ATUL AGENTS TO THE STATES. PUBLIC PEOPLE, WHICH. ONE OF THESE IS UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE LIBERTY. RECITING HIS INFORMATION SHARING 21 1088 RECOGNITION OF THE PARKS AND
[Recognition of the Parks & Recreation Team at the Apex Center for Life Saving Efforts]
RECREATION TEAM AT THE APEX CENTER FOR LIFE SAVING EFFORTS, MR KOWALSKI. OR GOOD EVENING. SO WE HAVE A FEW SPEAKERS TONIGHT, BUT WE'LL KEEP IT BRIEF ON TUESDAY. NOVEMBER, 9TH. ABOUT MID MORNING. THE ATTACK CENTER TEAM NOTICED A CITIZEN IN NEED. AND THEY ADDRESS THE SITUATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THEY SAW THE MAN ON THE GROUND UNRESPONSIVE AND ALONE. UM BUT FOR THEIR EFFORTS TO PERFORM CPR AND STABILIZE HIM, THE PERSON COULD HAVE HAD A VERY TERRIBLE OUTCOME ON THE SPOT. NOW WE ALL PRAYED THAT THE GENTLEMAN WOULD SURVIVE. BUT AFTER BEING THE HOSPITAL FEW DAYS FOR A FEW DAYS , THE PERSON DID PASS AWAY, SO IT'S NOT WHAT WE PRAYED FOR.HOWEVER WE MUST REMEMBER THE FAMILY HAD A CHANCE TO BE AT THE HOSPITAL WITH THAT PERSON SAY GOODBYE. AND SO THEY'VE BEEN VERY GRACIOUS TO LET US KNOW HOW MUCH IT MEANT TO HIM. AND SO WE'RE HERE TODAY TO HONOR THE EPIC CENTER TEAM. MR RYAN BONES WILL SAY A FEW WORDS ABOUT WHAT THEY DID EXACTLY. GOOD EVENING TEAM AT THE APEX CENTER AS WELL AS OUR ENTIRE DEPARTMENT IS REALLY COMMITTED TO SAFETY. SO THIS GOES BEYOND JUST MAKING SURE OUR FACILITIES ARE SAFE. WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO REACT TO AN INCIDENT OCCURRED OUR FACILITIES. A PACK OF TEAM MEMBERS PRACTICE OR SAFETY DRILLS ON A ROUTINE BASIS. AQUATICS TEAM IS REQUIRED TO HAVE ONE HOUR OF IN SERVICE TRAINING EACH WEEK. DON'T ATTEND YOUR ALL SCHEDULED SO TAKE IT PRETTY SERIOUSLY. EACH OF OUR FACILITIES HAS ANY AP AN EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN. AND THIS INCIDENT SEAN BAILEY AND STEPHEN HENKE HADN'T DO WITNESS MR RAHMATULLAH OUTSIDE AND RESPONSIVE. THEY APPROACHED HIM FOUND OUT THAT HE WAS UNRESPONSIVE. ALERTED STAFF THROUGH THEIR FACILITY RADIOS ACTIVATED THE AP AND CALLED 911 . SO THE AQUATICS TEAM, WHICH IS THE MEDICAL RESPONSE INSIDE THEIR FACILITY CAME OUT ASSESS THE SITUATION. UM, IT WAS QUICKLY DETERMINED THAT MR REHMATULLAH NEEDED CPR AID WAS ACTIVATED. AT THAT TIME THE M S ARRIVED SO WITH. THE PURPOSE BEHIND OUR TRAINING ALL THE TIME IS TO MAKE SURE OUR STAFF IS READY. AND THAT THEY'RE WILLING AND READY TO RESPOND TO ANY EMERGENCY SITUATION THAT WE HAVE. I'M PROUD OF THIS SITUATION OF THE STAFF THAT REACTED IN THE SITUATION. I UNFORTUNATELY OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO WITH MR ROOM, ATTILA FAMILY. BUT IN THE CENTER OF THIS SITUATION EXTREMELY PROUD OF THE WAY THE STAFF REACTED AND RESPONDED. AT THIS POINT LIKE TO TURN IT OVER TO CHIEF KISSNER AND M S CHIEF CHARLIE SCAG. WELL JUST AS THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND EMS AGENCY THAT WAS RESPONDING, WHICH IS LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS FOR GETTING INVOLVED AND GIVING THAT EXTRA OPPORTUNITY TO SAVE A LIFE. ONLY HAVE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WE OFTEN SPEAK OF. HOW COURAGEOUS IT IS FOR SOMEBODY TO STEP IN AND ACTUALLY TAKE ACTION WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENS AND PUT YOUR TRAINING TO USE, AND WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOU DOING THAT. AND
[00:05:03]
I'D LIKE TO INTRODUCE CHARLIE SKAGGS. WE HAVE A PRESENTATION FOR YOU. NO PRESENTATION. I'LL BE SHORT, BUT I DO WANT TO COMMEND YOU ON HOW AWESOME YOU DID. IT WAS REALLY GOOD FEELING THAT I GOT AN EMAIL FROM MY CREWS THAT RESPONDED WITH Y'ALL . AND THEY WERE TRULY IMPRESSED . THEY WERE THE ONES WHO SENT ME ALL THE INFORMATION OF HOW IMPRESSED THEY WERE OF HOW GOOD OF A JOB THE JOB. DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK OUT THAT WAY. AND IT MEANT A LOT THAT WE HAVE. WE HELD EVERYBODY OF THAT CALIBER OF THE CITY. SO WE APPRECIATE IT. WE HAVE A LITTLE MOMENTUM FOR YOU TO GET TO YOU. AND IF YOU DON'T MIND, WE'LL TAKE A PICTURE. OKAY? SURE YOU CAN. ONE MORE.THEY SAID, WOULD YOU COME UP HERE AND YOUR CREW? WE HAVE A ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY. CITY MCKINNEY PROCLAMATION, WHEREAS LEAD BY EXAMPLE, IS ESTABLISHED DECEMBER 7TH 2020 BY LISA WASHINGTON AS A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF SENIOR RESIDENTS IN MCKINNEY, TEXAS.
