AGENDA ITEM 221076 CONSIDER AND ACT ON ORDINANCE CERTIFYING THE ELECTION. RESULTS OF THE NOVEMBER 8TH 2022 SPECIAL LOCAL OPTION ALCOHOL ELECTION. GOOD MORNING, MAYOR FULLER AND STATE YOUR NAME, MA'AM. RESTRAIN CITY SECRETARY TO NORTH TENNESSEE STREET MCKINNEY, TEXAS. THANK YOU, MA'AM. AMAZING AS WE'RE ALL AWARE THERE WAS AN ELECTION RECENTLY NOVEMBER 8TH AND WHICH THE VOTERS OF MCKINNEY DETERMINE WHETHER TO LEGALIZE THE SALE OF ALL ALKALOID POLLOCK BEVERAGES FOR OFF PREMISE CONSUMPTION. THE RESULTS OF THAT. ELECTION A CERTIFIED BAR. OUR ELECTION ADMINISTRATORS WAS A TOTAL OF 45,000. 238 VOTERS IN SUPPORT OR IN FAVOR OF THAT MEASURE, AND 15,000. 879. AGAINST THAT MEASURE. SO WITH THE VOTE OF 74% IN FAVOR, THE MEASURE PASSED, THEREFORE ESTABLISHING THE ABILITY TO SELL ALL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FOR OFF PREMISE.CONSUMPTION ALLOWABLE IN GENERAL TERMS, IT JUST MEANS ESSENTIALLY SOMETHING LIKE A LIQUOR STORE.
PRIOR TO THIS ELECTION, THE SALE OF WINE AND BEER FOR RETAIL PURPOSES WAS ALREADY THE ALLOWABLE MEASURE. AND I WILL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. QUESTIONS. THANK YOU, MR MAYOR, LIKE TWO RECOGNIZED RAINY.
