[Financial Report]

21-1119 FINANCIAL REPORT. GOOD MORNING. CHANCE MILLER FINANCIAL COMPLIANCE MANAGER. HAPPY HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON TO YOU ALL AND UPDATE ON FISCAL YEAR, 21. SO OUR AUDITORS ARE HERE DOING FIELDWORK THERE. THEY STARTED TWO WEEKS AGO, AND THEY'LL BE HERE, PROBABLY TO THE WEEK AFTER CHRISTMAS AND. THE WHOLE TIMELINE OF HOW THAT WORKS IS AFTER THEY'VE LEFT THE FIELD WORK. THEY'LL START WORKING ON OUR KFAR AND WE'RE HOPING TO PRESENT THAT TO COUNSEL EARLY FEBRUARY RIGHT NOW IS ALTERNATIVE DATE. WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE FOR YOU ALL AS SOON AS WE FINALIZE OUR PHYSICAL OR 21 NUMBERS WILL COME BACK TO YOU ALL WITH OUR SEPTEMBER FINAL NUMBERS, AND WE'LL SHOW YOU WHAT YOUR FINAL NUMBERS WERE FOR THE WHOLE PHYSICAL YEARS. SO YOU CAN SEE REVENUES, EXPENSES SELL SEX, WHATEVER YOU'D LIKE TO SEE AT THAT POINT. AND FOR TODAY, WE'RE GOING BACK A COUPLE OF MONTHS. WE'RE GOING BACK TO OCTOBER 2021. AND THIS WAS OUR FIRST MONTH OF FISCAL YEAR 22. WE SAW $1.5 MILLION IN REVENUES. WE SAW 100 AND 18,000 OF EXPENSES. AND

[00:05:08]

THAT'S TYPICALLY HOW IT HAPPENS FOR THE FIRST MONTH OF THE FISCAL YEAR AS WE'RE ROLLING OVER OVER POS AND ALL AND STUFF LIKE THAT. UM MOVING OVER TO SALES TAX, THOUGH SO SALES TAX.

FOR OCTOBER. THE SELL SEX WE COLLECTED IN OCTOBER ARE OPTICAL TO THE MONTH OF AUGUST, SO THAT ACTUALLY GOES BACK TO FISCAL YEAR. 21 SO WE SAW A 19.3% INCREASE. ALAN SAW 15% INCREASE . FRISCO SAW 24.8% INCREASE IN PLAINTIFFS ALL 17.8% INCREASE, SO WE LOOK AT THE NUMBERS AND WE SEE IF AUDIT COLLECTIONS PLAYED INTO ANY ACCOUNT OF THAT, IF MAYBE WE RECEIVED CELL STACKS FOR THE FUTURE MONTH THAT SOMEONE PAID EARLY. AND THEY'RE ALL CONSISTENT SO THAT 19.3% INCREASES FAIRLY TRUE. OBVIOUSLY INFLATION IS GOING ON STUFF LIKE THAT SHAPE THE FACTOR THAT IN AS WELL, BUT, UM, OVERALL, THE 19.3% FIGURE IS AND YOU CAN SEE OUR SISTER CITY SAW IT AS WELL.

SO WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE? FOR FISCAL YEAR? 21 SO. RIGHT NOW. OUR BUDGET ARE WE IN THE YEAR WITH OUR BUDGET OF 16.9 MILLION IS WHAT WE EXPECT TO SELL STACKS TO BE AFTER WE REVISED IT. MAYBE IN JULY OR SO. AND RIGHT NOW WE'RE EXPECTING IT TO BE AT 18.3 MILLION IS WHAT TO FINALIZE THAT. SO THAT'S AN EXTRA 1.4 MILLION. THAT'S GOING TO ROLL INTO FUND BALANCE AT THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR. ONCE WE FINALIZE EVERYTHING. AND I WILL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. ARE THERE ANY QUESTION? THANK YOU. THANK YOU. ITEMS 21-1120 BOARD AND THEY REPORT. OH, I'M SORRY.

[Board and Liaison Reports Board Chair City of McKinney Visit McKinney McKinney Economic Development Corporation McKinney Main Street/MPAC McKinney Parks and Recreation]

ANY QUESTIONS ON CHECKS ISSUED FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER. AGAIN REPORT 21-1120 BOARD AND LAYS ON REPORTS. I'LL JUST MAKE JUST A FEW COMMENTS THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS THE UM. LIGHTS MCKINNEY LIGHTS PARADE. IT WAS REALLY AMAZING. UM. INVEST IN THE FAMILIES THAT STILL COME OUT.

THIS IS IMPORTANT TO OUR COMMUNITY. I THINK IT IS A TESTAMENT THAT WE ALL ARE COMING TOGETHER CELEBRATING THE SEASON , ENJOYING WHAT OUR CITY HAS TO OFFER. IT WAS WELL ATTENDED FROM WHAT I COULD SEE, UM AND I JUST WANT TO THANK EVERYONE THAT SUPPORTED EVERYONE THAT HAD FLOWED THE HARD WORK THAT THE ROTARY CLUB PUTS IN TO GIVE US SUCH A GREAT EVENT. THAT BRINGS OUR FAMILY AND OUR COMMUNITY TOGETHER, SO I JUST WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU. DO I HAVE ANY OTHER BORDELAISE ON REPORTS? COMMENTS I ATTENDED THE APEX PREVIEW OF THEIR. NINJA NINJA IS WHAT THEY'RE CALLING IT AND IT WAS PRETTY COOL. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY'VE HAD ANYONE COMPLETE THE HEARTS IDEA THAT THAT DAY WE WORKED, SEVERAL OF THEIR LIFEGUARDS HAD ATTEMPTED, THE MORE DIFFICULT IT HAS NOT MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE END, SO. THAT WILL BE INTRODUCED TO SEE WHO THE FIRST ONE IS TO DO THAT, BUT IT'S OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. DON'T THINK THEY HAVE SIGN UPS IN THE BEGINNING, BUT I THINK YOU JUST GO AND STAND IN LINE. IT'S TIME SO YOU CAN SEE HOW LONG IT TAKES YOU. UM BUT IT'S A REALLY COOL THING THAT THEY HAVE ADDED THAT WE SUPPORT. I WANTED TO MENTION I DON'T KNOW IF WE KNEW WERE AWARE, BUT BILLY HE WAS ONE OF THE HABITAT HOMES THAT WE DID A DEDICATION ON AND WE DID THE DRAFT BY SO HE PASSED AWAY. AND I WAS ABLE TO ATTEND THE HOMEGOING SERVICE AND SPEND TIME WITH THE FAMILY AS WELL. BUT I WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE CELESTE COX. AND MEMBERS OF HER TEAM WHO ATTENDED AS WELL. SO TO SEE HER NOT ONLY WORK IN THE COMMUNITY, BUT THE RELATIONSHIPS THAT SHE HAS FORMED WITH THE FAMILIES IS TO BE COMMENDED. AND ALSO QUICK SHOUT OUT FOR THE HISTORIC HOLIDAY HOME TOURS, WHICH SO MANY OF US ENJOYED AND SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR OWN DAVID KELLEY FOR OPENING HIS HOUSE. THE EVENT WAS. WILDLY SUCCESSFUL AND I THINK THEY HAD OVER 1600 TICKETS, PEOPLE VISITING SO THE WEATHER WAS LOVELY THAT WEEKEND.

I KNOW JAMIE DID A WONDERFUL JOB OF PUTTING TOGETHER HER VOLUNTEER GROUP, AND IT WAS JUST PHENOMENAL TO GO IN THE VARIETY OF HOMES AND. FOR US AS A BOARD TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT TOGETHER.

IT WAS THAT WAS ALSO REALLY SPECIAL AND FUN. SO ENJOYED IT TREMENDOUSLY. IN THE LAST COMMENT I MAKE. I DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE GOT TO SEE KELLY CLARKSON WHERE OUR OWN MAYOR FULLER AND OUR YOUNG. UM LEADER OF MR JACKSON TURNER WERE WELL REPRESENTED ON NATIONAL TV. BUT,

[00:10:08]

LEARNING LEARNING AND CONTINUE TO LEARN ABOUT THIS YOUNG MAN STORY AS A YOUTH, AND I THINK IT IS A TESTAMENT TO THE. THE UPBRINGING IN THE FOUNDATION THAT HIS FAMILY HAS PROVIDED FOR HIM, BUT I THINK IT IS ALSO A LESSON FOR US ALL, EVEN AS ADULTS TO WE CAN MAKE SUCH A DIFFERENCE. IT DOESN'T MATTER YOUR AGE. YOU CAN START OFF SMALL IF YOU HAVE A VISION TO SERVE OTHERS. I'M ALWAYS CONFIDENT THAT GOD WILL GIVE THE TOOLS HE WILL SURROUND YOU WITH THE INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE NEEDED TO HELP OTHERS. SO I WAS JUST ALWAYS ELATED. AND, OF COURSE, TRYING TO SHOW MY CHILDREN LOOK AT THIS YOUNG MAN IS DOING. HE'S NOT ASKING FOR ANYTHING HE'S GIVEN UP. HIS BIRTHDAY GIVES IN MY KEYS IS LIKE GOOD FOR HIM. BUT BUT I JUST THINK IT IS DEFINITELY A TESTAMENT IN THIS SEASON OF GIVING IN THIS SEASON OF WHAT WE'RE STILL IN A SLOW PANDEMIC, IF YOU WILL. THERE ARE STILL SO MANY FAMILIES. THERE ARE IMPACTED WITH LOSS YOU HAVE WE CONTINUED PRAYERS FOR THOSE FAMILIES IN THE KENTUCKY THE STATES THAT WERE RAVISHED BY THE BECAUSE THERE MAY BE PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY THAT MAY HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS THAT ARE THERE.

SO JUST REMEMBER IN THIS SEASON THAT IT IS FOR GIVING, NOT RECEIVING REACH OUT TO INDIVIDUALS THAT MAY HAVE LOST SOMEONE THIS PAST YEAR. THINK ABOUT SOMEONE THAT MAY MAYBE MISSING A FAMILY MEMBER AT THEIR DINNER TABLE ON CHRISTMAS DAY AND JUST BE KIND BE KIND AND BE PATIENT WHEN YOU'RE GOING THROUGH THE STORES WHEN YOU'RE ORDERING FROM THE. DRIVE THRU STORES BE PATIENT BECAUSE I KNOW MAYOR FLOOR FULLER ALSO POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA THAT THERE WAS A BUSINESS AND MCKINNEY THAT THEY'RE HAVING TROUBLE. GETTING INDIVIDUALS TO WORK. YOU KNOW, AND SO THEY MAY BE IN JEOPARDY BECAUSE. IN THE BUILDING THERE. I KNOW MY CHILD NEEDS A JOB, BUT SHE PLAYS VOLLEYBALL. AND I DON'T HAVE TIME WHEN I DON'T HAVE ONE MORE THING TO ADD TO THAT WHEELHOUSE. BUT IF YOU KNOW OF ANY YOUNG ADULT THAT NEEDS A JOB OR SOMETHING. PLEASE CONSIDER SOME OF THESE SMALL BUSINESSES THAT MAY BE LOOKING FOR A HOSTESS OR WAITER. WE HAVE TO KEEP OUR SMALL BUSINESSES GOING. UM THEY ARE THE HEARTBEAT OF MANY OF THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN THE CITY OF MCKINNEY . SO THOSE ARE JUST MY COMMENTS WERE FIVE. WE ALSO ATTENDED THE PARADE OF LIGHTS. BUT NOT ONLY DO WE HAVE THE PARROT LIGHTS GOING ON. WE HAD A GREAT FOOTBALL GAME GOING ON THAT DAY, SO I JUST WANT TO SAY GO NAVY. AND ALSO THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE BOARD MEMBERS THAT WERE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DOWNTOWN WALKABOUTS. THANK YOU. JACKIE DAVID IN DEBORAH FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE WALKABOUT THAT WE DO. DOWNTOWN. AT THIS TIME, WE WILL HAVE THE CITY OF MCKINNEY. MR GRAHAM'S. GOOD MORNING, MADAM CHAIR, MADAM PRESIDENT, MEMBERS OF THE BOARD . MY NAME'S PAUL GRIMES CITY MANAGER. A COUPLE OF ITEMS HERE TO UPDATE YOU ON. YES GO NAVY FOR SURE. I HAVE A FRIEND OF MINE WHO WAS AN ARMY VETERAN.

AND I SAID, I JUST WANT TO HEAR YOU SAY YES. COULD NOT DO IT. HE COULDN'T DO IT, BUT WE'LL WORK WITH HIM. WE'LL WORK WITH HIM AGAIN NEXT YEAR ANYWAY. UM. A COUPLE OF ITEMS NUMBER ONE. THE CONCUR THE HOLIDAY PARADES. TERRIFIC THAT ROTARY ALWAYS DOES A NICE JOB. WE HAVE A LOT OF STAFF. EVEN THOUGH IT'S A ROTARY EVENT. IT'S NOT OFFICIALLY A CITY EVENT. WE HAVE A LOT OF CITY STAFF OUT THERE, ORGANIZING AND GETTING IT PREPARED AND IT REALLY ISN'T ALL HANDS, EFFORT AND GREAT COMMUNITY EVENT. I GOT TO RIDE IN A $1.2 MILLION VEHICLE, THE ONLY ONE I'LL EVER GET RIGHT IN EXCELLENT FIRE LADDER TRUCKS. THERE WAS A LOT OF FUN OF THE FIREFIGHTERS WERE GREAT, VERY GRACIOUS. AND IT WAS WARM IN THAT CAB AS WELL. CHILLY THAT WARM THE CAB SO ANYWAY, UM , A COUPLE OF ITEMS I WANTED TO PREVIEW THAT ARE OF RELEVANCE TO YOU, OR CERTAINLY GERMANE TO SOME OF YOUR DELIBERATIONS. FOR NEXT WEEK, THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR, OR THAT ARE UPCOMING IN THE WORK SESSION. WE'RE GONNA DIRECTOR MIKE KOWSKI IS GOING TO BRIEFED THE COUNCIL UPDATE THEM ON PARKLAND DEDICATION ORDINANCE CHANGES PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS WHETHER THE COUNCIL ULTIMATELY DECIDES TO MOVE FORWARD WITH IT, OR IN WHITE ITERATION THAT WILL BE DETERMINED CERTAINLY THROUGH THEIR DIFFICULT DELIBERATIONS.

BUT. IT IS A THAT'S A BIG DEAL, BECAUSE THAT IS HOW WE SET THE STAGE FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENT AND HOW PARKLAND IS GONNA BE DEDICATED THE AMOUNT OF PARKLAND DEDICATION. ETCETERA WE'VE DONE A LOT OF WORK. WE'VE WORKED WITH SUBJECT MATTER. EXPERTS. UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS A AND M UNIVERSITY AND OTHERS IN ALIGNING OUR MATH IF YOU WILL, MAKING SURE THAT THE METHODOLOGY IS SOUND, SO THOSE THOSE THAT WILL BE AT WORK SESSION NEXT TUESDAY IF YOU FIND IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TUNE IN. ALSO NEXT TUESDAY. WE'RE GOING TO BROACH THE TOPIC. WE'RE GOING TO

[00:15:04]

INTRODUCE THE CITY COUNCIL TO A CONCEPT OF A COMMUNITY LAND TRUST. COMMUNITY LAND TRUST IS REALLY A TOOL. PROBABLY THE SINGLE BIGGEST TOOL WE CAN USE TO START HELPING THE NEIGHBORHOOD PRESERVATION ON THE EAST SIDE AS WE REVITALIZE AND REDEVELOP THAT AREA, BUT ALSO SEE WHY. WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT WORKFORCE HOUSING, AFFORDABLE HOUSING THAT'S A REAL HELPFUL TOOL AND YOU'LL LEARN ABOUT IT MORE NEXT WEEK IF YOU TUNE IN TO THE WORK SESSION. UM. WANTED TO GIVE SPECIAL THANKS WHEN I LOOK BACK AT 2021 MAN, WHAT A YEAR 2021 SO BELIEVE IT OR NOT 2021.

WE ACTUALLY HAD A WE HAD A VACCINE CLINIC. IT SEEMS LIKE THAT WAS FIVE YEARS AGO. THAT REALLY SEEMS A LONG TIME AGO. THAT WAS JUST THIS YEAR. WE KICKED OFF THE YEAR WITH, UH, STARTING A VACCINATION HUB OR FIRE DEPARTMENT LEADERSHIP OF CHIEF KISSNER AND OUR DEDICATED MEN AND WOMEN PUT TOGETHER AND OUR STAFF CITY STAFF AND OF THIS VACCINATION HUB AND WE VACCINATE OVER 50 OR 55,000 PEOPLE. IN THE EARLY DAYS, WHEN THERE WEREN'T ENOUGH VACCINES TO GO AROUND, AND SO THAT WAS A GREAT COLLABORATION COMMUNITY WIDE. UM THEN WE, OF COURSE, PIVOTED FROM THAT INTO A WINTER STORM, OR I SHOULD SAY DURING THAT WE HAD A AN UNBELIEVABLE, RIDICULOUS FRANKLY, WINTER STORM COME THROUGH IN, TURN EVERYTHING UPSIDE DOWN. AND THEN WE CONTINUED, OF COURSE WITH THE VACCINATION HUB, AND THIS YEAR HAS BEEN, YOU KNOW, A YEAR LIKE NO OTHER, PROBABLY BETTER THAN 2020, BUT STILL AN AWFULLY DEMANDING YEAR. WE HAD A LOT OF DISCUSSIONS. AS YOU KNOW, AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISCUSSIONS AND. WE KNOW THE TOPS PROJECT AND SOME OTHERS WHICH ARE VERY, VERY EXCITING, IMPORTANT FOR OUR COMMUNITY, BUT THEY TOOK AN AWFUL LOT OF TIME AND STAFF EFFORT. AND I WANT TO ESPECIALLY THINK, UM, PRESIDENT SCHNABEL.

SHE'S. GREAT COUNCIL TO ME AND OUR EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM. SO ALL OF THE M BOARD. OHH PRESIDENTS. DIRECTORS ARE MEMBERS OF OUR EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM, SO I WANT TO THANK ALL OF THEM PUBLICLY. PETER TOCAR IN THE EIGHTIES. HE GOT TO SEE PETER LAST NIGHT AT THE PARTY HOLIDAY PARTY AND THES GOING TO BE MOVING ON AND DOING OTHER THINGS, BUT I WANT ESPECIALLY CALL OUT DD FOR ALL OF HER LEADERSHIP, HER HARD WORK AND DEDICATION. OPTIMISM POSITIVITY THAT YOU ALWAYS BRINGS. WE'RE GOING TO SEE HER AT WORK, EVEN ALL ALL THROUGH THE DIVISION TWO CHAMPIONSHIP THIS WEEKEND THAT WE'RE GOING TO BE HOSTING, SO WANT TO PUBLICLY THANK DT FOR ALL HER DEDICATION. AND THE COUNCIL AND, UM, UM, CONTRIBUTIONS AND LEADERSHIP THAT THEY ALL EXHIBIT. WITH OUR EVEN IN THE ORGANIZATION'S EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM. SO, UM WITH THAT, UM. I THINK I'LL LET THAT GO. THERE'S A COUPLE OF OTHER ITEMS COMING UP FOR THE YEAR. BUT I'LL DO THAT PREVIEW, PROBABLY IN JANUARY. WE'LL WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE. BUT MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THANK YOU. I'LL STAND FOR ANY QUESTION. JUST A QUICK WIN. MR GRIMES, YOU MENTIONED THE WINTER STORM LAST YEAR. UM ANY SORT OF ADVANCED PREPARATIONS AND WHO KNOWS WHAT THIS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY WARM WEATHER WE'RE HAVING WHAT WE COULD INCUR THIS YEAR. BUT IF YOU HAVE A NEIGHBOR, WHICH I'LL BET YOU DO SOMEWHERE FROM THE MID WEST OR UP NORTH TO PREPARET SAYING THAT I'M SAYING FOR THOSE FOLKS THAT MAYBE ELDERLY IN NURSING HOMES AND THINGS LIKE THAT. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT THE CITY IS DOING SORT OF. KNOWING WHAT WE LEARNED LAST YEAR. UH WE HAVE A LIST. I MEAN, WE HAVE A LIST OF ALL OF OUR ELDERLY AND CONGREGATE LIVING FACILITIES AND THOSE THAT. REALLY STRUGGLED LAST YEAR AND LOST POWER AND HEAT AS A RESULT OF THAT, SO WE KNOW WHERE ALL OF THEM ARE. WE HAD TO KIND OF PUT IT TOGETHER ON THE FLY THIS PAST YEAR, BUT NOW WE HAVE A MUCH BETTER. I THINK ACCOUNTING OF THOSE FOLKS THAT VULNERABLE POPULATION. UM. WE'VE OF COURSE, A LOT OF THE EFFORTS THAT WE'RE SEEING ARE GOING TO BE DONE WITH UTILITY LEVEL, PARTICULARLY THE ELECTRIC UTILITIES AND HOW THEY HARDENED THEIR. GAS DELIVERY SYSTEMS OF FUEL DELIVERY AND THEIR OWN UTILITY SYSTEMS SO WE DON'T LOSE POWER SO READILY. UM AND THOSE ARE I THINK IF WE WERE TO HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THAT AGAIN, WHICH I DON'T THINK WE WILL, 100 YEAR EVENT, BUT YOU, YOU KNOW THE STATISTICAL CHANCES OF HAVING TWO OF THOSE AND TWO GREAT YEARS ARE VERY, VERY MINUTE BUT IT COULD HAPPEN RIGHT FROM THE PROBABILITY EXISTS. BUT I DO THINK THAT WEARING A FAR BETTER POSITION THIS YEAR IF IT WERE TO HAPPEN, THEN WE WERE LAST YEAR. REALLY THE STATE WAS YOU KNOW, TEXAS JUST ISN'T BUILT FOR THAT KIND OF SUSTAINED COLD WEATHER AND IT SHOWED, AND SO WE MADE SOME STATE AND THE COMMUNITIES HAVE MADE SOME CHANGES TO, I THINK. BETTER WEATHER IT. IF IT HAPPENS, LET'S HOPE IT DOESN'T WELL, LET'S LET'S HOPE IT DOESN'T BUT, YOU KNOW, MY NEIGHBORS ARE ALREADY STOCKING UP ON FIREWOOD. AND FOR THOSE OF US THAT HAVE ELDERLY PARENTS LIVING ON THE THIRD FLOOR AND RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES SITTING IN THE DARK FOR A DAY AT A TIME IS A WORRISOME THING. SO JUST

[00:20:05]

REALLY INTERESTED. I KNOW YOU AT THE CITY HAVE SUCH A TERRIFIC SORT OF. EMERGENCY DISASTER TEAM . IF THERE WERE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS THEY WERE PUTTING OUT OR IF THERE WAS ANY WAY JUST AVERAGE CITIZENS COULD BE PART OF A PHONE CHAIN OR BE ABLE TO HELP THOSE MIGHT BE.

WITHOUT ANY SORT OF FAMILY OR IN NEIGHBORS. SO THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE TRULY ARE THROUGH THE COMMUNITY EFFORTS LIKE THAT PHONE CHAINS AND THE CHURCHES AND ALL OF THOSE. INSTITUTIONS OF THE COMMUNITY. THERE ARE SOCIAL INSTITUTIONS THAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE IN ADVANCE IF WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE RESPONSE, AND OUR FIRST RESPONDERS ARE TERRIFIC, BUT WHEN YOU GET FLOODED WITH A BUNCH OF CALLS AND. FOR SERVICE ALL AT THE SAME TIME. IT'S NOT GOING TO BE. YOU KNOW, YOU CAN MAYBE WAITING FOR A WHILE, AND SO THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE IS THROUGH THE SOCIAL INSTITUTIONS. THAT WE HAVE NEIGHBORS AND FAMILIES AND CHURCHES AND, YOU KNOW OTHER OTHER SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS, ETCETERA. THANK YOU. OKAY, THANKS VERY MUCH.

HAVE VISIT MAGGIE MCKINNEY, DIDA LITTLE FOOTBALL GAME HERE THIS WEEKEND AND IT'S A REMATCH BEAR STATE BULLDOGS AGAINST THE VALDOSTA BLAZERS. WE ARE EXTREMELY EXCITED. THEY CAME IN LAST NIGHT AND I HAVE TO SAY JUST SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR MOTOR, JACK'S PD, WHO. DROVE THEM IN. THE KIDS WERE THOROUGHLY EXCITED. THEY WERE EXHAUSTED AND HUNGRY WHEN THEY GOT HERE, BUT THEY WERE REALLY, REALLY EXCITED TO BE HERE. UM, WE HAVE THE GAME AT EIGHT P.M.

IT'S GOING TO BE TELEVISED ON ESPN YOU TAILGATING STARTS AT FIVE AT THE SD STADIUM. TACOS TEQUILA AND SERVICES GOING ON FROM THE 17TH THROUGH THE 19TH SO MAKE SURE TO GO TO VISIT MCKINNEY DOT COM OR TO THE TO FACEBOOK PAGE TO FIND OUT WHO THOSE RESTAURANTS ARE. UM AND, UH, WE JUST WANT TO SAY A SPECIAL THANKS TO MY SD AND FIRE AND IT TAKES SO MUCH TO MAKE ALL OF THIS HAPPEN, AND IT'S GOING TO BE EXCITING AND I JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR SATURDAY. UM WE HAVE ALSO RECEIVED THE LINEUP FOR D. C IN JULY. IT WILL BE THE SANTA CLARA VANGUARD PHANTOM REG REGIMENT. BLUE STARS. CAROLINA CROWN THE COLTS GENESIS. SEATTLE CASCADES AND THE SPIRIT OF ATLANTA. SO I LOOK FORWARD TO YOU ALL HAVING FUN IN JULY. I WON'T BE HERE, BUT I'M SURE IT'LL BE AMAZING. ALSO WE HAVE AN INFLUENCER COMING IN JULY 13TH THROUGH THE 14TH. IT'S A MOLLY AND WE ALSO HAVE OUR HISTORIC WALKING TOURS THAT ARE COMING UP, SO MAKE SURE TO LOG ONTO OUR WEBSITE FOR THAT. AND THEN I ALSO WANTED TO SHOW YOU ALL SOME OF OUR SWAG THAT WE HAVE IN THE MCKINNEY MARKET STORE. UM SO THE T SHIRT 16 AND THE SWEATSHIRT IS 36. THIS IS WITH OUR NEW BRANDING AND LOGOS . SO IF Y'ALL NEED CHRISTMAS GIFTS, MAKE SURE Y'ALL STOP IN.

TO THE MCKINNEY MARKET SHOT. AND THEN ALSO WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THE INTERIM WILL BE MARIE WOODARD. SHE IS OUR REMOTE SALES PERSON OUT OF THE GEORGETOWN AREA, SO SHE SELLS AUSTIN, HOUSTON AND SAN ANTONIO FORESTS AND SHE'LL BE HERE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY UNTIL THEY HIRE SOMEONE FOR THE POSITION. AND THEN I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU. YOU ALL HAVE , UH I MEAN, THIS TOWN IS SO NEAR AND DEAR TO MY HEART. I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR HALF OF MY LIFE. SO BESIDES BEING IN SOUTH TEXAS AND HERE BIKINIS HOME. SO I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU ALL.

YOU ALL HAVE BEEN GREAT PARTNERS . I KNOW YOU ALL HAVE VOLUNTEERED FOR US TO DO DIFFERENT THINGS. SO THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. IT MEANS A LOT. AND I JUST WANT TO WISH EVERYONE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. SO I WILL JUST SAY PLEASE LET MISS MARINO SHE HAS BIG SHOES TO FEEL, UM I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED JUST YOUR SMILE WHEN YOU COME UP HERE TO PRESENT , OF COURSE, SEEING YOU OUT IN THE COMMUNITY AND. I GOT TO BE LIKE DEDE AND JUST RUN UP LIKE WE'RE KIDS. SO THANK YOU. AND I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST ON YOUR NEXT JOURNEY THAT YOU HAVE.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR IN YOUR TEAM FOR EVERYTHING YOU'VE ALWAYS DONE. FOR THE COMMUNITY AND STEPPING OUT OUTSIDE OF THE BOX . YOUR LEADERSHIP HAS BEEN IMPECCABLE. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH . I THINK SHE GETS AROUND OF APPLAUSE. THANK YOU. EEC THEY HAVE AN EVENT THIS MORNING SO THEY WILL NOT. PRESENT THIS MORNING THAT WILL PROVIDE A REPORT NEXT. WE HAVE MAIN

[00:25:01]

STREET. HELLO GOOD MORNING IN CTC BOARD AND CHAIRWOMAN. I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME. AMY COULDN'T BE HERE THIS MORNING WITH Y'ALL BUT HAVE A FEW UPDATES FROM THE MAIN STREET BOARD. FIRST OFF. THANK YOU. CHANCE WE HAVE SOME REALLY OUTSTANDING SALES TAX NUMBERS TO REPORT FOR SEPTEMBER. UP 42% FROM 2020, OBVIOUSLY, BUT REALLY , WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT 26% UP OVER 2019, WHICH IS OUR KIND OF APPLES TO APPLES COMPARISON. THERE UM, WE'VE HAD A VERY BUSY SEASON THIS HOLIDAY. THANKS CDC FOR FANTASTIC HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. DESPITE THE RAIN ON SATURDAY, IT WAS A RECORD YEAR. RECORD SALES AND OUR ATTENDANCE WAS VERY STRONG, EVEN THOUGH WE LOST A REALLY LONG DAY, SO. SPECIAL THINGS THAT CATHERINE DEBORAH FOR THE, UM. COMING OUT AND SUPPORTING THE MINORI LIGHTING AS WELL AS THIS SPECIAL THREE E GATHERING ON KENTUCKY STREET THAT'S BEEN REALLY WELL RECEIVED BY THE COMMUNITY AND WHAT A PARADE ON SATURDAY. THAT WAS AWESOME. YOU HAD SO MANY KIND WORDS TO SAY ABOUT THAT, AND IT WAS REALLY SPECIALISTS IN THE COMMUNITY OUT FOR THAT. UM WE'LL HAVE SOME FUN CONTINUING THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE SEASON. SANTA ON THE SQUARE THIS WEEKEND. WE HAVE A COUPLE OF SHOWS THAT IMPACT MICHAEL MEN'S ONIS BIG CHRISTMAS VARIETY. AND THEN WE ALSO HAVE, UH, YOU KNOW , AND THAT'S THOSE SHOW THE PROCEEDS FOR THAT ARE BENEFITING HUGS, SO. AND THEN LOOKING TO 2022. WE HAVE THE BRIDAL SHOW IN JANUARY AND LOVE LIVES. POP ART EXHIBIT FEATURING WORK BY KAREN KNITS AND ROGER NET, SO VERY LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT, AND. TEXAS TENORS, THEY'RE COMING BACK. THE PROBABLY WOULD BE A SOLD OUT SHOW AND THEY'RE COMING ON FEBRUARY. 11TH AND. YOU KNOW, YOU KIND OF ALLUDED TO THE, UM.

AWFUL TORNADO. THAT WOULD HAPPEN IN KENTUCKY. SO THERE WAS A COMMUNITY CALLED MAYFIELD, KENTUCKY. THAT WAS A SIMILAR DOWNTOWN TO OURS. AND SO A COUPLE OF THE MERCHANTS KIND OF GOT TOGETHER. AND WE'RE WORKING ON A MCKINNEY HARD MAIN FIELD CAMPAIGN, SO IT LOOKS LIKE DECEMBER 29TH. A NUMBER OF MERCHANTS AND DOWNTOWN WILL BE. DONATING A PERCENTAGE OF THEIR SALES TO SUPPORT REBUILDING EFFORTS FOR THAT COMMUNITY. SO UM, I WANT TO GIVE A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO JENNIFER CLAWSON, WHO KIND OF REALLY SPEARHEADED THE IDEA. AND THEN, AS WELL AS LONE STAR WINE CELLARS. THEY'RE KICKING IT KICKING THE CAMPAIGN OFF WITH A $5000 CONTRIBUTION.

SO WE'RE VERY GRATEFUL FOR THAT , AND YOU KNOW IT'S JUST A REALLY WARM THING THIS TIME SEASON TWO AND IT WHEN YOU SAW THIS PICTURES OF THAT DOWNTOWN, DEVASTATED AND WE'RE LIKE, OH, MAN, YOU CAN JUST IMAGINE THAT WOULD JUST BE SO DEVASTATING FOR OUR COMMUNITY AND YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW THEY'RE FEELING. AND WE. EVERYONE WANTED TO DO SOMETHING FOR THAT. SO ANY QUESTIONS, BUT THAT'S ALL THE UPDATES THAT WE HAVE BEEN SEEING YOU WITH THE FLOWER REGAN ALL.

OKAY UH, I'M EXCITED FOR THE PARTNERSHIP. THAT YOU'RE DOING WITH THAT COMMUNITY AGAIN.

ANOTHER GREAT REASON WHY I LOVE THE CITY OF MCKINNEY BECAUSE WE ARE ALWAYS THINKING OF OTHERS AND OTHER COMMUNITIES. UM THAT GO THROUGH THINGS. SO THANK YOU FOR THAT AND LET THE MERCHANTS NO. WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK YOU, UH, AND THE MAIN STREET TEAM. FOR YOUR ACCOMMODATION AND HELP WITH THE THREE UNITED EVENT , WHICH WAS VERY GOOD. UM IT WAS A SEASON OF JOY, CELEBRATE HOPE.

AND CRYSTAL YATES BROUGHT THE MUSIC SHE AND HER HUSBAND AND IT WAS JUST A VERY WARM TIME OF FELLOWSHIP. SO AGAIN, THANK YOU. FIRST TIME THREE UNITED WAS INVOLVED IN HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. WE APPRECIATE YOU ABSOLUTELY. THANK YOU, MARY. CHRISTMAS THANK YOU. MERRY CHRISTMAS. HAPPY HOLIDAYS, PARKS AND REC, MR MULLINS. GOOD MORNING. BRIAN MULLEN SESSION, DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION FILLING IN FOR MR KOWSKI. WE HAVE SOME UPCOMING EVENTS JANUARY 20TH AT FOUR P.M. AT THE OLD CENTERS RECREATION CENTER WILL BE HOSTING THE EAST MCKINNEY PROJECTS, OUTREACH AND OPEN HOUSE. ON JANUARY 22ND ON THE ATOMIC PARK WILL HAVE A FRISCO RUNNING COMPANIES, HALF MARATHON AND FIVE K. AND AT IRWIN PARK ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 29TH. WE WILL HAVE THE NINJA MOUNTAIN BIKE PERFORMANCE SKILLS CLINIC, SO IT'S A POPULAR BEEN OUT THERE. OUR ACTIVITY GUIDES ARE NOW PRINTED IN HAND AND ONLINE RAN OUT OF THE OFFICE FOR MEN TO GRAB YOU ALL A COPY OF THEM. OUR PARKS AND REC GUIDE IS ACTUALLY KIND OF A FLIP GUIDE.

THIS YEAR. HE FLIP IT OVER. YOU'LL HAVE A. SENIOR CENTER EDITION FRONT SIDE YOU HAVE THE REGULAR PARKS AND RECREATION EDITION, AND OUR APEX GUIDE IS ALSO OUT. EARLIER THIS MONTH,

[00:30:02]

THE CITY COUNCIL RECOGNIZED THE MEMBER OF OUR MEMBERS OF OUR APEX TEAM FOR THEIR EFFORTS IN TRYING TO SAVE A GENTLEMAN'S LIFE WHO HAD COLLAPSED OUTSIDE OF THE FACILITY VERY PROUD OF THEIR RESPONSE FOR THAT. ULTIMATELY THE GENTLEMAN DID PASS AWAY, BUT THROUGH THEIR EFFORTS, THEY WERE ABLE TO SUSTAIN HIS LIFE LONG ENOUGH THAT HIS FAMILY WAS ABLE TO SAY GOODBYE TO HIM BEFORE HE PASSED. MM. ALSO AT OUR APEX FACILITY, AS MR BURR ALLUDED TO EARLIER.

THE NINJA CROSS SYSTEM THAT WE HAVE INSTALLED HAD 166 MEMBERS SIGNED UP FOR THE PREVIEW OF THIS PAST WEEKEND. NO ONE MADE IT ACROSS A LITTLE MORE CHALLENGING SKILL SIDE.

UNFORTUNATELY WITH THAT SYSTEM, WE'RE ABLE TO SWITCH SOME OF THOSE THINGS OUT. MOVE SOME STUFF AROUND SO. WE'LL PROBABLY PLAY AROUND WITH IT, TRYING TO MAKE IT SOMEWHAT EASIER, AT LEAST MANAGEABLE AND SOMEONE CAN ACTUALLY COMPLETED. I HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET. SO MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE I CAN DO IT. I WILL TRY. THE PLEASE LET US KNOW WHEN THAT'S HAPPENING. ALSO KEEPING WITH NARCOTICS TEAM ARE AQUATICS DEPARTMENTS, THOSE AT APEX AND OUR OTHER CITY AQUATIC. WERE NAMED THE NORTH TEXAS AQUATIC ASSOCIATIONS AGENCY OF THE YEAR UNTIL IT'S AN ANNUAL AWARD.

GIVEN OUT THERE'S THE TEXAS PUBLIC POOR COUNCIL, WHICH DIVIDE THE STATE INTO FIVE REGIONS. THE NORTH TEXAS AQUATIC ASSOCIATION IS A. A JOINT EFFORT OF TWO OF THOSE REGIONS. IT'S A LOCAL ORGANIZATION THROUGH THE DFW METROPLEX, SO IT'S A VERY HIGH HONOR FOR US TO RECEIVE THAT. AND LAST, BUT NOT LEAST WE SAY GOODBYE TO A LONG TENURED EMPLOYEE AT THE CITY OF MCKINNEY, RICK LONG RETIRED AFTER 35 YEARS WITH THE CITY OF MCKINNEY. I STARTED WITH THE CITY. MCKINNEY IN 1991 IS A LIFEGUARD, AND TODAY'S THE FIRST DAY I'VE WORKED FOR THE CITY MCKINNEY THAT RICK LUNG IS NO LONGER AN EMPLOYEE. SO KIND OF SAD TO SEE HIM GO. HE'S BEEN HERE SINCE 1987. JUST AFTER THE MCKINNEY COMMUNITY CENTER OPENED UP. HE WAS HIRED AS A RECREATION SPECIALIST THERE. SOON ADVANCED TO THE CENTER SUPERVISOR, OR HE STAYED UNTIL ABOUT 2000 AND FIVE AND THEY BECAME OUR ATHLETIC SUPERVISOR, WHICH IS THE POSITION OF RETIRING FROM THAT ANY QUESTIONS? THERE IS NO WHEN YOU'RE READY TO COMPLETE THE NINJA SO WE CAN ALL YOU'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO EVENT. MAYBE I'LL TURN THE CAMERAS OFF IN. JUST SAY, I DID COMPARE THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO HAPPY HOLIDAYS. TIME WE HAVE AGENDA ITEM 21-11 21 PRESIDENT'S

[President’s Report]

REPORT. THANK YOU, MADAM CHAIR. MEMBERS OF THE BOARD JUST WANTED TO HIGHLIGHT A COUPLE OF THE.

REPORTS THAT WERE ATTACHED TO THE AGENDA FOR YOUR REVIEW, THE NORTH TEXAS FAMILY HEALTH FOUNDATION SENT A REPORT ON UM. THEIR ACTIVITIES OVER THE PAST YEAR, AND I THINK IT'S REALLY IMPRESSIVE. THEY THEY SERVED MORE THAN 4500 UNIQUE PATIENTS PROVIDED OVER 18,000 CLINICAL SERVICES. 90% OF THE PATIENTS COME FROM. THE MCKINNEYS BECAUSE SO THE IMPACT THAT THEY'RE HAVING ON THE COMMUNITY AND THEIR WORK IN FULFILLING THEIR MISSION TO REDUCE BARRIERS TO CARE, PROVIDE CARE IN A MEDICAL HOME SO THAT THE WHOLE PATIENTS TREATED PROVIDING A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT AND CONNECTING WITH OTHER RESOURCES. THROUGH. INITIATIVES LIKE THE MCKINNEY HUNGER, FREE COALITION, SENIOR SERVICE ALLIANCE AND OTHERS. I THINK THEY'RE IT'S CLEAR THE IMPORTANCE THEY BRING IN THE THEN THE IMPACT THAT THEY HAVE IN THIS COMMUNITY. THERE. THERE WAS. THE FINAL REPORT FROM DIA DE LOS MUERTOS INCLUDED ON THE AGENDA AND I HAVE TO SAY I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH. THE UM ORGANIZATION OF THE EVENT. CLEARLY THE RESULTS OF THE EVENT WERE OUTSTANDING, BUT THE THOUGHT THAT WAS PUT INTO IDENTIFYING STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES THEY ORGANIZATION OF THE. THE VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE AND THEN THE RESULTS THAT WERE ACHIEVED. JUST BE SURE AND READ THROUGH THAT REPORT, BECAUSE IT IS TRULY IMPRESSIVE AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THAT GO. FORWARD IN 2022 , THEN ALSO YOU RECALL THAT CDC PROVIDED A GRANT TO MCKINNEY'S COMMUNITY, UM HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT A COUPLE YEARS AGO, TOO. SUPPORT THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE PROGRAM , AND THEY HAVE FINISHED OUT THAT GRANT IF YOU LOOK AT THE BEFORE, AND AFTER PICTURES OF THE HOMES THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO AGAIN, IT'S REALLY. CLEAR THE IMPACT THAT THAT PROGRAMS HAVING AND HELPING RESIDENTS BRING THEIR LOW INCOME RESIDENTS BRING THEIR HOMES UP TO CODE. A COUPLE OF OTHER THINGS. PROJECT GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE DUE DECEMBER 31 FOR THE FIRST CYCLE. UM. TONIGHT THERE IS, UH, HABITAT, COLLIN

COMMUNITY EVENT GRANT APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED BY THE HERITAGE GUILD OF COLLIN COUNTY.

PC TWO TO DACHAU, TOO. IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,685 FOR THE ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE 20 TO 2022 EVENTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FARMERS MARKET EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING MURDER MYSTERY. BORN FRESH MARKET DINNER AND WILL BE PRESENTED BY MR JAMIE PEDIGO. GOOD MORNING, JAMIE PEDIGO HERITAGE GUILD OF CALLING COUNTY. THIS IS OUR APPLICATION FOR 13,000. LINDA THANKS, 698,000 AND $85. $13,685.90. OF OUR BUDGET FOR THE SPRING EVENTS, AND I JUST WANT TO POINT OUT THAT I ALWAYS GO OVER BUDGET FOR ADVERTISING.

SO THAT ENDS UP TO BE MORE LIKE 75% OF WHAT WE SPEND. THIS YEAR. I'M $7600 OVER BUDGET, SO THANK YOU TO MY BOARD WHO SUPPORTS THAT? UM AND ALSO I WANTED TO POINT OUT THAT THESE ARE FOR MULTIPLE EVENTS. SO I THINK I LOST THAT SLIDE SOMEWHERE BUT MULTIPLE EVENTS OVER SIX MONTHS.

AS YOU KNOW, THE FARMERS MARKET RUNS ALMOST EVERY WEEK. PRAYER CAMP RUNS 10 TIMES A SUMMER. SO THESE ARE SOME RECURRING EVENT THAT WE PROMOTE MONTHLY. THIS IS OUR BUDGET FOR THE 13,685. ALL OF THE MONEY IS PRETTY MUCH SPENT LOCALLY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF EDIBLE DALLAS AND DRIVE GUIDE , SO WE ALSO FEEL LIKE SUPPORTING LOCAL PUBLICATIONS IS IMPORTANT AS WELL. UM. EFFECTIVE CREATIVE ADVERTISING, WHICH TRACKABLE RESULTS IS ALWAYS A CHALLENGE. WE HAVE STARTED TO IMPLEMENT A QR CODE WITH EVERYTHING SO THAT WE CAN KIND OF TRACK THOSE RESULTS. MORE SUPER EXCITED ABOUT BEING ABLE TO DO THAT. I WILL TELL YOU THANK YOU FOR SHOUTING OUT TO THE HOME TOUR WE HAD WE SOLD TICKETS AND 100 AND TWO ZIP CODES. FIRST TIME EVER IN THE RESULTS THAT I CAN TRACK THAT WE MIGHT OVER 100 CODES, SO DAVID KELLY WILL TELL YOU WHAT IT'S LIKE TO HAVE 1800 PEOPLE IN HIS HOUSE. UM THIS IS OUR SOCIAL MEDIA REACH FARMERS. MARKET PAGE CONTINUES TO PERFORM. AND OUTPACED THE CHEST. THAT'S WHERE PAGE WE'RE LOOKING AT WAYS TO INTEGRATE THAT MARKETING SO THAT THEN PEOPLE GET A BIGGER PICTURE OF WHAT CHESTNUT SQUARES ALL ABOUT. HERE'S OUR FARMERS MARKET SCHEDULE COMING UP. NOW, WINTER SCHEDULES A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT . THE FARM FRESH FOOD WALK. I KNOW A LOT OF YOU WERE THERE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS LAST YEAR. WE'RE ALSO LOOKING AT PUTTING A COMPONENT OF OUR NEW. BAR WARS INTO THAT, UM ANGELA CAN TELL

[00:45:06]

YOU IS PRETTY GOOD TIME AND SO WE'RE LOOKING AT ADDING THAT TO OUR ROSTER OF FUN EVENTS TWO OR THREE A YEAR. HOPING TO BRING IN A LITTLE BIT YOUNGER CROWD. DAVID WALSH WILL TELL YOU THAT THE AVERAGE AGE ON THE HOME TOURS ABOUT 65, SO WE'RE HOPING TO LOOK FOR SOME YOUNGER COMPONENTS TO GET INVOLVED. WE'RE WORKING WITH MCCAIN REPERTORY THEATER TO DO OUR MARGARET MYSTERY THIS YEAR. SO ANOTHER LOCAL COLLABORATION WE'RE VERY PROUD OF. AND THERE'S SOME PICTURES FROM PRAIRIE KAMPAR CHRISTMAS PRAIRIE CAMPUS ON SALE RIGHT NOW. MAN WITHOUT ALL STAND PRETTY QUESTION. I'LL JUST MAKE A COMMENT. JAMIE DID AMAZING JOB AS ALWAYS WITH THE HOME TOUR, AND WE DID HAVE IS IT WAS IT 1800 PEOPLE SOMEWHERE AROUND 16 TO 1800? YEAH, IT WAS A LOT, BUT I WILL TELL YOU IT WAS A LOT OF FUN. WE REALLY ENJOYED TALKING WITH EVERYBODY WHO CAME TO THE HOUSE AND IT WAS A LOT OF WORK TO GET IT READY, BUT. YOU GUYS DID A GREAT JOB AND NOTHING BROKEN. NOTHING GOT STOLEN. I WILL TELL YOU. IT IS SCARY WHEN A BUS OF 50 65 YEAR OLD WOMEN UNLOADS IN FRONT OF YOUR HOUSE. AND THEY ALL COME IN AT THE SAME TIME. UM IT'S INTIMIDATING FOR SURE. BUT. YOU GUYS DID A GREAT JOB. THANK YOU ACTUALLY ALREADY HAVE SEVEN HOUSES IN THE RUNNING FOR NEXT YEAR THAT ARE ASKING TO BE PART OF IT. SO THAT'S GREAT. AND THEN , AS SOME OF YOU KNOW, TWO YEARS WILL HAVE THE 50TH. AND WE HAVE A GREAT BIG PLANS FOR THAT ONE.

SO. NOW, JUST SAYING AGAIN. THE BAR WASN'T SHE THREW ME UNDER THE BIRTHS ABOUT THEM. IT WAS IT WAS A GREAT EVENT. WAS THAT THE FIRST TV? IT WAS THE FIRST ONE. KEEP IT GOING THAT WAS SUPER EXCITED TO PARTNER WITH MCKINNEY RESTAURANT COUNCIL. SO KATHY AND JOY ARE BOTH HERE. THERE WERE A COMPONENT OF THAT, AND THEN THE DALLAS RESTAURANT COUNCIL ACTUALLY SUPPORTED AS WELL. SO AND IF YOU SAW THAT MADE HIM MCKINNEY THING, TIME IS ON OUR BOARD GAVE A LITTLE SHOUT OUT TO IT, SO WE'RE SUPER PROUD OF THAT. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK YOU PUT IN. AND I MEAN A LOT OF COUNTLESS HOURS THAT I KNOW ARE OUR SACRIFICE FOR YOUR PERSON. WELL, WE'RE BLESSED AT THE HOME TOUR IS GOOD WEATHER TO THAT ONLY HELPS, RIGHT. YOU CAN MAKE A LOT OF MISTAKES. PEOPLE DON'T SEE HIM IF IT'S NICE WEATHER, RIGHT? THANK YOU AGAIN. THANK YOU. NEXT WE HAVE 21-11 TO

4 CONSIDERING DISCUSS PROMOTIONAL COMMUNITY EVENT GRANT APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED BY SPG HOSPITALITY. PC 22-03. IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 FOR ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE 2022 SIP AND STROLL SERIES, MR STEVENS. GOOD MORNING, ANDREW STEPHAN WITH SPG HOSPITALITY. THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME AND ALLOWING ME TO PRESENT. BUT CAN YOU RESIDENTS AND VISITORS ARE INVITED TO EXPERIENCE GOOD TIMES AND COLD BEVERAGES AND DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY AT THE 2022 SIMPLE STROLL SERIES. THE STROLLS BRING LOCAL RESIDENTS AND VISITORS SIT DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY AND INSIDE THE SHOPS WHERE THEY'LL BE ABLE TO ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL MERCHANTS SPEND MONEY AND MCKINNEY AND ENJOY DELICIOUS BEVERAGES WHILE TAKING IN THE SIGHTS OF BEAUTIFUL DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY. NOT ONLY DO THE WALKS, INCREASED SALES AND FOOT TRAFFIC FOR DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS, BUT THEY ALSO HELP IN PROMOTING DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY ON A CONSISTENT BASIS BASIS, KEEPING IT TOP OF MIND WITH COLLIN COUNTY SHOPPERS. THE WALKS ATTRACT. MCKENNEY RESIDENTS BUT ALSO BRING MANY VISITORS TO DOWNTOWN. EACH WALK IS CAPTAIN 1500 PARTICIPANTS AND NOT OVERWHELMED THE MERCHANTS AND TO KEEP LYING SHORT AND ENJOYABLE FOR ATTENDEES. IN ADDITION TO BRINGING TOURISM TO MCKENNY. OUR GOALS ARE TO CREATE FUN EXPERIENCES FOR RESIDENTS THAT INCREASE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE AND SHOWCASE MCKINNEY AS A UNIQUE DESTINATION. OR WALKS ALSO FEATURE LOCAL MUSICIANS PERFORMING AROUND THE SQUARE COSTUME CONTEST. PHOTO BOOST AND FUND SWAG. HERE'S SOME OF THE FEEDBACK THAT WE'VE GOTTEN FROM SOME OF THE MERCHANTS OF PARTICIPATE. THERE'S 20 MERCHANTS THAT PARTICIPATE SOMETIMES MORE. UM IT'S KIND OF DONE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS SOMETIMES. THERE'S EXTRA BUSINESSES THAT WANT TO PARTICIPATE THAT DIDN'T GET IN ON THE 20 SO WE USUALLY ACCOMMODATE ARE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE MORE THAN JUST 20. BUT EVERYTHING FROM MERCHANTS THAT DON'T NORMALLY SEE THE TYPE OF FOOT TRAFFIC THAT IT BRINGS INTO THEIR SHOPS. TO, YOU KNOW, INCREASING THEIR SALES, OBVIOUSLY ON THE DAY OF THESE BRAIN, YOU KNOW ANYWHERE FROM 1000 TO 1500 PEOPLE INTO 20 DIFFERENT STORES. TO SHOP IN DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY, WHICH. BASED ON OUR WHAT WE ASKED FOR. IN TERMS OF THE ADVERTISING GRANT THIS CYCLE AND PREVIOUS CYCLE AVERAGED OUT TO ANYWHERE FROM

[00:50:01]

$2.26 LIKE IT WAS LAST YEAR TO $2.50. IF WE WERE TO RECEIVE THE FULL 15,000 THIS YEAR PER.

PERSON COMING TO DOWNTOWN WITH KENNY, AND THAT'S ONE PERSON GOING INTO 20 DIFFERENT STORES TO SHOP AND NOT ONLY IS ALSO BOUGHT A TICKET TO ATTEND THE EVENT TO PAY SALES TAX ON THAT AS WELL. UM BUT OVERALL, VERY SUCCESSFUL FOR ALL THE MERCHANTS. EACH WALK DONATES 20% OF ITS NET PROCEEDS TO MCKINNEY MAIN STREET, AN ADDITIONAL 1500 PER EVENT TO A LOCAL NONPROFIT MCKINNEY. MAIN STREET HAS PARTNERED ON EVERY EVENT. WE ALSO PARTNER WITH LOCAL MCKINNEY NON PROFIT ON EACH EVENT IN 2022. OUR NONPROFIT PARTNERS INCLUDE HOUSE CAFE AND ALLIANCE ELITE YOUTH LEADERSHIP. IN 2021 . WE WERE ABLE TO DONATE OVER 7 87 100 TO MCKINNEY NONPROFIT, US SUCCESS BASED ON OUR ATTENDANTS. WE HOPE TO SELL OUT EACH WALK AT 1500 OR SUCCESSFUL ALSO BE DEPENDENT ON FEEDBACK FROM THE LOCAL MERCHANTS WHO WANT TO HEAR THAT THEY HAD A SPECTACULAR SALES DAY. BELOW IS A LIST OF THE FOUR WALKS THAT WE PLAN MCKINNEY ST. PAT'S BEER WALK IS ACTUALLY MARCHED. 12TH CRAFT BEER WALK AGAIN. THE MARGARITA STROLL, WHICH HAS BEEN THE MOST POPULAR ONE. IN THE HALLOWEEN WALK AGAIN. SO, UM. AT THE END OF THE PRESENTATION, YOU'LL FIND A BREAKDOWN OF WHERE WE SPEND THE MONEY AS WELL AS, UM. BREAKDOWN OF THE EXPENSES AND COSTS FOR THE OVERALL EVENT. BUT THANK YOU, I'LL TAKE ANY QUESTION. GO TO THOSE FLOODS.

YEAH, BRING DOWN UM. SO BREAKDOWN OF THE TICKET SALES EQUALS 45,000 MEDIAN COST 22 TO 24,000 PER EVENT. HERE'S A BREAKDOWN OF THE MARKETING PLAN. AND HELP OUT WHAT PERCENTAGE.

WAS THE 15,000 COVER OF YOUR MARKETING BUDGET. AS AS OF RIGHT NOW, IT WOULD COVER MOST OF IT 100% DEPENDING ON YOU KNOW, WE WOULD SPEND MORE IF WE NEED TO PER CAMPAIGN, DEPENDING ON HOW TICKET SALES ARE GOING AS WE APPROACH THE EVENTS. YOU HAD MENTIONED THAT YOU HAD MORE BIRCH INTS WANTING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 20 STOPS THAT YOU HAVE. HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUY STOP. I PROBABLY ENJOY THESE SIPPING STROLLS LIKE ANGIE AND JOYCE BORROWERS, BUT EVERY STOP YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES, BUT YOU ONLY GET ONE. AND I DO RECOGNIZE THE FACT THAT IF YOU GIVE EVERYBODY EVERY CHOICE, IT COULD NOT END WELL FOR LOTS OF PEOPLE AT THE END OF THE NIGHT, SO I'M NOT SUGGESTING THAT AT ALL. BUT IS THERE ANY WAY TO EXPAND THE NUMBER OF STOPS TO ALLOW INDIVIDUALS IN THOSE BUSINESSES THAT MAYBE DIDN'T GET TO PARTICIPATE? OR HOW DO YOU DECIDE IF SOMEBODY DIDN'T MAKE THE CUT? BUT WANTS TO PARTICIPATE IN SOME TYPE OF ONE OF THE FOUR SERIES. YEAH THAT'S A GREAT QUESTION. WE TYPICALLY ADD WHAT WE CALL BONUS STOPS, SO IT MIGHT NOT BE, UM. YOU KNOW, AND ALCOHOL SAMPLE THAT THEY GET AT THAT PARTICULAR MERCHANT. BUT GENERALLY, EVERY MERCHANT THAT WANTS TO PARTICIPATE OR SIGNS UP IS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO IN SOME SHAPE OR FORM. THEY'RE GETTING THEIR POSTED ON THE MAP. AS SOME STOP. YOU KNOW, IT MIGHT BE A. A DIFFERENT SAMPLE LIKE THE LIKE THE ICE CREAM. THE CREAM. MARIE DATA MIGHT SERVE A SAMPLE OF THEIR ICE CREAM THAT WE DON'T PROVIDE. THEY PROVIDE THAT ON THEIR OWN. OR INSTANCES OF THAT, OR MIGHT, IF IT'S CRAFT BEER WALK, WE MIGHT ADD IN A. A PARTNER THAT WE DO BUSINESS WITH, LIKE A BLOODY MARY DISTRIBUTOR OR SOMETHING TO DO A BLOODY MARY SAMPLE THAT LOCATION BUT WERE GENERALLY ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE EVERYBODY THAT WANTS TO PARTICIPATE IN AND GET PEOPLE INTO THEIR SHOP. OKAY GOOD. AND THEN 20 YOU KNOW AT THIS WOULD BE A CERTAIN BUT WE'RE. THERE'S JUST TOO MANY STANDARDS. TOO MANY PLACES TO GO THEN, UM A LOT OF THE MERCHANTS DON'T GET.

ESPECIALLY THE ONES THAT ARE FURTHER OUT FROM THE MAIN DOWNTOWN AREA. I NOTICE IT DOES TEND TO BE CONGREGATED KIND OF IN ONE SPOT THAT'S AND THEN. YEAH IT FEELS LIKE SOMETIMES AND I KNOW YOU'RE AT THE MERCY OF WHO WANTS TO PARTICIPATE, BUT IT JUST FEELS LIKE SOME OF THOSE STREETS. I WISH. HAVE MORE STOPS ON, BUT THEY HAVE TO WANT TO PARTICIPATE. SO I GET THAT PART . IT'S JUST ALL SEEMS TO BE IN ONE AREA. THAT'S YOU'RE GOING FROM ONE STOP TO ANOTHER, BUT ANYWAY. THANK YOU FOR THAT. ANY OTHER QUESTION. THANK YOU, MR STEPHANE. THANK YOU. 21-1125.

[00:55:05]

PROMOTION OF 2022 SPRING AND SUMMER PRODUCTION. MISS BURNS? YES HELLO. ANGIE BURNS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF OVATION. ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS. HELLO. ALL RIGHT, SO WE'RE ASKING FOR A MARKETING GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,000 TO COVER 11 DIFFERENT EVENTS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN FEBRUARY AND JULY OF 2021. UM AS YOU CAN SEE WITH SOME OF THE CRITIC REVIEWS THAT ARE ON OUR WEBSITE AND TESTIMONIES THAT ARE ON OUR WEBSITE, AND WE DO A HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTIONS HERE IN MCKINNEY FOR AGES THREE ALL THE WAY THROUGH ADULT YOU CAN GO AHEAD AND I'M GOING TO GO THROUGH THE SLIDES REALLY QUICKLY BECAUSE I HAVE A VIDEO AT THE END THAT I'D LIKE TO DO. AND I DO IT. OKAY, HAVE FUN. OKAY UM, SO, UM, THESE ARE THE 11 EVENTS THAT WE PLAN TO DO, AND THEY RANGE BETWEEN MUSICAL STAGE PLAYS, UM AND ALL AGES.

AND WE PROMOTE EVERYTHING FOR MCKINNEY ON OUR WEBSITE AS WELL AND THIS JUST GOES THROUGH SOME OF OUR PREVIOUS MARKETING. THE ONE THING THAT WE HEAR THE MOST IS THAT THEY PEOPLE WISH THEY KNEW WE EXISTED SOONER SO THAT THEY COULD COME SEE MORE OF OUR EVENTS BECAUSE WE ARE VERY ACTIVE DOING AT LEAST ONE SHOW A MONTH TYPICALLY, AND SO THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE PLACES THAT WE ADVERTISE AND WHERE THAT MONEY WOULD GO WITH THE MARKETING BUDGET THERE. UM. AND THEN I'M GOING TO PLAY. THERE'S A RADIO COMMERCIAL THAT WE, UM THAT WE PLAYED FOR ONE OF OUR SHOWS THAT YOU CAN LISTEN TO, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO PLAY THE VIDEO IF YOU CAN. HOW DO I DO THAT? YES. IT CLICKS FROM OUR PDO. WHOA! OKAY. OKAY, WELL, IF YOU WATCH THE VIDEO WHEN YOU WATCH THE VIDEO, IT DOES SHOW SOME ACTUAL FOOTAGE FROM SEVERAL OF OUR PRODUCTIONS. AND SO YOU CAN SEE THE QUALITY OF OUR PRODUCTIONS AND IT DOES HAVE TESTIMONIES FROM SOME OF THE YOUTH. THAT PARTICIPATE IN MANY OF OUR PRODUCTIONS AND WHY THEY LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN WHAT IT DOES FOR THEM. SO THAT IS ALSO ON OUR WEBSITE. IF ANYBODY ELSE WANTS TO WATCH IT, SINCE I HAVE AN EXTRA MINUTE TO TALK. UM SO, UM, WE DO PRODUCTIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY, SO WE DO CLASSES, CAMPS AND PRODUCTIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND LIKE I SAID, AGES THREE THROUGH ADULT RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE A SHOW OPENING IN JANUARY AVENUE Q, WHICH IS FOR ADULTS. MORE MATURE AUDIENCES IN OUR BLACK BOX ARE BLACK BOX HAS ONLY 50 SEATS IN IT RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE WE'RE STILL TRYING TO KEEP IT SOMEWHAT DISTANCE AS WE CAN. AND THEN WE HAVE. PLATINUM 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM SPELLING BEE GOING UP AT THE BEGINNING PERFORMING ARTS CENTER THE LAST WEEKEND IN JANUARY, AND THEN WE HAVE, WE WILL ROCK YOU YOUNG AT PART, WHICH IS A QUEEN TRIBUTE MUSICAL DONE BY 5 TO 14 YEAR OLDS. UM THAT GOES UP THE END OF FEBRUARY AND OUR BLACK BOX AS WELL. SO WE HAVE A LOT OF PRODUCTIONS COMING UP THAT YOU GUYS CAN COME AND SEE. I GAVE YOU GUYS EACH A COUPLE OF TICKETS TO COME OUT AND SEE SOMETHING AND THEN I ALSO GAVE YOU GUYS EACH A FLYER, A BROCHURE ABOUT THE PROGRAMS IN GENERAL AND WHAT WE DO, AND. ALL OF OUR PRODUCTIONS ARE OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY. THEY ARE NOT JUST FOR THE STUDENTS THAT ATTEND OUR CONSERVATORY CONSERVATORY DOES DO SEVERAL PRODUCTIONS A YEAR AS WELL THAT ARE MORE OF A HIGHER LEVEL COLLEGE AND CAREER BOUND STUDENTS INVOLVED IN THOSE SO I WILL TAKE ANY QUESTIONS. SORRY. THAT'S OKAY. I HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS. SO ARE YOU STRUCTURED WITH A BOARD? DO YOU HAVE A BOARD AND HOW MANY BOARD MEMBERS DO YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW? WE HAVE SEVEN. AND WE'RE ACTUALLY ABOUT TO ONBOARD TWO MORE AT OUR NEXT MEETING. AND DID YOU HAVE ANY UPDATED FINANCIALS AVAILABLE TO US? SO WE RUN OUR FINANCIALS EVERY JULY BECAUSE THAT'S THE END OF OUR FISCAL YEAR AND THEN DECEMBER. SO OUR ACCOUNTANTS WORKING ON HIM RIGHT NOW, AND I MESSAGED HER WHEN CINDY EMAILED ME THE OTHER DAY TO SEE IF I COULD GET HIM BY TODAY, BUT SHE HASN'T GOTTEN BACK TO ME YET, BUT I'LL GET THEM TO YOU AS SOON AS SHE GETS GETS THAT TO ME. WHERE ARE YOU GUYS LOCATED RIGHT NOW. WE'RE AT FOUR OR FOUR POWERHOUSE STREET RIGHT BEHIND THE DEMS. WE MOVED IN THERE LAST YEAR LAST SUMMER, SO. IT'S A 88 100 SQUARE FOOT BUILDING. WE HAVE A BLACK BOX ON SITE, A DANCE STUDIO ON SITE AND THEN OUR CLASSROOMS AS WELL. AND HOW MANY STUDENTS YOU HAVE AND FULL TIME IN THE ACADEMY THIS YEAR.

WE HAVE 26 RIGHT NOW, BUT WE HAVE ABOUT 12 TO 14 HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS WHO DO THEIR OUR HOME SCHOOL PROGRAM, WHICH IS A PART TIME PROGRAM FOR HOME SCHOOLERS . AND THEN WE HAVE ANYWHERE BETWEEN 20 AND 50. STUDENTS THAT ARE IN EACH PRODUCTION AND THEN OUR AVENUE Q RIGHT NOW HAS 15 ADULTS IN IT. I BELIEVE SO. GIVE ABOUT 200 FAMILIES THAT PARTICIPATE ON A REGULAR BASIS.

BUT WE HAVE SOME THAT COME AND DO JUST ONE SHOW HERE AND THERE AS WELL. SO AVENUE Q IS BEING PUT ON BY ADULTS? NOT YOURSELF? YES, YES. IT'S 16 AND UP WITH PARENT PERMISSION. BUT YES, PLEASE DON'T BRING YOUR LITTLE YEAH. AND FOR ADDITIONAL SOURCES OF FUNDING, OR DO YOU HAVE ANY

[01:00:02]

OUTRAGE OR GRANTS PENDING OR IN SUBMISSIONS ARE WAITING ON A PROJECT GRANT FROM ARTS COMMISSION. BUT THAT IS SPECIFICALLY GEARED TOWARDS THE SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK EVENT THAT WE'RE THERE. WE'RE DOING MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND IN ADRIATIC , A VILLAGE UM, AND THEN WE ARE WORKING ON TISA. THEY ACTUALLY HAVE A CLASSIFIED WRONG, SO WE'RE WORKING ON ALL OF THAT TO GET. TO GET ALL OF THAT CORRECT SO WE CAN QUALIFY. WE CAN APPLY FOR THE CORRECT GRANTS THERE AND THEN WE HAVE A VISITOR'S BUREAU GRANT PENDING, BUT THAT'S ALSO FOR THE SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK EVENT SPECIFICALLY, SO WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ELSE RIGHT NOW. MOST OF OUR SOURCES OF FUNDING DO YOU COME FROM TUITION, BUT THIS YEAR ABOUT 97% OF OUR STUDENTS ARE ON SOME SORT OF SCHOLARSHIP. INCLUDING OUR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS BECAUSE STILL RESIDUAL EFFECTS FROM COVID AND THOSE FAMILIES AND THEN SPONSORS AND DONORS. WE WERE VERY BLESSED FROM UNCLE WIRE GAVE US A $25,000 SPONSORSHIP THIS YEAR. THANK YOU. BUT UM, AND LOVE LIFE FOUNDATION HAS BEEN FANTASTIC AS WELL. IN YOUR APPLICATION SAYS THIS WILL COVER ABOUT 50% OF YOUR YES, BECAUSE I'M LIMITED TO ONLY BEING ABLE TO PROMOTE THE EVENTS AND NOT THE SCHOOL ITSELF . THE OTHER 50% IS MORE COLLABORATIVE MARKETING THAT WE DO WHERE WE PROMOTE THE SCHOOL OR THE SCHOOL EVENTS. I JUST HAVE ONE LAST QUESTION TO FOLLOW UP ON JACKIE'S WERE WAS THEIR PERIOD OF TRANSITION WITH YOUR BOARD OR SOMETHING WHERE YOU DIDN'T HAVE ONE. OR CAN YOU TELL US WHAT HAPPENED THERE? YES THERE. WE DID. A TRANSITION LAST YEAR IN FEBRUARY, FEBRUARY TO ME , WE HAD A VERY SMALL BOARD.

WE'VE ALWAYS HAD A LEGAL BOARD THREE MINIMUM. BUT WE DID TAKE SOME TIME TO VET APPLICANTS FOR OUR BOARD AND DO A TRANSITION. WE ACTUALLY IMPLEMENTED A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE FOR OVATION LAST YEAR, AND SO WE ASKED THAT ANYBODY WHO APPLIES TO OUR BOARD SERVE AT LEAST THREE MONTHS ON THAT BEFORE WE PUT THEM ON OUR BOARD SO THAT WE MAKE SURE THEY'RE ACTUALLY VESTED IN THE ORGANIZATION. AND SO THERE WAS A SMALL TRANSITION PERIOD. BUT STARTING IN MAY WE THAT WAS JUST FEBRUARY TO MAY. WHILE WE BID OUR NEW APPLICANTS , A LOT OF OUR FORMER BOARD MEMBERS AND THEIR KIDS GRADUATED OR AND THEY MOVED ON TO OTHER THINGS, SO YEAH. SO IT TYPICALLY . HOW ARE YOU? MARKETING UM, BOARD MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES AND I AM ON THE LINKS COMMITTEE. SO I MENTIONED IT QUITE OFTEN THERE. I'M ALSO A MEMBER OF THE FRISCO CHAMBER, AND THEN WE'RE. A LOT OF OUR MEMBERS COME FROM NETWORKING EVENTS RIGHT NOW. WE HAVE A LOCAL ATTORNEY WHO'S ON OUR BOARD AND WE HAVE A BUSINESSMAN GENTLEMAN WHO CAME FROM ONE OF THE FROM FRISCO CHAMBER AND THOSE NETWORKING EVENTS. ANOTHER ONE OF OUR BOARD MEMBERS AND SHE ALSO WE'VE MET IN BUSINESS NETWORKING EVENTS, LEADERSHIP. MANY OF OUR BOARD MEMBERS CAME FROM MY LEADERSHIP MCKINNEY CLASS. IT'S ALWAYS MATTER. RESOURCE DAVID. I'M WAITING BEST CLASS EVER, EVER.

UM SO IT REALLY JUST DEPENDS. AND WE ARE THE TWO THAT WERE ABOUT TO ON BOARD. WE HAVE ONE ADJUNCT PROFESSOR. SHE TEACHES ONE CLASS FOR US RIGHT NOW, AND SHE ALSO RUNS HER OWN NONPROFIT OPERA AND SO OPERA PROGRAM SO SHE'S GOING TO HELP US ON OUR BOARD AS WELL AS WE'RE. WE JUST PROMOTED ONE OF OUR STAFF TO THE DIRECTOR OF CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION, AND SHE'S GOING TO JOIN OUR EXECUTIVE BOARD AS WELL. WHAT IS YOUR TERMS? IT'S. OH, GOODNESS. WE JUST REWROTE ALL OF OUR BYLAWS. WHEN WE DID THE WHOLE ORGANIZATIONAL RESTRUCTURE. I BELIEVE THAT IT IS ONE YEAR. UM UNLESS YOU'RE ON THE EXECUTIVE OR WE HAVE AN EXECUTIVE BOARD IN A COMMUNITY BOARD AND THEN WE HAVE THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE THAT'S LESS COMMITTED. AND CAN JUST VOLUNTEER AND HELP IN DIFFERENT EVENTS. SO IT DEPENDS ON WHICH LEVEL YOU'RE ON. IF YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER. I KNOW YOU TALKED ABOUT THAT A LARGE PERCENTAGE WERE SUBSIDIZING A SCHOLARSHIP. LIKE WHAT IS THAT NUMBER? 97% THIS YEAR HAVE SOME SORT OF SUBSIDY. WE ONLY HAVE FOUR STUDENTS WHO PAY FULL TUITION. RIGHT NOW AT THE SCHOOL AND THEN OUR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS. IT JUST KIND OF DEPENDS. WE WORK WITH EVERYBODY . WE DON'T EVER WANT TO TURN ANYBODY AWAY BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO PAY. AND THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS MY BOARD YELLS AT ME FOR BECAUSE THEN WE CAN'T PAY OUR BILLS. BUT BUT WE DON'T EVER WANT TO TURN AWAY A KID SO ANOTHER QUESTION. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. [Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by Millhouse Foundation (PC 22-06) in the Amount of $13,505 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2022 Millhouse Arts Festivals, a series of two-day events held at McKinney Cotton Mill.]

EVENT GRANT APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED BY MILHOUSE FOUNDATION PC 22-06 IN THE AMOUNT OF 13,00, MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE 2022 MILHOUSE ARTS FESTIVALS, A SERIES OF TWO DAY EVENTS HELD AT THE MCKINNEY COTTON MILL. THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR HAVING US. I'M BACK WITH MILHOUSE. AND THIS IS LESLIE ROBERTSON RIGHT HERE. SO LESLIE DID ALL OF OUR GRANTS . I WOULDN'T BE STANDING HERE IF SHE HADN'T JUMPED IN AND PULL THIS ALL TOGETHER. SO FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW US. WE ARD ORGANIZATION. WE'RE KIND OF TWO ORGANIZATIONS WERE MILHOUSE FOUNDATION MILL HAS MCKINNEY BECAUSE IRIS HAD TO SPLIT THE TWO. THIS IS ALL FROM MILHOUSE FOUNDATION OF WHAT WE DO, BUT NO HOUSE TOGETHER WE SUPPORT WOMEN AND CREATIVE FIELDS, SOMETIMES CLOCK. AND SO IF YOU DRIVE DOWN ELM STREET, ANY OF YOU. RIGHT HERE IN THE ROOM. IF YOU DRIVE DOWN ELM STREET ARE CUT MILL PARTNERS AND GENEROUSLY HAVE ALLOWED US TO CREATE SERVICES FOR ART. THERE'S ACTUALLY A NEW

[01:10:03]

MURAL GOING UP EVEN TODAY. IN ONE OF THE. OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR , SO OUR ARTISTS CAN'T NOT PAINT , SO IT'S REALLY FUN FOR US. TO BE ABLE TO KIND OF ELEVATING CAN'T REACH THE WORK. LIME GREEN. SORRY ABOUT THAT, BUT WE TRY TO ENHANCE THE COMMUNITY WITH THIS PUBLIC ART. WE ALSO LOVE ENHANCING, USING THE GORGEOUS COTTON MILL TO BRING ARTISTS AND PATRONS INTO OUR CITY. SO EVEN THE PAST IN THE PAST 2.5 YEARS WE'VE HAD FIVE INDOOR FESTIVALS AND THREE. FOR INDOOR FESTIVALS. WE HAVE ONE CANCEL BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC AND THEN THREE OUTDOOR FESTIVALS . SO THIS IS MORE WE'RE HERE TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT IS WE WANT TO DO MORE OF THE ABOVE. WHAT WE TRY TO DO IS CREATE QUALITY EXPERIENCES, BECAUSE WHEN WE FIND THAT IF THE ARTISTS HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE, MEANING SALES, THEY'RE GOING TO COME BACK AND THEY'RE GOING TO TELL ALL OF THEIR ARTIST FRIENDS. THEY'RE VERY TIGHT KNIT COMMUNITY. EVEN AROUND THE STATE AND OTHER.

ARKANSAS AND OKLAHOMA. ALSO, IF THE PATRONS COME AND FIND QUALITY ART. THEY'RE GOING TO KEEP COMING BACK. AND SO WE REALLY DO WHAT WE FOUND. OUR LAST EVENT IS THAT WITH MANY OF THE ARTISTS TOLD US WITHIN THE FIRST SEVERAL HOURS OF THE FIRST DAY THEY MET THEIR SALES GOALS.

SO WE'RE WE WANT TO DO MORE OF THAT? UM AND YOU CAN'T READ ANY OF THIS, BUT WE HAVE MORE EVENTS HAPPENING IN ONE YEAR. WE WANT TO HAVE MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ARTISTS TO STAY IN TOWN RATHER THAN GOING TO THE FESTIVALS AROUND BECAUSE THEY ALL PACK UP AND. GO ALL OVER THE STATE AND WE WANT TO KEEP HIM HERE IN MCKINNEY. UM THE THING THAT'S NEW TO US THAT WE'RE DOING BECAUSE WE'VE DONE THE INDOOR FESTIVALS. WE'VE DONE THE OUTDOOR. THIS IS THE MURAL FESTIVAL. THIS IS WE ARE THE COGNITIVE AGAIN HAS GIVEN US SOME MORE CANVASES TO PLAY ON.

AND SO WE'RE GOING TO HAVE ONE COMMISSIONED ARTISTS WHO WILL DO I PERMANENT INSTALLATION ON PART OF THAT SMOKESTACK WALL. AND THEN WE'LL HAVE 10. ANNUAL EXHIBITS WILL REPAINT, AND I DON'T HAVE A PICTURE OF THAT WALL, BUT IT'S ALSO KIND OF BACK IN THAT SAME AREA THAT WE WILL HAVE 10 ARTISTS WHO WILL DO IT. THEY WILL BE UP FOR A YEAR. WE'LL REPAINT NEXT YEAR WITH DIFFERENT ARTISTS. AND THEN ON THE INSIDE OF THE DIRE ROOM. IF YOU'VE BEEN TO A WEDDING, THAT'S A LOT OF THE WEDDINGS ARE IN THE DIARY ROOM WILL HAVE MOBILE STATIONS SET UP FOR IT. WE CAN HAVE 10 TO 15 MOBILE ARTISTS. THOSE PIECES WILL BE 48 BY 60 MOST LIKELY AND WILL AUCTION THOSE OFF AND WE'RE WORKING WITH CANDY ABOUT DOING SOME ONLINE AUCTIONING AS EMPTY BALLS DOES WHO WILL LEARN FROM THEM OF HOW WE DO THAT? SO UM, WE'RE REALLY ALL ABOUT KEEPING OUR ARTISTS HERE AND BRINGING THE PATRONS HERE AND THAT HELPS THE BUSINESS GROWTH FOR ARTISTS AND IT HELPS OUR PATRONS KEEP THEIR TAXES. THE SALES DOLLARS HERE. THANK YOU AND ONE OTHER THING, JUST LIKE YOU KNOW, SHE SEE THE BUDGET. WE DID GET FUNDING FROM VISIT MCKINNEY. SO WE'VE REDUCED REQUESTS TO $5000. FOR THAT, AND THAT'S ALL FOR THE MARKETING. RIGHT NOW. IT'S MARKETING BY FACEBOOK, AS IT'S PRETTY MUCH ALL WE DO AND WORD OF MOUTH AND WE'VE DONE REALLY WELL WITH WORD OF MOUTH. WE CAN DO A LOT BETTER. WITH MARKETING FUNDS. ANY QUESTIONS? THE ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS HAVE ONE UM. WHEN YOU'RE ARTISTS MAKE SALES DO THEY CHARGE SALES TAX? AND IS THAT REMITTED TO THE CITY? WE DON'T POLICE THAT BUT WE DO ASK. THEY HAVE TO HAVE A SALES TAX ID BEFORE THEY CAN. BE PART OF OUR EVENTS, SO IT'S PART OF THE APPLICATIONS REQUIRED FIELD AND THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE IT. WE HELP THEM. BECAUSE SOME OF OUR MILHOUSE ARTISTS THEY'RE NEW AND SO WE ARE HELPING THEM IS SUPER EASY. IT TAKES A DAY. JUST GO ONLINE AND GET IT SO IT'S REQUIREMENT. ABSOLUTELY. I DON'T HAVE A QUESTION. I JUST HAVE A COMMENT THAT INVOLVES ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE APPLIED TODAY. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR LETTING US KNOW THAT YOU'VE GOT OTHER MONEY AND REDUCING YOUR AMOUNT IS IF ANYONE HAS LOOKED AT OUR AGENDA , WE HAVE WAY MORE REQUESTS THAN WE HAVE FUNDS. SO IF ANY OF YOU DURING THE NEXT MONTH. HAVE A CHANGE OF HEART AS TO HOW MUCH YOU NEED. OR MAYBE YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER FUNDING AND THAT CAN CHANGE HOW MUCH YOU NEED. PLEASE LET US KNOW BECAUSE OUR SUBCOMMITTEE WILL LOOK AT THAT, BECAUSE WHAT WE HATE TO DO IS GIVE YOU FANS AND THEN YOU'RE NOT ABLE TO SPEND IT BECAUSE. YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER FUNDS AND OVER BUDGETED AS FAR AS INCOME, OR MAYBE YOU RUN OUT OF TIME. AS THESE FUNDS WON'T BE AUTHORIZED UNTIL THE END OF JANUARY. AND MAYBE YOU'VE RUN OUT OF TIME AND DON'T HAVE TO. HAVE TIME TO DO ALL OF THE ADVERTISING FOR YOUR EVENT, AND SO YOU DON'T USE ALL THE FANS, AND THAT LEAVES A FUND BALANCE ON OUR BOOKS, WHICH GOES BACK TO US, BUT WE WOULD HAVE GLADLY GIVEN IT TO SOMEONE ELSE WHEN WE HAVE SO MANY REQUESTS, SO. JUST A VIDEO OF YOU KNOW, BETWEEN NOW AND THE END, UM.

BEFORE WE NEED TO PUT OUR AGENDA OUT FOR NEXT MONTH. PLEASE LET US KNOW SO THAT WE CAN TAKE THAT IN CONSIDERATION. I REALLY APPRECIATE THAT. YOU DID THAT. SO THAT HELPS US GIVE MONEY TO OTHERS. WHEN WE HAVE SUCH A TIGHT BUDGET ON THIS GO AROUND, AND I DO HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU. WHAT IS ON YOUR SHOULDER? THIS IS THIS IS CHRISTMAS VACATION CHRISTMAS TREE WITH THE

[01:15:02]

SQUIRREL THAT WAS IN THE TREE, SO IT'S A SQUIRREL. ALRIGHT I KNOW I'M NOT LOVED IT. I WISH I HAD BEEN A LITTLE BIT MORE FESTIVE, BUT YOU DID IT FOR ALL OF THIS STUFF. THANK YOU. YES I DEFINITELY DIDN'T HAVE FOR EVERYONE. YEAH ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? WE'LL JUST ECHO JACKIE'S COMMENTS, AND I THINK I'LL REPRESENT RICK, WHO OFTEN SAYS THIS AS WELL. I APPRECIATE THE MAJORITY OF OUR, UM. REQUEST TODAY. DO NOT ASK FOR THE MAXIMUM AND ARE VERY THOUGHTFUL ABOUT EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED. AND DON'T ASK FOR THE MAXIMUM FOR THE SAKE OF ASKING FOR THE MAXIMUM, AND THAT'S THAT'S. I APPRECIATE THAT, AND IT SHOWS THOUGHTFUL CONSIDERATION OF HOW WE'RE GOING TO USE THESE DOLLARS. SO THANK YOU. THANK YOU. NEXT ITEM. 21-1128 CONSIDER

[Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (PC 22-07) in the Amount of $9,500 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2021 Empty Bowls Event.]

DISCUSSED PROMOTIONAL COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY ST PETER'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH. PCF $9500 FOR THE ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE 2021 EMPTY BOWLS EVENT. WE HAVE MISSED TAMMY. OKAY AND CORRECTION. IT IS 2022 EMPTY BOWLS BENT. HI I'M TAMMY SNIDELY AND I WAS JUST TALKING TO HER ABOUT THIS YELLOW SHOULD NOT BE UP THERE AND I HAD A DISC. I SAID COULD I USE MY DISK AND WE COULD HAVE A PRESENTATION THAT DOESN'T HAVE BRIGHT YELLOW, BUTO GO WITH IT ANYWAY. UM SO ANYWAY EMPTY BALLS. MCKINNEY IS AN ANNUAL EVENT THAT HAPPENS WHERE OUR ATTENDEES COME AND SAMPLE SOUPS AND SWEETS AND THEY GET TO TAKE HOME A HANDCRAFTED BOWL MADE BY A LOCAL ARTIST, AND ALL OF THE PROCEEDS GO TO FIGHT HUNGER. THIS WILL BE OUR 11TH EVENT IN MCKINNEY FIGHTING HUNGER ONE BOWL AT A TIME. SO AGAIN. I APOLOGIZE FOR THE BRIGHT YELLOW. WE ARE REQUESTING $9500. THIS IS 95% OF OUR ADVERTISING BUDGET. WE WILL SPEND THIS MONEY ON ONLINE ADS. PRINT ADS, YARD SIGNS, BANNERS, POSTERS, CARDS, BILLBOARDS AND VIDEOS. LAST YEAR WE LEARNED DURING THE PANDEMIC THAT HANDHELD CARDS WE DIDN'T HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PASS THEM OUT LIKE WE NORMALLY DID. WE JUST DIDN'T HAVE SO MANY FACE TO FACE OPPORTUNITIES. WE ALSO LEARNED THAT OUR SOCIAL MEDIA BUDGET AND WE DIDN'T END UP SPENDING IT THE WAY WE HAD BUDGETED FOR IT. WE CHANGED OUR FOCUS AND WE WENT WITH MORE MONEY SPENT AT COMMUNITY IMPACT. WE LEARNED THAT THAT REALLY HELPED US TO PROVIDE TARGETED AND TIMELY ADS LEADING UP TO THE EVENT. ANOTHER THING WE LEARNED FROM 2021 WAS THAT OUR YOUTUBE VIDEOS IF WE PUT OUR YOUTUBE VIDEOS UP ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA AND PROMOTED THOSE ADS THAT REALLY BOOSTED OUR ONLINE ENGAGEMENT. ANOTHER INTERESTING FACT FROM 2021 WAS YARD SIGNS MORE PEOPLE WANTED YARD SIGNS THAN EVER BEFORE. IN 2021. SO HERE'S SORRY ABOUT THAT. HERE'S SOME SAMPLES IS WHAT I'M GOING TO GO BACK TO OF OUR BANNER ADS WITH COMMUNITY IMPACT THAT WENT OUT ON THE EMAILS. AND HERE'S THE PRINT AD THAT WENT OUT AND COMMUNITY IMPACTS NEWSLETTER. THIS IS THE EXAMPLE OF SOCIAL MEDIA WHERE WE HAD ON THE LEFT. THERE'S NO VIDEO AND ON THE RIGHT. WE HAD A YOUTUBE VIDEO. YOU CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT WERE REACHED WITHOUT THE VIDEO. WE HAD 1000 PEOPLE REACHED JUST OVER AND WITH THE VIDEO WE HAD OVER 7200 ALMOST 7300 PEOPLE REACHED WITH 575 ENGAGEMENTS. WITHOUT THE VIDEO ONLY 77 ENGAGEMENTS. AT THIS SHOULD HAVE A PICTURE RIGHT HERE BUT DOESN'T OF OUR YARD SIGNS WE ENDED UP HAVING TO ORDER MORE YARD SIGNS. IN 2021. THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO HAVE A SOLD OUT EVENT. WELL OF COURSE, THAT WAS BECAUSE WE LIMITED OUR TICKET SALES, BUT IT WAS REALLY COOL TO GET TO SAY THAT WE HAD 27% OF OUR ATTENDEES BASED OFF OF ZIP CODES WERE FROM OUTSIDE OF THE CITY OF MAKENI. WE EXPECT . WE'RE HOPEFUL. OUR GOAL THIS YEAR IS TO BRING 1000 PEOPLE TO DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY AND WE EXPECT OUR VISITOR PERCENTAGE TO BE THAT, IF NOT HIGHER. LAST YEAR BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC. WE MOVED ALL OF OUR FOOD VENDORS OUTSIDE ALONG WITH OUR AUCTION TENT IS ALWAYS OUTSIDE. UM EVERYONE LOVED IT. WE HAD SUCH POSITIVE FEEDBACK WITH THE FOOD BEING OUTSIDE. WE'RE DEFINITELY GOING TO KEEP IT THAT WAY AGAIN FOR 2022. FOR OUR BUDGET. WE ARE LOOKING AT AN INCOME OF OVER $92,000. WE WILL SPEND JUST UNDER $40,000 ON THIS EVENT, WHICH LEAVES US WITH A NET INCOME OF 52,720. 80% OF THAT WILL GO TO OUR COMMUNITY LIFELINE CENTER OR PRIMARY BENEFICIARY OR SECONDARY BENEFICIARY IS COMMUNITY GARDEN KITCHEN AND THEY WILL RECEIVE 20% WE HOPE THAT YOU ALL WILL JOIN US IN 2022 ON MAY 12TH TO FIGHT HUNGER, ONE GOAL AT A TIME AGAIN. WHAT ARE YOU ANTICIPATING ? INCREASING YOUR NUMBERS TO THIS UPCOMING YEAR WERE HELPFUL FOR 1000 PEOPLE. SO YOU'RE NOT LIMITING TICKET SALES LIMITING THEM AT 1000 YOUR LET ME OKAY.

[01:20:09]

AND IT WAS THAT YOUR PREVIOUS LIMIT IN 2019. WE DIDN'T REACH OUR MAXIMUM IN 2019. WE DID HAVE 250, RIGHT, BUT YOUR MAXIMUM WAS 1000. SO YOU'RE GOING BACK TO PRE PANDEMIC. EVENT HONESTLY, ANSWER FOR YOU. YOU'LL KNOW THAT I'M FILLING IN BIG SHOES. THIS IS JAMIE ST CLAIR'S EVENT FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS, AND EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN VOLUNTEERING THERE FOR THE LAST SEVEN YEARS, I DIDN'T KNOW THE NUMBERS NITTY GRITTY BACK THEN. I'M GUESSING IT HAD TO BE CLOSE TO 1000. UM WAS PROBABLY WHAT OUR LIMIT WAS THEN, OKAY? AND NOW WE LIVE IN TEXAS. YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A CONTINGENCY PLAN FOR WHETHER SINCE YOU'RE MOVING OUTSIDE, RIGHT, SO WE'RE GOING TO BE RAIN OR SHINE. UM AS JAMIE USED TO SAY HUNGER DOESN'T STOP WITH THE WEATHER, AND NEITHER DO WE. I APPRECIATE YOU MENTIONING MOVING IT OUTSIDE BECAUSE I WILL SAY THIS LAST YEAR'S EVENT IT WAS AND I KNOW FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING PURPOSES. IT WORKED OUT NICELY, BUT IT WAS REALLY NICE. I THINK IT WAS A LITTLE OVERCAST AND RAINY, BUT AT THE SAME TIME YOU CAN MAKE YOUR WAY AROUND. YOU CAN SIT DOWN AND ENJOY THE WEATHER AND OUR JOY BEING OUTSIDE. AND DIDN'T FEEL LIKE YOU WERE CRAMMED INTO THE SPACE . NOT THAT YOU KNOW, EITHER ONE WOULD WORK. BUT I WILL SAY I'VE I'VE LOVED THIS EVENT EACH TIME, AND THIS ISN'T REALLY A QUESTION BUT A COMMENT. BUT I HAD TO CREATE AN ENTIRE SHELF IN MY KITCHEN NOW FOR ALL OF MY BOWLS , AND THAT'S OUR GO TO BOWL BECAUSE WE ALWAYS PICK THE SAME KIND. AND IT'S THE REALLY DEEP ONE BECAUSE IT FEELS LOTS OF ICE CREAM FITS IN THE BALL. SO I HAVE APPRECIATED THOUGH, FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS, NOT JUST THAT , BUT I DID LIKE THE OUTSIDE, SO THANK YOU FOR THE FEEDBACK WAS POSITIVE. AND JUST THANK YOU AS WELL FOR THE DILIGENCE THAT YOUR TEAM DOES IN SCOUTING OUT AND SECURING MAJOR SPONSORS EACH YEAR BECAUSE THAT THAT PROVIDES A HUGE LIFT FOR UNDERWRITING YOUR TOTAL EXPENSES. HAVE YOU HAVE YOU APPLIED A PLAN TO THE PLAN FOR ANY OTHER FUNDING? OR IS THIS YOUR SOUL? THIS IS OUR SOLE GRANT. WE HAVE LOTS OF SPONSORS. WE ALREADY HAVE COMMITMENTS FROM BLOUNT. WIDE FOODS. OF COURSE, THERE ARE TITLE SPONSOR FROM GLOBAL LIFE THEY'RE PRESENTING SPONSOR. WE ALREADY HAVE HAD MONEY THAT'S COME IN FROM LOVE LIFE WE HAVE THE ALLIANCE HAS COMMITTED FOR NEXT YEAR DEV SOL HOLDINGS TO HAS ALREADY GIVEN US MONEY FOR NEXT YEAR. UM THE LIST STRANDS SEMINI AND HER HUSBAND, DEAN, AND THEY HAVE A MICROSOFT MATCH . THAT HELPS, TOO, SO WE DEFINITELY HAVE A LARGE NUMBER OF SPONSORS THAT HAVE COME BACK HERE AND YEAR AFTER YEAR. AND I WOULD JUST SAY ALSO JUST KUDOS TO I DON'T KNOW. WHAT DO YOU CALL THE PEOPLE? THEY SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE THE POTTER'S PARTNERS. I WAS ABLE TO THIS PAST YEAR. HAVE A. POTTER POTTERY, AND IT WAS TOLD ABOUT IT WASN'T IT WASN'T IT WAS A PLATTER. IT WASN'T JUST A BOWL PLAYER. UM BUT I WAS SO SCARED. ANAKIN TEAR UP SOME STUFF IT OUT SO SCARED CLAY AND THINKING I'M GOING TO MISS IT UP, BUT THE PATIENTS THAT THEY HAVE WITH THE INDIVIDUALS THAT MAKE THEM AND.

PROBABLY SAY GEORGES OUT THERE HE IS, WAS NOT VERY PRETTY, BUT, UH, I MEAN, THAT TAKES A LOT OF TIME FOR THEM TO WORK WITH. THE DIFFERENT FEATURES ARTISTS THAT ARE DOING IT, SO JUST THANK YOU FOR THAT PARTNERSHIP OF EXPOSED BECAUSE I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW SOME OF THESE POTTERING, UM, BUSINESSES WHERE THEY WERE. BUT I THINK IT IS A GREAT PARTNERSHIP THAT WE HAVE EXPOSING INDIVIDUALS TO CRAFT OPPORTUNITIES IN POTTERY. THANK YOU. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? THANK YOU SO MUCH. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT. HAPPY HOLIDAYS. NEXT ITEM 21-1129 CONSIDERED

[Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by DFW Series (PC 22-08) in the Amount of $3,000 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion the 2022 DFW Series to include 17 off-road cycling events hosted at Erwin Park in McKinney.]

DISCUSSED PROMOTIONAL COMMUNITY EVENT GRANT APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED BY DFW SERIES PC. TWO.

TODAY EIGHT IN THE AMOUNT OF $3000 FOR THE ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF 2022.

DFW SERIES TO INCLUDE 17 OFF ROAD CYCLING EVENTS HOSTED IT URBAN PARK IN MCKINNEY. GOOD MORNING. UM I GUESS EVERYBODY HEAR ME PRETTY WELL. SO MY NAME IS SEAN MCAFEE. I RUN THE DFW SERIES. WE HAVE BEEN OPERATING THESE CENTS 2000 AND 13 AT IRWIN PARK AND MCKINNEY. UM WE HAVE.

YOU KNOW, WE'VE ALWAYS BEEN AN INCLUSIVE, SAFE PLACE FOR KIDS AND ADULTS, BOTH TO COME OUT AND PARTICIPATE. WE'VE GOT A YOU KNOW, A GREAT PARK OUT AT IRWIN PARK. WE'VE HAD TREMENDOUS DEVELOPMENT WITH RYAN AND THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT AS WELL AS. THE LOCAL TRAIL

[01:25:01]

STEWARDS FROM THE DALLAS OFF ROAD BICYCLE ASSOCIATION. IT HAS BECOME ONE OF THE PRIMARY PLACES TO GO RIDE A BIKE HERE IN DALLAS , AND IT'S GOING TO CONTINUE TO GROW THAT WAY. SINCE 2013. WE HAVE BEEN PUTTING THESE RACES TOGETHER, HELPING TO PROMOTE. THE CITY OF MCKINNEY AS A BIKING DESTINATION. UM WE, MY WIFE AND I WE STARTED THIS AND WE HAVE FUNDED THIS EVER SINCE 2013. TO KIND OF BRING UP, YOU KNOW, DIFFERENT FUNDING AND EVERYTHING LIKE THAT. IT'S ALL BEEN FUNDED BY US SPECIFICALLY. I FOUND OUT I THINK A WEEK BEFORE THE DEADLINE ABOUT THE DONATION PROCESS OR THE GRANT PROCESS, AND SO THIS IS ALL KIND OF COME TOGETHER SINCE THEN, SO I APPRECIATE LINDA'S HELP WITH WITH KIND OF MAKING ALL THIS HAPPEN IN A SHORT TIMELINE. UM, WE ARE. WE'VE HAD LAST YEAR IN 2021, OR THIS YEAR WE'VE HAD OUR BIGGEST ATTENDANCE EVER. WE HAD ROUGHLY 200 ATTENDEES EVERY WEEK AT IRWIN PARK EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT. THESE ARE WEEKNIGHT RACES . WE DEVELOPED A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NORTH TEXAS NIGHT CLUB , WHICH IS A HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL IN INTERSCHOLASTIC. UM LEAGUE PARTICIPATES ALL ACROSS TEXAS.

WE HAVE ALSO GIVEN BACK QUITE A BIT OF FUNDING TO THE TRAILERS THEMSELVES, BOTH THROUGH EQUIPMENT DONATIONS AS WELL AS OUR OWN VOLUNTEER HOURS, UM, SPECIFICALLY WITH WITH OUR YOUTH RACING PROGRAM. THAT'S ONE OF THE BIG THINGS THAT WE'RE TRYING TO PROMOTE THIS NEXT YEAR. WE OFFER EVERY KID UNDER THE AGE OF 13 FREE INJURY. IT'S PAID FOR BY, YOU KNOW. OURSELVES ESSENTIALLY AND THE REVENUE WE RAISE OFF OF THE ADULTS RACING. AND WE'RE ABLE TO DO THAT. WE'VE DONE THAT FOR ABOUT THREE YEARS NOW, AND IT HELPS TO GROW OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS AND HELPS KIND OF AS A WAY TO GET KIDS INVOLVED AT A YOUNGER AGE.

SO SPECIFICALLY, WE HAVE GOT 17 EVENTS THAT ARE GOING TO BE AT IRWIN PARKING MCKINNEY THE SUMMER SERIES, THE WINTER SERIES , WHICH IS A NEW ONE. WE'VE WE HAVE THAT STARTING UP ON JANUARY 20TH. AND THEN WE DO THE RAY PORTER MEMORIAL. IT'S A CANCER BENEFIT THAT GOES BACK TO A LOCAL MCKINNEY, FIVE OH ONE C THREE BIG PIG CANCER FOUNDATION. AND THEY GIVE ALL OF THOSE FUNDS BACK TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY MEMBERS. SO UM, SPECIFICALLY, THOSE ARE THE EVENTS THAT WE HAVE GOT COMING UP THIS YEAR IN 2000 AND 22. 84% OF ALL OF OUR ATTENDEES ARE FROM OUTSIDE OF THE CITY OF MCKINNEY. THAT'S BRINGING OUTSIDE TAX DOLLARS IN REVENUE BACK INTO OUR INTO THE CITY HERE. THESE HAPPEN ON WEEKNIGHTS. IT'S THURSDAY NIGHT , SO KIDS ARE COMING DIRECTLY FROM SCHOOL. YOU KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO BE COMING THERE. PROBABLY GONNA HAVE TO EAT SOMEPLACE, YOU KNOW, SO OBVIOUSLY THERE'S GOING TO COME BACK TO MCKINNEY. TIME IS UP. I WILL TURN IT OVER TO YOU GUYS WORK ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE? MOST OF THE PARTICIPANTS YOU SAID THAT ARE THERE OUTSIDE. ARE THEY COMING IN FROM THE DFW AREA OR SOME OF THEM DRIVING IN A LITTLE BIT FURTHER GREAT QUESTIONS. SO IT'S A MIX PRIMARILY IT IS FOR YOU KNOW THE DALLAS AREA WE DO.

WE'VE GOT PEOPLE AS AS FAR SOUTH AS LIKELY BURN. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT HAVE COME UP ON A WEEKLY BASIS TO RACE. WE'VE ALSO GOT PEOPLE FROM UP IN OKLAHOMA WHO HAVE COME DOWN SOUTH TO COME RACE HERE AS WELL. SO WE ARE ATTRACTING A PRETTY DIVERSE AUDIENCE. AND YOU'RE RIGHT. THEY GOT TO FEED THE KIDS AFTER AFTER THE EVENT AFTER THEY BURNED ALL THOSE CALORIES. AND I UNDERSTOOD YOU TO SAY THAT IT'S YOU AND YOUR WIFE. YOU'VE DONE THIS PREVIOUSLY JUST ON YOUR OWN. SO WE STARTED THIS IN 2013. I HAD DONE SOME OTHER CYCLING RACES THAT WE'RE IN DOWNTOWN DALLAS.

AND SAID, YOU KNOW, I THINK WE SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR MOUNTAIN BIKING. AND SO WE STARTED. YOU KNOW, I HAD A LITTLE TWO DOOR HONDA CIVIC. IT WAS LOADED UP WITH ALL SORTS OF EQUIPMENT, PULLING UP TO IRWIN PARK EVERY WEEK AND. WE'VE WE'VE GROWN EVER SINCE AND TRIED TO JUST, YOU KNOW, MAKE IT A HUGE COMMUNITY EVENT. UM. PARDON WITH A LOT OF NONPROFITS HERE LOCALLY THAT THEY'RE HELPING TO SUPPORT THIS AS WELL. SO LET'S RESPECT FOR THAT. WHEN YOU WHEN THEY COME IN TO DO THIS, AND I'M CURIOUS, BECAUSE I KEEP THINKING ABOUT YOU KNOW HOW IT HOW IT GETS PEOPLE HERE AND SALES TAX DOLLARS TO MCKINNEY. BUT DID THEY GET ANY KIND OF LIKE, UM.

BAG OR SOMETHING WHERE YOU COULD INCLUDE INFORMATION ABOUT OUR, YOU KNOW. STAY IN MCKINN AND FEED YOUR KIDS HERE OR SOMETHING . I MEAN, IT'S A TERRIBLE WAY TO SAY IT, BUT EAT HERE, RIGHT? THAT'S A GREAT QUESTION, AND WE HAVE NEVER HAD A. CALL IT, YOU KNOW, A GIFT BAG OR SOMETHING THAT'S GIVEN OUT. I WILL SAY THAT'S SOMETHING WE WERE LOOKING AT FOR THIS YEAR WITH SPECIFICALLY FOR THE JUNIORS PROGRAM SO THAT YOU KNOW, LIKE A COLORING BOOK OR AN ACTIVITY BOOK OF SOME SORT, SOMETHING THAT YOU KNOW. GIVES THEM SOMETHING TO DO AND REMEMBER THE EVENT, SO WE IT'S SOMETHING TO CONSIDER FOR SURE. CAN YOU JUST TALK A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT IRWIN PARK AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE AS A BIKING DESTINATION? IT SEEMS TO ME AND I DON'T KNOW IF RYAN WANTS TO CHIME IN ON THIS AS WELL, BUT IT SEEMS TO ME LIKG DEAL IN THE BIKING ARENA WORLD

[01:30:07]

AND THAT'S NEWS TO ME. I'M AWARE THAT DOOR BUT DOES A LOT OF WORK OUT THERE MAINTAIN THE TRAILS AND STUFF, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE WE KIND OF HAVE A. HIDDEN GEM THAT PEOPLE MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT 100% SO YOU KNOW THE CITY OF MCKINNEY . IT'S THE TAGLINE IS UNIQUE BY NATURE. AND I THINK THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IRWIN PARK IS, UM. FOR ANYBODY WHO HASN'T BEEN OUT THERE RECENTLY. THERE IS A THEY'VE GOT A NEW JUMP LINE AND THE HUB THEY HAVE BUILT. IT IS IMPRESSIVE. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE IN ALL OF DALLAS FORT WORTH . IT IS ANYTHING LIKE IT. IT'S SPECIFICALLY ORIENTED TO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GO JUMP THEIR BIKES AND GRAVITY RIDERS. BUT THE REST OF THE PARK ITSELF HAS, YOU KNOW IT'S A NINE MILE CROSS COUNTRY, UH, LOOP AND WELL MAINTAINED, PROBABLY BETTER MAINTAINED THAN IN THE OTHER TRAIL IN THE METROPLEX. UM AND IT HAS DEFINITELY BECOME ONE OF THE PREMIER PLACES TO GO FOR LOCALS. RATHER THAN DRIVING 3 TO 4 HOURS TO BENTONVILLE. YOU KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO STAY HERE. GO AHEAD. JUST ADD ONTO THAT THE POPULARITY OF ERWIN PARK SO I HAD OUR TRAFFIC ENGINEERING TO A TRAFFIC STUDY OUT THERE 800 CARS A DAY IN NOVEMBER, I THINK WAS IN MAY HAVE BEEN 2020 MINUTES. JUST LAST YEAR. WE DID THAT. DRUGS THAT KIND OF BLEW US AWAY THAT THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING IN AND OUT OF THAT PART. MM HMM . TONS OF PEOPLE GO OUT THERE FOR ALL KINDS OF ACTIVITIES, JUST A HIKE TO MOUNTAIN BIKE TO CAMP JUST TO HAVE SOME OPEN SPACE TO FEEL LIKE THEY'RE AWAY FROM THE CITY. UM YOU KNOW, ALTHOUGH THE CITY IS ENCROACHING CLOSELY ON IRWIN PARK, WE STILL WANT TO PROTECT THAT, AND IT'S BEING NATURAL AS IT IS. I WOULD.

I WOULD DARE TO SAY THAT THESE FAMILIES AND KIDS COMING OUT FOR THESE EVENTS. THIS ISN'T ONE TIME TRIP WHERE THEY COME OUT THURSDAY AFTER THURSDAY FOR THEIR EVENT, THEY'RE COMING OUT OTHER TIMES. TO MOUNTAIN BIKE TO PRACTICE TO GET GET THE LAY OF THE LAND. UNDERSTAND WHAT IT'S LIKE, SO ESSENTIALLY TO ONE STOP . THEY'RE COMING OUT HERE FOR THIS EVENT AND THEN LEAVING.

THEY'RE COMING HERE MULTIPLE TIMES TO RIDE THIS TRAIL. I ACTUALLY LIVE NEAR ORAN PARK IN AN AMAZING ALL THE TRUCKS I SEE AND VEHICLES WITH BIKE STRAPPED TO THE BACK OF THEM GOING OUT THERE. WHAT I USED TO SEEING 34 CARS ON THOSE BACK ROADS, I'M SAYING 50 CARS NOW. PEOPLE, OF COURSE, ESCAPE SOME OF THE TRAFFIC AT 3 80, BUT I SEE BANKS BANKS ALL THE TIME OUT THERE. I KNOW THAT FORMER PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH HAS BEEN OUT THERE MOUNTAIN BIKING. WE DON'T KNOW UNTIL AFTERWARDS THAT HE'S BEEN OUT THERE. BUT AS YOU MENTIONED BEEN, BARKIN SAW HERB OF MOUNTAIN BIKERS. WE HAVE PEOPLE LEAVING. THEY'RE COMING HERE TO CHECK THIS OUT. SO IT IS A HIDDEN GEM THAT WE'RE VERY PROUD OF. AND SOME OF THE IMPROVEMENTS. WE'RE GOING TO BE PUTTING OUT THERE'S TWO BATH HOUSES, NEW RESTROOM FACILITY AND A DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, SO WE'RE STARTING TO PUT SOME MORE INTO URBAN PART BECAUSE OF THE TRAFFIC THAT IS OUT THERE. YOU CAN'T FIND A PARKING SPACE. SO FORTUNATELY, THEY JUST PARK ON THE GRASS WHEREVER THEY CAN. AND WE WENT ON THE PARK'S TOUR. I DID, AND I GOT TO SEE THAT HUB. THEY WERE STILL IN THE PROCESS OF FINISHING IT. THAT AND SAME THING, JUST EVEN FOR THE BEST WE WERE ON. I MEAN, THERE WASN'T REALLY A WHOLE LOT OF ROOM TO MOVE AROUND BECAUSE IT WAS. SO CROWDED WITH SKILLS COURSE THAT'S BEING BUILT OUT. THERE IS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING. SO THERE'S A THERE'S A CENTER HUB WHERE YOU START AND YOU'VE GOT E AND BEGINNER SIDE TO IT, SO PEOPLE WILL SKILL LEVELS CAN PRACTICE. THERE'S ALSO BAILOUT IN CASE YOU DON'T WANT TO HIT THAT JUMP. YOU JUST KIND OF GO AROUND IT. WHICH HAPPENS FROM TIME TO TIME, BUT IT ALL CONVERGES DOWN AT THE BOTTOM TO ANOTHER LONG HARD THEY COME BACK AND TRY IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AGAIN . IT'S GETTING A LOT OF BUZZ OUR VOLUNTEER EFFORTS TO DOOR BUT THEY'RE TOTALLY BUILDING IT. WE'VE PROVIDED MISCELLANEOUS STUFF HERE AND THERE. I THINK WE PROVIDED SOME FUNDING FOR SOME FENCING MATERIALS THAT THEY HAD PUT UP. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, THIS IS ALL VOLUNTEER BASED ORGANIZATIONS LIKE SHAWN'S HERE.

HAVE ACTUALLY HELPED PROVIDE DOOR BOAT WITH SOME NECESSARY EQUIPMENT. I THINK IT WAS A MORE THAT WAS IN THE PRESENTATION. THAT'S GREAT, SO WE LOVE TO SEE THE ACTIVITIES GOING ON OUT THERE ANY TIME I HAVE SOMEONE COMING TO ME ABOUT AN EVENT AT IRWIN PARK IF YOU CHECK WITH YOUR BODY. THEY MAINTAIN THE TRAILS IF THEY'RE KIND OF THUMBS UP, THUMBS UP, TWO THUMBS DOWN.

I'M THUMBS DOWN BECAUSE. I WANT TO PUT IT ON DO BURDEN ON A GROUP THAT IS OUT THERE, VOLUNTEERING THEIR EFFORTS TO MAINTAIN THAT TRAIL SO I LET THEM SAY. THANK YOU POWER. YEAH I TOLD THEM WHEN WE DID THE PARKS TOUR THAT I NEEDED TO BE ON LIKE THE BEGINNERS WITH TRAINING WHEELS BECAUSE IT WAS SO IMPRESSIVE AND I WAS JUST IN AWE AND AGAIN, THE VOLUNTEERISM.

IS JUST. I MEAN, IT JUST GOES BEYOND WHAT WE THINK ABOUT WHEN PEOPLE THIS IS THEIR PASSION, SO FOR THEM, IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE WORK AT THIS PART OF THEIR PASSION OF WHAT THEY WHAT THEY DO. AND IT'S REALLY GREAT TO SEE THAT SORT OF ACTIVITY, FAMILY INVOLVEMENT AND HAVE THE

[01:35:04]

COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVES WITH THE PARKS IN LOOKING AT YOUR BUDGET, AND YOU KNOW WHAT IT COSTS TO KEEP ALL THIS GOING. IT LOOKS LIKE ONE OF YOUR MAJOR LINE ITEMS IS INSURANCE, AND THAT'S GOT TO BE A HEFTY ONE. LOOKS LIKE IT'S GOING UP. YEP 2022 WHAT KIND OF EFFORTS ARE YOU AND OR YOUR BOARD LOOKING AT TO HELP UNDERWRITE SOME OF THOSE COSTS BECAUSE THAT IS A BIG CHUNK OF YOUR ANNUAL. COSTS SURE , SO AT THE MOMENT, EVERYTHING IS FUNDED BY THE ADULT RACERS.

UM, YOU KNOW, LIKE WE. UHH I'M ONE OF THE GUYS THAT I'M BETTER WITH A SHOVEL AND FLINGING DIRT OUT THERE THEN PERHAPS, YOU KNOW , GIVING A PRESENTATION HERE ON FINANCES AND BUDGET, BUT SPECIFICALLY, LIKE YOU KNOW, THE INSURANCE AND ALL OF OUR OTHER EXPENSES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BEEN PAID FOR THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN ATTENDANCE. SO. AND I SEE YOUR BUDGET OR YOUR LINE ITEMS FOR MARKETING OR THE SAME AS. THE TRIATHLON, SO I'M ASSUMING APPLIED PLAY TRIAL, SO. KIND OF INFLUENCE. DO YOU KNOW THIS IS SO SPECIFICALLY OUR MARKETING IS ALL OF THAT'S GOING TO BE USED FOR SPECIFICALLY SIGNAGE AT THE EVENTS AND THEN ALSO FOR DIRECT MAIL ADVERTISING. SO WE HAVE A LIST OF 500 PAST PARTICIPANTS. THEY WERE GOING TO GET NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT THE UPCOMING WINTER SERIES HERE PRETTY SOON. THEY'LL ALSO RECEIVE MAILED NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT THE SUMMER SERIES, TWO OF THOSE ACTUALLY AS WELL AS ONE FOR THE RAY PORTER MEMORIAL. YAHOO IS BAD ON ME. I PULLED UP THE WRONG ONE WHEN I WAS LOOKING AT THAT. SORRY, THAT'S OK. OKAY. THANK YOU. THE OTHER QUESTION. THANK YOU SO MUCH. NEXT ITEM, 21-1130 CONSIDER DISCUSSED PROMOTIONAL

[Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship (PC #22-09) in the Amount of $10,000 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2022 ManeGait Country Fair.]

COMMUNITY EVENT GRANT APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED BY MAIN GATE THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP.

PC 22-9 IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000 FOR THE ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE 2022 MAIN GATE COUNTRY FAIR. THANK YOU FOR HAVING US. I'M DANA HAMMOND. AND THIS IS MEGAN HAMLIN WITH MEN GET THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP, AND WE'RE REQUESTING $10,000 TO SUPPORT THE PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE 2022. MEN GET COUNTRY FAIR. AND THE PURPOSE OF THIS EVENT IS TO BE MORAL. IT'S AN OPEN HOUSE FOR THE COMMUNITY TO COME TO MAIN GATE INTO MCKENNEY AND TO ENJOY THE TRULY UNIQUE BEAUTY AND FUN OF OUR FACILITY. TO RAISE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM A NEEDS PROGRAMS, WHICH IMPROVES THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES AND TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR BEING GAY AS A COMMUNITY CENTER IN OUR AREA. THIS IS THE FIFTH YEAR FOR THIS EVENT, AND, UM, WE ARE. WE RANGED BETWEEN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS BETWEEN 1500 TO 1900 ATTENDEES AND THROUGH ONLINE SALES. WE HAVE DEDUCTED OR PRODUCE THAT 68% OF THOSE ARE FROM OUTSIDE MCKINNEY ZIP CODES. WE IN THE NET PROCEEDS, WHICH IS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR US, BECAUSE 100% OF THOSE GO BACK TO OUR MISSION, UM, RANGE BETWEEN 60 TO 65,000. BUT WE ARE REALLY CHALLENGING OURSELVES THAT WE BELIEVE WE CAN RAISE THAT BY 50% BOTH IN ATTENDANCE AND PROCEEDS.

TO DO THAT. WE'VE PUT TOGETHER A COMMITTEE AND WE'VE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH AND LEARNING ABOUT BEST PRACTICES AND OUR GOALS TO ACHIEVE THIS NEW. NEW AT THAT REVENUE AND ATTENDANCE IS TO INCREASE THE HIGHER LEVEL SPONSORSHIPS AND WE FEEL LIKE SOME THROUGH FEEDBACK. WE'VE LEARNED THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO MATURE OUR EVENT TO HAVE MORE ACTIVITIES FOR ADULTS POTENTIALLY FOCUS ON ENTERTAINMENT. STRENGTHEN OUR PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES AND VENDORS TO HELP OFFSET SOME OF THE COSTS AND EFFORTS AND TO EXPLORE OTHER REVENUE OPTIONS. SO JUST IN THE LAST WEEK SINCE WE SUBMITTED OUR APPLICATION, WE'VE COME UP WITH A. POTENTIAL PROPOSED NAME, AND SO THIS IS THE NEW COUNTRY FAIR. WE'RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS MAIN GATE LIVE ENTERTAINMENT FAMILY FUN. THE IDEA BEHIND THIS IS BEFORE WITH COUNTRY FAIR WHEN PEOPLE SEE THE ADVERTISEMENTS AND MARKETING THEY GO. OH, THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN. WE SHOULD GO.

THIS PROCESS MAKES US GO. WHOA THAT'S AWESOME. LET'S NOT MISS THIS EVENT AND IN SPREADING THAT YOU CAN GO TO THE NEXT ONE, MAKING MORE OPPORTUNITIES OUT THERE FOR THE YOUNG ADULTS AND ADULTS BECAUSE A LOT OF IT WAS FAMILY KIDS FOCUS, SO ADDING LIVE MUSIC, A POTENTIAL HEADLINER THAT CAN COME OUT AND PERFORM. CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT VIP PACKAGE HAVING THOSE PUB STYLE GAMES, SO AS A AS A PARENT MYSELF, I LOOK AND GO. OH, THERE'S MULTIPLE THINGS I CAN DO SOMETHING FUN, AND SO CAN MY CHILDREN. AND THEN THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART FOR THIS ENTIRE EVENT FOR US IS OUR MARKETING. THIS IS BROKEN DOWN WHERE THAT 10,000 WOULD GO TO

[01:40:02]

THE BILLBOARDS, WHICH IS AWESOME , BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THAT 3 80 HAS A LOT OF TRAFFIC THAT GOES BACK AND FORTH. THAT'S A LOT OF EYEBALLS FOR US ONLINE IS SOMETHING WE'VE ALWAYS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL ACT ARE PRINT PROMOTIONS ARE OUR SIGNAGE AND OUR FLAGS GETTING THAT OUT THERE WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES AND THEN OUR RADIO PROMOTIONS. SO WE'RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS. NO MORE DONE. QUESTIONS. SO YOUR GOAL YOU WOULD MENTION YOUR YOU GET ABOUT 1519 100 PARTICIPANTS . IS THAT YOUR GOAL FOR THIS YEAR AS WELL OR EXPANDING IT? DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HAVE THE CAPACITY FOR EVEN MORE? YES WE BELIEVE AT LEAST WITH THIS YEAR 4500 OR REALLY BEING MINDFUL OF THE ADDITIONAL COST THAT COMES WITH HOSTING TOO MANY PEOPLE AND ALSO TAKING AWAY FROM SOME OF THE EXPERIENCE FOR SOME OF THE PEOPLE. WE WANT TO KEEP IT VERY AFFORDABLE. UM AND WE'LL JUST SEE HOW IT GROWS. UM BUT WE THINK 222,500 WASN'T REALLY GOOD AT FIT FOR OUR FACILITY. HOW MUCH DOES THIS EVENT RAISED FOR MAIN GATE? WELL 65,000 THIS PAST YEAR AND WE REALLY WE WANT TO GET IT CLOSER TO 10,500 TO END AND. ULTIMATELY LEARN FROM THIS TO GET BETTER AND BETTER, MORE EFFICIENT AT CONDUCTING EVENTS THAT ARE FACILITY BECAUSE WE ALSO HOST SOMETIMES PICNICS FOR LIKE THE BIRDS. LAW TECHNIQUE WAS AT OUR FACILITY, AND WE'RE JUST CONTINUING TO BECOME BETTER AT THAT SO THAT WE CAN OPEN IT TO MORE PEOPLE TO TAKE PART. AND WHAT PERCENTAGE OF YOUR MARKETING BUDGET IS. I'M SORRY IF YOU WASN'T ON THERE. IT WAS ABOUT 9% 90, OKAY? THE OTHER FOUR. OKAY. THANK YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH. NEXT ITEM, 21-1131 CONSIDER DISCUSSED PROMOTIONAL

[Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by McKinney Chamber of Commerce (PC #22-10) in the Amount of $15,000 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2022 McKinney Made Initiative.]

COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATIONS TO ME TO BUY MCKINNEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. PC 22 DEATHS 10 IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 FOR THE ADVERTISING MARKETING PROMOTION OF 2022 MCKINNEY MADE INITIATIVE. AT A WHOLE CREW, KATHY MHM. THE TAPES. SO MY NAME IS KATHY BLANK AND VICE PRESIDENT OF MCKINNEY CHAMBER AND I'M GOING TO TALK ABOUT MCKINNEY MADE. WE ALL KNOW THE IMPACT OF COVID HOW WE HAD TO LEVERAGE TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION AND PARTNERSHIPS TO REALLY ACHIEVE WHAT WE NEEDED AND OUT OF THIS EFFORT. WE STARTED THE MCKINNEY RESTAURANT COUNCIL, THANKS TO JOY BOOTH AND HER IDEA. ONE OF THE INNOVATION DIDN'T INNOVATIVE THINGS WE'VE DONE AND OUT OF THE MCKINNEY RESTAURANT COUNCIL CAME MCKINNEY MADE MCKINNEY MADE IS ACTUALLY A PROMOTIONAL. IT'S A PROMOTIONAL PRODUCT IN AND OF ITSELF PROMOTING EVERYTHING MCKINNEY HAS TO OFFER FOCUSING ON RESTAURANTS, DINING, ENTERTAINMENT MUSICIANS, HOSPITALITY. IT'S BASICALLY A BY LOCAL CAMPAIGN THAT'S DONE DIGITALLY. SO IT'S SHOWCASING SOME OF OUR PARTNERSHIP. WE HAVE CEREAL HEAD MEDIA, THE CHAMBER, THE MCKINNEY RESTAURANT COUNCIL , THE TEXAS RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION, AS WELL AS LOCAL RESTAURANTS, MENUS AND SPECIAL THANKS TO MAYOR FULLER FOR HIS SUPPORT OF THE EVENT. WE HAD OUR INAUGURAL EVENT ON DECEMBER 9TH MCKINNEY MADE LIVESTREAM VIRTUAL FESTIVAL. WE'RE ASKING $15,000 TO CREATE THIS CAMPAIGN THROUGHOUT 2022 CONTINUE THIS MARKETING CAMPAIGN PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR MCKINNEY, AND I'D LIKE TO INTRODUCE CHAD HUGGINS IS GOING TO SHARE A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE RESULTS OF OUR. FIRST EVENT AND NEXT YEAR. SURE THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME AND THANK YOU. CATHY HAS BEEN AMAZING TO WORK WITH, AND I JUST WANT TO SAY WE'RE A SMALL CREATIVE SHOP IN SERIAL HEAD MEDIA. TAYLOR'S HERE FROM THE TEAM. WE'RE A BUNCH OF ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS THAT DON'T REALLY GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO STUFF LOCALLY. AND I WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE WE ACTUALLY WERE PITCHING THIS TO KEITH. IT TOPS AND HE'S SELFLESSLY SAID WHY DON'T WE DO THIS IN A WAY THAT BENEFITS THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY AND NOT JUST TOPS AND SETS? THAT'S HOW IT CAME TO BE. BUT. UM YEAH, IT WAS AN AMAZING FESTIVAL. IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT , IT'S ONLINE. YOU CAN VIEW IT ON 30 DIFFERENT FACEBOOK PAGES.

THAT'S ONE OF THE UNIQUE PARTS ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY ANGLE. WE USED THIS CROSS POSTING TOOL THAT FACEBOOK HAS DEVELOPED AND I'M TRYING TO SAY IT SAYS. I HELPED DEVELOP THE TOOL OF FACEBOOK DEVELOPED THIS TOOL I WAS YEARS AGO BROUGHT OUT TO THEIR HEADQUARTERS TO CONSULT ON THIS SPECIFIC USAGE OF IT. BUT I AM NOT AN ENGINEER. I DID NOT CREATE THE TOOL. THEY CREATED THAT TOOL. AND SO WE HAVE 30. DIFFERENT FACEBOOK PAGES THAT BROADCAST THIS SAME HOUR LONG PIECE OF ENTERTAINMENT. UM AND SO THAT'S ONE OF THE UNIQUE COMMUNITY ANGLES OF IT. ONE OF THE OTHER UNIQUE THINGS IS I'M WATCHING THESE GRANT PRESENTATIONS AND TAYLOR AND I ARE TEXTING AND SAY, MAN. WE NEED TO HIGHLIGHT THAT NEXT TIME WE NEED TO HIGHLIGHT THIS. IT'S A UNIQUELY COLLABORATIVE EFFORT FOR THE CITY AND AT THE END OF THE DAY, THE RESTAURANTS AND THE

[01:45:06]

BUSINESSES KEEP ALL OF THESE FILES IS COMPLETELY FREE TO THE PUBLIC. IS COMPLETELY FREE TO THEM AS WELL. AND REALLY THE THING ABOUT IT. IT'S PROMOTIONAL , BUT WE OUR MAIN THING IS THAT CAN'T FEEL PROMOTIONAL. IT NEEDS TO BE COMPELLING. AND SO WE LOOK FOR THE HIDDEN GEMS AS WE'VE GOT SOME OF THEM HERE THAT WE TELL THE STORIES. OF THEIR BUSINESSES , AND THEN ALSO, THE BIG PIECE OF IT IS WE, UM. WE GET SOME AMAZING MUSICIANS IN THERE AND SO NOT EVERY NOT EVERY EVENT WILL END WITH THE GUITAR SOLO FROM THE MAYOR. BUT THIS YEAR'S DID SO I CAN'T GUARANTEE THAT YOU KNOW EVERY TIME BUT YEP. THANK YOU. I GUESS I JUST NEED TO BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT THESE FANS ARE GOING FORWARD. SINCE THIS FIRST PRODUCTION IS ALREADY DONE. IS IT GOING TOWARDS PERMISSION OF FUTURE OR JUST PROMOTION OF THIS PARTICULAR? ONE THAT WE'VE ALREADY FILMED, SO WE JUST HAD OUR FIRST LIVE STREAM LAST THURSDAY, SO WE WANTED TO REALLY BUILD ON THE SUCCESS OF THAT WITH A YEAR LONG CAMPAIGN, SO WE REALLY HAVE FINALIZED OUR PLANS SO YOU'LL SEE IN THIS SHEET OF PAPER ON THE SECOND SIDE. WHAT OUR PLANS FOR SO WE ARE LOOKING AT MAKING THAT LIVESTREAM A ANNUAL EVENT, AN ANNUAL LIVESTREAM ONE HOUR FESTIVAL. WE DID A WATCH PARTY AT TUFTS. THIS YEAR. WE'RE GOING TO REALLY EXPAND ON THE LIVE OPPORTUNITY, SO WE'LL HAVE THE EVENT ON ALL OUR FACEBOOK PAGES LIVE AND HAVE IT LIVE STREAM. BUT I GOT TO GO TO TOPS AND MEET REMI ROGERS AND I GOT TO MEET RYAN BERG. I GOT TO, YOU KNOW, SEE, MATE, MALIAN, THE MAYOR THERE. WE GOT TO INTERACT WITH EVERYONE THERE. SO THAT WAS A REALLY COOL PART OF THE EVENT THAT WE WANT TO EXPAND. SPECIFICALLY THE $15,000. SO WE'RE GOING TO DO A QUARTERLY LEAD UP SO. EVERY QUARTER AND ON HERE YOU'LL SEE ON THE. UHH ON THE FIRST PAGE. THERE'LL BE THREE QUARTERLY EPISODES. SO WE'RE LOOKING AT APRIL AND THEN WE'RE LOOKING AT JUNE AND PROBABLY OCTOBER LEADING UP TO OUR ANNUAL EVENT. SO THAT EACH ONE OF THOSE WILL COST $15,000.

AND THEN WE WANT TO DO JUST MANY SEGMENTS EACH MONTH. SO THAT'S 5000 APIECE, AND BASICALLY THE EVENT IN AND OF ITSELF IS A PRODUCTION ABOUT MCKINNEY. YOU WILL GET A VIDEO CLIP. I JUST SENT IT TO LINDA. UH THIS MORNING FROM LAST EVENT, AND YOU COULD ALSO LOOK ON THE CDCS FACEBOOK PAGE AND WATCH THE HOUR LONG THING. IT'S AMAZING. BUT THE MINI CLIP WILL JUST GIVE YOU A LITTLE SNIPPET. BUT THE ENTIRE EVENT IN AND OF ITSELF IS A PROMOTION FOR MCKINNEY. SO I THINK THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE. AND THAT'S WHY I BROUGHT IN THE INNOVATIVE PIECE. IT'S DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER EVENT. IT'S A IT'S A PROMOTION FOR MCKINNEY AND THE UNIQUE THINGS WE HAVE HERE. AND IF YOU LOOK AT THE QUALITY OF THE ONE HOUR PRESENTATION AND THE SNIPPET, YOU JUST TAKE RICK'S PRESENTATION IN OF ITSELF. IT CAPTURED THE ESSENCE OF EVERYTHING RICK'S DOING. AND HE'S TALKING ABOUT DIGGING DEEP INTO MCKINNEY. WHY HE CAME TO MCKINNEY HE WAS, YOU CAN SEE HIS COMMENTS ABOUT WHAT HE FELT ABOUT BEING A PART OF IT. AND THEN I'VE GOT, YOU KNOW, TOPS AND STEVE TERRY HERE WITH CT. ONE OF OUR NEWER RESTAURANTS.

EVERYONE LOVES RUTH WERE CRYING DURING HER SEGMENT, BUT. YOU KNOW THEY CAN HELP SHARE THE IMPACT OF BEING A PART OF THIS AT NO COST TO THEMSELVES, BUT THE WHOLE GOAL IS PROMOTING MCKINNEY AND GETTING PEOPLE HERE NOT JUST FOR THE DAY BUT TO STAY OVERNIGHT TO STAY AT THE GRAND HOTEL TO EXPERIENCE ALL THE AMAZING THINGS THAT WE'VE HEARD ABOUT TODAY, SO THAT'S THE WHOLE ESSENCE OF THE PROJECT. AND A QUICK QUESTION GREAT DATA FROM THE PILOT ROUND. HOW ARE YOU CORRELATING? THE OUTRAGE TRACKING THOSE WITH, UM, WHO ACTUALLY SHOWS UP IN MAKENI VISITS MCKINNEY. IS THERE ANY KIND OF CELL PHONE TRACKING LIKE MAIN STREET IS USING FOR SOME OF THE EVENTS AND. ACTUALLY KNOWING WHAT THE IMPACT OF THIS HAS TALKED TO US IF YOU CAN ABOUT THAT CORRELATION, YEAH. SO. THESE YOU KNOW, THERE'S A COUPLE OF HIGH LEVEL STATS HERE. THE MAIN THING TO LOOK AT THAT 90% COMING VIA THE CROSS POSTING TOOL THAT THAT MEANS 90% OF THESE VIEWS AND THE PEOPLE REACHED CAME FROM BUSINESS PAGES LIKE ALL OF THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL PAGES. UM AS FAR AS TRACKING LIKE DOWN TO THE YOU KNOW THAT SALES TAX DOLLARS ARE PEOPLE ACTUALLY VISITING HERE? I MEAN, THAT WASN'T IN THE SCOPE OF THIS PILOT LIKE THAT'S HARD TO THAT'S HARD TO DO. ONE OF THE THINGS WE WERE TRYING TO DO, THOUGH, IS MAKE SURE ALL THE BUSINESSES THAT WERE PARTICIPATING IN THE CROSS POSTING WHICH IS COMPLETELY FREE, AND IT WAS AN OPEN INVITATION TO ANY BUSINESS. WE'RE TRYING TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND HOW TO LEVERAGE THIS

[01:50:02]

PIECE OF CONTENT AS THEIR OWN MARKETING EVENT, AND SO WE SENT THEM LITTLE THINGS ABOUT HERE'S LITTLE CAMPAIGNS YOU CAN DO WITH EASTER EGGS OF HOW MANY TIMES THE WHAT? YOU KNOW THE WATER TOWERS IN THERE AND STUFF LIKE THAT. AND SO WE HAD A TUBS WATCH PARTY, BUT THERE ARE ALSO OTHER SMALLER WATCH PARTIES THAT PEOPLE COULD HAVE IT THEIR OWN BUSINESSES, SO THERE'S PROBABLY A LOT OF WAY TO DO IT. YOU KNOW, CELL PHONE TRACKING WOULD BE GREAT, BUT THERE'S ALSO YOU KNOW , OTHERS SORT OF WAYS TO TRACK THE RY OF SURE, AND IT WOULD BE GREAT TO KEEP UP WITH THAT, BECAUSE IT REALLY IS WHERE. OUTREACHES GOING BECAUSE YOU JUST REACH WHEN YOU CAN LOOK ATE WERE DOING THIS WHAT GROWTH COMES EXPONENTIALLY FROM VISITORS AND THAT SORT OF THING, SO TO CONTINUE IN BOTH OUR INTERESTS. UNDERSTANDING OF HOW THAT KIND OF FUNDING AND DATA IMPACT WORKS IS A REAL AREA OF INTEREST. I THINK FOR US ON THIS ON THIS BOARD, WE CAN CERTAINLY INCLUDE THAT IN OUR PROJECT, AND ONE OF THE THINGS I NEGLECTED TO SAY IS THE FUNDING WE GOT. WE HAD VISIT MCKINNEY HELP WITH SOME FUNDING. WE HAD. THE GUITAR SANCTUARY AND TOPS ACTUALLY, WHERE TITLE SPONSORS THE THOMAS AUTO GROUP. AND THEN AS THIS EVENT GROWS, WE HAVE THE POTENTIAL WITH SERIAL HEADS WITH THEIR REACH. YOU KNOW, WE'VE GOT TAYLOR HERE WHO WAS ON THE VOICE AND CHAD WHO HAS BEEN IN L A. WE'VE GOT THE POTENTIAL OF DR PEPPER, COURAGE I HEART RADIO 80 AND T. SO WE'D LIKE THOSE KINDS OF SUPPORT TO COME IN. AND THEN THE ACTUAL. LIVESTREAM VIDEO.

WE'RE HAPPY TO HAVE VISIT MCKINNEY PUT IT ON THEIR SITE OR CDC. WE WANT YOU ALL TO USE IT AND SHARE IT. SO IT IS EVERGREEN. AND IT'S ALL ABOUT WHY MCKINNEY IS SO SPECIAL WHEN YOU WATCH THE WHOLE THING, AND JUST THAT MINI CLIP. I THINK YOU'LL SEE OUR FIRST EVENT. THEY JUST DID AN AMAZING JOB SERIAL HEAD CAPTURING THE ESSENCE. AND WHEN YOU JUST WATCH THE PIECES, E. J. WILLS JOY TALKED ABOUT HER GUEST PARDON SERIES. STEVE TALKED ABOUT HOW HE WANTS TO GET HIS BUDDIES OUT IN NEW YORK CITY TO COME TO MCKINNEY. HOW COOL IS IT? SO IT'S JUST AN INCREDIBLE REACH THAT WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO WITH THE EXPERTISE AND IT'S REALLY THE PARTNERSHIP, SO WE REALLY WANT TO COME ALONGSIDE VISIT MCKINNEY'S CDC MAIN STREET. AMY WAS VERY COMPLIMENTARY OF HOW THIS COULD BE SO WE COULD HIGHLIGHT OTHER BUSINESSES, SO I SEE IT AS EVOLVING OUTSIDE OF THE RESTAURANT COUNCIL INTO. A WHOLE INITIATIVE IN AND OF ITSELF, SO THAT'S WHERE I'M HOPING IT GROWS, TOO, BECAUSE AS A CHAMBER OBVIOUSLY WE CAN SUPPORT OUR MEMBERS, BUT WE WANT THIS TO BE FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY, VERY INCLUSIVE. WE DON'T WANT IT TO BE. OH, YOU'RE NOT A CHAMBER MEMBER. YOU CAN'T BE A PART OF THAT. THAT'S NOT HOW IT'S WORKING. WE WANT THIS TO BE FOR ALL THE GEMS OF THE COMMUNITY, AND OUR BRAINSTORMING HAS GONE TOO. UM YOU KNOW, ARTISTS TO YOU KNOW THE PARKS. WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE PARKS.

WE'RE TALKING ABOUT DOING A WATCH PARTY AT ONE OF THE PARKS FOR OUR ANNUAL LIVESTREAM. YOU KNOW, AND JUST EXPANDING WHAT IT COULD BE LIKE. SO THINK BIG OF WHERE WE'RE GOING WITH THIS.

WHAT DOES THAT HAVE THAT CAPACITY AND I THINK TO BE ABLE TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT WHAT THE IMPACT IS FOR THE MARKETING DOLLARS IS A REALLY, REALLY IMPORTANT BIT OF. LEARNING AND EDUCATION THAT NEEDS TO GO INTO THIS COMPONENT AS YOU'RE MAKING YOUR PITCHES FOR GRANT SUPPORT.

YOU SAY THAT YOU'RE GONNA BE DOING SOME MORE VIDEOS, NOT JUST JUST WON THEIR FINAL DOING THREE MORE THAT CORRECT? WELL, WE'RE GOING TO DO QUARTERLY SEGMENTS THAT ARE A LITTLE BIT LONGER.

LIKE WHAT 15 MINUTES OR SO THAT ARE GOING TO LEAD UP TO THE LIVE STREAM AND THEN MONTHLY. WE'LL DO A COUPLE MINUTE SEGMENTS. FIVE MINUTES WELL, MIGHT HIGHLIGHT SOMETHING EITHER COMING UP IN THAT NEXT QUARTERLY THING. FOR SOME OTHER KIND OF TEASER. WE COULD USE STUFF FROM THE PAST EVENT. UH THERE'S A LOT OF OPPORTUNITIES, BUT THE WHOLE POINT IS REALLY TYING IT INTO WHAT'S HAPPENING. LIKE IF YOU WATCH THE LIVE STREAM. WE TOOK SOME FOOTAGE AT. BAR WARS, SO WE ENDED UP HAVING NICK AND THE CAL TALK ABOUT CHESTNUT SQUARE AND WHY HE'S SUPPORTING IT. SO IT'S JUST GOT THAT ABILITY. SO WHAT WE'D LIKE TO DO IS ASK FOR YOUR HELP, OKAY? OUR FIRST QUARTERLY'S IN APRIL. WHAT CAN WE HIGHLIGHT? YOU KNOW? DO WE WANT TO TIE IT INTO THE BYRON NELSON? DO WE WANT TO TALK? TALK ABOUT THE PARKS IN APRIL LIKE WE'RE VERY OPEN TO THAT CREATIVITY FOR THE NEXT STEPS, AND I SHOULD SAY THOSE THE QUARTERLY THE MONTHLY STUFF OR NOT JUST PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS FOR THE ANNUAL FESTIVAL THEIR THEIR OWN SORT OF STAND ALONE, MANY EVENTS. AND SO THERE WILL STILL BE WILL BE CURATING MUSICIANS TO COME AND PLAY WHEREVER FILTERED OR WHATEVER IT MIGHT BE. AND THOSE WILL BE SAME. JUST LIKE THE HOUR LONG BROADCAST. WE HAVE, I DON'T KNOW. A DOZEN SORT OF THINGS THAT WE'RE DELIVERING EVERYBODY. THIS WILL BE THAT BUT IN A SMALLER ENCAPSULATED WAY, BUT TO KEEP THE CAMPAIGN GOING, AND THEN THEN I SHOULD SAY WE

[01:55:02]

HAVEN'T EVEN SCOPED OUT NEXT YEAR'S ANNUAL FESTIVAL BECAUSE WE JUST DID THIS ONE. BUT WE'RE DREAMING BIG. LET ME LET ME JUST SAY THAT WE AND WE WANTED TO BE FREE TO THE PUBLIC. WE WANTED TO BE JUST LIKE THIS ONE WAS JUST A LOT BIGGER AND SO SCOPE WISE. IT'S PROBABLY GOING TO BE YOU KNOW, SIX FIGURES THAT WE'RE HOPING TO BRING TO THAT. WITH AGAIN COMBINATION PUBLIC PRIVATE. SUPPORT. OKAY LET ME JUST MAKE SURE THAT I UNDERSTAND THIS. I JUST WANT TO SAY IT OUT LOUD. SO CEREAL HAD YOUR PRODUCTION COMPANY RIGHT? AND THE CHAMBER HAS CONTRACTED YOU TO PRODUCE AN ANNUAL VIDEO. THAT IS A LIVESTREAM EVENT. THAT IS, UM, PUT ON ALL OF YOUR INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS FACEBOOK PAGES SIMULTANEOUSLY, RIGHT? AND UM, THAT ANNUAL EVENTS. VIDEO EVENT HIGHLIGHTS 14 DIFFERENT BUSINESSES OR MULTIPLE DIFFERENT BUSINESSES WITHIN AN HOUR. LONG VIDEO, RIGHT? OKAY AND THEN YOU PROMOTE ESSENTIALLY THAT. ANNUAL EVENT THROUGH QUARTERLY. MANY VIDEOS, ALSO ON FACEBOOK. IS THAT I THINK THE QUARTERLY ARE GOING TO BE. OTHER FEATURES ABOUT MCKINNEY AND IT ALL, OF COURSE, MENTION WHAT'S HAPPENING NEXT, BUT IT'S REALLY IT'S JUST A MINI VERSION OF THE LARGE EVENT AND. AND SO OUR FUNDING FROM THIS GRANT WILL GO TO DO WHAT EXACTLY TO PAY SERIAL HEAD TO PRODUCE THE ANNUAL EVENT TO PAY SERIAL HEAD TO PRODUCE THE QUARTERLY EVENTS OR. TO PROMOTE THE GOING TO WATCH THE EVENT ONCE IT'S PRODUCED. IT'S BASICALLY HELPING WITH THE PRODUCTION COSTS OF THE NEXT QUARTERLY EVENT, YOU KNOW, AND THE YOU KNOW IT'S GOING TO BE A PORTION OF. THE MONTHLY LEADING UP TO THE QUARTERLY. OKAY, SO OUR MONEY WILL BE USED TO PAY SERIAL HEAD TO PRODUCE THE QUARTERLY, UM, PROMOTIONAL EVENTS. OR PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS. PORTION OF THE COST FOR THAT, OKAY, AND BASICALLY, IT'S FOR RENTING EQUIPMENT. IT'S FOR SECURING THE EDITING AND ALL THE THINGS THAT. GO INTO HAVING A PROFESSIONALLY PRODUCED. OKAY SO ARE MANY IS PAYING FOR THE PROMOTION OR FOR THE PRODUCTION OF THE VIDEOS, AND YOU'RE SPENDING OTHER MONEY TO PROMOTE THE VIDEOS THEMSELVES BECAUSE I IMAGINE THAT YOU. GET THE WORD OUT THAT THESE VIDEOS ARE BEING POSTED THAT THE LIVESTREAM EVENT IS HAPPENING. DO YOU ALSO BUY ADVERTISING TO PROMOTE THE LIVESTREAM EVENT? IF THERE'S SOMETHING ANALOGOUS IN THE MARKETING WORLD, BECAUSE I THINK IT'S JUST, UH. I WOULD SAY THE MOST ANALOGOUS MARKETING EXECUTION. THIS WOULD BE SIMILAR TO LIKE INFLUENCER MARKETING TO WHERE YOU'RE BUYING THE CREATIVE AND THE PLACEMENT. ITSELF SO YES, WE WILL BE PRODUCING IT, BUT ALSO PART OF IT. IT IS AN ADVERTISEMENT ITSELF. SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, THE RESULTS OF THE PILOT HAD NO ADVERTISING AS FAR AS FACEBOOK ADS BEHIND IT. THAT WAS ALL YOU KNOW. ORGANIC ANALYTICALLY, BUT IT ONLY HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THE UNIQUE SORT OF COLLABORATIVE, YOU KNOW, PIECE THAT WE PUT TOGETHER, BUT THE HOPE IS THIS WOULD BECOME IN THE MARKETING WORLD. THIS IS LIKE OWNED MEDIA SO WE DON'T NEED TO PAY FACEBOOK. TO PROMOTE IT, BECAUSE AS A COMMUNITY WE ARE COMING TOGETHER IN SUCH A WAY WHERE THIS IS ITS OWN DISTRIBUTION.

SO, LIKE ALL THESE BUSINESSES ARE PUTTING POST ON THEIR FACEBOOK ABOUT COMING. BUT UPSTREAM OF THAT CARES ANY INDIVIDUAL CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE CROSS POSTING ANY BUSINESS.

AND SO THAT'S WHERE IT'S THE CULT OF THE UNIQUE COLLABORATION OF ANYONE BEING ABLE TO PARTICIPATE. IT'S AN OPT IN SO THAT WHEN CYRIL HAD PUTS IT ON FACEBOOK, YOU OPT IN. AND SO THE CHAMBER WAS SIMULTANEOUS CDC VISIT MCKINNEY. MAIN STREET, THE CITY OF MCKINNEY'S FACEBOOK PAGE AND ALL THE RESTAURANTS ALL SO ANYONE CAN PARTICIPATE, SO IT'S ORGANICALLY PRODUCED OUT THERE THROUGH. THIS PROMOTIONAL EVENT ITSELF IS THIS LIVESTREAM, YOU KNOW, SO THAT'S THE PROMOTIONAL PIECE IN AND OF ITSELF. CAN I SPEAK TO THAT? JUST FOR A SECOND? BECAUSE I DO THINK THERE'S A LITTLE YOU COME TO THE PROBLEM. THANK YOU. YES, THE MICROPHONE AND ANYWAY BEHIND. UM SO I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT NOT TO PUT TOO MUCH EMPHASIS ON THE PRODUCTION ITSELF OR ON THE LIVESTREAM EVENT, BECAUSE REALLY , WHAT THIS IS, IS. IT'S AN ONGOING KIND OF LIFESTYLE CAMPAIGN, RIGHT? SO EACH QUARTER IT'S NOT POINTING TO THE LIVESTREAM RIGHT OR THE ANNUAL EVENT, BUT IT'S AN ONGOING SORT OF NAME RECOGNITION. LIFESTYLE. MCKINNEY MADE CAMPAIGN RIGHT. SO THIS IS THIS IS AN ONGOING INITIATIVE AND EACH ONE OF THESE PRODUCTIONS, THE PRODUCTION IS JUST THE NECESSARY COMPONENT TO HAVING SOMETHING TO POINT TO, AND FOR PEOPLE TO LOOK AT. AND

[02:00:03]

THE PRODUCTION IS EXPENSIVE. AND SO THAT'S WHY IT'S A BIG LINE ITEM, YOU KNOW. SO I HAVE A COMMENT, SO I THINK MAYBE THE CLARITY IS IN YOUR NAME. TELL US ABOUT MCKINNEY MADE. SO WE WERE GOING TO CALL IT. MCKINNEY ROCKS WERE TAUGHT MCKINNEY DYING. WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? AND WE CAME UP WITH THE NAME OF MCKINNEY MADE BECAUSE IT'S EVEN WHEN YOU WATCH RICKS HE TALKED ABOUT.

MADE HIM MCKINNEY. EVERYTHING HE'S DOING IS SUSTAINABILITY MADE HIM MCKINNEY. SO THE NAMING OF ITSELF IS EVERYTHING THAT MADE MCKINNEY THAT'S MADE HIM MCKINNEY AND IT IT CAN BE RETAIL . IT CAN BE ART. IT CAN BE PARKS. SO THAT'S WHERE WHY WE DIDN'T CALL IT. MCKINNEY ROCKS.

WE WANTED IT ABROAD CAMPAIGN SO MCKINNEY MADE JUST STUCK AND WE FEEL REALLY GOOD ABOUT THAT.

YES, IT REALLY SOUNDS GOOD, TOO. YEAH WE WANTED TO BE COOL AND CAPTURED THE VIBE AND THE WHOLE POINT OF IT, WHICH I'M NOT A MARKETING PERSON BY TRADE, BUT IT'S BASICALLY IT'S A BY LOCAL CAMPAIGN THAT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE A BY LOCAL CAMPAIGN. THAT'S THE ESSENCE OF IT. THAT'S WHY IT TAKES SO LONG TO EXPLAIN WHEN YOU WATCH. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO WATCH THE ONE HOUR BUT I SENT LINDA A SHORT CLIP OF IT THAT YOU CAN SEE IT, YOU KNOW, HONE IN SOME OF THOSE MINI DOCKS AND JUST LOOK AT THE THING TOGETHER. IT'S JUST IT MADE ME SO HAPPY TO LIVE AND WORK IN MCKINNEY, AND THE WHOLE THING IS THAT ENTICING OTHERS TO COME HERE AND SPEND THEIR MONEY AND BE HERE WITH US.

SO. TO KATHI OFFICER 15,000 IS NOT GOING TO FUND THE WHOLE THING. UH WHAT OTHER GRANTS HAVE HE HAS APPLIED FOR? AND LET'S JUST SAY YOU'RE NOT ABLE TO GET THE ADDITIONAL MONEY. WHAT HAPPENS THEN? WE GIVE YOU THE 15,000. YOU'RE NOT ABLE TO GET THE OTHER FUNDS TO KEEP PRODUCING THIS. THEN WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN WELL, LIKE WE'VE ALREADY HAD GREAT FEEDBACK, LIKE THE THOMAS AUTO GROUP WAS VERY HAPPY WITH IT. WE'VE TALKED TO FUNDERS LIKE RANDOLPH BROOKS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. I KNOW ANOTHER ONE OF THEIR COMPETITORS WOULD BE VERY INTERESTED SO WE CERTAINLY CAN GO TO THE BUSINESSES. BUT THE WHOLE THING ABOUT THIS IS THE POTENTIAL OF YOU KNOW YOU. YOU HEARD FROM ALL THESE DIFFERENT. ORGANIZATIONS GOING FOR, YOU KNOW GRANTS FROM EMERSON INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ENCORE WIRE. WE ALSO LOOK AT THE BRANDS LIKE DR PEPPER AND A T AND T AND I HEART RADIO. THAT'S WHERE THE POTENTIAL OF. IT'S PEOPLE THAT WANT TO GET IN FRONT OF LARGE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE. THAT'S WHERE WE'RE LOOKING THAT WERE WITH SERIAL HAD CAN BRING INTO THE TABLE. BUT YOU KNOW, WE'VE GOT A GREAT, UH, COMMITTEE HERE AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET THINGS GOING. WE STARTED THIS IN OCTOBER AND WERE ABLE TO FUND IT FOR A DECEMBER EVENT. SO WE FEEL PRETTY CONFIDENT THAT NOW THAT WE HAVE THIS TO SHOWCASE. YOU KNOW BOB THOMAS WAS OUR BRANDON THOMAS WAS VERY HAPPY ABOUT THE RESULTS, YOU KNOW, AND SO WE'RE JUST EXCITED ABOUT THE NEXT STEP, AND IT'S SOMETHING WE CAN DO. QUARTER BY QUARTER, BUT WE'D LIKE TO HAVE THE WHOLE YEAR PLANNED OUT SO THAT WE'RE SPENDING MOST OF OUR TIME ON. THE ACTUAL SHARING AN EDUCATING , YOU KNOW, THE WHOLE POINT IS HELPING EVERYONE THAT ALREADY CROSS POSTED, USE IT EFFICIENTLY AND THEN GET MORE PEOPLE TO DO THE CROSS POSTING. THAT'S WHERE WE WANT TO SPEND OUR EFFORT. TO HELP MAKE THIS JUST AN ORGANICALLY GROWING INITIATIVE. OKAY THAT'S COMMENT. I'LL MAKE HIS IN. KATHY IS THE SECOND MEMBER OF THE MIDDLE LEADERSHIP . MCKINNEY CLASS OF 2019 TO PRESENT IN FRONT OF US TODAY. I WONDER IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER CLASSES THAT HAVE TWO PEOPLE. UM PRESENTING BEFORE US TODAY. THANK YOU, KATHERINE. THANK YOU . THANK YOU. EVERYBODY

AS IT STANDS TODAY WAS THE SEPARATE BUT EQUAL SCHOOL FOR MCKINNEY, WHERE BLACKS HAD TO ATTEND AS WELL AS THOSE IN THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. IT THEN BECAME UNDER THE FOUNDING PRINCIPLE.

YES, DODIE. THE SCHOOL FOR THE SEGREGATED CHILDREN, WHERE HE STARTED SERVING AS PRINCIPAL AND FORTIES AND NOW THE CURRENT DAY WHERE THEIR CURRENT DAY SCHOOL HOLY FAMILY WHERE MY ROOM WORKERS. THEIR CHILDREN WERE ABLE TO ATTEND SCHOOL. AND SO THERE'S A VERY VIBRANT RICH HISTORY WITHIN THE WALLS OF HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL. THESE ARE SOME OF THE FACES OF THE BASES AND SHADES OF EDUCATION THAT WE WISH TO HIGHLIGHT. AND WE WANT TO PROMOTE. NOT ONLY THE PAST, BUT ALSO, UM, THE. THE CURRENT DAY ACTIVITIES THAT ARE TAKING PLACE WITHIN THE WALLS OF PUBLIC FAMILY SCHOOL AS WELL AS WHAT IS TO COME. AND SO WHEN I SAY THE NAME EVANS, MALVERN, JOHNSON, MACGOWAN, JODY AND VEGAS. WE WANT THOSE NAMES TO PERMEATE NOT ONLY AND EAST MCKINNEY BUT THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF MCCAIN. SO WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE? THE PARTNERSHIP IS PROBABLY THE FLAGSHIP OF WHAT WILL TAKE PLACE . UM THERE WILL BE A PART OF A BLACK HISTORY MONTH CHAMBER FOUNDATION COMMITTEE. UM WE HAVE PARTNERSHIP WITH SENIOR PARKS AND RECREATION. AND MCKINNEY PUBLIC LIBRARY, AS WELL AS THE COLLIN COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM AND MANY COMMUNITY FRIENDS ONCE THE EXHIBIT LEAVES DODI DODI HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL. UM WE WILL MOVE THE EXHIBIT TO THE COLLIN COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM AND THROUGHOUT PARTS OF. THE MONTH OF MARCH, AND THEN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT AS A TRAVELING MUSEUM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. I'LL JUST SAY, OF COURSE FROM THE HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL, MA, MY DAUGHTER, UH, WENT THERE RYAN FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS AND. JUST THE BRITISH RICH LEGACY THAT IS THERE. UM. AND JUST THE EDUCATORS THERE THERE.

I MEAN, EVEN THOUGH WE WOULD WE WOULD SEE I DON'T MISS SANDRA STILL THERE 20 YEARS 20 YEARS, BUT I MEAN, I COULD SEE HER IN WALMART ASEAN. JUST STILL, SHE REMEMBERS US IN THE WARMNESS.

THAT THEY CREATE FOR ALL OF OUR YOUNG CHILDREN, I THINK IS A TESTAMENT TO THE LOVE AND THE COMMITMENT THAT THESE EDUCATORS PROVIDE NOT JUST IN SCHOOL BUT OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL. THANK YOU FOR THE RICH LEGACY. YOU CONTINUE TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY. ON THE BLACK AND BROWN COMMUNITIES AND THE HISTORY AND MAKING A COLLABORATIVE EDUCATING ALL JUST EDUCATING OURSELVES. SO I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU ARE THERE. OF THE QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS. MY DAUGHTER ALSO WENT TO HELP WITH FAMILY BUT PRIOR TO BEING IN THE CURRENT FACILITY, SHE WAS IN THE OLD FACILITY. SHE HAS TWO LIFELONG FRIENDS. FROM BEING THERE WHEN SHE WAS 31 WAS HER COLLEGE ROOMMATE. EVEN SO, GREAT ENVIRONMENT FOR THEM TO BE. UM MY ONLY CONCERN IS THE FACT THAT YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET THIS MONEY TO THE END OF JANUARY IN THIS SO. AND WHAT YOU JUST SAID. AND I ASSUME THAT.

WE'LL USE SOME OF THE ADVERTISING MANY THAT. YOU CAN'T SPEND PRIOR TO THIS EVENT TO PROMOTE THE TRAVELING EVENT. OKAY? ABSOLUTELY. TRAVELING MUSEUM. OKAY, IDEALLY. THOSE POP UP BANNERS WHICH MAKE UP $2500 OF THE BUDGET. WE WOULD LIKE TO USE THOSE. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, SO THOSE WILL BE MARKETING PIECES AROUND THE COMMUNITY. THAT WILL BE BROUGHT BACK TO THE MUSEUM THAT WILL GO TO THE ACTUAL EXHIBIT AT COLLIN COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM AND USED THROUGHOUT TRAVELING. THIS THROUGHOUT TIME, SO THAT WAY WE'RE NOT LOCKED INTO YOU JUST FEBRUARY. WE WANT TO PROMOTE HIS HISTORY AND CULTURE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. YOU ALL DID A GREAT JOB OF, YOU KNOW. DAVID DEAD BECAUSE I CAN'T SAY IT CORRECTLY IN A SHORT TIME. SO YOU KNOW, I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT IN A SHORT TIME YOU CAN DO GREAT THINGS. I WAS JUST CONCERNED. LIKE I HAD SAID BEFORE THAT WE WANT TO MAKE SURE WE PRUDENT WITH WHAT WE SPEND AND OUT OF BUDGET ITEMS

[02:15:03]

LEFT THAT YOU COULDN'T SPEND. BUT I'M ASSUMING SINCE YOU HAVE INCLUDED A PROFIT MUSEUM THAT EVEN IF YOU HAVE EXPENSES, AND MARCH APRIL, MAY WE'RE JUST PROMOTING YOUR POP UP THAT THESE FRIENDS IS THAT GOING TO BE RIGHT. CINDY, THAT. BECAUSE IT'S INCLUDED HERE THE POP UP MUSEUM, OKAY. WITH THE PAPA BENT WILL. FOR SURE. MAKE SURE IT GETS BACK TO AND YOU KNOW, THAT'S THE WHOLE DEAL. WE WANT YOU TO SPEND BECAUSE WE'RE GIVING IT TO YOU. SO JUST MAKING SURE THAT BECAUSE YOU'VE INCLUDED THIS POP UP THAT YOU CAN CONTINUE TO PROMOTE PAST FEBRUARY WITH THESE FANS OUR POP UP IS GOING TO BE HERE. PROBLEM IS GOING TO BE THERE. WHEREVER IT'S GOING TO BE. THE PAPA BANDAGE WILL THEY BE ABLE TO USE YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR? IS THAT JUST FOR ONE FOR THIS YEAR? WELL, THIS IS A FLAGSHIP AND THT IS INVOLVED, IT'S WILL GET A CHANCE TO HAVE A MODEL CREATED OF THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD AS IT ORIGINALLY WAS IN THE COMMUNITY. THAT WILL BE ABLE TO GO TRAVELING AROUND AS WELL. WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PARTNER WITH A FOUNDATION THAT. MATE THAT MAY TAKE US ON TO TRAVEL NOT JUST IN MCKINNEY LOCALLY, SO WE MAY BE ABLE TO TAKE MCKINNEY ON THE ROAD. AND SO IT MAY NOT JUST LAND HERE BUT ACROSS. OTHER AREAS. SO YES, AND I THINK I GUESS THE QUESTION THAT I HEARD FROM YOU IS ARE THE POP UP BANNERS REUSABLE. WILL THEY BE DATED FOR JUST THIS YEAR? OR IS IT POSSIBLE TO DESIGN THEM FOR CONTINUED, YOU KNOW, SORT OF MULTI YEAR USE, AND THAT'S HARD TO DO SOMETIMES. IF YOU'RE REALLY GIVING CLEAR DIRECTIONS.

WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT. WHERE. EVEN IF WE HAVE THE BANNER ITSELF WITH SOME DATA INFORMATION TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A SEAL THAT CAN GO ACROSS THAT CAN BE REMOVED AND THEN REPLACED. SO THAT WAY WE'RE NOT. IT'S NOT A ONE AND DONE GOT YOU. YES SO YOU SAY THAT THIS EVENT IS GOING TO HAVE GROSS REVENUE OF $12,100. WHERE? WHAT ARE PEOPLE GOING TO BE PAYING FOR? WHERE IS THAT REVENUE COMING FROM? SO RIGHT NOW WE HAVE PRIVATE DONORS. SPONSORSHIPS OKAY, COOL, SO THERE'S NO TICKETS TO BUY OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT TO BE A FREE EVENT. I REALLY PEOPLE WILL POUR IN VIA DONATIONS. AND WE'LL BE ABLE TO TAKE ANY REVENUE AND SPLIT IT BETWEEN LEGACY KEEPERS AND HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CHILDREN WHO COMMUNITY. OKAY, COOL. THANK YOU. ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTION. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. IN THE LAST. ITEM
