ALTHOUGH A GREAT DEAL OF THE ADDITION PLANNING TOOK PLACE SEVERAL YEARS AGO, THEY'RE NOW SEEMS TO BE A GREAT VISION THAT ALLOWS FOR COMMUNITY INPUT. AS NOTED IN THE PLAN, THE OVERALL VISION FOR EAST MCKINNEY DRAWS FROM PLANS AND PUBLIC INPUT FROM THE 22 2000 AND FOUR COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. HOW'S THAT AIR STUDY 2006 FOOD 2007 AND THE ONE MCKINNEY 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 2018 TO THE PRESIDENT. FUTURE PROJECTS WILL INCLUDE ADDITIONAL PUBLIC OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT, MOBILITY AND ALIGNMENT. STUDY BEGINNING 2021 MUNICIPAL CITY COMPLEX PLANNING DESIGN FOR GETTING 2021. AND OTHER INITIATIVES AND STUDIES AS APPROVED BY CANCELED PROPOSED 2021. HAVE TO SAY THAT THE FUTURE PROJECTS APPEAR ON THE SURFACE TO BE A MOVE OF INCLUSIVITY. ALLOWING FOR INPUT FROM THE HISTORICAL COMMUNITIES THAT WILL BE AFFECTED BY THIS REVITALIZATION. I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND YOU ALL THAT THERE SHOULD BE SOME CONSIDERATION TO INCLUDE THE HISTORICAL MONIKERS OF LEWISVILLE LIVELY HERE LOW SLOW MOST AND ROCKWELL. BE CALLED. THE MILL DISTRICT JUST DOES NOT REFLECT THE HISTORY OF THESE NEIGHBORHOODS AND SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RETURN TO THEIR ORIGINAL NAMED ORIGINS. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE AREA WILL BE MARKETED AS A GREAT PLACE TO VENTURE OUT IN THE NEWLY REVITALIZED THESE MCKINNEY. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THESE ARE HISTORICAL COMMUNITIES THAT DESERVE TO THRIVE AND ALL ITS NEWNESS. I COULD SEE THE TUB'S COMPLEX BECAUSE THE MILL DISTRICT BUT THE INDIVIDUAL NEIGHBORHOOD SHOULD RETAIN AND EXPOUND ON THEIR ORIGINAL IDENTITIES. DON'T FORGET THE NOTED INTENT IN THE PLAN. VISION FOR A TRANSIT VILLAGE AND URBANIZED STATE HIGHWAY FIVE CORRIDOR IS ANCHORED BY THE RESPECTED HERITAGE AND VITALITY OF THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOODS. THIS ALSO BRINGS US BACK TO THE STATUE. S O. THE LIMITING FACTOR ON THAT IS THE BUILDING RIGHT THERE, ACTUALLY LIMITING THOSE BUILDING POINTS TO TWO STORIES IN TODAY'S MARKETS. SO, AS YOU KNOW, WE HAD A LOT OF EXCITING PROJECTS HAPPENING IN MCKINNEY, PARTICULARLY IN DOWNTOWN ON THE EAST SIDE OF STATE, HIGHWAY FIVE AND THE CITY FOR THE LAST MONTH OR A COUPLE MONTHS ACTUALLY HAS BEEN WORKING ON WHAT WE'RE CALLING A UNIFIED COMMUNICATION AND ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY. KNOWING THERE'S A LOT GOING ON. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE TELLING OUR STORY. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE WE'RE INVOLVING OUR RESIDENTS AND THAT WE'RE OFFERING SORT OF A PORTAL OR A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE COULD GET INFORMATION THAT THEY WANT FOR THE PROJECTS THAT ARE OCCURRING. WE NEED TO MAKE SURE WE'RE INVESTING IN THAT TO SUPPORT RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES, AND ANY DEVELOPMENT THAT OCCURS IN THIS AREA HAS TO BE BALANCED WITH THE EXISTING NEIGHBORHOODS IN TERMS OF USE AND SCALE AND ALSO PREFER. ALSO PRESERVE AND ENHANCE THE VERY, VERY UNIQUE AESTHETIC THAT IS THERE. SO YOU'VE GOT THESE GREAT RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOODS WHICH ARE ONES THAT I CAN YOU DO HAVE THIS VERY INTERESTING AESTHETIC ESTABLISHED BY THINGS LIKE THE FLOUR MILL. THERE'S A COUPLE INITIATIVES THAT AREN'T ON THIS MAP YET AND AREN'T THINGS THAT THE COUNCIL HAS TALKED ABOUT YET, BUT WE DO ANTICIPATE BRINGING INFORMATION TO YOU IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF THIS YEAR. FIRST IS THE NEIGHBORHOOD PRESERVATION STUDY. AS OUR PREVIOUS PERSON MENTIONED, WE DO KNOW THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO PRESERVE THE NEIGHBORHOODS IN THIS AREA. WE'VE BEEN TALKING WITH ROOT POLICY RESEARCH. WHO DID. OUR HOUSING STUDY, AS WELL AS SOME OTHER FOLKS IS RELATED TO WHAT WOULD IT TAKE? WHAT KIND OF SCOPE IS NECESSARY TO TAKE A DEEP DIVE? WORK WITH THE RESIDENTS OF THE AREA, ENGAGE WITH THEM AND DEVELOP A STRATEGY TO ENSURE THAT THE NEIGHBORHOODS ARE PRODUCTIVE, PROTECTED AND PRESERVED AND BALANCED WITH THE GROWTH THAT ULTIMATELY WILL LIKELY OCCUR IN THIS AREA. SO WHAT IS THIS TEAM DOING IN TERMS OF OUTRAGE IN COMMUNICATIONS? ULTIMATELY WE'RE DEVELOPING A UNIFIED COMMUNICATION PLAN AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT PROCESS.
