TODAY IT WAS FAIRLY QUIET MONTH WE COLLECTED A CLOSE TO 1.85 MILLION IN REVENUE. THE MAJORITY OF THAT WAS SALES TAX REVENUE, WHICH TOTALED 1.77 MILLION. MOVING DOWN TO EXPENDITURES FOR OPERATIONAL EXPENSES. WE HAD A RIDE AT 53,000 AND PROJECT EXPENSES. WE HAD A LITTLE OVER 21,000. AND AT THE BOTTOM FOR NON DEPARTMENTAL. WE HAD A LITTLE OVER 84,000 SO TOTAL EXPENSES FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH WAS 100 AND 58,000, AND OUR NET INCREASE WAS CLOSE TO 1.7 MILLION. AND, UH, DEMAND. I DON'T KNOW. NOT HAVE TO MOVE IT OVER TO SECOND. UM YEAH, RIGHT THERE. ALL RIGHT. SO THE MONTH THE MONEY WE COLLECTED IN MARCH APPLIES TO, UH, SALES IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY. WE HAD A 15.1% INCREASE. UH, WHICH IS A VERY STRONG MONTH. TWO FACTORS TO THAT LAST YEAR AND, UH, MARCH. WE HAD A AUDIT COLLECTION, WHICH MADE OUR YOU KNOW AMOUNT LAST YEAR, A LITTLE LOWER, SO THAT'S A KIND OF CONTRIBUTING TO THE HIGHER AMOUNT. BUT EVEN IF YOU FACTOR THAT OUT, WE HAD CLOSE TO A 10% INCREASE, WHICH IS A REALLY STRONG MONTH. SO BOTH OF THOSE FACTORS PLAY INTO THE 15.1. UM, HERE TO DATE. WE'RE AT 7.6% SO THAT'S TRENDING ABOVE BUDGET. AND WE ARE, YOU KNOW, 67 MONTHS INTO THE YEAR AT THIS POINT, SO THAT'S GOOD NUMBERS AS WE'RE GETTING TO THE FINAL STRETCH OF THE FISCAL YEAR WE'RE LOOKING AT OUR SISTER CITIES.

ALAN HAD A 13.6% INCREASE FRISCO BROKE ABOUT EVEN A PLANO HAD A 13.7% DECREASE. PLANO DID HAVE AN AUDIT COLLECTION OF FACTOR THAT OUT. THEY HAD ABOUT A FOUR OR 5% INCREASE. SO THERE ARE NO THEIR NUMBERS ACTUALLY LOOK PRETTY NORMAL. ONCE YOU FACTOR THAT OUT, UM, FIRST GOES IN ALLENS, UH, DIDN'T REALLY THE OTHER COLLECTIONS OR ANYTHING TO SKEW THEIR DATA. SO THOSE NUMBERS LOOK ACCURATE AS WELL. UM I WILL NOTE AT THE VERY BOTTOM, YOU'LL SEE THAT THE TOTAL DOLLAR AMOUNTS WE COLLECTED IS IN MARCH, SO WE COLLECTED A LITTLE OVER 7 MILLION, UM, AND IT'S JUST KIND OF GOOD TO COMPARE OUR WHOLE DOLLAR AMOUNTS TO OTHER CITIES AS WELL. SO, FRISCO WE'RE STILL YOU KNOW, WORKING CATCH UP AT FRISCO. THEY'RE AT 10.1 MILLION THAT THEY COLLECTED IN MARCH, PLANO COLLECTED 7.6 MILLION. THEY ONLY GET 1% THE OTHER 1% GOES TO DART. UM AND ALLEN IS AT 4.6 MILLION. LOOKING AT THE OH, SORRY. I CAN'T DO ONE MORE. THE SALES TAX BY INDUSTRY. YOU'LL SEE THE 332% INCREASE, WHICH LOOKS A LITTLE SURPRISING, BUT THAT WAS WHERE WE HAD THE AUDIT COLLECTION LAST YEAR. SO IF YOU FACTOR THAT OUT, WE STILL HAD A STRONG MONTH OF 40 OR 50 45% INCREASE IN CONSTRUCTION. UM, BUT IT'S NOT THAT 332% THAT IS SHOWING. UM BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT OUR INCREASE LOOKS LIKE IT'S KIND OF SPREAD ACROSS ALL THE INDUSTRIES IS THAT THAT'S WHAT YOU WANNA SEE WHEN YOU'RE SEEING INCREASES INSTEAD OF IT BEING DERIVED BY ONE INDUSTRY, WHICH KIND OF LEADS US TO MORE SUSTAINABLE, MOVING FORWARD IN SAYING THAT I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO BUDGET SEASON IS COMING UP. SO UM, WE'LL BE.

I'M SURE IF CINDY IS WORKING ON THE BUDGET AND THAT'LL BE COMING HERE SOON IN JUNE OR SO, BUT I WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. THERE ANY QUESTIONS BUT CHANCE EITHER REPORTS. WE ARE ONLY AT 2.5 MILLION TO DATE, SO THAT INTEREST KIND OF FACTORS INTO HOW MUCH WE PLAN ON SPENDING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND WITH US HAVING MORE FUNDS IN OUR, UM INVESTMENT POOLS AND STUFF LIKE THAT TO ALLOCATE RESULTS IN MORE INTEREST AS WELL. NOT LIKE I HAD AN AIRPLANE OUT OF MY BUT JUST HEADING SOMEWHERE ELSE HEADING TO MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA, AND ABOUT THE TIME THAT WE, AS THE PILOT WAS TAKING OFF FROM DFW, AND AS WE WERE HEADING OVER KIND OF THE COLLIN COUNTY AREA, EVERYTHING TOTALLY ECLIPSED HAPPENED. SO I GOT SOME PICTURES FROM THE SKY OUT THERE, UM, AND THEN GOT CAUGHT IN MONTGOMERY MONTGOMERY WITH, UH, SOME STORMS AS I WAS TRYING TO GET BACK TO THE VOLUNTEER MCKINNEY, UH, GALAS, SO I DID NOT GET TO DO THAT, BUT GOT TO SPEND ANOTHER WONDERFUL NIGHT IN MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA. UH BUT I WILL. MEN I WILL, UH, ADD A NOTE . UH, I WAS ABLE TO GO TO A MEETING HERE IN MCKINNEY THAT WAS COMING OUT OF, UM, SOME THINGS AT CORE, UH, COMMITTEE ON RACIAL EQUITY IS DOING, UH, LAST MONTH, THERE WAS A MEETING OF LOTS OF CITY LEADERS AND, UH AND , UH, INFLUENCERS AND SOUTH MCKINNEY THAT WERE COMING TOGETHER TO TRY TO LOOK AT HOW WE CAN ENGAGE THOSE WHOSE VOICES MAYBE DON'T GET TO BE IN THESE PLACES. UH, AND, UH AND HEAR THEIR VOICE AND SO WENT TO THEIR VERY FIRST MEETING. THERE'S ABOUT SIX MEETINGS THAT THEY ARE DOING AT SEVERAL LOCAL CHURCHES WAS ABLE TO GO DOWN AND GO TO THEIR VERY FIRST MEETING A FEW WEEKS AGO, WHICH WAS A FACILITATED BY A WONDERFUL, UH, ANGELA. AND SO JUST EXCITED TO SEE, UM THAT SORT OF, UM, COMING TOGETHER OF MULTIPLE CHURCHES AND ORGANIZATIONS IN THE AREA TO REALLY KIND OF LOOK AT THOSE WHO DON'T GET TO HAVE A VOICE SO EXCITED TO SEE WHAT'S COMING.

UH, DFW, THE CHINESE AMERICAN. UH UH. COUNCIL FOR DFW, AND THEY ALSO EXPRESSED THEIR APPRECIATION FOR WHAT WE HAD DONE FOR THERE, AND WE HAD SUPPORTED THAT EVENT. SO, UM, GOOD TO SEE THAT EVEN OUTSIDE OF JUST OUR COMMUNITY BECAUSE IT WAS OVER IN FRISCO. THE APPRECIATION WAS, UH UH. THEY MADE A POINT OF COMING OVER AND SAYING HOW MUCH THEY APPRECIATE OUR SUPPORT. THAT'S IT. THANK YOU. UM MUCH LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. I DIDN'T GET TO MAKE MANY THINGS THAT I'M IN HIGH. GREAT JOB TO ANDREW AND HIS TEAM IN THE ENTIRE CITY AND STAFF. THERE WAS JUST SO MANY THINGS GOING ON. AND FOR ALL OF US THAT HAD IPHONES THAT DIDN'T GET GOOD IN THOSE THAT HAD AN ANDROID OR SAMSUNG. UH, THEY GIVE US OBJECTIVES AND ASK US TO TRY TO ACHIEVE THOSE DURING THE FISCAL YEAR AND THIS PAST YEAR WE HAD GOAL THREE A, WHICH WAS IMPLEMENT INITIATIVES AND STRATEGIES, INCLUDING PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS TO ATTRACT AND EXPAND CORPORATE AND COMMERCIAL AVIATION, INCLUDING VIABILITY OF PASSENGER SERVICE.

THESE WERE DEVELOPED BEFORE THE BOND ELECTION LAST YEAR. AND SO THE LAST BULLET POINT HERE, WHICH IS COMPLETELY SCHEMATIC DESIGN SELECT CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK AND BEGIN CONSTRUCTION OF THE COMMERCIAL PASSENGER TERMINAL FACILITIES. THAT IS ONE OF THE LISTS THAT WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ACHIEVE ALL THE OTHERS, THE GENERAL AVIATION INSPECTION STATION IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. THE 40,000 SQUARE FOOT HANGAR IS PART OF THAT SAME PROJECT. THE NORTH PORTION OF THE RUNWAY IS KICKING OFF SHORTLY AND THEN, UH, THE TAXI LANE ALPHA BETWEEN B TWO AND B. FOUR IS UNDERWAY AS WELL. WE ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH THOSE GOALS THAT THE COUNCIL SET FORWARD IN TODAY'S PRESENTATION IS ACHIEVING THE NEXT STEP. THE NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE. ACTUALLY GO AHEAD AND GO TO THE NEXT ONE. SINCE I AM LITTLE BEHIND HERE, BUT I ADDED A COUPLE OF SLIDES TO TALK ABOUT THE VALUE OF THE AIRPORT TO THE COMMUNITY AND ONE OF THE GREATEST VALUES IT OFFERS TO THE COMMUNITY IS THE COLLECTION OF BUSINESS, PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES, SO BEING INTER TO REAL PROPERTY TAXES, SO THAT THE LAND WHICH MOST IS TAX EXEMPT, BECAUSE IT'S OWNED BY THE CITY, BUT ALSO THE PRIVATELY OWNED BUILDINGS ON SITE THOSE DOLLARS GO TO THE TOURS. HOWEVER BUSINESS PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES ARE COLLECTED BY THE CITY AND THEY GO TO THE GENERAL FUND. SO IN 2023. THE APPRAISAL DISTRICT DETERMINED THERE TO BE OVER 186 MILLION OF BUSINESS, PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES AT OR BUSINESS PERSONAL PROPERTY TO BE TAXED AT THE AIRPORT. THOSE AIRCRAFT AND OTHER BUSINESS AND PERSONAL PROPERTY ITEMS, THOSE PAID TAXES EQUIVALENT TO 400 SINGLE FAMILY HOMES HERE IN MCKINNEY, SO THAT'S ONE OF THE BIG BENEFITS. SEVERAL OF THE AIRCRAFT 39 ARE WORTH OVER A MILLION DOLLARS EACH. AND THEN, UH, THE SINGLE MOST VALUABLE AIRCRAFT AT THE AIRPORT IN 2023 PAID THE EQUIVALENT OF 35 SINGLE FAMILY HOMES IN TEXAS. SO AS WE BUILD FACILITIES AT THE AIRPORT, AND WE BRING IN BUSINESS AIRCRAFT, THOSE ARE THE TAX DOLLARS THAT GO TO THE GENERAL FUND. AND FUND GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS FOR THE CITY NEXT TIME. UH NOT ONLY THAT , BUT THEY ALSO FUND OUR OTHER TAXING ENTITIES MID RECEIVES THE LION'S SHARE OF THE TAXES COLLECTED AT THE AIRPORT, BUT ALSO THE COUNTY AND THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE. NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE. UH, ECONOMIC OUTPUT. THIS IS A STUDIED COMPLETED IN 2017 PUBLISHED IN 2018. IT SHOWS THAT THE TOTAL ECONOMIC OUTPUT OF MCKINNEY NATIONAL AIRPORT IS $212.7 MILLION CREATED 993 JOBS AND PAYROLL OF OVER $64 MILLION. THESE ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF THE AIRPORT. AS WE LOOK AT ITS VALUE. WE HAVE COMMISSIONED A NEW ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY. SO WE WOULD UPDATE THESE NUMBERS AND WE SHOULD HAVE THOSE RESULTS LATER THIS YEAR. ALL RIGHT, WE WILL GO QUICKLY HERE NEXT S.

KEEP GOING. SO THE ISSUE AT HAND IS AS WE ARE SEEING SUCCESS ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE AIRPORT, WHERE ALL OF OUR DEVELOPMENT IS CURRENTLY HAPPENING. WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF LAND WE CURRENTLY HAVE ABOUT 11 ACRES THAT'S NOT SPOKEN FOR, AND WE WANT TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE THE PLANS IN PLACE FOR THE NEXT PHASE OF THE PROPERTY, WHICH HAPPENS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE CITY PURCHASE 190 ACRES OF WHICH 123 IS READILY AVAILABLE FOR THE AIRPORT TO DEVELOP. THE PROBLEM IS INFRASTRUCTURE. WE DON'T HAVE THE TAXIWAYS, RAMP SPACES INFRASTRUCTURE NECESSARY TO

COUPLE OPTIONS COULD BE GENERAL AVIATION NEXT SLIDE COULD BE COMMERCIAL AVIATION, AS WE HAVE TALKED ABOUT OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS COULD BE DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR THE EAST SIDE TO BE EITHER WHAT WAS PLANNED PREVIOUSLY, WHICH IS THE BLUE BOX AND PARKING LOTS. UH OR IT COULD BE THE MAROON BOXES, WHICH IS WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT, UM, DEVELOPING THAT CONCEPT NOW, WHICH IS A PHASE ONE OR PROOF OF CONCEPT TERMINAL, WHICH WOULD BE FAR CHEAPER TO DEVELOP. UH, BUT MOST LIKELY IT WOULD BE SOME COMBINATION OF THE TWO AND SO WE ARE ASKING FOR DESIGN FUNDS CURRENTLY TO PLAN WHAT THE EAST SIDE IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE, BUT ALSO TO DEVELOP THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. SO WE WILL BE SHOVEL READY IF WE HAVE OPPORTUNITIES WHETHER IT BE COMMERCIAL AIR SERVICE. OR GENERAL AVIATION OPPORTUNITIES. OVERALL THE ENGINEERING AND PLANNING COSTS ARE 5.3 JUST UNDER $5.4 MILLION STATE STATUTE LIMITS THE ABILITY OF BOTH THE C AND CDC TO FUND CERTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS SPECIFICALLY AT AIRPORTS. THAT IS THE REASON FOR THE BREAKOUT BETWEEN THE TWO AMOUNTS. THE DC WILL BE FUNDING DESIGN AND PLANNING OF ROADWAYS, PARKING AND INFRASTRUCTURE, UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE, AND WE ARE ASKING FOR A GRANT FROM THE CDC TO FIND IMPROVEMENTS SUCH AS TAX AWAYS, APRONS AND AIRPORT FACILITIES, WHICH COULD BE HANGARS TERMINALS AT THOSE TYPES OF OPPORTUNITIES ON THE EAST SIDE. SO JUST TO BE CLEAR. THIS IS FOR PLANNING AND DESIGN ONLY. THERE'S NO CONSTRUCTION COMING OUT OF THIS, SO WE HAD TALKED PREVIOUSLY ABOUT HAVING SOME DOLLARS TO START CONSTRUCTION.

WE WANTED TO ONLY TAKE THIS DESIGN STEP AT THIS TIME. FRANKLY WE DO NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE DESIGN IS GOING TO GIVE US. WE HAVE SOME CONCEPTS THAT WE HAVE KICKED AROUND. ONCE WE HAVE THE DESIGN READY, AND WE HAVE DOCUMENTATION AND CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS READY FOR CONSTRUCTION. WE WILL HAVE TO DETERMINE HOW TO FUND THE CONSTRUCTION AS NEXT STEP OCCURS AND YOUR REQUEST TO DC 1.7 MILLION. WAS THAT MADE TO THEM THIS WEEK AT THEIR MEETING OR IS THAT THEY GRANTED THAT REQUEST THERE BE WAS LAST WEEK. ACTUALLY, THEY OK, THEY GRANTED THAT REQUEST LETTER. UM AND THEN ASSUMING APPROVAL FROM THIS BOARD. WHAT IS THE TIMELINE? FOR BOTH THE DESIGN. HOW LONG WILL THAT TAKE? AND THEN WHEN YOU RECEIVE THAT DESIGN WHAT'S THE TIMELINE BEYOND THAT? IS THERE GOING TO BE ANY MOVEMENT ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN DESIGN UNTIL DESIGN IS COMPLETED? THE FIRST PART OF YOUR QUESTION ON TIMELINE, SO WE ARE LOOKING TO HAVE VARIOUS COMPONENTS OF THIS HAVE DIFFERENT TIMELINES. WE ARE LOOKING TO HAVE ALL OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGNED AND READY FOR CONSTRUCTION BY PROBABLY THIS TIME NEXT YEAR, SO ABOUT 12 MONTH PERIOD, SOME OF THEM WOULD BE MUCH QUICKER THAN THAT. BUT OTHER PARTS ARE MORE COMPLICATED AND TAKE A LITTLE MORE EFFORT. THE SECRETARY QUESTION ON OTHER THINGS THAT ARE ONGOING. CURRENTLY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS SEVERAL GRAND OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AIRPORT INFRASTRUCTURE AT NATIONAL AIRPORTS, SO AS WE ARE GOING FORWARD WITH THE DESIGN AND HASHING OUT WHAT IT IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE WE'RE GOING TO BE MAKING APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT PROGRAMS. IN FACT, WE ARE LOOKING CURRENTLY TO A GRANT FOR 714.01 MILLION DOLLARS IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION COSTS.

SO WE WOULD BE MOVING FORWARD WITH THAT. WE'RE ALSO INVESTIGATING OTHER FUNDING RESOURCES FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. SPECIFICALLY THE TIA LOAN PROGRAM AND WE WILL BE REPORTING BACK TO THE COUNCIL AND TO THE TWO IN BOARDS ON THE, UH PROGRESS OF THAT AS WELL.

THAT'S A LOW INTEREST LOAN PROGRAM THAT THE GOVERNMENT OFFERS FOR VARIOUS TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS. THEY JUST ADDED AIRPORT IMPROVEMENTS TO THAT LOAN PROGRAM, AND IT WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS FOR THE CITY TO TAKE IT. TAKE THAT PROGRAM AND RUN WITH IT, UH, GIVEN THAT THE INTEREST RATES ARE ABOUT HALF OF WHAT WE WOULD BE PAYING FOR ANY OTHER TYPE OF DEBT ISSUANCE. IN THESE PROJECTS HAVE TO BE COMPLETED. TO KEEP THE AIRPORT MOVING FORWARD BECAUSE I KNOW EVERY TIME WE ON THE AVIATION SIDE EVERY TIME WE BUILD NEW

THOSE PROPERTIES, SPECIFICALLY THE VERY SOUTHERNMOST PROPERTY ARE NOT CURRENTLY, UH, ACCESSIBLE WITH INFRASTRUCTURE. WE WOULD HAVE TO TELL THEM WELL, WE CAN WE CAN ACCOMMODATE YOU. BUT FIRST WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH A YEAR OF DESIGN WORK. WE HAVE TO FUND THE PROJECT AND THEN WE CAN CONSTRUCT IT AT THAT POINT, THEY THEY TYPICALLY IN OUR HISTORY HAVE GONE TO ALLIANCE AIRPORT WHO ARE COMPETING WITH FOR THAT BUSINESS. WHO HAVE READILY DEVELOPABLE SITES. SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, DEVELOPMENT OF THE EAST SIDE IS IMPORTANT FOR US TO CONTINUE THE GROWTH OF THE AIRPORT SPECIFICALLY FOR THAT NEXT CORPORATE ENTITY THAT'S GONNA COME IN. LOOKING FOR A SITE. AND THOSE CORPORATIONS WHO POSSIBLY WILL COME HERE. IN. THEY DO NOT WISH TO FUND THAT DEBT. SO THE COUNCIL HAS LOOKED INTO OTHER OPTIONS AND COMMERCIAL AVIATION IS ONE OF THOSE OPTIONS, HOWEVER. WITH THE LAND MASS. WE HAVE ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE AIRPORT. WE HAVE LAND AVAILABLE FOR BOTH COMMERCIAL AND GENERAL AVIATION. A LOT OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE THAT'S NECESSARY TO MAKE EITHER OF THOSE WORK OR THE SAME THINGS. WE NEED TO BUILD TAXIWAY, CHARLIE. WE NEED TO BUILD THE PERPENDICULAR TAXIWAYS AND THE RAMP SPACES TO OPEN UP THOSE PROPERTIES FOR DEVELOPMENT. WE PLAN ON WORKING WITH OUR ENGINEERING FIRM TO COME UP WITH A CONCEPT THAT WILL ALLOW US TO DO BOTH AS WE ARE CONTINUING TO MOVE. FORWARD WITH COMMERCIAL AVIATION. AND THIS IS MY OPINION. COMMERCIAL AVIATION WILL HAPPEN IN MCKINNEY, WHETHER IT'S IN TWO YEARS AND FIVE YEARS AND 20 YEARS, TKI IS GOING TO HAVE COMMERCIAL SERVICE OF SOME SORT. WE WANT TO PLAN FOR THAT FUTURE. IT'S UH A POSITIVE FOR THE COMMUNITY, AND IT IS SOMETHING THAT THE COUNCIL HAS DIRECTED US TO MOVE FORWARD ON.

IN DOING THAT IF WE LOCATE THOSE TERMINALS, APPROPRIATELY THAT IS GOING TO LEAVE US. 100 ACRES THAT WOULD GET DEVELOPED FOR GENERAL AVIATION. AND THE EXAMPLE THAT THAT I WOULD GIVE IS WE HAD A LOCAL GROUP. WAS CURRENTLY OPERATING AT LOVE FIELD, AND THEY WERE LOOKING TO MOVE THEIR OPERATIONS HERE, AND THEY WERE A AN MR MAINTENANCE REPAIR OVERHAUL FACILITY THAT TOOK PRIVATE JETS AND THEY FINISHED OUT THE INTERIOR OF THOSE JETS. UH, WE WERE WORKING WITH THEM. WE HAD PROPER SET ASIDE DOWN ON THAT FAR SOUTH SIDE. WE THOUGHT THEY WERE VERY INTERESTED IN MCKINNEY. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT EMPLOYER, BRINGING MANY JOBS, A LOT OF ECONOMIC IMPACT TO THE COMMUNITY , BUT BECAUSE WE WEREN'T READILY DEVELOPABLE. THEY CHOSE TO GO TO ALLIANCE AIRPORT. THE NEXT ONE OF THOSE THAT COMES THROUGH THE DOOR AND LOOKS FOR LAND. WE WANT TO HAVE THE LAND READY TO WHERE IF THEY WANT TO BUILD THEIR HANGARS, WE HAVE GOT LAND READY FOR THEM TO GO. AND SO THAT'S THAT'S THE GOAL ON THE G A SIDE OK, SO JUST TO CLARIFY THERE IS NO DESIGN OF ANY FACILITY OR TERMINAL OR ANY COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE WHATSOEVER. THIS IS

WE'LL START WITH A LITTLE HISTORY HERE, UM WE FIRST CONSTRUCTED THIS WATER TOWER BACK IN 1953. IT WAS 100 AND 54 FT. TALL THEY HAD TO RAISE THAT ELEVATION 12 YEARS LATER, 29 FT.

TO BETTER SERVE THE COMMUNITY. WE DID SOME RENOVATIONS AND REPAIRS THROUGHOUT, YOU KNOW, THE EIGHTIES AND NINETIES AND THEN IN 22,003, THE TANK WAS DECOMMISSIONED AND REMOVED FROM THE WATER SYSTEM AND WE HAVE THREE PRESSURE PLANES. THE ELEVATION OF THIS WATER TOWER DID NOT SERVE. TO WORK WITH THOSE PRESSURE PLANES, SO WE TOOK IT OUT OF SERVICE. BUT WE LEFT IT THERE TO BE AN ICON. UM, THE THROUGHOUT THE 2014 2020. WE'VE IDENTIFIED SOME ISSUES.

YOU KNOW, THERE'S RUSTING THAT IS HAPPENING ON THE TANK. THERE WAS SOME STRUCTURAL ISSUES IDENTIFIED. WE ALSO HAVE SOME LEAD BASED PAINT THAT'S ON THAT TANK THAT IS FLAKED OFF AND NOW IS CONTAMINATED THE SOIL BELOW. UM AND SO WE NEED TO DO SOME, UM , SOME REPAIRS OUT THERE SOME FUN FACT ABOUT THE, UM IT'S ACTUALLY THE STEEL MADE FOR THE TANK WAS MADE. THE SAME COMPANY MADE THE STEEL FOR THE ST LOUIS GATEWAY ARCH. SO, UH, A LITTLE TRIVIA FOR YOU. UM WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO OUT THERE? WE'RE GONNA DO FIRST AND FOREMOST ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION, SO WE'RE GOING TO EXCAVATE THE SOIL UNDERNEATH THE TANK AND REMOVE YOU KNOW ANY OF THAT SOIL THAT'S BEEN CONTAINED BY THE LEAD PAINT. WE'RE ALSO GOING TO PUT A SHROUD UP AROUND THE TANK. WE'LL SANDBLAST IT. REMOVE ALL THE LEAD BASED PAINT SO WE CAN TREAT IT. WE'RE GONNA, UH, REPAINT IT.

WE'LL DO STRUCTURAL REPAIRS. RIGHT NOW. THERE IS A LADDER SYSTEM ON ONE OF THE LEGS THAT GOES UP. WE'RE GOING TO ACTUALLY MOVE THAT INTO SINCE THE, UH THE LINE THAT FEEDS THE TANK IN THE MIDDLE IS NOW NOT BEING USED AT ALL. WE'RE GOING TO MOVE THE LADDER INSIDE OF THAT AREA, SO YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SEE THAT LADDER FROM THE EXTERIOR INTO A MORE KIND OF CLEANING UP THE LOOK OF THE TANK. UM AND THEN, YOU KNOW, WE ALL HAVE ONE CELLULAR PROVIDER UP THERE NOW, UM, BUT THERE'S A LOT OF JUNK UP THERE ALONG THE CAT. UH, CATWALK. WE'RE GONNA REMOVE ALL THAT MAKE IT A LITTLE BIT MORE ATTRACTIVE. UM WE ARE ALSO GOING TO REMOVE ALL THE EQUIPMENT FROM THE GROUND LEVEL THAT WE CAN.
