YOU MAY RECOGNIZE THIS PICTURE.THEY CAME TO US FOR SOME FIRE SUPPRESSION AND FACADE RESTORATION GRANT. MONEY BACK IN FEBRUARY. THE BUILDING IS FROM 1900, AS WE'VE TALKED ABOUT BEFORE I HAD A KIND OF A MAJOR FACADE RENOVATION IN THE THIRTIES. THEY'RE TAKING IT BACK TO THAT WITH THE OTHER GRANT.
THIS PARTICULAR REQUEST IS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION, AS YOU MIGHT HAVE GUESSED FROM A BUILDING BUILT IN 1900, THEN REMODELED AGAIN IN THE THIRTIES . IT HAS HAD A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF ASBESTOS. IT HAD TO BE REMEDIATED. THE APPLICANT IS ASKING FOR 14,079. TO OFFSET THE COST OF THAT ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION. IT IS ELIGIBLE WORK. IT DOES FIT INTO THE PROJECT FUNDS. SO WE ARE ASKING , RECOMMENDING, RATHER THAN APPROVAL FOR THIS, THE APPLICANT IS HERE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR HIM, AND I STAND FOR QUESTIONS NOW. QUESTIONS TOTAL COST FOR THIS PROJECT. THAT I DON'T KNOW. OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD. RED LINE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 200,000. BUT I WANT ANSWERS. BEST DUST REMOVAL. THE 14,000 IS THE TOTAL FOR THE ASBESTOS REMOVAL. I THOUGHT YOU WANTED THE WHOLE PROJECT THAT ONE. I DIDN'T GO. YOU WERE. YOU HAD STARTED TO ANSWER THE OTHER QUESTION. THE TOTAL COST OF THE PROJECT. I KNOW YOU SAID STARTED . [Conduct a Public Hearing to Consider/Discuss/Act on a Resolution Approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Agreement and Project Plan Implementation Agreement with B2 Property Leasing, LLC for 212 E. Louisiana Street Critical Maintenance Project.]
DISCUSSED ACT ON THE RESOLUTION APPROVING CHAPTER 3 80 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT PROJECT PLAN IMPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT WITH ME TWO PROPERTIES LEASING LLC FOR 2 12. THESE LOUISIANA STREET CRITICAL MAINTENANCE PROJECT. THIS NASTY THANK YOU AGAIN. OKAY SO THIS IS FOR THE CRITICAL MAINTENANCE SECTION OF THIS PROJECT YOU'LL SEE FROM THE PICTURE UP HERE ON THE ON THE TOP. THAT'S FROM 1985. THERE WAS A LITTLE BUILDING BACK THERE KIND OF METAL A LITTLE BIT OF A BATTLE TIN ROOF. ONE OF THE MAINTENANCE ITEMS THAT THEY DID HERE WAS TO REPLACE THAT ROOF AND ACTUALLY TO REFRAME OUT OF LARGE PORTION OF THAT BUILDING. TO BRING IT UP TO CODE. SO THAT WAS SOME OF THE MAINTENANCE ISSUES THERE, AND THEY HAD TO REDO THE GUTTER ASSOCIATED WITH IT, AND THEY ALSO HAD TO RING THE FRAME AND THE SECOND FLOOR BECAUSE IT WASN'T STRONG ENOUGH[00:05:04]
TO HOLD UP. WHAT WAS GOING TO GO UP ON THE SECOND FLOOR. AND SO THAT WAS THAT WAS PART OF THE WORK AND AS YOU MIGHT EXPECT, ELECTRICAL REPAIRS AND PLUMBING REPAIRS TO BE ABLE TO MEET CURRENT BUILDING CODES AS WELL. AND SO THEY ARE ASKING FOR $50,000 CRITICAL MAINTENANCE GRANT. CRITICAL MAINTENANCE GRANTS ARE $50,000, BUT THEY ARE 50 OR 50% MATCH AS WELL. AND SO THEY SPENT A LITTLE BIT MORE THAN TWICE 50,000 ON THIS. AND SO THEY'RE ASKING FOR THE $50,000 MATCHING GRANT ON THIS APP. AGAIN THIS MEETS ALL THE FUNDING LIMITS AND THE ELIGIBLE WORK QUESTIONS. I STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS QUESTIONS, MISS NESTOR. WITH THE APPLICANT LIKE TO SAY ANYTHING. THANK YOU. EMOTION. MAKE A MOTION.
