AND WHEREAS LIVE, TRAINED AT THE COURTS OF MCKINNEY PUBLIC TENNIS FACILITY WITH COACH MATT HANDLING FOR TWO YEARS AND CONTINUES TO PRACTICE HERE REGULARLY WITH VARIOUS COACHES.

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE THAT I HAVE BEEN CALLED THIS SLUR. I DIDN'T HAVE A PHONE AND WAS ALL BY MYSELF. IT WAS QUIET AND LATE IN THE EVENING, AND THEY YELLED IT AND I HEARD THE ENGINE OF THE COURT HOME AS THEY WILL BUY. I WAS OVERWHELMED WITH EMOTION, BUT IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT ALTHOUGH, ALTHOUGH ONLY ONE OF THEM HAD YELLED IT, NO ONE ELSE ON THE CART SAID ANYTHING LIKE, DON'T SAY THAT, OR THAT'S NOT RIGHT. I THOUGHT ABOUT THE RECENT RACIALLY MOTIVATED SHOOTINGS IN BUFFALO AND WONDERED IF THE KIDS WHO CALLED ME A WERE CAPABLE OF KILLING OVER THE NEXT DAYS AND WEEKS. I COULDN'T FOCUS AT WORK AND WAS SUSPICIOUS OF EVERY GOLF CART. I SAW. IT WAS ONLY MY FAITH IN GOD THAT CONVINCED ME TO RETURN TO JOGGING ON JULY 4TH WHILE WAITING FOR THE FIREWORKS TO BEGIN ACROSS FROM THE NEW EMERSON HIGH SCHOOL WHILE MY BACK WAS TURNED TO THE STREETS AS I SET UP MY LAWN CHAIR, I HEARD BEING YELLED AT ME FROM A PASSING CAR. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED TO MY TEENAGE CHILDREN WHO WERE NEXT TO ME AND SAID, HAVE I JUST BEEN CALLED FOR THE SECOND TIME IN ONE MONTH AND THEY BOTH SAID YEP. THE THING ABOUT THIS INSTANCE WAS THAT I WAS SURROUNDED BY MY NEIGHBORS. THERE WERE PEOPLE ON EITHER SIDE OF US WITHIN SIX FT. AND NO ONE SAID A WORD. MY SON WHO WAS FACING THE STREET WHEN IT HAPPENED, SAID THAT THE CAR CAME FROM THE FAR LINKED TO THE LANE CLOSEST TO US AND ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND HE ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE GOING TO SHOOT US . HATE CANNOT BE LEGISLATED AWAY , SO I AM NOT SPEAKING TO YOU AS MY LEGISLATIVE REPRESENTATIVES. I'M SPEAKING TO YOU AS NEIGHBORS AND ASKING YOU TO SPEAK WITH YOUR CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS. UM THIS IS A THIS POINT OF ENTRIES INTO THE UPPER EAST FORK SYSTEM. UM WILL ALLOW US TO EITHER TREAT THE WATER, THE WASTEWATER AT OUR WILSON CREEK PLANT OR TRANSFER TO NEW SISTER GROWTH FACILITY. THERE ARE GONNA BE TIMES OF HEAVY TRAFFIC, BUT I DON'T KNOW THAT THAT'S GOING TO BE ENOUGH TO SUPPORT THE COMMERCIAL SPACE LONG TERM, BUT AGAIN, WE HAVE OVER 300 RESIDENTS THAT WE'RE GOING TO BE BRINGING TO THIS AREA AND WE HAVE A VERY VIABLE NEIGHBORHOOD THERE.
