SEATED TODAY. SURE AND I WOULD LIKE TO THANK DAVID FOR BEING HERE THIS MORNING AS. TREATED AS A MEMBER SEATED AS A MEMBER. YES AND I HAVE THE GREAT PRIVILEGE OF STEPPING INTO ANGELA'S CAPABLE STEPS THIS MORNING. SO PLEASE FORGIVE ANY MISSTEPS THAT I MIGHT MAKE. IT'S REALLY GREAT TO HAVE TO HAVE EVERYBODY UP HERE THIS MORNING, SO NEXT UP. DO WE HAVE ANY PUBLIC COMMENTS ON NON PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA ITEMS? OKAY, MOVING ALONG. UM CONSENT ITEMS UP NEXT AND WE

[CONSENT ITEMS]

ITEM NUMBER 22 OH 257 MINUTES OF THE MCKINNEY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION POTENTIAL PROJECT SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING OF FEBRUARY 21ST 2022. AGENDA ITEM 22 OH 258 MINUTES OF THE MCKINNEY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TOPS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING OF MARCH 1ST 2022.

AGENDA ITEM 22. OH 259 MINUTES OF THE MCKINNEY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION POTENTIAL PROJECTS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING OF MARCH 7TH. 2022. MAY HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE ALL CONSENT ITEMS. SO SOME OF SECOND THAT I JUST. MOTION. MOTION BY DAVID KELLEY AND SECOND BY MARY BARNES. STILL, LIKE. AND VOTE PASSES. WE HAVE TO. YOU HAVE TO PUSH OUR GREEN BUTTONS, OKAY?

[Financial Report]

OKAY, FOCUS. AND NEXT MOVING ON TO REPORTS AGENDA ITEM 22260 FINANCIAL COURT BY CHANCE, MILLER. GOOD MORNING CHANCE. MILLER FINANCIAL COMPLIANCE MANAGER. WE'RE GOING TO TAKE A STEP BACK TO FISCAL YEAR, 21. WE FINISHED OUR AUDIT A LITTLE BIT OF MONTH AND A HALF AGO. SO THESE ARE GOING TO BE OUR FINAL MEMBERS OR PHYSICAL YOU'RE 21. WE WENT THROUGH IT IN SEPTEMBER, BUT A FEW ITEMS HAVE CHANGED WITH OUR KRUL'S AND STUFF LIKE THAT. SO I'M JUST GOING TO THE HIGHLIGHTS THAT I'M THE ONE THE FEBRUARY FINANCIALS BUT FOR, UM, REVENUES WE HAD BUDGETED 17 MILLION AND $44,000. WE ENDED THE YEAR AT 18.4 MILLION. THE MAJORITY OF THAT WAS SELF TAX, WHICH WAS 18.35 MILLION. SO PRACTICALLY ALL OF OUR REVENUE. THAT'S ALL STARTS REVENUE SO WE'RE OVER BUDGET BY 1.4 MILLION UM, IN REGARD TO EXPENDITURES, WE HAD BUDGETED 58 MILLION TO SPEND IN FISCAL YEAR 21. WE ENDED UP SPENDING 20.5 MILLION WHICH RESULTED IN A NET DEFICIT OF 2.1 MILLION SOR ENDING FUND BALANCE IS 61.4 MILLION AT THE END OF FISCAL YEAR. 21 SO THE 1.4 MILLION EXCESS SELL STOCKS REVENUES JUST ROLLS IN THE ALSO FUND BALANCE. IN THE YEAR FOR PHYSICAL OR 21, THE REMAINING EXPENDITURES OF THE 37 MILLION THAT WAS NOT SPENT FOR SECURE 21. SYDNEY HAS RE APPROPRIATED AND MOST LIKELY WILL BE SPENDING FISCAL YEAR 22 AT THAT POINT. UM

[00:05:04]

I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO COMMON OFFICE 21. WE HAD WENT THROUGH THE PROJECT AND STUFF LIKE THAT LAST FISCAL YEAR. SO IF THERE'S ANY, UNLESS ANY QUESTIONS ALSO MOVE ON THE FEBRUARY AT THIS TIME, I JUST HAVE A GENERAL QUESTION. UM ARE THERE. WERE THERE ANY MAJOR RESTATEMENTS? DID THAT CHANGED ANY DURING THE AUDIT FROM THE PRE AUDIT FINALS? ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT CDC? UM SO SALES TAX REVENUE THAT WILL CHANGE BECAUSE THAT ONE WAY OR IN SEPTEMBER WE DON'T HAVE THE NEXT TWO MONTHS OF COLLECTIONS, SO THAT 18 POINT FORMER FORMULA ONE WAS NOT THAT AT SEPTEMBER WAS LIKE, MAYBE 17.7. EXTRA 800,000 OR SO WAS ADDED IN REGARDS TO EXPENDITURES. NOW THERE'S NO BIGGER KRUL'S OR ANYTHING. THE HIT THE MAIN THANKS FOR CDC CELLS DOWN HIS GRILLS THAT WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT TWO MONTHS FOR US TO FINALIZE EVERYTHING AND ALL THAT, AND SO NOW WE'RE ABLE TO TELL Y'ALL SPINAL NUMBER FISCAL YEAR 21 WAS 18.4. AND THAT'S BECAUSE THE TWO MONTH DELAY THAT WE RECEIVE SALES TAX AND ALL THAT STUFF.

OKAY. ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. ALRIGHT, SO MOVING ON TO FEBRUARY OF 2022 NOW. THIS IS THE FIFTH MONTH FOR FISCAL YEAR 22. WE SAW THREE A LITTLE OVER THREE MILLION AND REVENUE, WHICH PART OF THAT WAS A MILLION DOLLARS FROM TOPS, WHICH WAS THEIR DEVELOPER CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROJECT. THE OTHER WAS $2 MILLION IN SALES TAX REVENUE. REGARD TO EXPENDITURES WAS FAIRLY QUIET MONTH WAS NORMAL OPERATING EXPENSES WITH AROUND 280,000 GOING TO COMMUNITY GRANTS. 297,002 PARTS, THE PARK CONSTRUCTION FUND AND 31,000 GOING TO IMPACT SO RESULTED IN A TOTAL OF 674,000 EXPENDITURES FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY. I'M GOING TO MOVE ON TO SALES TAX.

ALRIGHT SO, FEBRUARY COLLECTIONS IS OUR BIGGEST MONTH BECAUSE THIS IS A DECEMBER SALES TAX.

SO, UM WE SAW AT 12.8% INCREASE , WHICH SEEN DOUBLE DIGIT INCREASES FOR DECEMBER'S AS WELL BEYOND EXPECTATIONS, AND IT'S GREAT FOR US TO SEE. I KNOW INFLATION PLAYS A BIG FACTOR IN THAT, BUT OUR YEAR TO DATE INCREASES UP TO 17.9. WE'VE GOT OUR SISTER CITIES, ALLEN SAW A DECREASE OF 8% FOR DECEMBER SALES TAX AND PARTLY WAS THAT WAS THEY HAD A $1.2 MILLION AUDIT COLLECTION. SO THERE ARE THEY TRULY HAD AN INCREASE OF AROUND SIX OR 7. FOR THE ARCTIC COLLECTION WAS THE WHITE FACTORED INTO SHOWING THEM AS A DECREASE. FRESCO HAD 12.8% INCREASE IN PLANO HAD 9.1% INCREASE. UM SO IT LOOKS LIKE WE WERE TRAINING ABOVE FOR DECEMBER , WHICH IS GOOD TO SEE SOME OF THOSE THAT EVERY CITIES AROUND HERE AS BIG AS MOTHERS SALES TAX AND THAT IS ALL I HAVE. I'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS REAL WHAT IS AN AUDIT COLLECTION? SO YOU KNOW THE CELLS. THE COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE WILL DETERMINE BUSINESSES THAT THEY NEED TO GO AND EITHER OVERPAID OR UNDERPAID, SELLS TAX. AND SO WHAT HAPPENED FOR THEM? IS SOMEONE OVERPAID, SO THEY HAD TO GET 1.2 MILLION REFUNDED BACK TO THEMSELVES, STACKS. SURE, THERE'S LOTS OF OTHER SMALLER ONES WITHOUT THE BIGGEST ONE THAT PLAYED A FACTOR INTO IT, SO THAT'S JUST RANDOM. WHATEVER THE WHATEVER SIGNALS FOR THE COMPTROLLER TO GO REVIEW OF BUSINESS AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT SIGNALS THAT SINGLE BUSINESS WITH THE ONE POINT THAT'S BIG. OH, HOMER FOR THEM, OKAY? OKAY? THANK YOU. THANK YOU. NEXT STEP AGENDA ITEM 22261

[Board and Liaison Reports Board Chair City of McKinney Visit McKinney McKinney Economic Development Corporation McKinney Main Street/MPAC McKinney Parks and Recreation]

BOARD AND LIAISON REPORTS A FEW THINGS THAT WE'D LIKE TO MENTION THIS MORNING. FIRST OF ALL. AS MANY OF YOU ARE AWARE. MARCH IS NATIONAL WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH AND TODAY IS ALSO NATIONAL COCKTAIL DAY, AND I SAY THAT CAUSED FOR A TOAST TO A MOST REMARKABLE WOMAN IN TEXAS HISTORY. SOMEBODY WHOM YOU MAY NOT KNOW. HORTENSE SPARKS WARD. AND I THINK THIS HAS SPECIAL MEANING IN THE CONTEXT OF WHAT'S GOING ON NATIONALLY WITH A NEW POTENTIAL SUPREME COURT MEMBER IN 1910 HORTENSE WARD WAS THE FIRST WOMAN TO PASS THE TEXAS STATE BAR EXAM. AND WAS ACCEPTED TO THE TEXAS BAR ASSOCIATION. SHE WAS THE FIRST WOMAN BELOW THE MASON DIXON LINE TO ARGUE A CASE BEFORE THE US SUPREME COURT AND WAS THE CHEESE CHEAP JUSTICE OF THE 1925 ALL WOMEN SUPREME COURT IN TEXAS. VERY SHORT LIVED OCCASIONS. SHE WAS A PROMINENT CAMPAIGNER FOR WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE AND WOMEN'S RIGHTS. IN 1913. SHE LOBBIED FOR A LAW THAT ALLOWED MARRIED WOMEN IN TEXAS TO KEEP THEIR OWN PROPERTY AND FINANCIAL RIGHTS, WHICH BECAME KNOWN AS THE HORTENSE WARD AT SHE LED A SUCCESSFUL 1918 CAMPAIGN TO ALLOW WOMEN THE RIGHT TO VOTE IN TEXAS PRIMARY ELECTIONS AND ON JUNE 27TH OF THAT YEAR, BUT SHE SHE BECAME THE FIRST WOMAN IN HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. TO

[00:10:02]

REGISTER TO VOTE. IT WASN'T UNTIL 30 YEARS LATER THAT WOMEN WERE ACTUALLY ALLOWED TO SIT ON A JURY. SO YOU KNOW HURRY FOR HORTENSE FOR BRINGING ALL OF HIS TEXAS WOMEN INTO A NEW ERA. AND ONTO MORE MORE RELEVANT AND RECENT THINGS FOR OUR BOARD. THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR BOARD MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN OUT IN THE COMMUNITY REPRESENTING HIM, CDC. UM WE'VE WE'VE HAD A LOT OF PARTICIPATION IN EVENTS THAT WERE HAPPENING EARLIER THIS MONTH AND WILL CONTINUE INTO THIS SPRING. I THINK JUST ABOUT EVERYBODY WAS THERE FOR THE DB GROUNDBREAKING EARLIER THIS MONTH. THE ASYLUM EUROPE PROJECT. AH WELCOMING GUIDO VAN HELTON TO MCKENNY, WHO IS AN INTERNATIONAL ARTIST HAD AN AMAZING AMAZING TURNOUT AND DID THEY EVENING WAS REALLY SECOND TO NONE THAT EVENING AND DEBORAH BRADFORD, OUR VERY OWN. DEBORAH BRADFORD GAVE JUST REALLY HEARTFELT COMMENTS. SO THANK YOU, DEBORAH FOR PARTICIPATING THE ST PATRICK'S BEER WALK, SPG HOSPITALITY, PROMOTIONAL AND COMMUNITY EVENT. GRANT WAS VERY WELL ATTENDED, AND THE MECHANIC CHRISTIAN ACADEMY FUNDRAISER. SO, UM. ONE REMINDER FOR THIS EVENING, THE EAST MECHANIC COMMUNITY CONVERSATION EVENT IS SCHEDULED FROM 5 TO 7 AT OLD SETTLER'S PARK. HOPE TO SEE A NUMBER OF YOU THERE FOR THAT, UM OKAY, I THINK ANY OTHER. ANY OTHER COMMENTS OR PARTICIPATION, NOTES. YOU WANT TUBS, COMMENTS AT THIS? UM. WHY NOT? MHM SURE, SURE. ALL RIGHT. SO THE MOST RECENT COMMENTS FROM THE TOP SPUR EXPANSION PROJECT OBVIOUSLY WE HAVE A SUBCOMMITTEE ONCE A MONTH CONTINUED THE DEVELOPMENT PERMITS BEEN ISSUED. THE SITE SURVEY WAS COMPLETED ON FEBRUARY 28. THERE'S A DEMO OF THE BUILDING THAT'S GOING TO BE USED AS THE CONSTRUCTION TRAILER THAT'S UNDERWAY. THAT'S EVENTUALLY GOING TO BE, I THINK, STILL PLAN TO BE A COFFEE SHOP WANTS THE CONSTRUCTIONS OVER RIGHT? THE PROPOSAL FOR THE DEMO OF THE BUILDING ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER. THAT'S THE BUILDING CURRENTLY OWNED BY M. C. D. C. THAT'S BEEN ACCEPTED. THANK YOU.

JUST HAD ONE COMMENT ON THE ATTENDED THE MCKINNEY PHILHARMONIC MUSIC OF JOHN WILLIAMS, AND AS A CHILD OF THE EIGHTIES. NOTHING BROUGHT ME MORE PLEASURE BECAUSE I GOT CHILLS LISTENING TO IT. AND OF COURSE, THE OPENING WAS. OH IT WAS JUST INCREDIBLE. SO IT WAS GREAT. I WOULD JUST ENCOURAGE YOU. I DID IT FOR THE JOHN WILLIAMS MUSIC, BUT THEY WERE REALLY INCREDIBLE. AND I'M GOING TO TELL YOU THAT'S USUALLY NOT MY THING. USUALLY TIPS, BREWERY . BEER WALKS ARE MY THING, BUT I'M GOING TO SAY WHICH WAS GREAT TOO. BUT UM, IT WAS IT WAS REALLY WONDERFUL. AND SO I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANY OF YOU THAT I WAS THERE AS WELL. AND I'M SORRY. I DIDN'T SEE YOU. IT WAS REMARKABLE. IT WAS A FULL HOUSE AND TO HEAR A LIVE ORCHESTRA JUST LITERALLY BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES BECAUSE IT WAS SO WONDERFUL. THEY DID A REALLY WONDERFUL TRIBUTE BECAUSE THE FIRST VIOLINIST WAS THE UKRAINIAN WOMAN, AND THEY ORCHESTRA AND THE CONDUCTOR HAVE DEEP DEEP UKRAINIAN ROOTS BECAUSE THEY HAVE PLAYED AND STUDIED THERE. SO IT WAS IT WAS JUST A REALLY A LOVELY GET TOGETHER FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY HERE, LIVE MUSIC, AND I THINK THE NEXT PERFORMANCE IS APRIL. 2ND. IS THAT CORRECT? COMING UP, AND IT WAS JUST WONDERFUL. SO OKAY. ALRIGHT. NEXT STEP. MR GRIMES FOR THE CITY OF MCKINNEY. GOOD MORNING, MADAM CHAIR, MADAM PRESIDENT, MEMBERS OF THE BOARD. PAUL GRIMES, CITY MANAGER. I'M JUST A COUPLE ITEMS TO UPDATE YOU ON. THE CITY COUNCIL ON MARCH. 11TH HAVE THE SECOND OF TWO STRATEGIC GOAL SETTING WORKSHOPS. THE FIRST ONES ON FEBRUARY 11TH.

THAT'S HOW THEY NORMALLY DO IT EVERY YEAR. THEY NORMALLY DO THEIR STRATEGIC GOAL SETTING.

THEY TELL US THEIR PRIORITIES THAT WHAT WE DID LITTLE BIT DIFFERENTLY THIS YEAR. AS WE HAD A FOLLOW UP TO SAY, OKAY, THESE ARE PRIORITIES NOW WHICH ONES ARE THE BIGGER PRIORITIES, WHICH IS ACTUALLY VERY HELPFUL TO STAFF. SO WE GET AN IDEA OF WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT THEY REALLY WANT TO EMPHASIZE. IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE OTHERS DON'T HAPPEN. THEY DO BUT WHEN WE WHEN WE'RE PRESSED WITH TIME AND LIMITED RESOURCES AND STAFF WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT ARE THE COUNCIL'S PRIMARY GOALS OR THEIR THEIR MOST ELEVATED PRIORITIES. SO WE CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

BUDGET PROCESS IS UNDERWAY. WE ANTICIPATED BUDGET BEING PRESENTED, OF COURSE AT THE CITY COUNCIL AND EARLY AUGUST AND THE COUNCIL WILL ADOPT THE BUDGET. THEY'LL HAVE SET OF WORKSHOPS AND THEN THE BUDGET WILL BE ADOPTED. IN MID SEPTEMBER FOR OCTOBER ONE. SO A COUPLE OF

[00:15:04]

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS WE HAD YOU MIGHT HAVE SEEN YESTERDAY IN THE NEWS. THERE WAS A NEWS MEDIA REPORT ABOUT WEST GROVE DEVELOPMENT THAT IS AT THE CORNER OF CUSTER AND US 3 80.

WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON THAT WHILE YOU ALL ARE FAMILIAR WITH THAT. UM THAT IS GOING TO BE A WHOLE FOODS MARKET ALONG WITH SOME OTHER RETAIL ACTIVITIES. SOME LUXURY APARTMENT. UM UM RESIDENCES AS WELL ASSOCIATED WITH THAT. AND THEN, OF COURSE, WE'RE FAMILIAR WITH THE HUB.

WHICH WILL BE THAT IS NOT THIS PROJECT PER SE, BUT IT'S LOCATED ON THE SAME SITE, LARGER SITE AND THAT WILL BE COMING AS WELL. SO WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT THAT. UM CAN I JUST CLARIFY SOMETHING ON THAT THE HUBS GREEN SPACE THAT WE HAVE PARTIALLY FUNDED? THAT IS THE GREEN SPACE OF WEST GROVE. IS THAT NO, THEY HAVE A SEPARATE GREEN SPACE, A SEPARATE PART THAT THEY'RE GOING TO BUILD TWO ACRES. AS PART OF THAT DEVELOPMENT, AND THEN THE HUGS IS READING THAT ARTICLE YESTERDAY. IT WASN'T CLEAR TO ME. IT MADE IT SOUND LIKE THE HUB WAS THE GREEN SPACE OR THE RECREATIONAL SPACE OF WEST GROUP. SO OKAY. JUST WANTED TO CLARIFY. ABSOLUTELY, UM THE DEVELOPMENT AT THAT YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH BECAUSE YOU'RE GOING TO BE YOUR NEW HOME SOON.

THE KAIZEN BUILDING AT PALMA AND 1 21 IS MOVING ALONG. THEY'RE ANTICIPATING THAT THAT WILL BE READY TO GO BETWEEN EARLY SEPTEMBER AND EARLY NOVEMBER. AH AND SO SOMETIME BETWEEN THEN YOU ALL WILL BE LOCATING THERE, ALONG WITH THE E, D. C AND THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. THEY'RE ALL VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT. BUT THESE PROJECTS AS ALWAYS, USUALLY COME IN RIGHT UNDER THE WIRE, OR MAYBE A LITTLE OVER THE WIRE BUT USUALLY AROUND THE TIME FRAME. CITY HALL IS SHIFTING NOW FROM THE DESIGN PHASE. THE DESIGN PLAN IS DONE. NOW WE ARE MOVING INTO CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS. UH SO THE ARCHITECT IS BUSY PUTTING TOGETHER CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS TO GET THE PROJECT STARTED. WE ANTICIPATED NOTICE TO PROCEED IN SEPTEMBER. OR SEPTEMBER ISH. AND THEN IT'S ABOUT A 24 TO 26 MONTH CONSTRUCTION PERIOD, SO WE ANTICIPATE CITY HALL WILL BE COMPLETED. AND LATE 2024. SO THAT'S MOVING ALONG, AND THAT'S A MILESTONE TO SHIFT FROM THE DESIGN PHASE ONTO THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWING BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU'VE SEEN IN THE RENDERINGS ARE BASICALLY THAT'S WHAT IT'S GOING TO LOOK LIKE, AND WE LIKE IT. COUNCIL LIKES IT. AND WORK. IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET TO THAT POINT, BUT WE'RE VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT. AND THEN FINALLY, THE G WIZ. COMMENT OF THE DAY IS OUR POPULATION ESTIMATES ARE ESTIMATED POPULATION AS OF MARCH ONE. 99 207,008 SO ABOUT 200,000 PEOPLE , WHICH IS ABOUT 500 LITTLE OVER 500 MORE PEOPLE THAN WE HAD THE MONTH BEFORE SO THAT IS WHERE WE ARE, AND I WILL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. OKAY. THANKS VERY MUCH. THANKS, MR CRIMES. NEXT STEP VISIT MCKENNEY MARIE WOODARD. GOOD MORNING AND THANK YOU FOR THE HONOR OF BEING HERE . I AM MARIE WOODARD AND I'M PRESENTING THE VISIT MCKINNEY REPORT FOR YOU. WE'RE GOING TO KEEP IT VERY SHORT. AND TO THE POINT THIS MONTH, I WANTED YOU TO KNOW THAT IN FEBRUARY WE HAD A TOTAL OF 92 GROUP. ROOMS USED , BRINGING IN A LITTLE OVER $8800 INTO TAX. UM AS SHORT LITTLE UPDATE ON BYRON, WHICH WE HAVE HERE TODAY, AND I WON'T SAY ANYTHING THAT I FEEL THEY'RE GOING TO LET US KNOW. BUT WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT THE RETURN OF THE CONCERT, AND IT WILL BE ON SATURDAY NIGHT. JUST REMINDER. THAT IS A SEPARATE TICKET. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE ASKING US DOES THEIR TICKET INTO THE EVENT INCLUDE THE CONCERT, AND IT DOES NOT. UM NATIONALS, TRAVEL AND TOURISM WEEK WILL BE MADE ONE THROUGH SEVEN AND THAT'S A REALLY BIG DEAL TO US. AND YESTERDAY WE HAD A CONVERSATION WITH UH, SEVERAL OF OUR OTHER ENTITIES IN TOWN THAT WE'RE HOPING WE CAN PARTNER WITH, AND THAT WOULD INCLUDE MAIN STREET AND EMMY, DC M. C. D. C. AND POSSIBLY THE CHAMBER, AND WE'LL TAKE THE TIME DURING THAT WEEK TO HELP OUR LOCALS UNDERSTAND WHAT WE DO HOW WE DO IT, WHY WE DO IT IN THE EXTREME IMPACT AND IMPORTANCE OF THOSE TAX DOLLARS. CAN BEGIN TO OUR COMMUNITY. EXCITING NEW THING WE HAVE COMING IS IN ADDITION TO THE HISTORIC TOUR WALKS THAT WE DO ON THE SQUARE. WE'RE GOING TO ADD ART WALKS. SO IF ANYONE HAS ALREADY DONE A HISTORIC WALK, WE INVITE YOU TO COME BACK AND LET'S NOW RELOOK AT OUR MURALS AND OUR OTHER ART INSTALLATIONS THAT MAKE MCKINNEY SO UNIQUE. UM NEXT MONTH, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU SPECIFIC DATES AND TIMES THAT THOSE WILL OCCUR. AND OF COURSE, THEY'RE ALWAYS FREE. UM I WILL END ON A REALLY GOOD NOTE WILL TALK ABOUT HOT TAX COLLECTION THAT STANDS FOR HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX. UM FEBRUARY 21. THE TAX COLLECTION WAS 108

[00:20:05]

287,000. AND THIS FEBRUARY WE WERE UP 47.31. WITH 100 AND 59,005 14 COLLECT, SO WE'RE PROUD OF THAT NUMBER AND WE STILL ARE DOING A LOT BETTER THAN SOME OF OUR NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES, AND THAT'S A LOT OF HARD WORK BY EVERYBODY IN THIS ROOM. IT'S NOT BY ACCIDENT. IT IS BY DESIGN. SO OUR YEAR TO DATE TAX COLLECTION WERE UP 52.51% SO FROM OCTOBER TO FEBRUARY, WE ARE AT 8 49 5 68. SO GOOD JOB, EVERYBODY. AND I STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. THANK YOU SO MUCH. THANK YOU. NEXT STEP ANY D C. PETER TOOKER. MORNING BOARD. MADAM PRESIDENT.

EXCUSE ME. UM A COUPLE UPDATES FROM THE FROM THE CDC. UM WE AS WELL ARE, AS WITH EVERYONE ELSE IN THE CITY ARE PREPARING FOR THE BYRON NELSON WITH OUR HOSPITALITY SUITES AND ARE FORMULATING OUR RED CARPET TOUR. WE HAVE A LONG LIST OF INVITEES THAT WE'VE INVITED. WE HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD CROWD HERE TO SHOWCASE. UH THE DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES HERE IN THE CITY. UM WE WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THIS SATURDAY'S NEIGHBORHOOD CONFERENCE. WELCOME ALL EVERYONE TO ATTEND AT THE CRISP START OF 7:30 A.M. ON SATURDAY MORNING.

AH I CAN'T THINK OF A BETTER WAY TO START OFF MY SATURDAY AND TALK ABOUT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.

BUT WE WILL HAVE A PANEL THERE ABOUT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND YOU AND WE HAVE RECEIVED INFORMATION FROM CINDY SO WE CAN SHARE SOME INFORMATION ON THE CDC AS WELL TO THE RESIDENTS AND THIS IS PART OF OUR EFFORT TO BETTER FAMILIARIZE THE COMMUNITY WITH WHAT THE CDC AND CDC DOES, SO THEY BETTER UNDERSTAND HOW WE'RE FUNDED. WHAT ARE WE USING THOSE DOLLARS FOR TO ENHANCE THE COMMUNITY? SO THIS IS THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST OF SEVERAL PUBLIC FORUMS THAT WE HOPE TO HAVE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. UM, I WANT TO INFORM THE CDC THAT THROUGH WHATEVER, HOWEVER, THE MISTAKE HAPPENED. THE E. D. C WAS RECOGNIZED ALONGSIDE OF KTC FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER. THEY'RE UP FOR AN AWARD ON MARCH 30TH FOR THAT CENTER. AND WE HAVE SINCE CORRECTED THAT NARRATIVE AND SAID NO, THAT WAS ACTUALLY THE CDC THAT HELP PARTICIPATE IN THAT. UM, BUT YOU GUYS ARE BEING, UM ATTACK. YOU'RE KIND OF BEING ASSOCIATED WITH KTC AND AN AWARD AND THAT'S GOING TO BE HELD ON MARCH 30TH. I KNOW THAT YOU GOT THE CDC HAS PRIOR ENGAGEMENT WITH THE CON HER EDUCATION FOUNDATION. EVENT BUT WE ARE ATTENDING THAT AWARDS CEREMONY AND SHOULD YOU WIN? WE WILL PROMPTLY RESPOND. CONGRATULATIONS WITH, UH, WITH THAT AWARD, BUT WE DIDN'T ACTUALLY GOING TO PICK UP THE ORIGINS. NO, IT'S ACTUALLY KTC.

YOU WILL GET IT, BUT WELL. I'M GOING TO GET A BIG CARDBOARD CUT OUT OF SYDNEY. THE WHOLE UM BUT FOR WHATEVER REASON, CONGRATULATIONS, YOU GUYS FOR BEING NOMINATED, AND, UH, IN THAT AWARD AND THEN FINALLY SPEAKING OF AWARDS. THE UM CDC. WE GOT THE RESULTS OF ARE CREDITED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION AND WE WERE APPROVED, SO WE ARE OFFICIALLY ACCREDITED BY THE INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND WILL BE TELLING THAT WILL BE GETTING AN OFFICIAL PLAQUE FROM THE INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL IN JUNE TWO, WHICH WE WILL THEN PRESENT TO THE COUNCIL, AND WE'RE ALREADY PUTTING IT ON OUR WEBSITE. BUT THANKS FOR ALL OF YOU GUYS THAT HELPED PARTICIPATE IN THAT ACCREDITATION PROCESS, IT WAS ABOUT A TWO YEAR PROCESS. THROUGH THE DOCUMENT, REVIEW AND SUBMIT ALS AND THEN WE HOSTED AN ON SITE TEAM TO DO A COMMUNITY EVALUATION AND WE FELT WE ARE AT THE 72ND COMMUNITY IN THE NATION TO RECEIVE THE CREDIT THE ACCREDITATION I WAS REALLY PROUD ABOUT THAT. AND ALONGSIDE THAT WE ALSO DID RECEIVE THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT EXCELLENCE AWARD FROM THE TEXAS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL. THEY DO APPEAR REVIEW OF ALL COMMUNITIES. BASED ON OUR PROGRAMS, OUR STRATEGY, OUR STAFF A LOT OF DIFFERENT OPERATIONAL ITEMS TO MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE PROVIDING AS MUCH RESOURCES TO THE COMMUNITY AS WE CAN, AND WE WERE LISTED AMONGST THOSE COMMUNITIES THAT RECEIVED THE EXCELLENCE AWARD ALL IN THE LAST MONTH, SO OR VERY PROUD OF THOSE TWO THINGS AND FOR ANY QUESTIONS AT THE IRONY. THANK YOU. THANK YOU, PETER. NEXT STEP MAIN STREET IMPACT. AMY ROSENTHAL. HELLO GOOD MORNING. AMY ROSENTHAL MCKINNEY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, MCKINNEY MAIN STREET. SPRING IS IN THE AIR, RIGHT? MAYBE SORT OF ALONG WITH YOUR BREATH THIS MORNING. UM SO, YEAH, LOTS OF GREAT ART ACTIVITIES HAPPENING, BUT JUST AGAIN. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT FOR THE MURAL LAUNCH. WHAT A FUN NIGHT AS VICE

[00:25:05]

CHAIRMAN GIL. RECOGNIZE IT WAS A REALLY TREMENDOUS NIGHT. DEBRA'S WORDS LIKE GAVE US TEARS. I MEAN, JUST A REALLY FUN NIGHT. WE RAISED A LITTLE OVER $20,000 THAT NIGHT. SO VERY EXCITED ABOUT THOSE INITIATIVES. YOU KNOW, PUBLIC ART IS FREE FOR EVERYBODY. I MEAN, THOSE THERE'S NO NOT AN ADMISSION FOR A PUBLIC ART PIECE. IT'S SOMETHING THAT BENEFITS THE COMMUNITY AND THIS IS A COMMUNITY PROJECT AND WE'RE STILL LOOKING FOR A LITTLE SUPPORT FROM THE COMMUNITY. SO UM, CAN YOU TELL US HOW MUCH WHAT'S THE TOTAL GOAL AND HOW MUCH HAVE YOU RAISED YOUR THING ? SO THE TOTAL COMMISSION IS 300,000. WE HAVE 90,000 FROM THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON THE ARTS. WE HAVE ABOUT A $50,000 GOAL FOR INDIVIDUALS WERE LITTLE ALMOST HALFWAY THERE FOR THAT. WE HAVE $100,000 CORPORATE GOAL. AND THERE WERE 50,000 IS COMING FROM HOT FUNDS, SO WE HAVE SOME STRATEGIC ASKS OUT TO THE COMMUNITY. YOU PROBABLY SEE KIND OF A MORE PUBLIC. UM INDIVIDUAL CAMPAIGN HIT THE HIT THE INTERWEBS HERE SOON IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS, BUT WE'RE GOING TO GET THERE ABOUT HALFWAY THERE. JUST 300 INCLUDE THE SILO REPAIRS. THAT DOES NOT. THAT IS A COMPLETELY SEPARATE TYPE OF, YEAH. BIG PROJECT, SO THAT REQUIRING FUNDING TO OR IS THAT ALL FIGURED OUT? SO THAT IS THAT'S BEEN ALLOCATED FROM THE HOTEL TAX. FUND SO THAT THOSE THOSE SILOS WERE IN PRETTY TOUGH SHAPE. AND WHEN THE CITY ACQUIRED THE SILOS, I'M NOT SURE WE ALL UNDERSTOOD WHAT WAS GOING TO BE INVOLVED. BUT THEY ARE. I MEAN, THAT'S WHAT BUILT MCKINNEY THOSE SILOS THAT INDUSTRIAL AGRICULTURAL THAT IS REPRESENTATIVE OF WHY WE'RE HERE TODAY SO VERY IMPORTANT LANDMARK TO OUR CITY. WE ARE STILL SEEKING A LITTLE INPUT TO FROM RESIDENTS ABOUT FOR THE SILO PROJECT ABOUT MCKINNEY EXPERIENCES. HOW DO YOU DEFINE MCKINNEY? THAT SURVEY CLOSES ON MARCH 27TH. WE'LL TALK ABOUT IT TONIGHT AT THE OPEN HOUSE. WILL COME TO COUNCIL ON APRIL, THE FIFTH FOR WORK SESSION TO SHARE THE COMMUNITY FEEDBACK SO TUNE IN ON APRIL, THE FIFTH AND AGAIN AS I MENTIONED APRIL IS OUR ARTS MONTH, SO WE HAVE LOTS OF PROGRAMMING HAPPENING. PERFORMANCE WISE. THIS WEEKEND IS OVATION WITH THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. WE HAVE THE DANCE BAND NEXT WEEKEND. WE HAVE WILDER BLUE AND ALBUM RELEASE, AND THEN ON APRIL THE 19TH THE LIONS CLUB. WE HAVE A FANTASTIC BLUEGRASS CONCERT, SO LOTS OF THINGS HAPPENING AT IMPACT IN MAIN STREET. GREAT THANK YOU SO MUCH. THANK ZOOMING. NEXT STEP, PARKS AND REC AND MR MULLINS WILL BE PRESENTING THIS MORNING. GOOD MORNING. I'LL APOLOGIZE FOR HAVING TO FILL IN FOR MR KOWSKI. HE COULDN'T BE HERE. I'M I'M A POOR SUBSTITUTE. BUT I'LL DO MY BEST. I THINK IT'S AN UPGRADE. MM HMM. I JUST WANT TO WARN EVERYBODY, ALTHOUGH AMY SPOKE OF SPRING, AND IT WAS 30 SOMETHING DEGREES THIS MORNING, SUMMER IS COMING, AND THAT'S A BIG DEAL FOR US. SO OUR SUMMER ACTIVITY GUIDES ARE OUT APEX OR PARKS AND RECREATION AND OUR SENIOR RECREATION CENTER ACTIVITY GUIDES ARE OUT. YOU CAN PICK THOSE UP AT OF OUR REC CENTERS AND LIBRARIES OR JUST OUT HERE IN THE HALLWAY. THERE SHOULD BE SOME ON THE DISPLAY CASE. WE'RE STARTING TO GET A LOT OF CALLS FOR PAVILIONS ABOUT BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND RENTALS FOR THIS AND THAT AND SO IT'S REALLY STARTING TO HEAT UP AND PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO GO OUTSIDE A LOT MORE NOW. UM WITH THE SUMMER FOR US COMES A NEED FOR MORE STAFFING. SO WE'RE CURRENTLY SIT AT ABOUT 350. TOTAL EMPLOYEES AND PARKS AND RECREATION MAJORITY OF THAT IS PART TIME EMPLOYEES SUMMERTIME WE USUALLY HIT ABOUT 550. SO WE'RE ABOUT 200 BEHIND RIGHT NOW AND WHAT WE NEED TO RUN OUR FULL OPERATIONS FOR THE SUMMER. WE HAVE A HIRING JOB FAIR COMING UP AT THE OLD SETTLERS RECREATION CENTER ON APRIL 9TH FROM EIGHT A.M. TO ONE P.M. EXPECT TO GET HOPEFULLY MAYBE 80 100 STAFF OUT OF THAT THAT'S USUALLY A BIG DEAL FOR US. WE PICKED UP ABOUT 50 AT OUR LAST ONE THAT WAS BACK IN FEBRUARY. SOME OF THOSE ON BOARD YET SO THEY'LL ADD TO THAT TOTAL OF 350 THAT WE HAVE. IN APRIL. WE'RE KICKING OFF OUR SERIES WIY PARTY ON THE PATIO PROJECTS ARE PARTY ON THE PATIO EVENTS AT THE RECREATION CENTER AT TOWN LAKE SATURDAY EVENINGS IN APRIL.

THEY'RE YOUR TEAM HAS DONE TO GET THOSE FIELDS PUT TOGETHER AND THE CD AMOUNT OF FAMILIES, THOSE OTHER ENJOYING IT SO GOOD JOB FOR YOUR FOR YOUR TEAM TO GET THEM ALL DONE. THANK YOU. THIS TIME OF YEAR WE START THOSE SEASONS OF BASEBALL, T BALL SOFTBALL, SOCCER. YOU KNOW WE'RE STILL KIND OF ON DORMANT GRASS, SO IT'S NOT HASN'T REALLY COMES FANTASTIC OUT THERE. IT'S A LITTLE BIT OF A CHALLENGE FOR YOU APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS AGREE WITH DAVID GREENE OUTFIELD THAT GAVE KNOWS BETTER, BEAUTIFUL. THEY SPRAY PAINT THOSE WAY THEY'RE GREEN DOWN TO. I DON'T THINK THOSE ARE BUT WE'VE WORKED WITH SOME PRODUCTS THAT MAKE IT LOOK DELIVERY. AND I DID NOTICE THEM. PORTA POTTIES AT GRADY LITTLEJOHN HAD THERE BEEN SOME RESTROOMS BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE REMOVED. NOW THE WATER IS BACK ON THERE WAS A WATER LAKE PROVIDED WATER TO THE TOWN LAKE AND THE GREATER LITTLEJOHN RESTROOMS THOUGHT THEY WOULD HAVE THOSE FIX. STILL LITTLE ISSUES WITH GETTING PARTS AT TIMES, SO IT KIND OF DELAYS. THESE PROJECTS ARE STAFF WAS ABLE TO REPAIR THAT. I DON'T I'M NOT SURE THE PORTER PARTIES HAVE BEEN REMOVED, BUT THE WATER IS BACK ON, SO THEY NOTICED THE RESTROOMS WERE OPEN. THAT'S WHY I WAS A LITTLE CONFUSED. I WAS THERE LAST NIGHT, SO THE PORTER PARTIES HAVE NOT BEEN REMOVED YET, BUT I WAS JUST CONFUSED SINCE THE RESTROOMS DID APPEAR TO BE OPEN. SO DID YOU SAY THE JOB FAIR? APRIL 9TH. FINANCIAL SELLERS RECREATION CENTER FROM EIGHT A.M. TO ONE P.M. SO THAT'S KIND OF ON SITE ONE STOP SHOP FOR ROLE. INTERVIEW PUT HIM THROUGH HR DRUG SCREEN. EVERYTHING WE NEED TO DO IS PRETTY MUCH ON THE SPOT. ARE TEENAGERS. LOTS OF THEM. SO WE GENERALLY WHO WANTS TO BE A LIFER AGAIN? MAKE SURE AND BUT I DON'T. I DON'T WANT HER TO DO ANYTHING EASY BECAUSE SHE THINKS SHE SHOULD WORK AT STARBUCKS, AND I THINK THAT SHE NEEDS TO DO REALLY HARD LABOR ALSO STARTING VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING, SENDING WE HAVE ALL KINDS OF APEX OPENS AT 4:30 A.M. SO EXCELLENT. THAT IS THE KIND OF JOB THAT SHE NEEDS. WE HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO HIRE AS YOUNG AS 15. SO AT 15, THEY CAN HELP US WITH US FROM US AND PROGRAM. WE ACTUALLY ENJOY HIRING THE 15 YEAR OLD BECAUSE THEY TYPICALLY STAY WITH US FOR A FEW YEARS AND WE GET HIM AT 15. WE CAN KEEP THEM FOR ABOUT SIX YEARS. THAT'S JUST SUMMER'S ONLY OR WHAT, BUT RETURNING STAFF IS A BIG PORTION OF HOW WE MAINTAIN OUR FACILITIES. THANK YOU. THANK YOU, RYAN. THANK YOU. NEXT STEP IS ITEM 22 OH 262 PRESIDENTS

FOR MAY. IF YOU LOOK AT THE RECAP OF GRANTS AWARDED THIS YEAR SO FAR OUT OF THE DISCRETIONARY ALLOCATION THAT WE STARTED WITH AT 1.7 MILLION, THERE IS ABOUT 1.4 MILLION REMAINING. WE ALSO, UM THE BOARD APPROVED LAST MONTH. THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GRANT FOR ADB'S LOCATION IN MCKINNEY. SO UM, THERE ARE FUNDS REMAINING ON IN THAT CATEGORY AS WELL. UM

[00:35:07]

INCLUDED ON THE AGENDA WAS FINAL REPORT THAT WAS SENT IN FROM MAIN STREET REPORT ON OCTOBERFEST AND HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. AND JUST WANT TO REMIND THE BOARD HOW SUCCESSFUL THOSE EVENTS ARE WITH RESPECT TO DRAWING PEOPLE INTO VISIT MCKINNEY. 77,000 VISITED DOWNTOWN FOR OCTOBERFEST AND 61,000 OVER THE WEEKEND FOR HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. SO SIGNIFICANT FOR OUR COMMUNITY. UM. RYAN MENTIONED THE JOINT MEETING WITH PARKS ON APRIL 14TH. THE PURPOSE OF THAT MEETING WILL BE TOO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CDC IN THE PARKS ADVISORY BOARD TO PROVIDE INPUT ON PROPOSED PROJECTS FOR THE COMING YEAR THAT WILL BE FUNDED THROUGH THE PARK'S $5.5 MILLION ALLOCATION. AND THEN THE LAST THING I'LL MENTION IS AS PART OF OUR RETAIL SUPPORT. ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. LONDON I WILL BE AT THE RED RIVER STATES CONFERENCE IN DALLAS NEXT THURSDAY. AND THEN FRIDAY MORNING, THE CITY WILL HAVE A BOOTH THERE THAT THAT WE HAVE FUNDED. WE HAVE MATERIALS. AVAILABLE FOR PEOPLE INTERESTED IN FINDING OUT MORE ABOUT MCKINNEY. AND I'M HAPPY TO STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. CINDY AS A AS A REMINDER I REMEMBER A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, WE SAID THROUGH A PRESENTATION ABOUT ESTIMATING ATTENDANCE, AND IT WAS BY CELL PHONE PINGS, BUT IT WASN'T IT THAT IT ONLY ESTIMATED AROUND 80% OF WHAT WE REALLY THINK THE ATTENDANCES AT THAT TIME. UH HUH. OKAY. BECAUSE WHEN YOU SAY 77,000 AND OCTOBERFEST I'M THINKING DID WE REALLY HAVE 90,000 POSSIBLY OKAY? YEAH. I THINK THE OTHER THING WORTH NOTHING WORTH HIGHLIGHTING. I THINK FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST YEAR THE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS EVENT THAT PAYS FOR ITSELF. AND THAT'S THAT'S A HUGE, HUGE CHANGE AND REALLY GOOD FOR OUR CITY. IT DOESN'T SPEND A LOT OF THE MONEY THAT WAS GAINED ON OCTOBER. NOT DUE TO THE DIFFERENT CHANGES THAT AMY IS AND HER TEAM HAVE MADE. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS, ALL RIGHT,

[Salesmanship Club Update on Byron Nelson]

MOVING ON TO OUR REGULAR AGENDA ITEM 22263 SALESMANSHIP CLUB UPDATE ON THE BYRON NELSON AND JOINING US THIS MORNING ARE LARRY DELVE L AND CREST PACK CHRIS PECK OF THE SALESMANSHIP CLUB, AND THEY ARE JOINED BY LEXI OK OF THE 18TH BYRON NELSON. WELCOME. GOOD MORNING.

GOOD MORNING. MY NAME IS LARRY GALES ALE. I'M A RESIDENT OF PLANO FOR 43 YEARS AND I SERVED ON THE PLANNING ZONING COMMISSION FOR SEVEN YEARS. SO THIS KIND OF DEJA VU FOR ME, UM AND LOOK, I UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS AND HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO THE CITY. SO I KNOW EVERYBODY IS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR VOLUNTARY EFFORTS ON IN THIS EFFECT, BUT IT'S REALLY GREAT CITIZENS GET OUT AND DO THAT, AND I GOT MY CHANCE IN PLANO FOR MANY YEARS AND I KNOW IT'S NOT EASY TO GIVE YOUR TIME. BUT YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE THE CITY AND WE DO, TOO. CHRIS IS A RESIDENT OF MCKINNEY. I'M A RESIDENT OF PLANET WAS I SAID, UM SO OUR PURPOSE HERE IS AND WE HAVE A LOT OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS IN THE SALESMANSHIP CLUB. WE REPRESENT THE SALESMANSHIP CLUB CHARITABLE LEXI, YOU CAN HELP ME WITH SALESMANSHIP CLUB CHARITABLE GOLF OF DALLAS, AFFECTIONATELY KNOWN AS THE GOLF BOARD, AND I AM THE CHAIRMAN OF WHAT'S CALLED THE COLLIN COUNTY LIAISON COMMITTEE. SO I AM LIAISING. THIS MORNING, AND SO OUR GOAL HERE IS TO TELL YOU WHO WE ARE WHAT WE DO AND WHY WE DO IT. AND TELL YOU A LITTLE BIT ABOUT PROGRAMS, BUT YOU KNOW, WE'RE NOT NEARLY AS PREPARED AS THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE PRESENTED BEFORE US PROFESSIONAL AND PREPARED. THERE WERE SO LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS A LITTLE BIT.

YEAH, WE'LL TRY TO TELL YOU WHO WE ARE SO UHH! CHRIS AND I ARE SUPPORTING OUR FAMOUS RED PANTS MINOR ABOUT 25 YEARS OLD AND HER DOUBLE PLEADED. BUT I'M PROUD THAT I CAN STILL GET IN THEM FROM. I'VE BEEN IN THE CLUB 30 YEARS I GOT IN IN 1992. SO THIS WILL BE MY 30TH NELSON. BAR NELSON TOURNAMENT 18 BYRON RUSSELL DURING AND CHRIS. I BELIEVE 2000 AND 17. SO THE OLD AND THE YOUNG SO, UM WE'RE AN ORGANIZATION WHERE 103 YEARS OLD. WE WERE FOUNDED IN 1920 WE HAVE ABOUT 675 MEMBERS AS MEN AND NOW WOMEN AS OF THREE YEARS AGO, WE NOW HAVE FEMALE MEMBERS PROUD TO SAY. AND SO. WE ARE AN ORGANIZATION WHO BELIEVES IN FELLOWSHIP, COMMITMENT, HUMILITY AND RESPECTFUL NOUS. THOSE ARE MOTTOES. WE TAKE 16 NEW MEMBERS EVERY YEAR OUT OF APPROXIMATELY

[00:40:07]

50 APPLICANTS. IT'S VERY DIFFICULT PROCESS BECAUSE WE DEMAND A LOT. THERE'S A LOT OF TIME AND ENERGY THAT GOES INTO WHAT WE DO, AND IT'S ALL ABOUT HEART HAVING A HEART FOR KIDS, SO, UM, IT'S A VERY DIFFICULT PROCESS TO GET IN THE CLUB. I'M ALSO PROUD TO SAY WE HAVE SEVERAL MEMBERS, INCLUDING US FROM COLLIN COUNTY, BUT NOT NEARLY ENOUGH. AND WE'RE SO HAPPY. AND MCCANN E WE. OUR TOURNAMENT IN 19 6 FROM 1968 TO 1983. THE 18 T. BYRON NELSON. WE HAVE HAD MANY SPONSORS OVER THE YEARS, BUT WE'RE THE 18 T. BYRON NELSON. WE WERE THERE FOR 15 YEARS IN 1983. WE WENT TO LAS COLINAS FOR 35 YEARS 2000 AND 18. WE WENT TO TRINITY FOREST IN DALLAS FOR THREE YEARS. OF COURSE, WE DID NOT HAVE A TOURNAMENT IN 2020 BECAUSE OF COVID AND THEN 2021. I CAN'T TELL YOU AND I'M SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF OUR ENTIRE STAFF, WHICH IS AMAZING. LEXI IS OUR DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT , BUT WE HAVE A HUGE STAFF HAS DONE A WONDERFUL JOB THROUGH COVID AND PUTS THE YOU CAN'T BELIEVE BEHIND THE SCENES WHAT IT TAKES TO PUT ON A GOLF TERM. AND YOU CAN SEE THE RESULTS. BUT I'VE BEEN IN THIS STUFF. 30 YEARS I CAN TAKE THE WELCOME AND THE SUPPORT THAT WE'VE RECEIVED FROM MCKINNEY HAS BEEN UNBELIEVABLE. AND IT'S SO EXCITING COURSE MY DRIVES A LOT SHORTER NOW COMING TO TPC GREG RANCH, AS OPPOSED TO LOST COLONIES, BUT WE'RE SO PROUD TO BE HERE. SO THANKFUL FOR THE FOR WHAT WE'VE HAD SO UM, I'M GONNA I'LL JUST TELL YOU THAT, UM. OUR OUR MEMBERS TO VOTE. A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF TIME ON THIS TOURNAMENT. CHRIS IS GOING TO TALK ABOUT WHAT WE DO AND WHY WE DO IT. BUT WHAT WE DO ALL OUR MEMBERS VOLUNTEER AT THE TOURNAMENT. AND WE ALSO HAVE ABOUT 1200 NON CLUB MEMBERS THAT ARE VOLUNTEERS WERE THE RED PANTS THERE THE BLUE PANTS. SO WE HAVE 1200 MEN AND WOMEN THAT VOLUNTEERS SOME HAVE VOLUNTEERED WITH US FOR 30 40 YEARS. SOME TAKE THEIR ENTIRE VACATION. TIME TO COME. HELP US. IT'S ALL. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS AND THE KIDS.

WE HELP AND THE KIDS WERE TRYING TO HELP AROUND THE COUNTRY AND AROUND THE WORLD AND OUR MAKE OUR COMMUNITY BETTER. AND THAT'S HOW YOU GET INTO THE CLUB IS DEMONSTRATING YOU HAVE A HEART FOR KIDS, SO WE ARE DEDICATED TO THAT WERE DEDICATED TO THE TOURNAMENT. OBVIOUSLY OUR MAIN FUNDRAISER IS THE 18 BYRON NELSON. WE ALSO HAVE A FOUNDATION THAT HELPS SUPPORT OUR CAUSE. YEAH, AND WE HAVE DONATIONS FROM MEMBERS AND FOUND OTHER FOUNDATIONS AROUND THE COUNTRY TO HELP SUPPORT OUR CAUSE. SO UM, I'M GOING TO LET CHRIS TALK ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS, BUT THAT'S WHO WE ARE. OVER THE YEARS WE HAVE BEEN HUMILITY HAS BEEN SUCH A BIG FACTOR IN OUR WE HAVE IN OUR OUR BELIEF SYSTEM THAT WE HAVE NOT. GOING OUT TO THE PUBLIC TO TRY TO EXPLAIN WHO WE ARE WHAT WE DO AND WHAT WE DO IT. BUT NOW IS THE TIME TO DO THAT. AND THAT'S WHY WE'RE DOING IT AS MANY ORGANIZATIONS AS WE CAN ENCOUNTER COUNTY, PARTICULARLY MCKINNEY. UM BECAUSE WE FEEL SO STRONGLY ABOUT WHAT MCKINNEY HAS DONE FOR US, JUST IN THE ONE YEAR TOURNAMENT. TREMENDOUS SUCCESS LAST YEAR AS YOU SAW AND WE'VE ADDED 40 VENUES THIS YEAR. AND WE'VE ALREADY WE, INCLUDING THE 18 HOUSE COMMITTEE, HEADED UP BY DAVID CRAIG. ALL THOSE VENUES ARE SOLD. SO WE ARE NOW SELLING , YOU KNOW, DAILY TICKETS AND SOME OTHER VENUES THAT ARE OUT THERE. THEY'RE MORE WIDELY ACCESSIBLE, BUT SUPPORTS BEEN UNBELIEVABLE. WE CAN'T WE CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH, BUT WE WANT TO WANT TO TELL YOU WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE DO AND WHY WE DO IT. AND THEN WE WANT TO TELL YOU HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER. AND MAYBE YOU CAN HELP US AND WE CAN HELP YOU KIDDING, BUT ALL THAT CHRIS TALK ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS. THANK YOU, LARRY AGAIN. I AM CHRIS PACK AND I'M A PROUD RESIDENT MCKINNEY SINCE 1999 RAISED MY KIDS HERE AND THEY'RE OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW, SO MY WIFE AND I ARE EMPTY NESTERS, BUT ANYWAY FOR ME PERSONALLY TO HAVE THE TOURNAMENT COMING TO MCKENNY, I'M SUPER PROUD OF IT. IT'S A HOME GAME. IT'S ABOUT FIVE MINUTES FOR ME TO GET TO THE GOLF COURSE EVERY DAY DURING TOURNAMENT WEEK, BUT LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT WHAT WE DO. SO THE SALESMANSHIP CLUB, UM HAS, AS LARRY SAID, HAS BEEN ALL ABOUT THE KIDS FOR OVER 100 YEARS. WE HAVE DOUBTS FROM THE BEGINNING BACK ORIGINALLY WITH ORPHANS AND OVER THE HISTORY WITH AT RISK KIDS IN 1997, THE CLUB STARTED AT SCHOOL. IT'S CALLED THE MOMENTOUS SCHOOL AND OUR SCHOOL IS FOCUSED ON, UM TODAY STUDENTS FROM AGE THREE TO FIFTH GRADE, AND WE TEACH THEM. A WAY TO LEARN FROM ANY OF YOU THAT MAYBE HAVE SCHOOL AGE KIDS ARE INVOLVED IN K THROUGH 12. YOU'RE FAMILIAR NOW, WITH SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING. IT'S NOW A

[00:45:02]

VERY, UM PROMINENT TOPIC, INCLUDING STATE LEGISLATION THAT HAS REQUIRED NOW THAT'S THAT SCHOOLS TEACH IT. WE WERE KIND OF THE PIONEER IN IT. WE WERE TEACHING SOCIAL EMOTIONAL HEALTH TO CHILDREN AT A VERY EARLY AGE ARE 220 KIDS THAT ARE IN OUR SCHOOL? NEARLY ALL OF THEM ARE IN AT RISK SITUATIONS. WHETHER THAT'S THEY COME FROM FAMILIES THAT ARE IN POVERTY. MOST OF THEM ARE, UM WITH DRUG ABUSE, VIOLENCE, ETCETERA, AND SO WE HAVE KIDS AND WHAT WE DO AND WHAT WE USE. WHAT ARE SCHOOL FOR IS REALLY A LEARNING LAB. SO INSTEAD OF HAVING MULTIPLE SCHOOLS ACROSS THE COUNTRY, WE AS A CLUB DECIDED IT AS INSTITUTE. LET'S MAKE OUR SCHOOL A LEARNING LAB. AND SO WE ARE ACTUALLY TEACHING SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL LEARNING TO HELP KIDS LEARN, AND THEN WE'RE STUDYING THE OUTCOMES. WE ACTUALLY HAVE RESEARCHERS AND PHDS THAT ARE ANALYZING THE RESULTS. OF WHAT WE'RE DOING, TEACHING THESE KIDS AND MAYBE EVEN HAVE BRAIN SCANS THAT WILL SHOW YOU THE DIFFERENCE OF A KID THAT'S IN TRAUMA AND WHAT THEIR BRAIN LOOKS LIKE WHEN THEY'RE TRYING TO LEARN VERSUS ONCE WE'VE TAUGHT THEM THROUGH SCL HOW TO ACTUALLY REDUCE THEIR THEIR ANXIETY AND STRESS AND ALLOW THEM TO LEARN THE OUTCOMES ARE AMAZING. OUR KIDS MATRICULATED BACK INTO PRIMARILY DST SCHOOLS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL. 93% OF OUR KIDS GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL COMPARED TO THE YOU KNOW, IN TERMS OF THE AT RISK POPULATION ABOUT 66. 89% OF OUR STUDENTS AGAIN. WE LEAVE HIM AT FIFTH GRADE ARE GOING ON TO COLLEGE AND OUR STUDENTS ARE ACTUALLY ARE STAYING IN COLLEGE LONGER THAN THE NORMAL STUDENT POPULATION, SO OUR OUTCOME IS PROVEN AND WHAT WE HAVE DONE IS WE HAVE CREATED CURRICULUM. IT'S CALLED THE CHANGE MAKER CURRICULUM, AND WE HAVE SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT COLLIN COUNTY THAT ARE ACTUALLY NOW USING OUR CURRICULUM. TO TEACH SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING TO THE STUDENT POPULATION. WE ARE LITERALLY. EXPORTING OUR CURRICULUM ACROSS THE COUNTRY, AND ACROSS THE WORLD ARE CURRICULUM IS NOW IN ZAMBIA CHARTER SCHOOLS AND SO WHAT WE ARE DOING, WE KNOW HAS AN IMPACT ON CHILDREN AND THE FACT THAT WE ARE ACTUALLY, YOU KNOW, ANALYZING, STUDYING REPORTING OUT WHAT WE DO IS ALLOWING US TO REALLY MAKE AN IMPACT. NOT JUST ON THE 20. 220 KIDS WE HAVE AT OUR SCHOOL BUT ALSO THOUSANDS OF KIDS ACROSS THE WORLD. IN ADDITION TO OUR SCHOOL, WE HAVE A THERAPEUTIC SERVICE CENTER. SO WE HANDLE ABOUT 5500 CASES OF YEAR OF FAMILY THERAPY. SOME OF THOSE ARE REQUIRED BECAUSE OF. YOU KNOW, A JUDGE'S GOT INVOLVED IN THIS, YOU KNOW IN CPC SITUATION, VLADIMIR VOLUNTARY. UM BUT THAT'S ANOTHER AREA THAT ARE THERAPEUTIC SERVICES. WE HAVE OUR ACTUAL FACILITIES IN DALLAS AND ON HARRY HINES. BUT WE SERVE NORTH TEXAS AND WE SERVE PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT EVEN IN THE NORTH TEXAS REGION BECAUSE WE DO A LOT OF STUFF ONLINE. SO WE HAVE PEOPLE HERE IN COLLIN COUNTY THAT ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OUR THERAPEUTIC SERVICES. WE ARE REALLY MAKING AN IMPACT ON CHILDREN. AND ACTUALLY IN SEVERAL INSTANCES, FAMILIES CAN WE REALLY THINK THAT WHAT THWE ARE DOING? IS MAKING IMPACT. WE ALSO HAVE A CHANGING THE ODDS. CONFERENCE FOR TEACHERS. WE HAVE 1500 TEACHERS THAT GO TO OUR CONFERENCE EVERY FALL. IN FACT, SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS THAT ARE TEACHERS IN MCKINNEY GO TO THE CONFERENCE AND THE IMPACT THAT THEY HAVE. RECEIVED IN TERMS OF HOW THEY GO BACK AND TEACH THE KIDS IS REALLY MAKING A REAL DIFFERENCE. UM SO THAT'S WHY WE DO IT. THAT'S WHAT WE DO. WHAT MAKES IT WORK, THOUGH, OF COURSE, IS FUNDING. AND AS LARRY MENTIONED, THE GOLF TOURNAMENT IS AN IMPORTANT WAY IN OUR PRIMARY WAY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR WHAT WE DO. WE HAVE SOME COUPLE THINGS THAT ARE COMING UP HERE AS PART OF THE 18 BYRON NELSON.

ON MAY 7TH. WE ACTUALLY HAVE A FIVE K FAIRWAY FIVE K, WHERE WE'RE ACTUALLY GOING TO HAVE A FIVE K THROUGH THE GOLF COURSE. SO WE ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FIVE K TO RUN IN THAT , AND THEY SHOULDN'T TELL HIM I CAN WALK IF THEY CAN. YEAH, I GUESS THEY CAN WALK TOO. THE OTHER THING WE'RE DOING AND THIS IS ACTUALLY I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU THAT THIS WAS AN ORIGINAL IDEA, BUT IT'S NOT. THERE'S OTHER TOURNAMENTS ACROSS THE SPECTRUM THAT HAVE IMPLEMENTED BIRDIES FOR MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM AND SO SIMILAR TO LIKE WALKS WHERE YOU CAN GO AND ASK SOMEONE. WOULD YOU SPONSOR ME FOR 10 CENTS A MILE OR WHATEVER . SO THE PROGRAM WE HAVE IS SPONSORING FOR HOW MANY BIRDIES ARE MADE DURING THE COURSE OF THE TOURNAMENT AGAIN. THE MONEY RAISED, GOES BACK TO THE INSTITUTE AND ALLOWS US TO REALLY EXPAND OUR SERVICES TO BE ABLE TO AFFECT MORE PEOPLE. AND THEN FINALLY AGAIN, WE ARE THRILLED TO BE IN IN COLLIN COUNTY. AND HERE IN MCKINNEY, I KNOW YOU KNOW, LAST YEAR WAS KIND OF A YOU KNOW, KIND OF SOFT

[00:50:05]

START BECAUSE OF THE COVID. BUT LEXI IS WORKING HERE, AND THAT'S PART OF THE REASON WE HAVE A COMMITTEE IS TO BILLBOARD PARTNERSHIPS TO BUILD MORE PARTNERSHIPS WITHIN THE CITY OF MCKINNEY, BOTH IN YOU KNOW. PUBLIC. PRIVATE NOT FOR PROFIT ENTITIES AS WELL AS KIND OF CALENDAR COUNTY AS A WHOLE, SO YOU'LL BE HEARING MORE FROM BLACK CNRS OVER THE COURSE OF TIME, BUT WE ARE ABSOLUTELY THRILLED TO BE HERE. SO YOU KNOW, IF YOU WANT TO WRAP UP, I'LL JUST ADD IT. WHAT WE'RE OBVIOUSLY HERE TO ANSWER CAUSE IS STUPID. WHAT'S REMARKABLE ABOUT A PROGRAM. WE'RE NOT TRYING TO HOARD THE INFORMATION. WE'RE TRYING TO DISSEMINATE IT.

ACROSS THE WORLD AND WE'RE DOING THAT. TO THINK THAT OVER 90% OF OUR KIDS SEVEN YEARS AFTER THEY LEAVE US ARE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL WHEN THAT COHORT OF KIDS AND BASICALLY 80 TO 90% OF OUR KIDS. IN AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL QUALIFIED FOR THE REDUCED OR FREE LUNCH PROGRAM, SO WE'RE TAKING A COHORT OF CHILDREN. THAT DON'T HAVE. THE ADVANTAGE IS THAT A LOT OF US HAVE AND WE'RE PREPARING THEM. AND SEVEN YEARS LATER, WE HAVE NO CONTACT WITH HIM FOR SEVEN YEARS, AND I'D RATHER GO GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL AT A RATE OF 93% WHICH IS REMARKABLE. SECONDLY WE PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO GO TO COLLEGE, SO THEY LEARN HOW TO COME AND SIT IN THE FRONT GROUP OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND INTERVIEW AND ASKED, ASKED FOR MONEY AND WE GIVE THEM MONEY, AND WE HAVE A SCHOLARSHIP FUND. AND THEN WE ALSO HAVE A MENTOR PROGRAM WHERE WE PROVIDE SOME OF OUR MEMBERS, THE LIVES OF OUR MEMBERS THAT CHILDREN'S OF OUR MEMBER OR CHILDREN WERE MEMBERS HELP THESE KIDS BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE USUALLY THE FIRST PERSON IN HIS GENERATION, MAYBE EVER IN THEIR FAMILY TO GO TO COLLEGE. AND THEY DON'T HAVE SOMEBODY TO TELL THEM. WHAT THAT FRESHMAN YEARS LONG. AND SO WE'RE HELPING THEM ALL THE WAY THROUGH THEIR LIFE, CHANGING THE ODDS. WE LITERALLY ARE CHANGING THE ODDS AND WE'RE TRYING TO SHARE THAT THE INFORMATION THAT WE'VE FIGURED OUT WITH EVERYBODY. AND SO YOU CAN HELP US WITH. WE'VE RAISED MORE MONEY ARE TOURNAMENT THAN ANY ALL TOURNAMENT ON THE TOUR OVER THE YEARS ABOUT 172 AND A HALF MILLION I BELIEVE IT IS RIGHT NOW. SO ONE OF THE REASONS IS BECAUSE ALL THE VOLUNTEERS AND A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE FROM MAKIN HERE, VOLUNTEERING AS WELL AS A TNT AND COURSE OUR OUR MEMBERS SO YOU CAN HELP US BY BY SELLING TICKETS. YOU CAN HELP US BY SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT THE GREAT WORK WE DO. WE WANT MORE MEMBERS. WE HAVE AN ENTIRE COMMITTEE. OF OUR ONE OF OUR MANY COMMITTEES CALLED THE MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE . WE WANT MORE IN OUR CLUB. WE WANT MORE DIVERSITY, BOTH ETHNIC AND GEOGRAPHIC. AND WE'RE WE HAVE AN ENTIRE COMMITTEE DEDICATED TO THAT PURPOSE. AND WE JUST HAD A NEW MEMBER FROM MCKINNEY THIS YEAR. IT'S A LOT OF WE HAVE LUNCH EVERY THURSDAY IN SOUTH DALLAS DOWN BY THE ZOO AT OUR SCHOOL, SO THAT'S NOT AN EASY DRIVE FROM MCKINNEY TO EVERY THURSDAY, BUT GUYS LIKE CHRIS AND OTHERS DO IT BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE A HEART TO HELP THESE KIDS SO YOU CAN HELP US HELP THE KIDS. YOU CAN GENERALLY ARE MEMBER REMEMBER.

APPLICATIONS ARE ANYWHERE FROM THE MID THIRTIES TO 35 TO 55. THE AVERAGE IS USUALLY IN THE 40 TO 45 RANGE FOR NEW MEMBERS BECAUSE OF THE TIME COMMITMENT, FAITH. YOU'VE GOT YOUNG CHILDREN, IT'S DIFFICULT. AND IT'S A TIME COMMITMENT. IT'S A MONEY COMMITMENT. IT'S HARD COMMITMENT. THAT'S WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR, BUT WE WANT MORE PEOPLE. MORE MEMBERS FROM COLLIN COUNTY. WE WANT YOUR HELP AND PROMOTING THE TNT, BYRON NELSON AND HELPING OUR CLUB AND HELPING US HELP MCKINNEY BECAUSE WE HAVE A HUGE ECONOMIC IMPACT ON MCKINNEY. AND IT WILL GROW AND WE'RE GONNA DO IT. WE'RE GONNA DO QUITE A STUDY THIS YEAR ON ECONOMIC IMPACT, BUT, UM WELL, CHRIS, LISTEN, MCKENNY. I LOVE MY DEVELOPED. I'M IN THE HOME BUILDING AND DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS AND I'VE DEVELOPED IN MCKINNEY. AND IT COULDN'T BE A BETTER PLACE FOR OUR TOURNAMENT, LONG TERM COULD NOT BE BETTER. SO HELP US. HELP HELP! MCKINNEY THAT'S OUR ASK FOR YOU. SO WE'RE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT WE WEREN'T NEARLY AS GOOD AS ALL THESE GUYS. MAYBE WE TALK TOO MUCH. I DON'T KNOW, BUT WE'RE HERE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS. WELL FIRST OF ALL THE RED PANTS AND THE CASUAL AND THE DRESSING. FIRST OF ALL KUDOS TO YOU FOR WHAT YOU'RE DOING. UM TO HELP THE YOUNG PEOPLE, SO THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS GOING THROUGH MY MIND RIGHT NOW. BUT FIRST OFF I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOUR CURRICULUM. HOW CAN WE GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE TEACHING, SO IT'S A TWO THINGS FAILED ON WEBSITE AND THAT YOU HAVE CONTACT CONTACT LEXI. WE NOT ONLY PROVIDE THE ACTUAL CURRICULUM, BUT WE ALSO PROVIDE. WORRIES CALCAGNO OUR CURRICULUMS IN SCHOOLS WITHIN THE KIDNEY, NOT A HOLISTIC BECAUSE WE ACTUALLY AN INDIVIDUAL TEACHER COMBINED CURRICULUM. OR DISTRICT WIDE, SO WE'RE KIND OF HAVING COMBINATION. TONS OF MORE INFORMATION. ON OUR WEBSITE. WE ARE THE MOMENTOUS INSTITUTE .ORG

[00:55:06]

. WE HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT HER FAMILY THERAPY, TOO. TON OF LIKE I WAS AT CENTER LAST WEEK WEEK BEFORE LAST THEY GOT DATE ON PARENTING EDUCATION COURSE. REALLY COOL. I MEAN, REALLY ONLINE INTERACTIVE. IT'S AGAIN ACCESSIBLE. TO AND THE WEBSITE AGAIN. THANK YOU. AND THEN YOU ALSO MENTIONED A CONFERENCE THAT YOU DO IN THE FALL CONFERENCE IN SEPTEMBER, AND THAT'S AGAIN RIGHT OUT ON THE WEBSITE. IT'S AMAZING. I VOLUNTEERED TO SUPPORT THAT AND AGAIN, SOME OF MY FRIENDS THEIR TEETH. BACK. OH, WOW. WE HAVE KEYNOTE SPEAKER WE'VE HAD MALCOLM GLADWELL AS OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER. WE HAVE A LOT OF INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS. IT'S NOT ONLY TEACHERS, BUT IT'S MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, SCHOOL COUNSELORS. WE'VE HAD IT ONLINE THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, BUT WE WILL HOPEFULLY BE BACK IN PERSON. SOON YOU TALK ABOUT HAVING TEARS IN YOUR EYES.

OBVIOUSLY YOU MADE A VERY GREAT EMOTIONAL AND WONDERFUL SPEECH. WE HAVE LUNCH EVERY THURSDAY, AND WE HAVE PROGRAMS AND ONE OF ONE OF OUR PROGRAMS EVERY YEAR IS A STUDENT. THAT'S IN COLLEGE OR JUST GRADUATED COLLEGE COMING BACK AND TELLING US THEIR JOURNEY THROUGH SCHOOL. HIGH SCHOOL. GETTING A SCHOLARSHIP GOING TO COLLEGE. THERE'S NOT A DRY IN THE HOUSE. THERE'S USUALLY 300 MEN AND WOMEN THERE AT LUNCH EVERY THURSDAY OF OUR MEMBERSHIP, AND SO IT'S VERY TOUCHING, AND IT'S SO GREAT IMPACT THESE KIDS SO MOMENTOUS INSTITUTE DOT ORG AND THERE'S A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF INFORMATION THERE. BUT LEXI WILL HELP YOU GET ANYTHING YOU DON'T SHE'S THE BRAINS OF THIS OPERATION WITH MY ARMS WE WORK TOGETHER. I ALSO WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT THAT WE, UM MENTIONED SOME OF THE WAYS IN WHICH WE WORK DIRECTLY WITH SOME OF THE ORGANIZATIONS HERE IN MCKINNEY, ONE OF OUR PROGRAMS IS WITH OUR VENDORS. SEVERAL OF OUR VENDORS, SPECIFICALLY THE CONCESSIONS AND THE PARKING VENDORS. HAVE A BUSINESS MODEL SIMILAR TO WHAT YOU'LL SEE AT HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAMES WHERE WE WORK WITH ORGANIZATIONS AND GROUPS, AND THEY CAN ACTUALLY RECEIVE A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS WHILE THEY'RE WORKING THAT PARTICULAR CONCESSION STAND OR PARKING AREA. SO WE ARE RIGHT NOW TRYING TO GET SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS IN ORDER TO BE INVOLVED WITH THOSE PROGRAMS. LAST YEAR WE HAD THE MCKINNEY MASTER GARDENERS ASSOCIATION AND THEN ALSO DEREK ROBINSON'S GROUP. THE ALLIANCE FOR EXCELLENCE AND YOUTH LEADERSHIP. I KNOW IT'S A T Y L REMEMBER THE WEBSITE THAT THEY WERE INVOLVED AS WELL. SO AND THEN WE'RE, OF COURSE, IF YOU WERE OUT AT THE TOURNAMENT LAST YEAR. HUGS CAFE THEY WE ORDERED . I THINK THE EVERYTHING, UM, BUT WE PLAYED FOR LARGEST ORDER FOR LUNCHES THAT THEY'D EVER DONE WHEN THEY FELT OUR VOLUNTEERS WAS ABOUT SIX OR 700 LUNCHES AS WELL AS THEY SOLD COOKIES AT THE TOURNAMENT, SO WE'RE VERY, VERY PROACTIVE AND REALLY WORKING TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS NOT JUST A WIN WIN. IN NAME, BUT IN REALITY AND TRUTH FROM MCKINNEY, I WOULD BE REMISS IF I DIDN'T THINK MARY FULLER AND BALD RUNS FOR THEIR HELP, AND I WANT TO OFFER TO YOU GUYS ANYTIME. IF YOU'D LIKE TO VISIT OUR SCHOOL AND HAVE LUNCH WITH US AND SEE HOW IRREVERENT WE ARE , AT ONE O'CLOCK, AND IF YOU'RE NOT DONE AT ONE O'CLOCK, THE SPEAKER USUALLY GETS A PEOPLE JUST GET UP AND LEAVE OR START CLAPPING OR THROW UP THROW ROLES AT HIMSELF. WE ALWAYS HAVE GOOD PROGRAMS AND SO IF YOU'LL GET WITH LEXI, WE'D LOVE TO HOST YOU. ANYTIME YOU'D LIKE TO COME DOWN THERE AND SEE THE SCHOOL IN PERSON AND COME TO A LAUNCH. MAYBE IT'S SOMEONE WE HAVE MOMENTOUS PROGRAMS, AND THAT MIGHT BE A PARTICULARLY GOOD TIME FOR YOU GUYS. TO VISIT BUT WE'D LOVE TO INVITE YOU OR ANY OF THE CITY FOLKS HERE. I KNOW GEORGE HAS BEEN THERE, BUT I DON'T WANT TO RISK WE'D LOVE TO HAVE YOU AND HOST YOU. THANK YOU QUESTIONS. THANK YOU. ONE QUESTION ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT. YOU SAID YOU SOLD 40 NEW, UM, THEN USES THAT LIKE CORPORATE BOX. OKAY THE CORPORATE VENUES. WE DOUBLE DECKED ONE SIDE OF 17. AND SO HOUSE 18 HOUSE COMMITTEE, HEADED BY BY DAVID CRAIG HAS BEEN PHENOMENAL. SO WE'RE NOW SELLING IF YOU WERE OUT THERE CHOCTAW CLUB AND SOME NEW VENUES THAT ARE MORE GENERAL PUBLIC SHARED SHARED HOSPITALITY, BUT THE PRIVATE HOSPITALITY CORPORATE HOSPITALITY IS SOLD OUT AND HAS BEEN FOR A WHILE, WHICH IS UNBELIEVABLE. OKAY THANK YOU. WE'RE ALL LOOKING FORWARD AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PROVIDING SO MUCH GREAT INFORMATION, NOT ONLY ABOUT YOUR ORGANIZATION, BUT THE MOMENT IS INSTITUTE. THEY DO SUCH GREAT WORK. THANK YOU. THANK YOU, ASSOCIATE. YES. ALRIGHT NEXT

[01:00:03]

CORPORATION FOR PROJECT 21-12 FROM JUNE 30TH 2022 TO SEPTEMBER 20TH 2022. I KNOW, UM CINDY HAS A FEW COMMENTS TO MAKE. UM. MADAM CHAIRMAN AND BOARD MEMBERS. THE LETTER THAT WE RECEIVED FROM JAMIE, PENTAGON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AL OUTLINES THEIR REQUEST AND THE REASON FOR THE REQUEST, BUT BASICALLY AT THINK THE PLAN REVIEW AND PERMITTING PROCESS TOOK LONGER THAN ORIGINALLY ANTICIPATED THAT THEY'VE ASKED FOR AN ADDITIONAL 90 DAYS ANTICIPATE BEING COMPLETELY FINISHED BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER. AND SO WOULD REQUEST YOUR SUPPORT FOR A TERM EXTENSION. IF YOU NEED MORE SPECIFIC DETAIL JAMIE'S HERE AND CAN ADDRESS YOUR QUESTIONS.

THE PROJECT FACE, BUT THEY DID COMPLETE THEIR WORK. BY THE FEBRUARY 28TH DEADLINE, AMPHITHEATER AND OPEN SPACES COMPLETED, THREE RESTAURANTS HAVE RECEIVED CEOS AND ARE OPEN. WHEN WE EXECUTED THE AGREEMENT, THE PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT BECAUSE THE CITY ALSO HAD AGREED TO CHAPTER 3 80 AGREEMENT. WE TIED THE TWO TOGETHER. SO WHEN WE WENT THROUGH THE PROCESS OF EXTENDING THE TERM ON OUR AGREEMENT, A SIMILAR PROCESS WAS NOT FOLLOWED WITH THE CITY THERE'S BELIEVE STILL WORKING ON ADDRESSING THAT, BUT IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE FIRST PAYMENT TO THE DEVELOPER OF HOW 1 21 MASKING THIS BOARD TO WAVE JUST THAT ONE PROVISION. EVERY OTHER PROVISIONS OF THE AGREEMENT REMAINS IN PLACE. IT JUST SEVERS OUR PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT FROM THE CHAPTER 3 80 AGREEMENT. AS REMINDER WHAT THIS BOARD APPROVED WAS 200,000 AT, UM, COMPLETION OF THE EMPATHY THAT AREN'T OPEN SPACE AND THE AND THEN, UM, AN ADDITIONAL 200,000 PAID OUT OVER A MAXIMUM OF FOUR YEARS BASED ON THE ACTUAL SALES TAX REVENUE GENERATED FROM THAT PROJECT, SO THAT WILL BE TRACKED BY FINANCE GOING FORWARD.
