TO SORT OF BE PART OF THAT TEAM, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN AND USE THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWING TO PREVENT. AMY AND ANDREW SO WILLING ON THEIR WHOLE TEAM. THEY'RE SO WILLING TO CROSS PROMOTE AND USE A VERY, VERY LARGE FACEBOOK FOLLOWING X'S FREE ADVERTISING. AND YOU PROBABLY KNOW THAT ALREADY, BUT I WOULD JUST YOU WRITE IN THERE AND. YOU GOTTA ASK. YEAH. NO, YOU CAN GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION.

ANY SUGGESTIONS? I'M TOTALLY UP FROM THIS IS OUR FIRST ENDEAVOR AND IN THIS PARTICULAR WAY, SO IF OCTOBERFEST IS THAT WEEKEND, I MEAN. PEOPLE GONNA BE LOOKING FOR STUFF TO DO WHILE THEY'RE WAITING FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF FOR BEER, SO. HOPEFULLY THAT IT COULD BE THAT KIND OF AN EVENT.

BUT SO. RIGHT, AND I'M GOING. I THINK IT'S A REALLY COOL IDEA. IT IS A REALLY FUN IDEA. AND KAREN TO PANIC WANTED TO BE HERE TODAY, BUT SHE WOKE UP WITH A HEAD COLD, SO DECIDED THAT THAT PROBABLY WASN'T THE BEST IDEA TO COME, SO SHE WANTED TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS THAT I MIGHT NOT HAVE. THE INFORMATION BUT ANYTHING ELSE? THANK YOU. YOU LAST CALL IN COLLEGE, TOO. OKAY? YEAH. ABSOLUTELY. GREAT IDEAS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME. WE APPRECIATE IT. [Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by Ovation Academy of Performing Arts (PC 21-07) in the Amount of $11,500 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of 2021 Spring/Summer Productions.]

GRANT APPLICATION SUMMIT ABOUT OVATION ACADEMY OF. WARMING ARTS PC 21 ACTUALLY ROSE SEVEN IN THE AMOUNT OF 11,500 FOR THE ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION. NUMBER SPRING PRODUCTIONS. GOOD MORNING. I'M ANGIE BURNS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR OVATION. ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS. THANK YOU ALL FOR HAVING ME HERE TODAY. EVER DO. I PRESS IT TO START. RIGHT RIGHT. OUR GOAL IS TO BRING IN NOT ONLY STUDENT PARTICIPANTS AND NOW ADULT PARTICIPANTS INTO OUR PRODUCTIONS, BUT ALSO AUDIENCES FROM ALL OVER TO ENJOY WHAT WE ARE CREATING THE ART THAT WE'RE CREATING OUR REQUEST. THIS TIME IS FOR 11,500 TO PRODUCE A SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK EVENT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO KICK OFF LAST YEAR AT MITCHELL PARK. WITH COVERT.

WE WENT VIRTUAL. WITH THAT PRODUCTION. WE DO HAVE PLANS TO MAKE THIS AN ANNUAL SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK MCKINNEY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SHAKESPEARE, DALLAS AND OKLAHOMA SHAKESPEAREAN FESTIVAL ON BRINGING OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL. RIGHT NOW, WE ALREADY HAVE FOUR OTHER PERFORMING ARTS COMPANIES WHO ARE WHO ARE WANTING TO PERFORM A SHAKESPEARE AS WELL AS OUR COMPANY WITHIN A FESTIVAL TYPE EVENT. AND THIS ALSO WOULD COVER ALL OF OUR SUMMER PROGRAMMING. THREE MUSIC FOR MUSICALS INTO STAGE PLAYS. IT'S ONLY 50% OF OUR MARKETING BUDGET BECAUSE THE OTHER 50% GOES TOWARDS THE SCHOOL ITSELF WITH OUR CONSERVATORY IN HOME SCHOOL PROGRAMS, IT DOES COVER ABOUT 100% OF THE PRODUCTION MARKETING. AND AS WE'VE GROWN, WE'VE GOTTEN BETTER AT MARKETING AND NOTING HOW TO UTILIZE THOSE RESOURCES AND WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN'T AND OUR SHOWS CONTINUE TO SELL OUT

[01:30:04]

BY GETTING THE WORD OUT THROUGH BILLBOARDS OR ADD IN PROMOTIONS. WE ARE ON THE COVER THIS MONTH OF MCKINNEY AND PROSPER LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE WITH AN ARTICLE IN THERE AS WELL. ALL OF OUR PRODUCTIONS LIKE I SAID, HAVE BEEN SELLING OUT OUR NUMBERS, INCREASING INVOLVEMENT PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM. OUR SCHOOL HAS DOUBLED IN SIZE THIS YEAR, EVEN WITH COUGH, IT S SO WE ARE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT WHEN IT COMES TO MARKETING, AND I THINK THE WATER THAT HAS TO DO WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE M C. D. C S. SO WE DO A LOT OF SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING AS WELL. ANDRE HAVE LARGE BANNERS AND THINGS LIKE THAT. I'M GONNA PLAY A VIDEO FOR YOU GUYS ON.

THAT ONE'S THE RADIO AD YELLING LISTENING TO ME TALK ALREADY. IT'S OKAY.

SURE. ON THE VIDEO. NEED TO BE SLIDESHOW. PUT IT IN PRESENTMENT. CONTROL, PLUS, CLICK TO FOLLOWING. TRY THAT.

IF YOU PUT IT IN PRESENT IN IT. YEAH. THERE WE GO. COMBINES ALL OF THE ART FORMS TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE, AND IT REALLY TEACHES THE INDUSTRY AND NOT JUST THE ARTISTRY. YEAH. E WAS LIKE, OH, MY GOSH, I LOVE THIS. I LOVE FULL OF IT. I WAS LIKE THIS IS WHAT I WANNA DO.

OVATION IS DEFINITELY FOR ME. HOW I LOVE THE ENERGY THAT EVERYBODY GIVES OFF HERE. I'M GONNA BE A BROTHER. GET ME FIRST LEAVE. INNOVATION. I WAS WEDNESDAY MANSION IS LIKE A BIG DEAL, AND IT WAS A VERY STRAIGHT ON AND IT'S PROBABLY MY FAVORITE SHOW THAT I'VE EVER DONE. ONE THING THAT REALLY MADE ME HAPPY. LET'S SEE SO. I REALLY LIKED IT, AND I ENJOYED IT.

I'LL OPEN FOR ANY QUESTIONS. SO IT'S GOOD. THESE AIR OUTDOOR THEY'RE GONNA BE IN MITCHELL PARK. SOME OF THEM KNOW THE ORIGINAL SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK LAST YEAR. THE PLAN WAS THAT MITCHELL PARK WE ACTUALLY IN OUR NEW LOCATION. WE HAVE OUTDOOR SPACE AVAILABLE THAT LAST PRODUCTION THAT YOU SAW THERE OF INTO THE WOODS. WE DID OUTDOORS ON OUR AT OUR NEW LOCATION. BUT WE ARE LOOKING TO UTILIZE OTHER PARKS AS WELL. FOR SOME OF THEM. WE ARE NEXT THREE PRODUCTIONS ALL TAKE PLACE AT THE MCKINNEY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, SO IT JUST KIND OF DEPENDS ON AVAILABILITY OF THE FACILITIES. WE DO HAVE OUR OWN SPACE NOW THAT WE CAN USE, BUT WE ALSO LIKE TO STILL UTILIZE THE RESOURCE IS WITHIN THE CITY.

ARE THE OUTDOOR EVENTS. I'M SORRY. I'M JUST CONFUSED. SOME OF THEM. YES SO IT DEPENDS ON THE SHOW. SO RIGHT NOW WE'RE DOING FROZEN CARRION SIDESHOW AT THE MCKINNEY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. THEN WE'RE DOING DESCENDANTS AT OUR FACILITY OUTSIDE AND THEN SO IT DEPENDS ON THE NATURE OF THE SHOW. SO WE'RE LOOKING THE SUMMER OUR BOARD IS ACTUALLY DECIDING THE LINEUP THIS AT OUR NEXT BOARD MEETING. THAT WE'RE IF WE'RE DOING SHREK AS ONE OF THE YOUNG AUDIENCE SHOWS THAT ONE OF THE JUNIOR SHOWS THAT WOULD BE OUTSIDE, BUT THEN SOME OF THE OTHER SHOWS IF THEY'RE NOT CONDUCIVE TO WORKING IN AN OUTDOOR ATMOSPHERE, WE CAN STILL UTILIZE THE IMPACT BECAUSE IT CAN STILL WITH THE REDUCED SEATING. COVERT IN PLACE. CONSULT 125 SEATS ON WE CAN PUT ALL THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE. SO IT

[01:35:04]

DEPENDS ON THE PRODUCTION. SO WE'VE GOT SOME VIRTUAL SOME OUTSIDE SOME IN A ACTUAL THEATER SPACE WE HAVE STARTING IN JANUARY. ABOUT EVERY THREE WEEKS. WE HAVE A PRODUCTION GOING UP THROUGH JUNE RIGHT NOW ALREADY ON OUR SCHEDULE, SO UM, THESE ARE FOR THE ONES AFTER THAT. THEN OBVIOUSLY YOU'RE DOING CROSS PROMOTION THROUGH IMPACT FOR WE DO CROSS RATIONS THROUGH IMPACT, BUT WE ALSO DO A LOT OF THE EVENTS S O. WE CROSS PROMOTE A LOT OF THEM MAKE ANY EVENTS. WE PROVIDE THE ELVES FOR SANTA'S VILLAGE. WE SING ONCE A MONTH AT FARMERS MARKET. WAY PROVIDED ENTERTAINMENT FOR TOUR OF HOMES. SO ALL OF THE EVENTS THAT WERE INVOLVED IN WITH THE COMMUNITY WE ALWAYS CROSS PROMOTE ON ALL OF OUR MARKETING, AND THEN WE HAVE OUR PROMOTION OUT THERE AS WELL WITH OUR BANNERS AND FLYERS AND BROCHURES AND THINGS LIKE THAT. SAID. YOUR NEW VENUE DOES NOT HAVE A SPACE FOR PERFORMANCE. IT DOES. IT HAS A PERFORMING ARTS SPACE. IT SEATS ABOUT 65 WITHOUT COVERT PRECAUTIONS, BUT WITH COVERT PRECAUTIONS. IT'S ONLY ABOUT 30. SO WE'RE ONLY UTILIZING THAT RIGHT NOW FOR VIRTUAL PRODUCTIONS, SO LORD OF THE FLIES MAD ONES, FRECKLE FACE STRAWBERRY. WE HAVE SOME SOME THAT WERE DOING IN THAT SPACE, BUT WE'RE VIDEOING AND STREAMING THEM LIVE. UNTIL WE CAN ACTUALLY UTILIZE THE SPACE SAFELY. SO WE'RE USING OUR OUTDOOR SPACE FOR OTHER PRODUCTIONS RIGHT NOW. YOU DO HAVE. UNCOVERED PRODUCTIONS THAT 65 SEEDING. YEAH, PROBABLY. THANK YOU SO MUCH. USUALLY OUR EVENT IS HELD DOWNTOWN AT THE IMPACT AND IN THE MIDDLE OF KENTUCKY STREET, AND IN 2019. WE HAD 850 ATTENDEES AND ABOUT 25% OF THEM WERE VISITORS TO THE CITY. LAST YEAR EVENT WAS VIRTUAL, SO WE HAD NO ATTENDEES, BUT OUR 28% OF OUR DONATIONS WERE FROM VISITORS, SO WE ARE REACHING OUTSIDE. THESE PICTURES ARE FROM OUR BULL PICKUP EVENT THAT WE HELD IN AT ST PETERS IN JULY. PERFORMING ARTS CENTER FOR OUR 10TH IN PEOPLE'S MCKINNEY. YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS? UM. SO IN IN THE COVERT ENVIRONMENT. HOW MUCH DID YOU MAKE IN THAT YEAR COMPARED TO THE YEAR BEFORE? ANDRE 2019. WE MADE 82,000. LAST YEAR, WE MADE SIX 78,000 SO. WE HAD AMAZING SPONSORS. UM.

WE HAD ALREADY BEGUN THE RAMP UP TO THE EVENT BECAUSE IN ORDER TO HAVE 1000 HANDMADE BOWLS THAT ALL HAS TO TAKE PLACE AHEAD OF TIME, SO WE ALREADY HAD ALL OF OUR BOWLS IN PLACE. OLIVER OXEN BULLS IN PLACE. WE'D ALREADY BEGAN THE ADVERTISING AND WHEN COVERED, HIT AND WE HAD TO GO VIRTUAL. I OFFERED REFUNDS TO PEOPLE WHO HAD ALREADY BOUGHT A TICKET AND ONLY FOR PEOPLE ASKED FOR REFUNDS. PEOPLE CONTINUE TO BUY TICKETS TO THE EVENT AS A DONATION. OUR DONATIONS WENT UP LAST YEAR. THE SPONSORS WERE GREAT, SO WE'RE REALLY, REALLY BLESSED AND SINCE OUR EVENT EXPENSES. WE'RE SO LOW. UM WE GAVE $61,000 TO COMMUNITY LIFELINE CENTER LAST YEAR, WHICH WAS AWAY WHEN WE NEVER GIVEN HIM SO. WENT WELL, BUT WE'D RATHER HAVE IT IN PERSON. YOU KNOW, IT'S THE SAME QUESTION THAT I HAD TO PAY ME EARLIER, LIKE DID YOU CONSIDER MOVING THE DATE? GIVEN THAT WAY, MAYBE OR HOPING UM BIRTH.

IT'S HARD TO CHANGE. WELL, WE'RE KIND OF IN A CYCLE. WITH THE ARTWORK AND THE ARTIST AND ALL THAT. SO WE'RE HOPING, THOUGH, BY BEING WHERE THE VERY END OF APRIL WE'RE HOPING SOME OF THAT HERD IMMUNITY WILL BE COMING INTO PLACE. WE ALSO HAVE TO WORK WITH IMPACT AND BEING ABLE TO SCHEDULE WITH THEM. BUT WE ARE. WE'RE GONNA FLIP IT UP. WE'RE GONNA PUT ALL THE RESTAURANTS OUTSIDE AND THE BULLS INSIDE. AND WE'RE WORKING WITH IMPACT TO GET WRITE NUMBERS. SO THAT WE CAN HAVE A SAFE EVENT FOR EVERYBODY, SO IT'LL BE SMALLER. BUT HOPEFULLY IN PERSON. WELL, AND I JUST REALLY APPRECIATE THEIR GREAT CLEAN PRESENTATION THAT YOU GAVE REALLY WONDERFUL DETAIL TO THE BREAK OUT OF YOUR BUDGET. DETAILS ON DO YOU'VE DONE A GREAT JOB? LOOKING AT, YOU KNOW, BEING ABLE TO GIVE US THE OVERSIGHT OF WHAT THE IMPACT OF ALL YOUR WORK DOES. SO I WISH EVERYBODY. YOU COULD GIVE A LITTLE MENTORING. PRESENTATION ON HOW TO PUT THESE TOGETHER REALLY NICE IMPACTFUL. CLEAN BUDGET. THANK YOU FOR DOING ALL THAT. THAT'S A LOT OF WORK ON A LOT OF ORGANIZATIONS. I SECOND THAT VERY GOOD JOB. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, I'D SAY GIVING 60,000. OUT OF THAT, TOO, THAT THAT KIND OF PROFIT GIVEN DIRECTLY TO A CHARITY HAS GOT TO BE SOME KIND OF A RECORD. YEAH, IN TERMS OF EFFICIENCY.

SO THANK YOU. SURE, SCOTT THINKS SHE WAS WELL. IS THAT OUR THE BOWL'S GONNA BE AFFECTED BY. THE MAKING OF THE BOWLS IS THAT IS THAT GOING TO BE AN ISSUE? ARE YOU GONNA BE ABLE TO MAKE 1000 BOWLS? TAKE CARE OF IT. WELL. WE'RE TARGETING A MUCH SMALLER, PROBABLY 600. PEOPLE AUDIENCE. WE HAVE BOWLS LEFT OVER FROM LAST YEAR, BUT I'VE ALREADY GOT THE ARTIST WORKING. UM. PART OF OUR ACTIVITIES, BOWL, MAKING WORKSHOPS WITH PEOPLE, AND SO THEY WERE GONNA HAVE FEWER THOSE WITH FEWER PEOPLE AND THEM. SO THE NUMBER OF BULLS WE'RE TRYING TO GET TO THIS YEAR SMALLER. AND WE WILL KEEP IT COVERED SAFE. FEELS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR EVENT OVER THE YEARS. YOU. AM

SORRY SHANE NICKEL, AND WE FOCUSED ON BUILDING AND WRAPPING AROUND ABILITY TO HELP. COMMUNITIES OR BUSINESSES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY TO MARKET AND COOP MARKET AND TO DO MORE FRICTIONLESS MARKETING. SO THAT'S REALLY WHAT WE'VE BEEN FOCUSED FOCUSED ON. THIS IS REALLY A WAY ALSO PRESENTED LAST MONTH TO THE C B B. AND AS PART OF THAT WE BUILT REALLY WELL WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON HIS BUILDING. VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES FROM THE COMMUNITY PERSPECTIVE. S SO THAT BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITIES DOWNTOWN ADRIATIC, YOU KNOW, EVERYONE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY CAN GET THERE EITHER THEIR BUSINESS STORIES COMMUNITY STORY OUT AND THEN ALSO CONNECT THAT DIRECTLY WITH. WITH THE HISTORY OF THE COMMUNITY, AND SO THAT'S WHAT WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON, CVB. WE DID RECEIVE.

GRANT FROM THEM, AND WE'RE WORKING ON THAT. IT'S PROM ARE PRIMARILY FOCUSED ON GETTING THE STORY'S KIND OF THE CONTENT OF HOTELS AND ADDING THAT TO THE COMMUNITY AS WELL. ONDAS PART OF THIS GRAND. WHAT WE REALLY WANT TO DO IS WRAP THAT AROUND FIVE EVENTS NEXT YEAR AND EACH ONE OF THOSE VENTS. WHAT WE ANTICIPATE DOING THIS PAIRING WITH THE PHYSICAL EVENTS WE LOVE TO WORK WITH. SOME OF THE OTHER PARTICIPANTS ARE THE APPLICANTS THAT TALK TODAY, TOO. KIND OF WRAPPED AROUND WHAT THEY'RE DOING YOU PRIOR AND BEFORE TO CONNECT THE COMMUNITY AND REALLY HAVE MORE OF A COMMUNITY DRIVEN WAY WHERE PEOPLE SEE WHAT'S GOING ON. SO, FOR INSTANCE, IF THERE'S A BEER WALK OR TH YOU KNOW, THE. ARTS IN BLOOM. PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY VISITORS CAN COME AND SEE WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON IN THE COMMUNITY AND THAT THEY CAN'T FIND THAT SOMETIMES IT'S HARD TO FIND THAT INFORMATION. WE WANT THAT TO BE FOREFRONT.

OUR MARKETING IN OUR ADVERTISING. AND THAT'S REALLY WHAT WE WANT TO FOCUS ON REALLY IS HAVING YOU KNOW EACH VENUE, FOR INSTANCE, FOR A SPECIFIC EVENT TO BE ABLE TO TELL HER STORY AND HAVE THAT FOREFRONT IN OUR MARKETING AND THEN, OF COURSE, THEN THEN BE ABLE TO PROMOTE CROSS PROMOTE OR COOP MARKET AS WELL. BUSINESS TO TELL THEIR STORIES. ALSO THE CVI BE THIS. YOU KNOW THE M C, D. C. THE CITY ALL THOSE DIFFERENT PLAYERS THAT MAKE OUR COMMUNITY FANTASTIC. THEY CAN TELL THEIR STORIES, AND THAT COULD BE REALLY FOREFRONT IN OUR MARKETING AS WELL. THEN, OF COURSE, WRAPPED IT AROUND THAT WENT WELL, TOO FAST WRAP THAT AROUND AUGMENTED REALITY EXPERIENCES. OBVIOUSLY, THAT COULD BE, UM. A LOT OF THINGS THAT SOME OF THE FUN THINGS YOU SEE THERE. WE'VE DONE A LITTLE FUN ONES KIND OF GET PEOPLE TO COME DOWN AND BE HIM. WE'VE WORKED WITH WITH AMY DOWNTOWN AS WELL TO BUILD A LITTLE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS EXPERIENCE. TO WRAP ALL THAT TOGETHER. UM THAT'S REALLY WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON. I'LL SEND FOR QUESTIONS. YOU MENTIONED YOU A PLOT WITH CB WITH VISITORS.

BILL. HOW MUCH DID YOU REQUEST FROM? I'M SORRY. YOU SAY YOU HAD APPLIED WITH THE VISITORS BUREAU. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU REQUESTED FROM THEM? WE REQUESTED 15. WE RECEIVED FIVE.

DO WAS HERE. LAST SLIDE TO THAT. SORRY THERE. YES, THERE'S SOMETHING I REALLY WANT TO SEE THE EXAMPLES. I'M STILL TRYING TO SHARE THAT CHUCK HERE, NOT A PROBLEM. WAY DID A LITTLE VIRTUAL DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE ON BEER TIME THAT WITH HOTELS AND THEN WE'RE ALSO WE DID YOU KNOW SOME PLACE TO VISIT THE LIGHTS. WE TIED THAT WITH SOME OF THE HISTORY AS WELL, DOWNTOWN. WE WANT TO DO MORE OF THAT. I'M GOING INTO 2021. ARE THE EVENTS. NEXT YEAR. ARE THEY NOTIONAL AT THIS POINT? ARE THEY SPECIFIC? DO YOU HAVE DATES WE DON'T GET WHAT WE WANT TO DO IS WE WANT TO WORK WITH LIKE SPG. WE WANNA WORK WITH SOME OF THE OTHER APPLICANTS AND KIND OF PAIR THOSE WITH HIM. ON. IN A MONTH AND SO ON, AND YOU'RE ASKING US FOR FUNDING TO PROMOTE WHAT. WHAT THEIR FUNDING IS. WHAT WE WANT TO DO IS WE WANT TO CAPTURE APPROXIMATELY 10 EXPERIENCES EACH FOR EACH EVENT AND HAVE THAT BE KIND OF PART OF OUR MARKETING. ALSO, WE WILL BE DOING ADVERTISING AND SPONSORSHIPS THROUGH THAT. BOND SO THAT YOU KNOW, FOR INSTANCE, LIKE IF, IF YOU DO LIKE A DOWNTOWN LIKE MINE WALK OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, OBVIOUSLY, THOSE THOSE BUSINESSES WILL HAVE OBVIOUSLY YOU KNOW THAT WELL, I DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO COME IN AND OBVIOUSLY TASTE WINE AND THIN YOU WANT TO DO PROMOTION OR KIND OF WELCOME BUDDIES OR WHY THEY WHY THEY'RE DOING BUSINESS AND MCKINNEY AND YOU ALMOST LIKE A SHOWCASE OR SPOTLIGHT FOR EACH ONE OF THOSE BUSINESSES AND

[01:50:03]

THEN ALSO ALLOW WEATHER. BUSINESSES INDICATED IT MAY NOT BE DOWNTOWN OR MAY NOT BE WHERE THAT EVENTS HAPPENING TO BUILD TO TELL THEIR STORIES AND THEIR KIND OF THEIR EXPERIENCE WIRE THERE IN MCKINNEY, WHY DOES IT MATTER TO THE REST OF US? WHY SHOULD PEOPLE COME AND VISIT MCKINNEY? STATE. ARE YOU? YOU'RE A FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION. WE ARE SO HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY? WE'RE GOING THROUGH ADVERTISING. WHAT WE WHAT WE HAVE. WHAT WE WANT TO DO IS TO DO THROUGH OUR PRINTING FOR MAPS AND THINGS LIKE THAT, FOR THE EVENTS WILL SELL ADVERTISING THERE, AND ALSO WITHIN THE EXPERIENCES THEMSELVES. SO YOU'RE BASICALLY LOOKING FOR US TO FUND THE CREATION OF FIVE VIDEO SLASH VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES THAT YOU WOULD THEN SHARE WITH. I WORK WITH FIVE EVENTS TO BE NAMED. WRECKED. AND. AT THESE EVENTS THROUGH YOUR VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES, YOU'LL SELL ADVERTISING. THAT'S HOW YOU MAKE MONEY WITH THE CREATIVE NON PROFITS. THEY WON'T PAY FOR THOSE VIDEOS CORRECT CORRECT WILL WORK DIRECTLY WITH HIM, AND IT'S REALLY TO KIND OF HELP PROMOTE THOSE EVENTS. AND THEN WE'LL ALSO SO OUR OWN ADVERTISING WITHIN THAT. SO WE SHOULD AMY, I'M NOT EVEN IN THE THIS KIND OF QUIT THESE PROMOTIONAL GRANTS OR FOUR. THEY ARE LIMITED TO, UM EXPENSES. IT ACTUALLY OUR ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF AN EVENT OR AN INITIATIVE. RATIONING VIDEOS HAS NOT BEEN SOMETHING THAT WE HAVE LONDON IT'S BEEN MORE FOCUSED ON UM IN ADVERTISING. ADVERTISING AN OUTREACH THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. AND ALL THIS WILL BE WITHIN THAT RIGHT THING. I MEAN, IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT WE HAVE SEEN HER CONSIDERED BEFORE. I'M HAVING A HARD TIME GETTING MY HEAD AROUND EXACTLY. WHAT YOU'RE PROPOSING AS WELL. I WOULD SAY I'M ON THE SUBCOMMITTEE FOR PROMOTIONAL GRANTS, AND I WOULD SAY DEFINITELY ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE CONSIDER MOST IS BODIES COMING TO TOWN. AND, UM.

SPENDING THE SPENDING THAT THEY CREATE WHEN THEY'RE VISITING. ANDRE HOW BIG IS THE IMPACT IN TERMS OF VISITORS? I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS COVERT TIME AND WE HAVE TO PIVOT. WE HAVE TO THINK VIRTUALLY IN A LOT OF RESPECTS, BUT, UM. DOESN'T SEEM AT ALL LIKE. YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY YOU'RE NOT CREATING ANY. TRAFFIC MAYBE YOU'RE MAYBE YOU'RE INCREASING TRAFFIC FOR SOME OF THOSE EVENT INCREASE. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I JUST HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING GETTING MY HEAD AROUND. HOW THAT JIBES WITH THE INTENT OF THE PROMOTIONAL GRANTS AS WELL. THEY'RE LIKE A PARTNER. THAT SUPER CHARGES FIVE OTHER EVENTS. YEAH, YEAH, AT AND TALK A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT WHAT THE BENEFITS WOULD BE TO THE NOT FOR PROFITS THAT YOU WOULD BE FEATURING IN THESE VIDEOS AND HOW THAT WOULD BENEFIT ANY OF THEIR EVERT. SURE I SEE 22 HUGE BENEFITS. ONE IS FOR THOSE THAT MAY NOT WANT TO VISIT MCKINNEY OR THEY'RE LIKE, YOU KNOW, MAYBE THEY'RE A LITTLE STANDOFFISH AS FAR AS COVERT. OBVIOUSLY, THAT MAY CHANGE HOPEFULLY AND YOU KNOW, AS WE GO INTO 2021. BILL JUST KIND OF SEE WHAT THOSE EVENTS ARE. SEE WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON? MAYBE THEY DON'T WANT TO COME FOR THE ONE WALK. MAYBE THEY WANT TO COME FOR SOME OF THE OT THAT'S PART OF THAT. AND THEN ALSO, WHAT WAS THE SECOND PARTY? YOUR QUESTION? WELL YOU KNOW, JUST TRYING TOMBO AS AS SOMEBODY WHO'S LOOKING AT. WHO THE BENEFICIARIES OF ALL THESE GRANTS, MAYBE AND WHAT THE OUTCOME WILL BE FOR THE CITY. IN TERMS OF VISITORS, THE BENEFITS OF FEATURING NOT FOR PROFITS OR THEIR EVENTS IN THESE VIDEOS I WOULD PERCEIVE TO BE. I'M SORT OF A VALUE ADD SHOOT THOSE ORGANIZATIONS WHO MAY NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE THEIR OWN BUDGETS TO CREATE VIDEOS S. OH, IT'S A LITTLE DIFFERENT WAY OF LOOKING AT. DELIVERING BENEFITS TO THOSE NOT FOR PROFITS ON BUT IF A FOR PROFIT COMPANY IS HELPING TO FEATURE EVENTS. OR THE WORKS OF NOT FOR PROFITS. IT IS A VALUE ADD, BUT IT'S A LITTLE DIFFERENT WAY OF LOOKING AT THINGS, AND I MAY NOT BE HEARING THIS CORRECTLY. SO THAT'S WHY I'M ASKING. I THINK, YEAH, I THINK YOU'RE SPOT ON. I MEAN, IT REALLY IS A VALUE ADD, AND IT'S K TO KIND OT CONTINUITY OF THE EVENTS RIGHT? SO IT'S MEANT TO AUGMENT AN EXISTING EVENT THAT MAY BE COMING UP AND THEN ALSO, YOU KNOW, AND I HEARD MANY AFRICANS TALK ABOUT, YOU KNOW, WE WANT TO DO THIS. WE WANT TO CO SPONSOR. WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO IS TO HELP THAT HAPPEN. BUT ALSO BE ABLE TO KIND OF CONNECT THAT WITH THE NEXT EVENT AND THEN BE KIND OF TECHNOLOGY.

GLUE THAT TO CONNECT MANY DIFFERENT EVENTS AND A TIGHT WITH THE HISTORY OF MCKINNEY.

[01:55:02]

WE TALKED ABOUT VIDEOS, BUT IN REALITY, IT'S REALLY JUST CAPTURING THAT CONTENT TO USE FOR MARKETING. SO I MEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CREATED IN SOCIAL MEDIA HAS. SOME TYPE OF CAPTURE ELEMENT. HOW LONG YOU USE? THAT IS REALLY JUST KIND OF WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT.

YOU KNOW, TO USE THAT JUST FOR THAT SPECIFIC EVENT? YES BUT YOU CAN ALSO USE THAT FOR THE NEXT EVENT COMING UP, OR MAYBE EVEN MORE. THE HISTORY ELEMENT OF WAR OF THE. TO THIS BODY OF EXPERIENCES THAT. BRING MORE AND MORE PEOPLE INTO MCKINNEY TO VISIT JUST TO SPEND MONEY AND TO SUPPORT BUSINESSES. BRING TO THE TABLE FOLLOWING BEING LIKE. PART OF IT IS CONTENT CONTENT CREATION THAT SHARE A BOWL AND THAT TRIP COULD STUFF. THE FOLLOWING OR THAT THE AUDIENCE IS STILL THE AUDIENCE THAT THE EVENT HOLDER HAS. YES YOU ALSO HAVE AN AUDIENCE OF YOUR OWN THAT YOU'RE ADDING TO IT. WE'RE BUILDING THAT. OBVIOUSLY IT'S A LOT EASIER TO DO WITH, YOU KNOW, A PHYSICAL EVENT. WE ARE BUILDING THAT. YOU KNOW THAT'S THAT'S THAT'S SOMETHING THAT TAKES TIME. HONESTLY I THINK THAT'S PART OF THAT. THAT'S I THINK THAT ADDS ADDITIONAL BENEFIT. WE TALKED A LOT ABOUT THE HISTORY OF MCKINNEY. AND WHAT MAKES ME KENNY GRADE AND ALL THOSE THINGS ARE FANTASTIC, BUT I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT. UM, TO BRING IN SOME OF THE YOUNGER GENERATIONS OF SOME OF THOSE, YOU KNOW, THE YOUNGER. FOLKS THAT MAY SEE THINGS LITTLE BIT. I WANT TO SEE THINGS A LITTLE DIFFERENT A LITTLE BIT OF A TEASER OF WHAT'S GONNA YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE COMMUNITY. SOMETIMES IT'S HARD TO FIND ALL THE THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON. WE WANT TO KIND OF CHANGE THAT A LITTLE BIT. SO HAVE YOU DONE THIS YET? WITH ANOTHER EVENT WITH YOU? YOU HAVE AN EXAMPLE. LIKE CAN WE GO TO A WEBSITE AND LOOKING SOMETHING? YEAH WAY LITERALLY JUST STARTED IT WHEN WE STARTED THIS ABOUT THREE MONTHS AGO, AT LEAST THE. EVENT SIDE AND THEN WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH AMY WOULDN'T WORK MISSY BB TO CREATE A KIND OF MINI VERSION FOR, YOU KNOW, KIND OF A VIRTUAL HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. SO WE HAVE IT OUT RIGHT NOW. OBVIOUSLY, WE'RE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF TRENDED. YOU KNOW? HAD MORE CONTENT. AND LIKE YOU SAID, FOLLOWERS S O B THAT YOU GO OUT TO THE THING. LET'S SEE YOUR ALFA VIRTUAL HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. SORRY. LET'S SEE.

WHERE DO WE GO FOR THAT? RIGHT? JUST GO TO MUSIC SCHOOL RIGHT HERE. TONTO MCKINNEY, A VIRTUAL TOWN TOURS. CAN I CLICK ON IT HERE FIRST, THEN SOMEBODY CLICK ON IT THAT HAS THAT. AND THEN AT THE BOTTOM. RIGHT BOTTOM LEFT CORNER. YOU CAN SEE THE LITTLE HOLIDAY HOLIDAY HUNT PTT AND CLICK ON THAT BIG RED LOOKING DISC THING. THIS IS WHAT WE DID, WHERE WE WENT, ACTUALLY DID SOME ANIMATIONS. WE DID A LITTLE HOLIDAY SCAVENGER HUNT ON AND THEN WE CAPTURED ALMOST ALL OF DOWNTOWN AS WELL. AND OBVIOUSLY WE CONNECTED THAT WITH A COUPLE BUSINESSES ALREADY. WE'RE EXPANDING THAT AND SEE RIB. IT'S A VIDEO CONSTANT, FULL 3 60 VIDEO CONTENT. AND THEN IF YOU CLICK IN THERE, YOU CAN ALSO SEE SOME OF THE ACTUAL SPONSOR'S. WE'VE ALREADY ARE BASICALLY WALK AROUND DOWNTOWN WITH MY IPHONE, TRENT. THANKS HERE'S SOME OF THE ADVERTISERS KEEP DOWN. SO THE KITTY IS CONTRIBUTING. ALSO A COUPLE OF REAL ESTATE AGENTS BECAUSE SOME OF THE WAYS THAT WE'RE BE COLLECTING. SO HOW DO PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS? BEEN ADVERTISING WITH AMY. WE'VE BEEN ADVERTISING THROUGH FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM ON AMY'S FACEBOOK. WELL, COLD MARCH YOUR HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS AFTER WHATEVER THAT IS. I'M SORRY. WONDERING HOW YOU KNOW, LIKE WE'VE BEEN TRYING GET THAT WORD OUT, RIGHT? WE'VE BEEN MARKETING THROUGH THEM. YOU KNOW, THIS. CBS HELPED BIN.

PROMOTING US WELL ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE. WE'VE BEEN DOING THAT ON BEN, OF COURSE, THROUGH DOWNTOWN AND THROUGH OUR OWN. ADS AND THINGS LIKE THAT GIVEAWAYS FOR HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT FOOTPRINT ON YOUR APP IS FAR USAGE RIGHT NOW. I MEAN, LITERALLY. WE JUST RELEASED THIS LIKE A WEEK AND A HALF AGO. SO ON THIS, UM HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. REALLY WE ONLY GOT ABOUT 400 PEOPLE VISITING THIS THIS LITTLE HOLIDAY ON THROUGH THE SCAVENGER RUNS. LOOK TO THE ACTUAL METRICS FOR EVERYTHING ELSE, BUT WE HAVE THIS. WE'VE DONE EVERY CORNER. HERE WE DONE. DIFFERENT PIECES DOWNTOWN. UM. DIFFERENT CORNERS.

ALSO WE'VE DONE TWO OR THREE OF THE HOTELS AND WE'RE ADDING MORE OF THOSE, AND WE'VE ALSO WE'VE WORKED WITH CHESTON SQUARE WHERE WE DID PART OF THEIR HOLIDAY HOME TOUR. MOST WALK AS WELL. SO WE'RE JUST KIND OF TRYING TO TIE ALL THOSE TOGETHER. COMMUNITY STANDPOINT.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS.

[Conduct a Public Hearing and Consider/Discuss/Act on a Project Grant Application Submitted by Hub Partners, LLC (21-01) in the Amount of Two Million Six Hundred Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($2,600,000.00) for the Development and Construction of The Hub, a Minimum Four-acre Privately-Owned and Maintained, Publicly Accessible, Open Space and Landscaped Area, Including But Not Limited to a Stage with LED Screen, Outdoor Seating, Tables, Umbrellas, Children’s Play Area, Sound System, Seating That Will Include a Minimum of 21,000 sf of Retail/Restaurant Space, a Minimum of 10 Restaurants, and a 35,000 sf Community Center and Public Parking. .]

[02:15:55]

JUST WELL, THAT'S GREAT. WELL, ONE THING'S I DID WANT EXPAND ON LISTENING

[02:15:58]

TO REESE WAS THE THIS IS REALLY CONSIDERED A PARK. IT IS IT IS FREE. THERE'S NEVER AN ENTRANCE

[02:16:03]

FEE. PEOPLE CAN JUST RELAX AND ENJOY THE ENTERTAINMENT. IT IS REALLY ABOUT COMMUNITY

[02:16:12]

ENGAGEMENT FOR THAT OPEN SPACE, AND AZERIS MENTIONED THERE'S. USUALLY IN RETAIL LEASES. YOU PASS ON COSTS TRIPLE NOW. THAT'S NOT THE CASE HERE THAT THAT CAUSES NOT PASSED ON TO THOSE OPERATORS. IT IS REALLY FOR THE COMMUNITY. I'VE GOT WHAT I WAS THINKING. YOUR EXPERIENCE IN FLORIDA IS A VACATION AREA, RIGHT? PEOPLE ARE GOING TO THE FLORIDA PLACE TO GO ON VACATION. SO AT NIGHT, THEY ALL GO OUT ALL THE TIME, RIGHT THERE LOOKING FOR PLACES LIKE THAT. EXPLAIN. HOW THAT RELATES TO WHAT IS ESSENTIALLY A BEDROOM COMMUNITY WITH LOTS OF KIDS AND LOTS OF PARENTS LOOKING. THINGS TO DO WITH THEIR KIDS. BUT EXPLAIN THAT RELATIONSHIP. YES OH, IF YOU IF YOU ASKED TO THE FOUNDER, IF YOU ASK THE FOUNDER STOPS ON THAT HE WOULD TELL YOU, THEY PROBABLY WILL NEVER DO ANOTHER ONE IN A VACATI IT'S A SUCCESSFUL IS DOING GREAT, YOU KNOW, BUT THE SEASON DOES DROP OFF IN A NORMAL YEAR HAS NOT DROPPED OFF THIS YEAR BECAUSE PEOPLE AREN'T COMING BACK. BUT THE REALITY IS OUR WORRY IS THE OPPOSITE OF THAT. WHICH IS WE THINK THERE'S GONNA BE SO SUCCESSFUL OUT HERE. CAN YOU KNOW THE CAPACITY OF IT? BECAUSE IF WE ALL KNOW THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN HERE AGAINST WHOLESOME FUN THAT IT'S FUN, IT'S NOT EXPENSIVE. YOU HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY. IT'S OUTDOOR. IT'S SAFE IF YOU NOTICED THE SITE PLAN IS DESIGNED TO. PARENTS CAN ACTUALLY JUST KEEP AN EYE ON THEIR CHILDREN, AND IT'S NOT OPEN FOR THEM TO GET OUT OF THERE EASILY ON DSA, SO YOU ARE CORRECT THAT IT IS IN A VACATION. THE CURRENT ONE ISN'T A VACATION. THIS PATIENT ON A SECOND HOME DESTINATION. I JUST VACATIONS, BUT IT IS FAIRLY BUSY ON SO WE THINK THAT WILL BE MORE WELL ROUNDED YOU AROUND HERE. NO, HE'S STILL IN A PLAN FOR SEVEN NIGHTS A WEEK. ENTERTAINMENT. YES YES, AND IF YOU'LL NOTICE ON THE ENTERTAINMENT AND GO ONLINE AND YOU'LL SEE HAVE A CALENDAR OF IT WHEN I WENT THERE TO VISIT GOT THERE THURSDAY NIGHT THEY HAD. A COVER BAND ON AND WE'LL LOT AGAIN. A LOT OF PICTURES. A LOT OF PARENTS SOON THEIR KIDS ARE DANCING. FRIDAY NIGHT WAS WHAT THEY CALLED DJ DANCE PARTY WHERE THERE'S A DJ ON STAGE AND ALL THE KIDS GO ON STAGE ON THEY'RE OUT THERE AND IT WAS THINK OF SEEING A LOT OF KIDS OUT HERE. IT'S NOT MANY TIMES I'VE SEEN THAT MANY KIDS OUT THERE DANCING. ON SO IT IS PROGRAMMED EVERY NIGHT AND ACTUALLY WILL BE PROGRAMMED DURING THE DAY WITH THE OTHER THING I WOULD ADD, IS WE DIDN'T REALLY TALK ABOUT THIS TOO MUCH. WE ALL KNOW MOST MIXTURES DEVELOPMENTS NOW TRYING TO ADD SOME KIND OF COMPONENT LIKE THIS, UH, WE'RE ALL COMING TO US FOR FUN. YEAH THE DIFFERENCE AND IT'S REALLY KEY. BECAUSE I'VE SEEN THIS EVERY DAY. I SEE THAT EVERY COMMUNITY. AND YOU KNOW WHETHER YOU GO TO GRAND SCAPE. YOU SEEN IT OUT THERE? THOSE DON'T SEEM TO WORK AS WELL, BECAUSE I'M FIGURE OUT HOW TO INTEGRATE THE ENTERTAINMENT INTO THE USES ON DAZ REESE MENTIONED FIRST AND FOREMOST, THE DEVELOPERS ARE NOT DEVELOPERS THERE ENTERTAIN THEIR ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY.

THEY HAVE AN ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY. AND SO THEY THEY HAD THIS ALREADY BUILT. THEY WOULDN'T CARE ABOUT. YOU KNOW, BUILDING IT, INVESTING THAT THEY JUST COOPERATE IT. THAT'S THEIR PRIMARY FOCUS, WHICH IS REALLY REFRESHING. BECAUSE AS YOU KNOW, WHEN YOU'RE A DEVELOPER, YOU DEVELOP A PROPERTY, GREAT VALUE AND SELLING ON THE CAPITAL MARKET.

THAT WILL NOT BE HAPPENING HERE. YOU NEVER SAY NEVER. BUT THE REALITY IS THEIR INTEREST IS IN OPERATIONS, AND THEY HAVE A COMPANY BASED AROUND THAT HAVE EXPERIENCE AROUND THAT AND THE PEOPLE THAT. KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. SO THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU SEE OUT THERE. BUT ONE OF THE CRITICAL COMPONENTS IS IT'S A BIGGER DEVELOPMENT. AND I THINK NOT SPEAK FOR THE LANDOWNER. BUT THERE'S PLANS TO TALK ABOUT SOME OFFICE USES GREAT AND JOBS AND SOMETHING

[02:20:04]

LIKE THIS IS NEEDED FOR THAT WERE DURING LUNCHTIME. THERE'S QUICK PLACE TO GO GET A BITE TO EAT. TELL. SHE'S SOME ENTERTAINMENT I COULD SEE IN THE MORNING. THEY'RE THEY'RE REVIEWING THE OPTIONS FOR MCKINNEY, BUT YOU HAVE FITNESS CLASSES. YOU HAVE YOGA ON THE FIELD, SO THEY'LL BE MORNING, AFTERNOON AND EVENING THIS AND THAT'S NOT AN EVENING. YOU.

YEAH, I THINK THE. BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS REQUEST, AND THE OTHERS THAT WE GET IS THAT IS THE ACTIVE MANAGEMENT OF THE PROGRAMMING, RIGHT? I THINK THAT'S VERY ATTRACTIVE THAT THESE GUYS CLEARLY KNOW HOW TO DO THIS. THEY KNOW HOW TO BRING PROGRAMMING IN AND KEEP IT GOING. A LOT OF TIMES WE SEE THESE SPACES. IT'S KIND OF PASSIVELY PROGRAMMED. JUST PEOPLE WILL JUST KIND OF MILL ABOUT. THERE'S NOT A LOT GOING ON. MAYBE ON THE WEEKENDS.

THERE'S A BAND OR TWO. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. I REALLY LIKE THE. CONSISTENT COMMITMENT TO REGULAR PROGRAMMING. AND I THINK THAT. WE NEED TO SEE THAT IN MORE OF THESE SPACES THAT EVERYBODY WANTS TO DO. YEAH, DEFINITELY VERY UNIQUE PROJECT AND DIFFERENT. I COULD TELL YOU'RE EVERYBODY'S ASKING. PUT ONE OF THESE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. IT'S HE'S KIND OF OVERWHELMED WITH THAT. IS VERY SPECIFIC TO HIS NEEDS. HE'S LOOKING AT, YOU KNOW THE FAMILY ATMOSPHERE. THAT'S REALLY REALLY, BUT I CAN'T SAY THAT ENOUGH BECAUSE YOU KNOW, SOME PEOPLE HAVE THIS IDEA THAT IT'S JUST GONNA BE A BIG PARTY PLAY. IT IS NOT IT IS. IT'S DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY, MUSIC WILL BE LOUD. IT'S DESIGNED FOR THE DEMOGRAPHIC WITHERS, FAMILIES AND YOUTH, AND IT'S DESIGNED TO INTEGRATE THE COMMUNITY'S NEEDS INTO IT. THE NONPROFITS, THEY WILL HAVE A LOT OF DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES FOR THOSE KIND OF USES. WE DID LEARN JUST FOR THE OTHER BOARD MEMBERS IN THE PREVIOUS MEETINGS THAT. HE DIDN'T RUSH INTO THIS. HE'S HAD THE HELP FOR A WHILE, AND IT'S BEEN A LEARNING CURVE. I THINK, EVEN ON THE OPERATIONS AND THE PROGRAMMING, AND HE'S LEARNED A LOT AND NOW FEELS READY TO GO ON. WAS SOMETHING SIMILAR IN THE BEGINNING, AND HE'S HERE. THAT PLAN. MODEL. IT. YEAH, WITH THIS TIMELINE WOULD JUST BE THE FIRST ONE IN DALLAS. WELL, YOU KNOW, I'M NOT GOING TO STEP OUT OFF THAT BOARD LIKE A NAUTICAL, RECENTLY DEAD. YOU KNOW IT. THIS SIDE IS READY TO GO. FOR THE MOST PART. ANDRE RESIDENTIAL. THAT'S IT IS THERE I WOULD SAY THERE'S NOT MUCH HOLDING THIS UP TO BE POTENTIALLY THE FIRST ONE OPENED. I THINK THAT THE DESIRES THERE TO GET MOVING. I THINK THE PARTNERSHIPS ARE THERE OF THE DESIGN IS THERE IT'S PERFECTED. IT'S JUST A MATTER OF GETTING THROUGH THIS. THERE'S STILL SOME. YOU CAN'T GLOSS OVER TODAY WITH THE CHALLENGES OF COVERT 19 THE FINANCIAL MARKETS OF DRIED UP THEIR RESTAURANTS AND RETAIL.

YOU KNOW, THEY'RE JUST NOT DOING THAT WAS VERY UNIQUE THAT SOMEBODY IS ACTUALLY DOING THIS IN TODAY'S CLIMATE RIGHT NOW, AND HE'S READY TO GO WITH THAT. JUST. OLD CROSS COMMITTEES AND DOTTING THE I'S. A FEW LITTLE DETAILS LEFT. YOU HAD SOME EXPERIENCE WITH GROWING UP IN A WAY. YEAH, BUT HE DOES NOT WANT TO HURRY UP AND WAIT. HE DOESN'T HAVE THAT LUXURY AND IN FACT, IT'S A NEGATIVE IF HE WAITS TOO MUCH BECAUSE HE'S GOT TOO MANY OTHER PROJECTS THAT ARE COULD BE IN THE PIPELINE AND. I THINK I KNOW MY KIDNEY HAS BEEN VERY I GUESS. SAY VERY AGGRESSIVE AND GREAT TO WORK WITH. THE STAFF HAS BEEN WONDERFUL INTERACTIONS HE LOVES.

THAT S SO IT'S REALLY NO HOLD UPS. I THINK IT'S JUST A MATTER OF GETTING IT ALL THAT. TALK TO THE PARKS DEPARTMENT. THEM WHEN WE ASKED ABOUT THE PARKING THERE'S. PLENTY OF PARKING THERE ON THE WEST SIDE, BUT. THINK THE TERMINUS OF ONE OF THE CONNECTED TRAILS IN THE CITY COMES IN. IT'S CLOSE. I THINK IT'S RIGHT OFF ON THE RIGHT. I LOOKED AT THAT BECAUSE I WAS THINKING, YOU KNOW, TALKS WITH THE PARKS DEPARTMENT, NOT JUST IN CONNECTING THE TRAILS TO THAT AREA, BUT ALSO IN. POSSIBILITIES AND PROGRAMMING. WE HAVEN'T GOT IN DEPTH WITH THEM YET, BUT THAT DOESN'T NEED TO HAPPEN. AND WE ALSO PRESENTED TO THE H A WAY THAT WE DIDN'T ASK THEM FOR ANYTHING BECAUSE THERE'S REALLY NOTHING ASKED FOR IT NOW, BUT I TOLD THEM TO CONSIDER WHAT YOUR NEEDS IS. THERE IS A BENEFICIAL TO CONNECT SOME OUT ACROSS THE FLOOD, PLAIN OR THE GREEN SPACE THERE. YOU KNOW, I ALWAYS ENCOURAGE. YOU HAVE TO GET IN THE CAR TO GO AROUND. IT'S BETTER TO. IT'S AN AMENITY. SO IT'S A GREAT POINT AND WE DO NEED TO HAVE THOSE CONVERSATIONS BECAUSE THERE'S OTHER EVENTS I'M THINKING ABOUT LIKE EASTER EGG GUNS. THEY PROGRAMMING FROM THE PARKS AND REC. AND IF I COULD TELL YOU WHAT'S REALLY NEAT ABOUT THIS PROJECT IS THE DEVELOPER IS VERY HUNGRY FOR THAT. THEY WANT

[02:25:03]

TO TALK TO YOU. THEY WANT THOSE IDEAS THAT ONE OF. PARTNER THAT'S WHAT THIS IS ABOUT. IT'S YOU KNOW, THEY'RE NOT GOING TO JUST SAY, AND I'M GONNA HAVE TO GO WITH HIM. PLEAD HEY, WE HAVE THIS EVENT. IT'S LIKE, WHAT CAN WE DO TO MAKE THIS EVENT HAPPEN AND IT'S GOING TO BE THE CONSENSUS ON THEIR SIDE. IT MIGHT JUST ONE LAST COMMENT. I'M EXCITED ABOUT THIS. I THINK IT'S A GREAT PROJECT. IT'S REALLY COOL. I'M HAPPY TO SEE THAT YOU GUYS ARE INTERESTED IN INTEGRATING INTO THE COMMUNITY. YOU KNOW, WE'RE NOT GONNA BE HAVING LATE EVENTS AND STUFF.

WAS IMPRESSED THAT YOU BROUGHT THE STONE BRIDGE GUYS OUT. I THINK THAT CAN BE A TOUGH CROWD. AND SO YOU KNOW, ON THE H AWAY, GEORGE SAYS. GEORGES TOLD ME MR MAYOR HAS TOLD ME THAT THE STONE BRIDGE H AWAY, PRESIDENT SAYS, QUOTE. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED AND THINK IT WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION FROM A KIDNEY. SO YOU GET THE BUY IN FROM THOSE GUYS WHEN YOU'RE RIGHT ON THEIR FRONT DOORSTEP. I THINK. ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT COMMUNITY. INTERACTION OR PROBABLY RESULT. HE SAY. IF MY SITUATIONS YOU'RE GOING UP, BUT WHEN WE APPROACH THEM, IT REALLY WAS NOT WAY WANTED THEIR APPROVAL. BUT WE ALSO WANTED THEIR INPUT, AND I STILL THINK WE DO. YOU KNOW THIS? THIS IS BASED ON STONEBRIDGE RANCH. ALSO THE COMMUNITIES FAMILIES THEY'RE USING THIS, SO IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT TO HAVE THAT OPEN DISCUSSION AND WE OFFERED, YOU KNOW AGAIN. EXCUSE ME. TOM, YOU CAN'T SHE GET NERVOUS HERE THE YOU KNOW WE OFFERED AND ASK THEM. WHAT WHAT ARE YOUR NEEDS? WHAT THINGS? ARE YOU MISSING A STUBBORN GRANTS THAT WE COULD PROGRAM INTO THIS. DID THEY HAVE AN ANSWER TO THAT? THEY GIVE US SOME IDEAS. AND I THINK THAT CONTINUUM FROM COUGHING ANYMORE AND I PUT THIS ON HERE. HMM. YEAH. I'M OUT OF PRACTICE PUBLICLY SPEAKING SO SORRY. MATCH. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. HONEY, THIS IS A PUBLIC HEARING. SO DO I HAVE ANY PUBLIC COMMENTS ON THIS? THINK I'D LIKE TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING IF THERE IS NO COMMENTS, SO MOVED. WE VOTE. JANUARY JANUARY. BEING ONTO 20-11 0 TO CONSIDER IT RIGHT? NO. BETTER DISCUSS ACT ON MY REQUEST FROM THE CITY OF

[Consider/Discuss/Act on a Request from the City of McKinney Housing and Community Development Department for a Second Extension to the Term on the Loan Agreement Executed with McKinney Community Development Corporation for Project 19-09, Effective December 31, 2020 to June 30, 2021.]

MADAM CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD. A REQUEST HAS RESULTED E THINK IT'S ANOTHER SITUATION WHERE COVERT HAS IMPACTED THEIR ABILITY TO MOVE AS QUICKLY AS THEY HAD ANTICIPATED. THEY HAVE. NOW RESUMED ACTIVE REPAIRS FOR THE HOUSES THAT HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED WITH COULD VIOLATIONS. YOU RECALL, IT'S DIRECTED TOWARDS SUPPORT FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES AND MCKINNEY. THEY'VE GOT 63,000 OF 150 THAT WAS APPROVED. ALLOCATED TO PROJECTS IN PROCESS AND WOULD LIKE AN EXTENSION THROUGH JUNE. 21 SO THAT THEY CAN UTILIZE THE REMAINDER OF THE FUNDS. AT THIS BOARD APPROVED. MOVE. WE ACCEPT THAT PROPOSAL. SECOND.

OKAY? THIS TIME. I WANT TO GO AHEAD AND DO OUR EXECUTIVE SESSION
