WHEREAS THE CITY OF MCKINNEY, TEXAS, RECOGNIZES PARKS AND RECREATION PROGRAMS AND FACILITIES ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR COMMUNITY AND COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. WHEREAS PARKS AND RECREATION PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES ARE VITAL TO ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING A HIGH QUALITY OF LIFE AND CONTRIBUTES TO THE ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL WELL BEING OF MCKINNEY AND THE REGION.

THE REQUEST IS TO REZONE SPECIFICALLY TO ALLOW FOR THE INSTANT INSTALLATION OF AN 80.

FT UM, CELLULAR TOWER ON THE NORTHEAST SIDE OF THE SCHOOL PROPERTY. HERE ARE SOME EXHIBITS THAT WOULD BE TIED DOWN AS PART OF THAT ZONING JUST AS A REMINDER, UH, THE PROPOSED CELL TOWER WOULD BE TUCKED AWAY HERE ON THIS SIDE OF THE BUILDING. PER THE REQUEST ME, ALL RIGHT, LOOK THAT UP. FURTHER REQUESTS. THE APPLICANT HOUSE PROPOSED TO PROVIDE SOME ADDITIONAL SCREENING AROUND THE BASE OF THE CELL TOWER THEY HAVE LOCATED IN A PLACE WHERE THEY FEEL IN CONCERT WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT THAT IT IS AN APPROPRIATE LOCATION FOR THE SCHOOL'S CONCERN. AS WE LOOK AT IT FROM A STAFF PERSPECTIVE, IT DOES MEET ALL OF THE DISTANCE REQUIREMENTS THAT WE WOULD TYPICALLY LOOK FOR WHEN CONSIDERING A CELL TOWER. AS SUCH, WE ARE RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST. AGAIN.

THE COUNCIL WOULD BE ABLE LEGALLY TO DENY THAT THE ADVOCATES FROM THE ZONING IN THIS CASE. SO THOSE ARE KIND OF THE SHORT VERSION OF THAT AND WHAT WE CAN'T. WHAT CANNOT BE CONSIDERED AND ARE DENYING THE REQUEST WOULD BE HEALTH OR SAFETY CONCERNS. OR IS THAT ACCURATE? THE YES. FEDERAL LAW. I S D. REGARDING THIS VERY CASE, SO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT THE SCHOOL ITSELF FEEL AS THOUGH THE LOCATION THAT'S PROPOSED. IT'S NOT GOING TO ENCUMBER THE ACTIVITIES THAT THEY HAVE ON SITE. AND SO THEY'RE SUPPORTIVE OF IT. MICRO MICRO QUESTION. MEMORY SERVES ME BECAUSE IT WAS LIKE MAYBE THE TWO MONTHS LIKE FOREVER.

UH, THIS IS A PROSPEROUS SITE. PROSPER PROPERTY. MCKINNEY GETS NOTHING OUT OF THIS DEAL. WELL AGAIN. I THINK THAT THE AFRICAN HAVE ANSWERED THAT WITH IT IS MCKINNEY STUDENTS THAT ARE THERE WHILE IT IS PROSPEROUS CITY, IT'S STILL IN THE CITY OF MCKINNEY PROPER. AND SO THE STUDENTS THAT ARE THEY'RE PROBABLY COME FROM BOTH MCKINNEY AND PROSPER. BUT IN TERMS OF, YOU KNOW, TAXABLE VALUE OR REVENUES, WE WOULDN'T GET THAT ON A SCHOOL SITE ANYWAYS, BECAUSE THEY'RE NON TAXABLE FROM AN A V ADVIL OR, UM. BUT BUT WHAT WOULD THE OTHER SITES THAT WERE CLOSE TO THIS THAT WERE LOOKED AT. WELL, I'M SORRY FOR THE OTHER PROPOSED SITES, SO THE APPLICANT WILL WALK THROUGH THAT THERE WAS A GAS STATION SITE THAT THEY LOOKED AT, AS WELL AS A FIRE STATION SITE HERE IN THE CITY. BUT I GUESS I'LL WAIT FOR THAT. I'LL DEFER THAT TO MR HAUSER, THE CELL TOWER ITSELF. IF IT WERE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, WHETHER OR NOT WE WOULD STILL GET THE A V.
