DO WE HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE THAT? CONSENT AGENDA. SO MOVE ON, MR MCWILLIAMS. DO WE HAVE A 2ND 2ND 2ND BY MR ODELL ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION ABOUT THE MINUTES ALL IN FAVOR. RAISE YOUR HAND OPPOSED. OKAY THOSE MINUTES HAVE PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. WE'RE GOING TO MOVE ON TO THE REGULAR AGENDA[Consider/Discuss/Act on the Request by Heidi and John Lario for Approval of a Historic Marker for the Property Located at 512 W. Virginia Street.]
. ITEM NUMBER HP 2023-00. TO CONSIDER DISCUSS ACT ON THE REQUEST BY HEIDI AND JUMP, JOHN IS IT THERE? LARRY. OH, THERE YOU ARE. OKAY. FOR APPROVAL OF A HISTORIC MARKER FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5 12, WEST VIRGINIA, ST PAUL AND NASTY IS GOING TO MAKE THAT PRESENTATION. THANK YOU, PAULA. GOOD EVENING. PETTY AND BOARD MEMBERS. NICE TO SEE YOU MEMBERS. TODAY WE ARE GOING TO LOOK AT A MARKER AND THEN AN H AND C APPLICATION TO SEPARATE AGENDA ITEMS FOR THE PROPERTY AT 5 12 WEST, PRODIGIOUS STREET BEING DUBBED AS THE PEARL STROTHER HOUSE. IT IS THE PURPLE[00:05:01]
HOUSE ON THE CORNER OF VIRGINIA AND COLLEGE STREET. THE HOUSE WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1919. THERE WAS A HOUSE THERE PREVIOUSLY PRIOR TO PEARL MOVING IN, AND YOU CAN SEE THAT IN THE DOCUMENTS THAT THE LARIOS COMPILED WHEN THEY SUBMITTED THIS APPLICATION. THE CURRENT HOUSE IS A BUNGALOW STYLE HOUSE OF WOOD FRAME AND PIER AND BEAM CONSTRUCTION. IT HAS A HALF WIDTH FRONT PORCH KIND OF WRAPPED AROUND A LITTLE BIT. AND THEN THERE ARE BRACKETS AND EXPOSED RAFTER TAILS ALONG IT. YOU CAN SEE IT'S GOT THAT TYPICAL, UM, FLARING SKIRT AT THE BASE THAT MANY OF OUR HOUSES HERE AND MAKE ANY HAVE AS WELL. IT ALSO HAS SOME 4/1 WINDOWS THAT YOU CAN SEE THE IMAGE YOU SEE HERE IS FROM THE 1985 HISTORIC RESOURCES SURVEY. WHAT AT WHICH TIME THEY HAD BEEN SCREENED OR SCREENING CLUES. THE FRONT PORCH THAT'S PRESENTLY NOT THERE. IT WAS TAKEN OFF PRIOR TO THIS OWNER HAVING THE HOUSE YOU SEE ON THE SIDE THERE THE WARRANTY DEED AND THE PHOTOGRAPH FOR MRS PEARL STRUTHERS PEARL STROTHER WAS THE DEPUTY COUNTY CLERK SERVING FOR COLLIN COUNTY UPON THE DEATH OF HER HUSBAND AND THEN BECAME THE COUNTY CLERK IN HER OWN RIGHT AFTER AN ELECTION IN 1933, WHERE SHE STARVED UNTIL 36. SHE BUILT THIS HOUSE WHEN, AFTER 1919 STARTED IN THE FALL OF 1919, SHE ACTUALLY PURCHASED THE LAND FROM HER BROTHER AND SISTER IN LAW BECAUSE AT THAT POINT, WOMEN COULDN'T TAKE OUT MORTGAGES.THEY COULD BUY PROPERTY IF THEY CAN PAY CASH, BUT THEY COULDN'T THEY COULDN'T ACTUALLY GET A MORTGAGE THAT WASN'T UNTIL SEVENTIES. AND SO SHE HAD HER BROTHER BY IT, AND THEN SHE BOUGHT IT FROM HIM AFTER SHE GOT A LOAN FROM ANOTHER WOMAN DOWN THE STREET SO UM, SHE PAINSTAKINGLY CREATED THIS HOUSE . PEARL NOT ONLY WAS SHE OF A COUNTY CLERK, SHE WENT TO COLLEGE AND THEN SENT ALL FOUR DAUGHTERS TO COLLEGE, AND THEY WENT ON TO BECOME EDUCATORS IN MCKINNEY. SO SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THE STRUTHERS TEACHERS. IF YOU KNOW PEOPLE THAT WERE IN SCHOOL BACK IN THE THIRTIES AND FORTIES AND FIFTIES. OKAY THESE ARE SOME OTHER IMAGES OF THE HOUSE. YOU CAN SEE THE 2/5 2015 AND 2022 IMAGE HERE AS WELL. THIS IS THE SITE FROM 1920, WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN AFTER THE STRUTHERS HOUSE WAS COMPLETED IN THE FORM THAT IT IS YOU CAN SEE. IT'S PRETTY MUCH THAT SAME SHAPE, THERE HAS BEEN AN ADDITION TO ADD A GARAGE. IN THAT BACK CORNER UP THERE AND A LITTLE CARPORT. AND I THINK YOU CAN SEE THAT WHERE YOU CAN SEE PART OF IT BACK THERE. THAT'S THE BACK SIDE OF THE GARAGE. COME ON, QUICK.
THAT'S THE END. YES SO THE GARAGE AND THE CARPET WERE ADDED A LITTLE BIT LATER. I THINK 1950 WAS THE GARAGE AND CARPORT THAT YOU CAN SEE FROM VIRGINIA STREET WAS ADDED IN 1919 85 SO AND THEN THERE'S THE BACKYARD THERE. SO THAT IS THE PRESENTATION THAT WE HAVE FOR YOU ON THIS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, I STAND FOR THOSE AND THE OWNERS DELIRIOUS ARE HERE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR THAT. THANK YOU, PAUL. HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR PAUL? I'M CURIOUS ABOUT THE WINDOWS ARE THOSE NEW OR THOSE ARE ORIGINAL WOOD WINDOWS TO WHAT CAN BE TOLD THERE THERE WOULD STASHED ORIGINAL WINDOWS. OKAY? YEAH. WHAT WHAT ENCOURAGED THE PURPLE COLOR IS THAT HISTORIC COLOR OR JUST A FAVORITE? JUST A FAVORITE TO MY KNOWLEDGE BASED ON DO YOU WANT TO COME ON UP? WOULD YOU ALL LIKE TO COME UP AND JUST WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU COME UP, AND IF YOU DON'T MIND, WE NEED TO GET YOU TO SAY YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS, UH SO THEY CAN GET IT ON RECORD. HEIDI LARIO 512, WEST VIRGINIA. WE WORKED WITH THEM AND NAMED PETER WILSON, WHO'S LIKE AN EXPERT IN CRAFTSMAN BUNGALOWS AND SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA. AND HE HELPED US COME UP WITH THE COLOR SCHEME TO BRING IT BACK TO THE TRADITIONAL CRAFTSMAN STYLE WHERE IT HAD BEEN PAINTED AND MORE OF A VICTORIAN TRADITIONAL STYLE. UM AND YOU CAN SEE LIKE THE COLUMNS OR MORE REPRESENTATIVE OF A SOLID STRUCTURE AS THEY'RE INTENDED TO BE IN THE CRAFTSMAN STYLE. AND THOSE ARE ORIGINAL SHERMAN WILLIAMS COLORS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE IN 1919 AND 1920. IF WE EVER GET A HEALTH STORM WILL REPLACE THE ROOF AND IT WILL BE DARK GRAY INSTEAD OF BRIGHT RED. AH YES. SO WE JUST WITHIN OUR BUDGET AT THE TIME, WE WERE LOOKING FOR COLORS THAT WERE HISTORICALLY ACCURATE AND WOULD KIND OF BRING BACK THAT BUNGALOW STYLE AND, UH, COMPLIMENT. MAYBE THE RED ROOF TOO. SOME DEGREE. I LOVE IT. THANK YOU. DO YOU THINK ANYBODY HAVE ANY ANY QUESTIONS OR MR. DO WE HAVE A MOTION OR MORE DISCUSSIONS. MR MCWILLIAMS,
[00:10:04]
DO I HAVE A 2ND 2ND, MR. PANTS. ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION. OKAY ALL IN FAVOR. RAISE YOUR HAND OPPOSED. OKAY THANK YOU SO MUCH. THANK YOU. WE'RE GOING TO MOVE TO ITEM. HP 2023-0043 CONSIDER[Consider/Discuss/Act on a Request by Heidi and John Lario for Approval of a Historic Marker Level (1) Historic Neighborhood Improvement Zone Program Tax Exemption for the Property Located at 512 W. Virginia Street.]
DISCUSS ACT ON A REQUEST BY HARDY AND JOHN LARIO FOR APPROVAL OF A HISTORIC MARKER LEVEL. ONE HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT ZONE PROGRAM TAX EXEMPTION FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5 12 WEST VIRGINIA STREET POLLEN. NASA IS GOING TO MAKE THAT PRESENTATION. GOOD EVENING AGAIN. SO THIS IS THE MARKER LEVEL TAX EXEMPTION PORTION OF THIS APPLICATION, THE FOR ANY OF THE MARKER LEVEL APPLICATIONS, THEY HAVE TO HAVE A MARKER APPROVED PRIOR TO GETTING THE TAX EXEMPTION. IT HAS TO BE A HOUSE THAT'S 50 YEARS OLD OR OLDER HAS TO BE OWNER OCCUPIED. HAS TO BE UP TO DATE WITH ALL OF ITS ALL OF ITS, UM PROPERTY VALUES IN CODES AND TAXES AND THINGS LIKE THAT WHICH THIS ONE IS. AGAIN THIS IS A PICTURE OF THE HOUSE. THIS TIME WE PUT ALL THREE PICTURES TOGETHER, SO IT WAS A LITTLE EASIER TO SEE. THE WORK THAT THEY DID IN ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MARKER APPLICATION WAS 10 OVER $10,000 IN FOUNDATION REPAIRS. THAT WAS NEARLY DOUBLE THAT SO THEY DEFINITELY HIT THE NUMBER THERE. UM AND THEY THEY'VE MET THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EXEMPTION PROGRAM. SO WE RECOMMEND APPROVAL, BUT WE STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. JOHN WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME UP AND TALK MORE ABOUT IT? OR YOU DON'T HAVE TO. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DO I'M GONNA OKAY. OKAY COME ON BACK. I WANT TO LEARN ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE BECAUSE THESE FOUNDATION PROBLEMS YEAH. WELL IT WAS NEARLY $40,000 AND FOUNDATION REPAIRS. I THINK. CHAD MAYBE ABLE TO SPEAK ON IT BETTER, BUT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE WAY THE WATER WAS FLOWING FROM COLLEGE STREET DOWN TO VIRGINIA , SO WE HAD TO DO SOME WORK IN THE YARD AS WELL TO GET THE FLOW OF THE WATER, SO IT WASN'T POCKETING UNDER THE HOUSE. HE SAID HERE AND BEING WITH WOODEN TREE TRACK PIERS, THE ORIGINAL BUILD UP PIERS WERE STILL THERE STILL THERE, BUT THEY WERE WE HAD THEM DO CONCRETE RIGHT. IT'S REINFORCED WITH CONCRETE. YEAH. SO YOU HAVE BOTH. I HAVE NO DARK TREES. AND SO I'M WONDERING WHAT TO DO, AND SO LOOKING AT EXPERIENCES WITH OTHER PEOPLE. TO HAVE BUT ARTERIES TO HAVE PHOTO ARK. YEAH HE CAN I CAN TELL YOU ABOUT THE PAINT CAN TELL YOU MORE ABOUT THE FOUNDATION PROVED ITS. WE'RE NOW WE'RE JUST CURIOUS OLD. THEY REPLACED MAJORITY ALMOST ALL OF THEM. I THINK THERE'S LIKE 39. CONCRETE STAND UP A LITTLE CLOSER. YES, CAN HEAR ME, OKAY? I THINK THEY THINK THEY PUT LIKE 39 CONCRETE. APPEARS UNDERNEATH THE CONCRETE JUST RIGHT ON THE GROUND. THEY DIDN'T DIG FOR IT RIGHT NOW. POOR IS WHAT YOU CALL THAT. PRETTY GOOD. HOW ARE YOU PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS? YES, SO FAR. YEAH IT'LL MOVE RIGHT? UNFORTUNATELY. OKAY. VERY NICE.YES. OTHER QUESTIONS. IT'S ALWAYS EXCITING TO SEE SOMEONE COME AND PUT THIS KIND OF MONEY INTO HOUSES AND BECAUSE, UM. I'VE ALWAYS LIVED IN THE OLD HOMES, AND THERE'S ALL IT SEEMS LIKE THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING SO WE REALLY APPRECIATE WHAT YOU'VE DONE. THE HOUSE LOOKS GREAT.
THANK YOU PASS THAT THING TWO OR THREE TIMES A DAY, AND IT REALLY HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB. WE APPRECIATE WE APPRECIATE WHAT YOU'VE DONE. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. OKAY ANYBODY HAVE ANY MORE QUESTIONS? DO I HAVE A HAVE EMOTION? TO APPROVE THE. HISTORIC LEVEL HISTORIC H N I. Z PROGRAM TAX EXEMPTION PROPERTY LOCATED. THANK YOU, MR KENT STREET HAVE A SECOND. COMMITTEE ESTIMATED. YEAH, OK, ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION ALL IN FAVOR? RAISE YOUR HAND PROPOSED. OKAY IT PASSES. THANK YOU. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING HERE. THANK YOU. APPRECIATE IT. THANK YOU. I DO HAVE A QUESTION. YEAH IS THERE ANY WAY SINCE WE MISSED THE DEADLINE BY A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO HAVE THAT APPLIED TO OUR 2023 TO DIRECT THAT SO I WILL. I WILL SPEAK TO THAT. THE ANSWER IS NO BECAUSE THE COUNTY IS HARD AND FAST ON THAT ROLE. THEY ACTUALLY THEIR DEADLINE FOR US IS
[00:15:03]
ACTUALLY MARCH. AND SO IT'S A LITTLE MORE THAN THAT. YEAH, THEY'RE PRETTY. THEY'RE PRETTY STRICT ON THAT RULE NEVER HURTS TO ASK. YES YOU GET AN EXTRA YEAR IN THE FUTURE THAT YES, THE EXTRA YEAR IN THE FUTURE. ABSOLUTELY. OKAY ALL RIGHT. WE'RE GOING TO MOVE TO ITEM[Consider/Discuss/Act on the Selection of 12 houses for the 2024 Preserve Historic McKinney Home Recognition Program Calendar.]
NUMBER 23-0329. CONSIDERED DISCUSS ACT ON THE SELECTION OF 12 HOUSES FOR THE 2024 PRESERVED HISTORIC MCKINNEY HOME RECOGNITION PROGRAM CALENDAR. POLLEN ASKED IS GOING TO MAKE OUR PRESENTATION. OKAY SO THANK YOU. SO THIS IS THE CALENDAR NOMINATIONS THAT WE DO EVERY YEAR FOR THE NEXT YEAR'S CALENDAR. THIS YEAR. WE DID A LITTLE LATE BECAUSE WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THE CALENDAR AND HOW WE WERE GOING TO MOVE FORWARD. THERE ARE IF I HIT THE RIGHT BUTTON. THANK YOU. THIS IS THE FIRST HOUSE IT'S 6 50 NORTH BENCH STREET. IT'S RECENTLY HAD SOME REMODELING AND ADDITIONS DONE. TO IT. UM. AT ONE POINT IN ITS HISTORY. IT ACTUALLY HAD APARTMENTS IN IT. SO IT'S NOW JUST ONE SINGLE FAMILY HOME, BUT THAT WAS WAY BACK IN THE FORTIES. THIS IS A HOUSE ON BRADLEY STREET. IT'S JUST ACROSS THE STREET FROM CALDWELL ELEMENTARY. YES, THEY HAVE THE RED TEAM'S. YEP. THIS? YEAH THIS ONE IS JUST ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DOWN THERE ON CALDWELL. THIS IS MID CENTURY HOUSE UP ON CAMELIA LANE. THIS HOUSE IS ON CHURCH STREET JUST NORTH OF HERE A LITTLE BIT. THIS ONE IS ON WEST DAVIS AS YOU'RE GOING WEST OF PAST THE YARD IN THOSE HOUSES DOWN THAT WAY. BUT THIS IS ANOTHER ONE OF OUR MID CENTURY PROPERTIES THAT YOU MIGHT SEE THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA, AND MAYBE NOT THOSE PEOPLE LISTENING. THE MID CENTURY HOUSES TEND TO BE ALONG THAT WESTERN AND NORTHERN EDGE OF TOWN. JUST WITH THE DEVELOPMENT THE WAY DOWN HAPPENED. THIS IS 97 FINCH, ALSO ONE OF OUR MID CENTURY HOUSES. AND THIS ONE IS 19. OH, EIGHT.GREENWOOD, ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE AND THEN 17 OR NINE WEST. JOSEPHINE STREET IS ANOTHER ONE OF OUR MID CENTURY HOUSES OF THIS ONE HAS A LOT OF LUSH LANDSCAPING AROUND IT. THIS 7 12 ARE A LITTLE HOUSE DOWN THE WAY A LITTLE BIT FROM HERE. 2 15 NORTH MORRIS STREET. 3 15 STREET. FOUR. OH, THREE. TUCKER. ANOTHER KIND OF MID CENTURY HOUSE. 11 02 TUCKER. AND THEN 12 01 TUCKER. AND 12 14 TUCKER TUCKER WAS A POPULAR STREET THIS YEAR. AND THEN 57, VIRGINIA.
THIS IS ONE OF OUR NEWER HOMES. AND THEN 4 15 NORTH WADDLE STREET LITTLE IT'S UP FURTHER NORTH ON WADDLE. AND THAT'S THE LAST ONE. WE HAVE. AND THEN WE NEED YOU SHOULD EACH HAVE A VOTING SHEET IN FRONT OF YOU. AND THIS TIME YOU WILL SEE ON THE VOTING SHEET THAT YOU CAN SCORE THEM BETWEEN YOUR FAVORITE AND YOUR LEAST FAVORITE FOR EACH HOUSE. YOU KNOW 1 TO 5, AND THEN YOU WE WANT YOU TO SCORE 12 ALL OF THEM, PREFERABLY, BUT WE WILL THEN FIGURE OUT FROM ALL OF THEM THAT YOU'VE SCORED ON THAT 18 WHAT THE TOP 12 R, AND THOSE WILL BE THE ONES THAT MAKE IT INTO THE CALENDAR. WE GO. WE CAN'T MULTIPLE PIES BEFORE. YOU CAN. CAN YOU? WOULD YOU MIND GOING THROUGH THE PICTURES ON THE ONE CAMELLIA LINE? WHAT YEAR WAS THAT ONE. THANK YOU. 1971. I KNOW 19 SEVENTIES THERE THE FIFTH OR 50 YEARS ALREADY THINK ABOUT IT. DID YOU SHOW NUMBER 12 3 15 OAKS STREET. THERE? YEAH. AND ONE THE NUMBER 11. ST. OKAY WHAT WOULD YOU JUST GO THROUGH? ALL OF THEM CAN ABSOLUTELY GO THROUGH ALL OF THEM. LET ME START AT THE BEGINNING, OK? THERE'S NUMBER ONE TWO. THREE. OR FIVE. SIX. SEVEN.
[00:20:35]
11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. 18 18 EXCUSE ME. FINAL SERVANTS TOLD AVENUE.SEVEN. WE USUALLY TELLING THEM UP AFTERWARDS. OKAY AND THEN WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH YOUR SHEETS, IF YOU CAN JUST GIVE THEM TO WENDY, AND THEN WE'LL TELL THEM UP. AND GET THAT INFORMATION BACK TO YOU. PARDON? WE DON'T NORMALLY OPINIONS ON NOW. OKAY? WELL YOU HOW DO WE ADVERTISE THAT? WE ARE TAKING NOMINATIONS FOR THESE? HOW IS THAT DONE? SO IT'S NOT NOT HAVE THAT MANY THIS YEAR. WE DIDN'T HAVE AS MANY THIS YEAR AS WE HAVE BEFORE. YES AND SO WHAT DO YOU MEAN? SO TYPICALLY, IT'S JUST ADVERTISED ON OUR WEBSITE AND THEN THIS YEAR THE LAST LITTLE BIT. WE HAVE ADVERTISED IT THROUGH OUR WHEN WE SEND OUT NOTIFY ME WITH THE WITH THE AGENDAS AND THINGS WILL WILL SAY HEY, PLEASE DOMINATE HOMES. FOR EXAMPLE, IN APRIL WE SENT OUT WHEN WE SENT OUT INFORMATION WE SENT ON A NOTE AND SAID, HEY, PLEASE. PLEASE REMEMBER WE HAVE A VOTES AND THEIR DUE ON THE 19TH OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THAT'S ONE OF US. AND SO FAR, WE'VE GOTTEN ONE NOMINATION FOR NEXT YEAR ALREADY, SO AND THEN WE ALSO NONE OF THESE HOUSES HAVE BEEN IN PRIOR CALENDAR WRECKED. NONE OF THESE HAVE BEEN IN PRIOR CALENDARS. WE DO NOT IF IT'S BEEN NOMINATED. WE DON'T BRING BACK ONES THAT HAVE BEEN ON THE CALENDAR BEFORE TO GIVE OPPORTUNITY TO SPREAD IT AROUND THE OTHER. ALMOST 5 5000 PLUS BY THE AREA. HMM. AH! OKAY THIS WAS AN ACTION ITEM. SO, YES, YOU'LL HAVE TO APPROVE THAT WE ARE FINISHED WITH THIS AND THAT YOU HAVE VOTED, SO WE'RE NOT WAITING ON THE RESULTS WERE JUST DID WE DO THAT LAST YEAR? ARE WE FIGHTING? MAYBE I DID. MAYBE DID SHE DO IT LAST YEAR? WHAT IF YOU CAN, IF YOU CAN COUNT THEM UP, WE CAN DO THAT. I HAVE NOTICED THAT SHORTCOMING OF PURPLE HOUSES. LAST IF ANYONE OUT THERE IS LISTENING WAY, YEAH, FOR THAT ONE. NEED TO GET THAT. YEAH IT'S WITH EACH DIFFERENT STYLE OF HOME. YOU CAN GET A LOT OF DIFFERENT COLORS AND SO JUST KIND OF DEPENDS ON THE ERA OF HOME. AND THEN, OF COURSE, THE ERA OF WHATEVER YOU'RE LIVING IN AND HOW IT'S YOU KNOW HOW IT'S CHANGED AND ADAPTED OVER TIME. I GUESS. NOWADAYS WE HAVE OTHER OUTSIDE DESIGN SOURCES. WE'VE HAD HOUSE BEAUTIFUL FOR YEARS. NOW. IT'S JUST NOT A MAGAZINE. IT'S A TV SHOW THAT THE CHANGES THAT.
[00:25:47]
ONE BY THE STREET. BEAUTIFUL.IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. YEAH. COULD HAVE KILLED HIM. I ASKED HIM ABOUT.
THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO DO. YEAH. WE HAD IT. HUGE ASH SPOT. TRAVEL. HOUSES. MORNING. WE DON'T HAVE MUCH COST. FIELD. POSSIBLE. GROW FAST. YOU KNOW HOW MUCH RIGHT, RIGHT. OKAY? HE WAS TELLING ME TO HAVE A GOOD TRIP THROUGH A MINUTE. DOCTOR AND SHE GOES TOMORROW NIGHT.

YES THAT ARE AT THE BOTTOM, SO I'LL JUST WALK THROUGH. FROM THE BEGINNING AND LET YOU KNOW WHETHER IT'S IN OR OUT. OKAY SO TOTAL SCORE FOR, UM , NUMBER ONE WAS A SCORE OF 19 SO THAT WOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE
[00:30:04]
CALENDAR. TO 10. BRADLEY STREET HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF 21, SO THAT WOULD BE IN THE CALENDAR. 1 43 CAMILLA HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF SEVEN SO THAT WILL NOT MAKE THE CALENDAR. 6 19 CHURCH HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF 22 SO THAT WILL MAKE THE CALENDAR. 506 DAVIS HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF 20 SO THAT WILL MAKE THE CALENDAR. 18 OH, SIX, IRWIN PLACE HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF 14 SO THAT WILL NOT MAKE THE CALENDAR. 907 FINCH AVENUE HAS A TOTAL SCORE OF 16, WHICH WILL NOT MAKE THE CALENDAR. 19 OH, EIGHT. GREENWOOD HAD A SCORE OF EIGHT AND WILL NOT MAKE THE CALENDAR. 17 OH, NINE, JOSEPHINE HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF 17, WHICH IS WHERE OUR CUT OFF LINE WAS FOR THE CALENDAR HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF 17. AND 7 12 WEST LAMAR STREET ALSO HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF 17. SO ONCE I WALKED THROUGH ALL OF THESE WILL COME BACK TO THESE TWO AND WE'LL ASK, UM, TO SORT OF DO THAT RUNOFF FROM THE BOARD ON WHICH ONE YOU WOULD PREFER TO INCLUDE 2 12. NORTH MORRIS STREET HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF 23 SO THAT WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE CALENDAR. 3 15 OKAY TO SCORE OF 22, WHICH WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE CALENDAR. FOUR OH, THREE. TUCKER STREET HAD A TOTAL SCORE OF 25. F Y I THAT WAS THE ONLY PROPERTY THAT HAD A PERFECT SCORE ACROSS THE BOARD, SO IT WILL DEFINITELY BE INCLUDED IN THE CALENDAR. YEAH. 11 OH, TWO TUCKER STREET. HOW SCORE OF 19 SO THAT WILL MAKE IT TO THE CALENDAR. 12 01 TUCKER STREET HAD A SCORE OF 20, WHICH WILL MAKE THE CALENDAR. 12 14 TUCKER HAD A SCORE OF 20 AND WILL MAKE THE CALENDAR. 507 VIRGINIA HAD A SCORE OF 14 SO WILL NOT MAKE THE CALENDAR. AND THEN LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, 14 15 WADDLE STREET HAD A SCORE OF 20. SO THAT WILL MAKE THE CALENDAR. WHEN ONE AND TWO. THEY ARE BOTH MAKING THE CALENDARS THAT RIGHT? YES, MA'AM. AND FOR ANYBODY WHO'S INTERESTED AFTER MEETING IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THE SCORE SHEET IN CASE YOU'RE WANTING TO KEEP TRACK, WE'RE HAPPY TO DO THAT AS WELL. SO ALL RIGHT, SO WE WILL GO BACK TO. NINE AND 10 SO AGAIN, 17 OH, NINE JOSEPHINE STREET. WILL BE OUR OWN WOMEN MIDCENTURY REPRESENTATION. THERE IS A LATER ONE THAT'S TECHNICALLY TUCKER RESULTS. BUT I CAN'T HAVE ON THE SAME. PAGE WITH UTILIZED TO HAVE A SECOND. AS FAR AS ITS MID CENTURY'S 11 02 SORRY TO TUCKER, ISN'T IT? MIGHT BE NICE TO HAVE TO. BECAUSE I THINK LET'S SEE 7 12. IT WAS BUILT. WHEN WAS THAT BUILT? AND NIGHT. UH 1900 THE LAST ONE. 18 OR SO UM, ALL I HAD MY CHEAT SHEET. UM 18 WAS BUILT IN 1965. THAT'S THAT'S ME. WE HAVE TO THAT ONE IS TECHNICALLY MID CENTURY. ALSO, IT'S JUST A DIFFERENT STYLE OF MID CENTURY. HMM. THAT WOULD MAKE US IF WE DID IF WE DID NINE THAT WOULD MAKE US THREE. IS THAT CORRECT? AND THEN? YEAH, YEAH. I'LL GO BACK TO THE OTHER TWO. 10 AND 900. DO YOU? HOW DO YOU HOW SHOULD WE DO THIS? SHOULD WE VOTE AGAIN? WE CAN JUST DO A SIMPLE HAND VOTE ON THESE BETWEEN THESE TWO ITEMS. ONE CAN ONLY VOTE FOR ONE OF THEM. YEAH OKAY. YOU ALREADY OKAY? SO UM LET ME GET A PEN. OKAY NUMBER[00:35:12]
NINE AND NUMBER. 10 THERE WE GO. OKAY SO YEAH. THOSE ARE EYES OR NO, YOU DON'T. NO, YOU DON'T WRITE SEVEN. OKAY, NUMBER NINE. RAISE YOUR HANDS. OR NINE. ALRIGHT THAT WAS NUMBER 10. NO HANDS. NO HANDS. OKAY OKAY. YES. SO THAT ONE'S MORE IN THIS 1.0. OKAY SO, BETTY, THEN THAT'S THE LAST THING WE NEED IS THE MOTION FROM NOW WE NEED TO MAKE A MOTION TO ACCEPT THESE 12. OUR CALENDAR, AND SO DO I. ANYBODY WANTED ANY MORE DISCUSSION OR DO I HAVE A MOTION MOTION? MR ODELL? DO I HAVE A SECOND? OKAY UM, OKAY. ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION ALL IN FAVOR? RAISE YOUR HAND.OPPOSE OKAY PASSES UNANIMOUSLY. OKAY DO WE HAVE ANY GENERAL CITIZEN COMMENTS REGARDING ATOMS, NOT ON THE AGENDA. I DON'T SEE ANY ALRIGHT, DO IT TO THE BOARD MEMBERS. OUR STAFF
[BOARD AND MANAGER COMMENTS]
HAVE ANY FURTHER BUSINESS TO DISCUSS. GOT IT. I HAVE A FEW ITEMS. OKAY SO FIRST OF ALL, THIS IS NATIONAL PRESERVE HISTORIC PRESERVATION MONTH AS SOME OF YOU HEARD WERE AT THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON OR TUESDAY EVENING, WHEN THE MAYOR GAVE US A PROCLAMATION FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION MONTH. YOU HAVE COPIES OF THAT PROCLAMATION IN FRONT OF YOU. SO YOU EACH HAD YOUR OWN COPY TO TAKE WITH YOU. AND THEN WE'LL GET COPIES TO THE OTHER BOARD MEMBERS WHO COULDN'T BE HERE TONIGHT AS WELL. SO THAT'S THAT'S SOME INFORMATION FOR YOU, AND THEN WE HAD SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT SOME DIFFERENT PROJECTS THAT WERE GOING ON AROUND DOWNTOWN. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WERE ABLE TO ATTEND LAST WEEK'S TOWN HALL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS UPCOMING FOR CITY HALL, CURRENT CITY HALL , CURRENT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES AND THE TWO PARKING LOTS NORTH OF HERE. THANK YOU FOR COMING OUT IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE A CHANCE TO COME OUT. PLEASE TAKE A CHANCE TO REVIEW THE WEBSITE FOR THAT, AND THERE'S A SURVEY ASSOCIATED WITH IT TO GET SOME PREFERENCES FROM THE COMMUNITY AS TO WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE ON THOSE FOUR SITES HERE IN TOWN, SO THERE'S THAT AND THEN WE ALSO HAD SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH SOME OF THE DOWNTOWN C. O S AND THINGS THAT ARE COMING AROUND. A FEW MONTHS BACK. YOU ALL HAD A DEMOLITION CEO A FOR PROPERTY AT CHESTNUT STREET AND LOUISIANA THAT ONE JUST WENT THROUGH THE SITE PLANNING PROCESS COUPLE WEEKS AGO. AND GOT ITS CEO AND ITS SITE PLAN APPROVAL TO GO FORWARD AND MOVE BUILD THAT THAT BUILDING CALLED THE LUMBER YARD THAT RESTAURANT DOWN THERE ON THE CORNER. SO THAT WILL BE COMING AROUND HERE SOON. AND THEN ANOTHER BIG, BIGGER PROJECT COMING ALONG ON THE SQUARE AREA IS THE PARK CHURCH, WHICH WILL BE GOING UP IN THE BUILDINGS THAT ARE CURRENTLY 1 29 AND 1 31 SOUTH TENNESSEE STREET. THEY CURRENTLY HAVE A SPACE AT 1 21 SOUTH INDUSTRY STREET THAT THEY'RE ALREADY OCCUPYING, BUT THEY ARE MOVING TO BUILD THEIR SANCTUARY SPACE AND THEY'RE BUILDING SPACE. THEY WILL BE ADDING A SECOND STORY TO THE 1 29 AND 1 31 BUILDING WITH A SLIGHT STEP BACK OF THE SECOND STORY FROM THE FRONT FACADE OF THE FIRST STORY, SO THAT THE PROFILE OF THE FIRST STORY AND THAT AREA REMAINS AND SO TO STILL HAVE THOSE THOSE SIMILAR FACADES TO WHAT IT DOES WHAT IT DID. HISTORICALLY 1 31 USED TO BE A, UH GAS STATION BACK IN THE DAY AND A CAR AUTOMOBILE SPACE THERE ACTUALLY RESTORING ONE OF THE COLUMNS THAT HAS MYSTERIOUSLY VANISHED OVER THE DECADES, SO THEY'RE PUTTING THAT BACK INTO THE FACADE WHEN THEY DO THAT, BUT IT WON'T BE OPEN IN THERE, BUT THERE'LL BE BLAST THERE TO BE REMINISCENT OF THE OPENING THERE SO THAT WILL BE COMING DOWN THE ROAD HERE IN A FEW MONTHS. I KNOW THEY'RE THEY'RE WORKING THROUGH. OTHER WORK AND THINGS YOU KNOW, DESIGN AND STUFF. BUT THOSE ARE THE KIND OF BIG UPCOMING PROJECTS THAT ARE GOING ON SO UM I STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS, BUT I MEAN, I MEAN, IT'S A DISCUSSION TIME. SO YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, JUST LET ME KNOW, BUT OTHERWISE I'LL LEAVE IT TO YOU ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS. BY ONE OF JUST GONNA SAY THAT VERY AND I WENT AND MET WITH THE LIONS CLUB ON TUESDAY MORNING AND PRESENTED . KIND OF PRESENTATION ON HISTORIC PRESERVATION. UM WHICH I NOW I'M TOLD THAT MAYBE I COULD PUT SOME MORE PICTURES OF PRETTY HOUSES IN IT AS WELL, WHICH I MAY HAVE TO DO A GOOD JOB. UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS A TOTAL OF FOUR PEOPLE FROM THE LIONS CLUB. WELL, WE HAD FIVE WAS A FLYER CAME ROLLING AS WELL. SO WE'RE GOING TO DO IT FOR THE ROTARY CLUB, TOO. SO OKAY. YEAH BUT HE DID A GOOD JOB. APPRECIATE YOU DOING THAT, TOM. WE GOT THERE. WE GOT EMPTY BOWLS TONIGHT. GOT A BIG THING WE GOT TO THIS IS A BIG WEEKEND.[00:40:03]
WE NEED TO REMIND HER BODY TO GET OUT AND VOTE. AND, UM, YOU ALL HAVE ANY ANYTHING ELSE THAT ANYBODY STORES PEOPLE WEARING GREEN? YEAH OKAY. ALRIGHT THERE WASN'T INTENTIONAL. I ALWAYS FORGET THAT THE STARS ARE GREEN. I DO HAVE ONE MORE COMMENT. IF THE REST OF YOU DON'T HAVE IT COMING. WE ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE OUR JUNE MEETING BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ANY BUSINESS PENDING FOR THE JUNE MEETING. SO THAT WILL BE A MONTH THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE HERE AND THEN WE'LL SEE YOU ALL BACK IN JULY. PARDON? GET TO BE HERE. WELL, DON'T GET TO BE HERE EXACTLY EXACTLY LIKE US SOMETHING ABOUT THAT, PAUL, WOULD YOU ON TIMES LIKE THAT, THOUGH IT WOULD IT NOT BE A GOOD OPERATOR, OR COULD IT BE AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAYBE LEARN YOU KNOW, LIKE AH, QUESTION I HAVE IS LIKE I KNOW WE ADDRESS WHEN WE TALKED ABOUT THE PROPERTY ON CHESTNUT AND, UM I THINK IT WAS CHESTNUT IN VIRGINIA, AND IT WAS LOUISIANA AND THAT CAME BEFORE US. BUT LIKE THE WHERE THE CHURCHES THAT DIDN'T COME BEFORE TO, MAYBE MAYBE TAKE MEETINGS LIKE THAT AND LEARN MORE ABOUT WHEN WE WHEN WE SEE THINGS AND WHEN WE DON'T DON'T SEE THINGS, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT TOM TALKED ABOUT WAS THE ORDINANCES THAT THAT WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE LOOKING AT AS A BOARD AND LIKE, YOU KNOW, RECOMMENDING PROPERTIES THAT NEED TO BE LOOKED AND MAYBE LISTED AS HISTORICAL. AND SO I MEAN, CAN WE AT SOME POINT CAN WE TAKE UP WHEN WE DON'T HAVE SOMETHING THAT WE ARE PASSING? YOU KNOW ON THE AGENDA IS THAT IS THAT A TIME THAT WE COULD DISCUSS AND LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR PURPOSE AND WHAT WE'RE SUPPOSED TO DO, OR WE CAN SET SOME MORE OF THOSE TIMES UP IN THE CALENDAR. WE CAN. WE CAN SET THAT FURTHER JULY MEETING.ABSOLUTELY WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ON THE CALENDAR FOR THAT RIGHT NOW. SO WE CAN DO THAT AND THAT DRUGS BRING OUT THE OTHER POINT. WE WILL HAVE THE HISTORIC RESOURCES SURVEY STARTING HOPEFULLY SOON, SO ONCE WE ONCE WE GET MOVING ON THAT WE'LL HAVE SOME MORE INFORMATION ON THAT AS WELL. SO OKAY, BUT WE CAN WORK ON THAT THE CHURCH THAT YOU DIDN'T SEE WAS BECAUSE IT'S IN THE IN THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT. AND SO THAT'S THAT'S NOT IN THE BOARD'S PURVIEW. OK OKAY. THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT IS ONLY IF YOU DECIDE TO BRING IT BEFORE US FOR THE CITY THAT WOULD GO. ANYTHING IN THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT WILL GO TO THE COUNCIL. YES, THAT DOESN'T GO TO THE BOARD. IT'S OUTSIDE OF THAT COMMERCIAL AREA OF THE DISTRICT IS WHAT WOULD GO TO Y'ALL IF WE DECIDED TO, BUT THAT ONE IS OUTSIDE OF THE COMMERCIAL AREA, IF YOU AND IF YOU GO IF YOU GO AND LOOK AT THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION RESOURCES MAPPED, WHICH I THINK JENNIFER IS GOING TO POP UP HERE FOR US, THE ACTUAL HISTORIC COMMERCIAL AREA , SORT OF LIKE AN OLD SKELETON KEY SHAPE, AND SO THERE IS THE SQUARE WOULD BE LIKE THE FINGER . THE THUMB PRINT PART OF THAT SKELETON KEY. AND THEN THERE'S THIS LITTLE PIECE THAT STICKS OUT BETWEEN VIRGINIA AND LOUISIANA THAT GOES TO MCDONALD. AND THAT LUMBER YARD PROPERTY THAT YOU LOOKED AT WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF LOUISIANA. AND SO THAT'S WHY IT'S IN THE REGULAR HISTORIC DISTRICT. AND IT CAME BEFORE Y'ALL. BUT SHE'S GONNA SHE'S GONNA PULL THAT UP. GO DOWN TO THERE AND THEN RESOURCES. AND THEN THE MAPS ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAGE SOMEWHERE. NO, LIKE LITERALLY, LIKE, KEEP GOING. MAPS AND ORDINANCES. YEAH. YEAH AND SO YOU SEE, IT'S KIND OF LIKE A SKELETON KEY THERE AND THAT LITTLE PIECE. IT'S THE PIECE THAT GOES OUT BETWEEN THERE AND THEN THERE'S A LITTLE PROPERTY. A LITTLE TINY PIECE OF PROPERTY RIGHT THERE, AND A LITTLE TINY PIECE OF PROPERTY UP JUST NORTH OF THAT. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHERE WE ARE IN THE C L G.
IS IT? C LG? WE ARE STILL WORKING ON GETTING THE PAPERWORK TOGETHER FOR THAT APPLICATION, SO THAT'LL BE A COUPLE MORE MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD, RIGHT? JUST HAVE A LOT OF RIGHT. WOULD YOU SAY GENERAL THINGS GOING ON? IT'S HAPPENING FAST. YES AND IT CONCERNS ME ABOUT MISSING A MEETING AND MISSING A MONTH JUST BECAUSE OF THE SPEED OF HOW THINGS ARE CHANGING, AND SO ANYWAY, THAT'S JUST THAT'S JUST WILL BE BACK IN ACTION IN JULY, AND WE'LL SCHEDULE ONE OF THOSE TRAININGS FOR THAT POINT, OKAY? OKAY DO WE HAVE A MOTION TO ADJOURN THE MEETING? OKAY MR MCWILLIAMS 2ND 2ND ALL IN FAVOR. OKAY MEETING IS ADJOURNED
