HAVE REPORTS 22 1054 1ST STEP IS CITY MCKINNEY, MR GRIMES. GOOD MORNING, MR CHAIRMAN. MR PRESIDENT, MR. STAND IN PRESIDENT WILL SAY WHATEVER ACTING AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD MY NAME IS PAUL GRIMES CITY MANAGER. THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE A FEW THINGS WITH YOU THIS MORNING. UH, I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT MR ANDREW JONES, WHO HAS BEEN SERVING AS THE INTERIM WITH OUR MAIN STREET UM, AND OUR IMPACT GROUPS HAS BEEN SELECTED TO BE THE DIRECTOR OF THE PERMANENT OR THE REMOVE THE INTERIM TAG OFF OF HIS NAME. HE COMPETED WITH THE NUMBER OF OTHER VERY OUTSTANDING FOLKS. WE HAD A LOT OF GREAT INTEREST IN THE POSITION. IT'S ALWAYS HARD TO MAKE A CHOICE AMONG GREAT CANDIDATES, BUT IT IS A BLESSING TO BE IN THAT POSITION, AND ANDREW HAS ROSE TO THE TOP. WE HAD A NUMBER OF PANELS THAT INTERVIEWED AND HE PARTICIPATED IN AND TO ALL OF THEM THAT HE WAS HE WAS THE TOP CANDIDATES, SO WE'RE VERY EXCITED ABOUT HAVING ANDREW ONBOARD. HE'S BEEN WORKING. IN FACT, HE'S NOT HERE THIS MORNING BECAUSE I THINK WE'RE GETTING DELIVERY OF OUR CHRISTMAS TREE TODAY, AND HE'S PROBABLY MAKING PREPARATIONS FOR THAT. BUT THE TITLE IS THE CULTURAL DISTRICT DIRECTOR.WE'VE KIND OF RENAMED IT THE CULTURAL DISTRICT. UM WHICH INCLUDES THE VARIOUS FUNCTIONS, BUT HE'S THE CULTURAL DISTRICT DIRECTOR. AND IT IS OFFICIAL SO CONGRATULATIONS TO ANDREW. WE ALSO CONCLUDED THREE SCHEDULED BOND COMMITTEE MEETINGS FOR THE KIDNEY NATIONAL AIRPORT PLANS FOR COMMERCIAL TERMINAL. AND THE QUESTION IF YOU WILL, OR THE FOR THE INPUT FROM REGIONAL AND LOCAL CITIZENS TO GIVE US SOME INPUT AND ULTIMATELY WAY INTO THE CITY COUNCIL, PROBABLY IN JANUARY ON THEIR RECOMMENDATION ON BOND, WHETHER OR NOT TO HAVE A BOND ELECTION. AND IF SO, WHAT? THEY'RE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT IS ETCETERA. SOME CONSIDERATIONS TO GO WITH THAT, SO WE HAD THREE SCHEDULED MEETINGS. THE WHOLE GROUP. WE DO HAVE THE SPOKESPERSONS FOR EACH SUBCOMMITTEE WILL BE MEETING AGAIN. I BELIEVE IN AFTER THANKSGIVING TO KIND OF SUMMARIZE THE FINDINGS THAT THE INPUT WE'RE VERY EXCITED ABOUT GETTING THEIR INPUT AS WELL. AND THEN THE RECOMMENDATION. LIKE I SAID, WE'LL COME TO THE COUNCIL, PROBABLY IN JANUARY THE END OF THE DAY. THE COUNCIL HAS TO MAKE THE DECISION ON WHETHER OR NOT TO CALL AN ELECTION FOR BOND.
ELECTION IN MAY IN THAT LAST DATE, I BELIEVE IS AROUND FEBRUARY 15TH, SO THEY'VE GOT A LITTLE BIT OF TIME. TO WORK WITH ON THAT, BUT WE APPRECIATE ALL THE WORK AND I KNOW THAT SOME OF YOU ARE PART OF THAT BOND COMMITTEE. AND WE VERY MUCH APPRECIATE THAT. AND THEN FINALLY, UM, LAST THING I WOULD SHARE WITH YOU. IS THAT THERE ARE SOME YOU MAY HAVE SEEN SOME TESLA'S CHARGING STATIONS GOING UP. WE HAVE ONE AT STACEY, AND I BELIEVE IT IS AND MAKE SURE I GOT THE RIGHT LOCATION. UM IT, SAYS STACEY, STACEY AND OMA. THERE'S A SUPERCHARGER LOCATION THERE. THERE'S ALSO ONE ACROSS FROM FIRST WATCH ON UNIVERSITY AVENUE IN THAT IN THAT PLAZA. SO YOU'RE SEEING THOSE POPPING UP MORE AND MORE, WHICH IS GOOD. THE QUESTION ABOUT ELECTRIC VEHICLES ALL THE TIME HAS BEEN WORRYING TO GET THESE THINGS CHARGES THE INFRASTRUCTURE EXISTS. CHARGE THEM SO WE'RE STARTING TO SEE THOSE THINGS. POPPING UP AROUND THE REGION,
[00:05:01]
WHICH IS GOOD. THAT'S THE GRADUAL TRANSITION, I SUPPOSE FROM. I CALL IT INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES TO ELECTRICAL VEHICLES, AND IT'S GOOD TO SEE THAT SLOWLY. IT'S KIND OF FUN TO WATCH IT HAPPEN. ANYWAY WITH THAT I WILL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. QUESTIONS. OKAY.THANK YOU. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. I DON'T SEE THE LISA. WE WILL MOVE ON TO CATHERINE WITH CITIES. DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. UM MR CHAIRMAN AND MR PRESIDENT IS AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD. I GUESS WE DON'T HAVE MR DO IT. HE'S HERE IN SPIRIT. PARDON HE'S HERE IN SPIRIT. OKAY WELL, I JUST QUICK UPDATE. EVERYBODY HAS A PACKET. UM WITH ALL OF THE DETAILED GRANT INFORMATION WE TO HELD OUR ELECTION OF OFFICERS, UM, ANGELA RICHARDSON. WOODS WILL, UM, CONTINUE ON HIS CHAIR.
DAVID KELLEY VICE CHAIR. DENVER DEBORAH BRADFORD AS A SECRETARY AND I WILL SERVE AS TREASURER.
UM LOTS OF THINGS GOING ON THIS THIS FALL AND INTO THE HOLIDAY SEASON. WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO PARTICIPATING AS OUR BOARD IN A NUMBER OF THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON. I THINK WE MISSED WE SEVERAL OF US HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THE MAYOR AND HIS PURPLE SUIT FOR THE LOVE LIFE FOUNDATION GALA, WHICH WE HELPED TO PARTICIPATE, BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB. STATE OF THE CITY, BONNIE WINK CLEANUP. WE CHALLENGE YOU GUYS TO GET OUT THERE AND ADOPTED PARK FOR THIS COMING YEAR. UM AND ALSO THE MCKINNEY EDUCATION FOUNDATION GALA. WE JUST SORT OF A QUICK ROUNDUP FOR TOTALS THAT HAVE BEEN GRANTED OUT THIS YEAR FOR THE M C, D. C UM TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS WAS A TOTAL OF 22,628,000. TO THERE IS A DETAILED, UM WRAP UP OF THAT IN YOUR THE BOARD NOTES TODAY. THINGS THAT ARE COMING UP FOR, UM FISCAL YEAR 23 OR THE PROMOTIONAL AND COMMUNITY EVENT GRANTS. THAT PERIOD IS OPEN FROM NOVEMBER 1ST THROUGH THE 30TH APPLICATIONS WILL BE PRESENTED. AT THE DECEMBER 15TH BOARD MEETING AND ACTION WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR THE JANUARY 26TH MEETING. PROJECT GRANTS APPLICATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 23 CYCLE ONE WILL OPEN DECEMBER 1ST. AND THEN UPCOMING DECEMBER EVENTS. THE. ADRIATIC FRIENDSHIP , WINE WALK, MCKINNEY REPERTORY THEATER CHRISTMAS, CAROL MAIN STREET. I HEAR OUR TREE IS COMING. IT'S MORNING. I'M SO EXCITED, UM, HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS AND THEN THE CALL IN COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM THEN AND NOW CHRISTMAS IS SOMETHING THAT WILL BE HELPING TO SPONSOR THE MCKENNEY PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA ALL STAR CHRISTMAS. CHESTNUT SQUARE HOLIDAY TOUR OF HOMES EXCITED FOR THAT THE ROTARY PARADE OF LIGHTS. CHRISTMAS IN ADRIATIC TO THERE IS ALSO A PRETTY EXTENSIVE UPDATE FOR THE TOPS, BREWERY EXPANSION AND PHOTOS ARE ATTACHED FOR ANYBODY THAT WOULD LIKE TO CHECK OUT THE PROGRESS. WITHOUT ANY QUESTIONS.
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. ERIN VISIT MCKINNEY. HAD A GOOD MORNING. AARON WARNER. IS IT MCKINNEY AND EXCITED TO BE HERE THIS MORNING AND GIVE YOU A FEW UPDATES? ONE THING I WANT TO KEEP ON YOUR CALENDAR AND KEEP IT IN FRONT OF YOU IS THE DIVISION TO FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP IS DECEMBER 17TH.
IT'S A NOON GAME AT THE SD STADIUM, AND SO YOU MIGHT HAVE A LITTLE SUNSHINE TO KEEP YOU WARM . WE'LL SEE WHAT THE WEATHER'S LIKE THIS YEAR. YOU NEVER KNOW. WE ALSO WILL HAVE THE FAN FEST THE EVENT AT TUBS THE NIGHT BEFORE ON THE 16TH. AND IF YOU'VE EVER ATTENDED THAT, IT'S A PRETTY FUN EVENT. YOU HAVE BOTH TEAMS KIND OF IN THERE DOING A PEP RALLY, AND IT'S PACKED EVERY YEAR. IT'S PACKED, SO KEEP THOSE ON YOUR CALENDAR WILL BE SENDING OUT MORE INFORMATION FOR YOU HERE SHORTLY ALSO, OUR FACILITY AT 200, WEST VIRGINIA, IS UNDER MINOR RENOVATION RIGHT NOW, SO WE'RE A LITTLE DISPLACED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, AND BUT DURING THAT TIME WE ARE DOING A POP UP VISITOR CENTER ACTUALLY PART HONORED WITH MAIN STREET TO PUT A POP UP VISITOR CENTER AT THE BOTTOM OF IMPACT, SO IN THE MEANTIME, PEOPLE CAN STILL FIND THEIR INFORMATION AND WE'RE PROMOTING THAT THROUGH ALL OF OUR CHANNELS. UM BUT WE DID HAVE SOME FUN WITH OUR WINDOWS AT THE VISITOR CENTER IF YOU IF YOU DRIVE BY AND WE MADE IT A LITTLE BIT INTERACTIVE DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS SO PEOPLE CAN KIND OF PEEK THROUGH THE
[00:10:02]
WINDOWS AND SEE WHAT'S GOING ON. AND THAT'S BEEN KIND OF FUN TO WATCH. EYEBALLS LIKE POPPING OUR OUR LITTLE HOLES THAT WE CUT OUT AND STUFF. SO CHECK THAT OUT. BUT WE'RE REALLY EXCITED TO RELAUNCH THE VISITOR CENTER AS AN MCKINNEY EXPERIENCE CENTER. I THINK IT'S JUST KIND OF WHERE WE'RE GOING AS A TOURISM DEPARTMENT IS TO PROVIDE A LOT MORE THAN A MAP AND A PAMPHLET WHEN YOU WALK IN, BUT TO GET PEOPLE A TASTE OF WHAT MCKINNEY HAS TO OFFER ALL OVER OUR COMMUNITY, AND SO WE'RE GOING TO DO THAT, IN SOME UNIQUE WAYS AND WE'LL HAVE THAT READY FOR YOU ALL IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS AND INVITE YOU OUT. UM I ALSO REACHED OUT TO THE DALLAS SPORTS COMMISSION. THAT'S WHO'S HEADING UP ALL OF THE WORLD CUP PLANNING FOR 2026. THEY DO A LOT OF OTHER PHENOMENAL STUFF, TOO. THEY WERE ANY OF THE LARGE SPORTING EVENTS THAT COME INTO THE DFW AREA.TYPICALLY THEY'RE GOING THROUGH THE DALLAS SPORTS COMMISSION. I GOT A RESPONSE BACK WITHIN ABOUT 10 MINUTES THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO COME UP TO MCKINNEY. AND DO A TOUR OF OUR FACILITIES. AND SO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND WHOEVER ELSE THEY BRING FROM THEIR TEAM WILL BE UP HERE ON THURSDAY, AND MIKE KOWSKI AND I ARE GOING TO GIVE THEM A TOUR OF SOME OF OUR SPORTS FACILITIES THAT WE HAVE AND ALSO TALK TO HIM ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS THAT ARE IN THE WORKS LIKE THE TENNIS FACILITY AND STUFF. UM AND SO AS YOU RECALL, THE FRAGRANT SOCCER FIELDS ARE UNDERGOING A PRETTY MAJOR RENOVATION RIGHT NOW TURNING INTO SOME TURF FIELDS. IT WOULD BE A GREAT PRACTICE FACILITY. YOU KNOW, IF SOME OF THE WORLD CUP TEAMS NEED A PLACE TO PRACTICE AND STUFF, SO WE'RE GONNA WE'RE GONNA ROLL IT ALL OUT FOR HIM. SHOW HIM WHAT WE HAVE AND WHETHER OR NOT WE GET ANYTHING FOR THE WORLD CUP, IT WILL BE A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO KIND OF SHOWCASE OUR SPORTS FACILITIES THAT WE DO HAVE TODAY. THE LAST THING IS A LITTLE TOUCH POINT ON SOME OF THE COMMENTS MADE AT OUR LAST MEETING. WE WERE HAVING SOME STRUGGLES WITH SOME OF OUR CORPORATE BUSINESS. SINCE THEN, I'VE BEEN WORKING WITH SEVERAL OF OUR PARTNERS TO TRY TO COME UP WITH A ESSENTIALLY A PILOT PROGRAM FOR US TO ROLL OUT AN INCENTIVE PACKAGE. IT'S STILL IN THE WORD SO THE TIMELINE IS TO BE DETERMINED. BUT WHAT ONE THING I REALIZED IS THROUGH. SOME RESEARCHERS WERE ONE OF THE ONLY NORTH TEXAS COMMUNITIES THAT DON'T HAVE AN INCENTIVE PACKAGE BUILT OUT ON THE SALES SIDE OF THE OF THE CBB TO INCENTIVIZE LARGER GROUP BUSINESS, AND THOSE INCENTIVE PACKAGE HELP OFFSET THINGS LIKE TRANSPORTATION COSTS, HOSPITALITY FEES, THINGS LIKE THAT. AND SO WE WERE WORKING THROUGH THAT, AND I'VE ALSO HAD A GREAT OPPORTUNITY PARTNER WITH SOME OF THE M E D. C TEAM OVER THE PAST MONTH, I'VE GONE ON A VISIT WITH MADISON HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH MICHAEL A LITTLE BIT, SO I APPRECIATE ALL THE COLLABORATION HERE AND I LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUED TO ROLL THIS OUT AND TRY TO MAKE US MORE COMPETITIVE. ANY QUESTION. SO ERIN. THE D TWO TEAMS HAVEN'T BEEN DETERMINED YET NOT YET BEEN KIND OF TRACKING THE STANDINGS A LITTLE BIT RIGHT NOW. IT'S LOOKING LIKE THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE WE MIGHT GET SOME NEW TEAMS AND, YOU KNOW, I KNOW WE'VE HAD A COUPLE OF REPEAT GAMES HERE, BUT WE MAY GET SOME NEW TEAMS FROM FROM OUR TRAINING, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW IT COULD CHANGE AT THE LAST SECOND. THANK YOU. IN. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, JUST A FEW COMMENTS. FIRST OF ALL WANT TO CONGRATULATE THE CHAMBER ON A SUCCESSFUL LIQUOR ELECTION. SO YOU KNOW, JUST. VERY GOOD 75% OF THE PEOPLE OUT THERE. VOTED FOR IT. ALSO JUST A COUPLE OF NOTES THAT CHANGES FROM THE LAST MEETING ON THE COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS. UM JULIE IS GOING TO MOVE TO THE REAL ESTATE COMMITTEE. TO TAKE MY PLACE.
MARK DENNISON WILL BE ON THE INNOVATION. AND TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE. FOR WHENEVER THAT MEETS. AND THEN WE HAD A IT'S A VERY SUCCESSFUL EVENT YESTERDAY AT RAYTHEON WE HAD GREAT DOWN IS STARTING IN AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM WITH COLLIN COLLEGE. AND TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION. WE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THAT EVENT YESTERDAY AND AHEAD OF REALLY GOOD SHOWING FROM THE CITY OF MCKINNEY, BOTH CITY SIDE BDC. SCHOOL DISTRICT WAS THERE, SO THAT WAS A GREAT EVENT, SO WE CONTINUE TO BE INVOLVED. ON THE INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY SIDE WITH THE COMPANIES THAT WE HAVE CURRENTLY SO THAT WAS GREAT. WE'RE GETTING READY TO MOVE INTO OUR NEW FACILITY. THERE ARE ALMOND 1 21. I BELIEVE THIS WEEK TOMORROW TOMORROW, YOU'LL FEEL LIKE LIFTING SOME BOXES. UM, I'M NOT. ANYWAY MARK. LOOKS LIKE HE DOES. YEAH BUT THAT'S HAPPENING TOMORROW FOR THOSE THAT MIGHT BE OUT THERE LOOKING FOR WHERE THE BDC OFFICE MIGHT BE. THERE WILL BE AT THE BUILDING ALMOND 1 21. AND THEN LAST, BUT NOT LEAST. WE DISCUSSED A LITTLE BIT BEFORE THIS MEETING THAT WE MAY MOVE THE DECEMBER MEETING TO DECEMBER 13TH. IT'S CURRENTLY SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER. 20TH WEEK OF CHRISTMAS. UM CAMPAIGNING HARD TO MOVE THAT UP A WEEK. SO THAT'S SORT OF BREAKING. HAVE THE WEEK OF CHRISTMAS TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS, SO WE WILL
[00:15:01]
KEEP YOU ALL POSTED ON THAT AND MAKE SURE THAT WE APPROPRIATELY POST THAT MEETING AT THE PROPER[Consider/Discuss MEDC Monthly Organizational Report]
TIME. THAT'S ALL I GOT. NEXT. WE HAVE 22 1. OH 55. IMMEDIACY MONTHLY ORGANIZATIONAL REPORT.THANK YOU. CHAIR PETERS. ALICE SMART CITIES WORLD EXPO. THAT'S WHY I'M FILLING IN TODAY WE ARE SCHEDULED TO MOVE OFFICIALLY MOVED THE OFFICE TOMORROW. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH DEAN IS ACTUALLY OVER AT THE NEW OFFICE THIS MORNING, TAKING THE FURNITURE DELIVERED DELIVERY AND THEN SHE'S BACK OVER TO THE OLD OFFICE TO WORK WITH THE PACKERS. THE I T S OVER THERE TODAY.
MOVING OFF. OVER THE MONITORS AND THEN OFFICIALLY MOVING EVERYTHING ELSE TOMORROW, SO HOPEFULLY WE'LL BE HAVING OUR NEXT SUBCOMMITTEE MEETINGS AND ANY INFORMAL FORMAL MEETINGS. AT THE NEW OFFICE. PLAN ON A JANUARY OPEN HOUSE, HOPEFULLY WITH THE CDC AND CHAMBER, WHICH IS WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON RIGHT NOW, LUCAS JERRY, OUR MARKETING MANAGER IS AND THERE IS A REMINDER THAT WE WILL BE SENDING OUT. YOU SAVED THE DAY AND MORE REMINDERS ON THE HOLIDAY PARTY.
DECEMBER 14TH. AND THEN I DID WANT TO HIGHLIGHT ONE OF THE ATTENDED EVENTS LAST MONTH, WHICH WAS THE INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL OPENING OF THE SECOND FACILITY, WHICH WAS REALLY EXCITING FOR DAVID BROOKS AND HIS TEAM AND WHAT HE'S PUT INTO THE COMMUNITY OVER THE LAST 30
[Consider/Discuss MEDC Monthly KPI Metrics Report]
PLUS YEARS, SO WE REALLY APPRECIATE THAT PARTNERSHIP. NEXT IS 22 1056 MONTHLY KPI METRICS SUPPORT. NOTHING MORE TO ADD. BESIDES THE NUMBERS LISTED HERE WE ARE WORKING WITH STAFF INTERNALLY AND I THINK WE DO HAVE A SAVE THE DATE FOR STRATEGIC SESSIONS, BUT WE ARE WORKING ON UM BASICALLY REVIEWING OUR 2022 NUMBERS, THEN LOOKING AT 2023 NUMBERS AND WHAT OUR INITIATIVES WILL BE FOR THE NEXT YEAR. QUESTIONS. ALL RIGHT. WE HAVE 22 1057 CONSIDER DISCUSS[Consider/Discuss/Act on the September 2022 Financials]
ACT ON SEPTEMBER 2022 FINANCIALS. GOOD MORNING CHANCE. MILLER FINANCIAL COMPLIANCE MANAGER. WE'LL BE GOING OVER THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER. THIS IS OUR LAST MONTH OF THE FISCAL YEAR 22. I DON'T KNOW THIS PRELIMINARY AS WE STILL GOTTA DO OUR YEAR END AUDIT ADJUSTMENTS AND ALL THAT STUFF SO THEY WILL BE ONGOING FOR THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. SO, UM, EVEN THOUGH WE GO THROUGH THIS TODAY, I'LL BE COMING BACK. PROBABLY EARLY 20 OR CALENDAR 2023 SHOWING YOU THE FINAL NUMBERS AFTER THE AUDIT, AND EVERYTHING IS CONCLUDED AT THAT POINT. I'M GOING DOWN THE LIST. WE'LL START OFF WITH. WE WANT TO MOVE ONTO THE PAGE TO THE INCOME STATEMENT. NO, YOU'RE FINE. I'M I SHOULD HAVE SHOULD REORDER IT. RIGHT? START OFF AT REVENUE SALES TAX REVENUE WAS 1.82 MILLION. WE HAD A LITTLE BIT INTEREST INCOME AND A LITTLE MISCELLANEOUS REVENUE, BUT YOU CAN SEE OUR SALES TAX REVENUE FOR THE YEAR WAS 20.75 MILLION WILL LIKELY CHANGE A LITTLE BIT, WITH TWO MORE AUDIT COLLECTIONS COMING IN AFTER THAT, THAT WITH THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OF THE FISCAL YEAR, SO I SHOULD EXPECT TO SEE IT AROUND. MAYBE 22 MAYBE 21.6 SOMEWHERE IN THAT RANGE, BUT WE'LL HAVE TO SEE WHAT THESE FILES A COUPLE OF MONTHS COMING AT. UM MOVING DOWN TO EXPENSES, UM, OPERATIONAL EXPENSES FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER WAS 207,000. THAT BRINGS THE YEARLY AMOUNT OF THE 2.7 MILLION. UM THE NEXT PARTS PROJECTS WILL KNOW THAT YOU WILL SEE THAT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR I WENT AHEAD AND EXPENSE THE FULL 10.75 MILLION. WHICH IS THE KAIZEN OFFICE BUILDING. AS OF SEPTEMBER, 30TH. I REACHED OUT TO THE ESCROW COMPANY, AND ONLY I THINK 3.5 MILLION WAS COMPLETED. AS OF THAT DATE. UM OBVIOUSLY, IT'S ALMOST IT'S BASICALLY COMPLETED NOW. SO THEN THIS NEXT FISCAL YEAR, I'M GONNA HAVE TO MOVE THOSE EXPENSES OVER. THAT'S WHY YOU'LL SEE IN THE COLUMN YEAR TODAY, THE ACTUAL THAT YOU'RE ONLY SEEING ABOUT $4 MILLION IN EXPENSES. FOR THIS YEAR. I HAVE TO MOVE THOSE THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR WENT SO ACCORDING TO MATCHING UP WITH THE YEARS AND ONE DAY EXPENSE ACTUALLY OCCURRED. ACCOUNTING STANDARDS AND ALL THAT. SO JUST F Y Y. YOU'RE SEEING THE NEGATIVE 6.7 MILLION MOVING DOWN TO NON DEPARTMENTAL YOU HAVE 238,000. FOR THE MONTH OF. AH SO THEY NEGATIVES KIND OF THROWING IT OFF. BUT YOU REALLY HAD AROUND, YOU KNOW, 400,000 OR SO IN THE EXPENSES FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER. YEAR TO DATE EXPENSES WAS 15.7 MILLION. IF YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE NET, THAT'S AROUND FIVE MILLION AT THE VERY BOTTOM LEFT IS THE FIRST TIME I WANT TO BRING IT UP. IT'S FUN BALANCE. WE HAD 20.3 MILLION TO START OFF THE YEAR. WE HAVE SO WITH THE $5 MILLION AT THE END OF THE YEAR, I'M LOOKING AT 25 MILLION IN THE FISCAL YEAR HELLSPAWN BALANCE. UM LOTS OF THIS PROJECT EXPENSES THAT I'M GOING TO HAVE TO CARRY OVER THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR. TWO SO YOU'RE GONNA SEE THAT RE APPROPRIATED. YOU'LL SEE YOUR FUND BALANCE AROUND 25 MILLION PEOPLE SEE MORE EXPENSES. THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR WILL MAKE MORE SENSE WHEN I'M SHOWING YOU THE OCTOBER FINANCIALS, BUT JUST AN FO. I COME AT THE TIMING OF SOME OF THE PROJECTS THE BIGGER PROJECTS THAT WILL BE PAID OUT NEXT FISCAL YEAR, AS WAS SHOWING UP THAT WAY, SO WE'LL SEE HOW IT PLAYS OUT. BUT I SHOULD EXPECT TO SEE AROUND THE $25 MILLION FUND BALANCE THE END THIS FISCAL YEAR. WE WANT. WE WANT TO SELL TAX. SHOULD BE ALSO SORRY. THE NEXT ONE IS THE CITY COMPARISON.ALRIGHT SO SEPTEMBER THIS COLLECTIONS COMPARED TO LAST YEAR, SEPTEMBER COLLECTIONS, WE
[00:20:02]
HAD A 16.4% INCREASE. ALAN HAD A 14.6% INCREASE FIRST. GO AHEAD, 22.8. PLAYING ON HAD 11.5% SO IT'S ALL PRETTY CONSISTENT AT THIS POINT. THESE ARE INCREASES THAT WE'RE SEEING ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS. I DIDN'T SEE ANY, UM, AUDIT ADJUSTMENTS AND SEE ANYTHING THAT STOOD OUT TO ME.HE'S LOOKED LIKE PRETTY TRUE INCREASES AT THIS POINT. LOOKING AT YEAR TO DATE. MCKINNEYS HAVE 16.1 YOU KNOW WE BUDGET AROUND BUDGET AROUND 5? WE'VE UPDATED IN THE MID YEAR ADJUSTMENT OF THE 7% WERE NEARLY DOUBLE THAT AT THIS POINT. UM ALAN IS A 8.2 1ST GOES 24.2, PLANO 16.9. UM IF WE WANT TO GO ONE MORE PAGE THE LAST ONE HERE. SALES TAX BY INDUSTRY, YOU CAN SEE ALL THE VERY FAR RIGHT CALM SHOWS THE INCREASE FROM THIS COLLECTION PERIOD FROM LAST SEPTEMBER COLLECTION PERIOD. IT LOOKS PRETTY STANDARD INCREASES ACROSS YOU CAN ATTRIBUTE MORE TO CONSTRUCTION AND UTILITIES. BUT HOW IT TRENDS. USUALLY I SEE THAT AS PRETTY STEADY INCREASES.
NOTHING USUALLY JUMPS OUT OR NOTHING JUMPED OUT OF ME. THIS MONTH. IT LOOKED LIKE IT ACROSS ALL THE INDUSTRIES WAS PRETTY STANDARD, AND I'LL BE HAPPY TO STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS AT THIS POINT. IS THERE ANY WAY I KNOW TO ADD ON TO THIS WONDERFUL REPORT THAT YOU'VE BEEN PUTTING OUT? THAT'S AWESOME. IS THERE ANY WAY TO ADD PERCENTAGES SO THAT YOU CAN SEE FROM ONE YEAR TO THE NEXT? WHAT THE PERCENTAGE. I DON'T NEED THE DELTA JUST NEED SO YOU CAN SEE ANOTHER CALL TO THE RIGHT OF THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. OTHER QUESTIONS. I NEED A MOTION. I MOVED. THANK YOU. SECOND MOTION BY MICHAEL JONES, SECOND BY JULIE WILLIAMS. BECAUSE BOOTS. MOTION PASSES. NEXT WE HAVE PUBLIC COMMENTS REGARDING MATTERS, NOT ON THE
[BOARD COMMENTS]
AGENDA. ANYBODY WANT TO ADDRESS THE WORD. COMMENTS AND COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS. I THINK IT WAS BEFORE LAST ONE, BUT IT WAS A GREAT EVENT THAT LINDSTROM GRAND OPENING AND THE PARTNERSHIP OVER THERE AGAIN. IT'S GREAT TO SEE THE INNOVATION OF WHAT WE'RE GONNA. I MEAN, AS PAUL STARTED OFF WITH, UM, THE SUPERCHARGING FOR BATTERIES, THERE'S GONNA BE A WAY THAT WE'RE GOING TO NEED TO LOOK TO RECYCLE THOSE BATTERIES. AND SO IT'S GOOD TO SEE MCKINNEY STEPPING UP AND HAVING A SOME ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY THAT ARE LOOKING TO UM SOLVE THAT PROBLEM, SO IT'S PRETTY COOL TO SEE REALLY? OKAY THEN WE WILL GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION IN[EXECUTIVE SESSION]
