ACTUALLY, ALL THREE OF THEM WILL BE BOXING IN THE IN THE STATE. SILVER GLOVES ON THE 21ST, 22ND, 23RD AND 24TH OF THIS MONTH. RIGHT NOW WE STILL GOT 11 DAYS FOR THEM. WE GOT 159 BOXERS COMING FROM ALL OVER THE STATE OF TEXAS, AND WE'RE STILL GETTING CALLS. WE GOT 25 FEMALES, WHICH WILL BE ABOUT. WE GOT FIVE BOUTS OUT OF THOSE, A TOTAL. BUT BRADEN RUNS CROSS COUNTRY AND DAVID RUNS CROSS COUNTRY. AND IF ANYBODY WANTS TO RUN AGAINST HIM, MY MONEY'S ON HIM. HE AIN'T LOST A RACE YET SINCE ALL YEAR IN SCHOOL. AND HE HAD ONE YOUNG HISPANIC BOY THAT THREATENED HIM. AND HE LEFT HIM OUT ABOUT 60, 70 YARDS BEHIND SO HE CAN RUN AND BUT AND HE CAN BOX TO ALL THREE OF THEM ARE BOXING. HE GOES TO. WHERE BLAND BRANT. WHEREVER THAT TOWN. AND DAVID THEIR COUSINS. AND THIS ONE GOES TO WEBB ELEMENTARY. BUT ALL THREE OF THEM HOPEFULLY BE COMPETING. WELL, THEY ARE, BECAUSE WE KNOW WE CHECKED THE ROSTER ALREADY IN THERE. THEY GOT SOME, BUT I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO INVITE ANYBODY FROM THE CITY COUNCIL. WE'RE GOING TO HAVE THE WELCOMING AT 3:00, AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO START BOXING AROUND 530. AND THAT WILL MEAN THAT DAY IS THE I'M SORRY, WHAT DAY? WHAT DAY IS THE WELCOME? THE 20. YOU'VE DONE GREAT THINGS WITH OUR YOUTH, THE CITY OF MCKINNEY, FOR BUILDING THAT BUILDING FOR THESE YOUNG MEN. I APPRECIATE THAT. THANK YOU ALL. ALL RIGHT. NEXT IS CONSENT ITEMS. THESE ITEMS CONSIST OF

[CONSENT AGENDA]

NON-CONTROVERSIAL HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS REQUIRED BY LAW, AND MAY BE CONSIDERED INDIVIDUALLY BY ANY COUNCIL MEMBER MAKING SUCH REQUEST PRIOR TO A MOTION VOTE ON THE CONSENT ITEMS. I WILL PULL DOWN ITEM 24 2140. THAT WILL BE TABLED INDEFINITELY, BUT OTHER THAN THAT, IS THERE A MOTION ON THE OTHER CONSENT ITEMS? SO MOVED. SECOND, ALL IN FAVOR? AYE, AYE. OPPOSED? OKAY, SO THE ONLY ONE WE PULLED DOWN IS 242140. AGAIN TABLED INDEFINITELY FOR. REGULAR AGENDA AND PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS. WAIT. OH I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY. YES I'M SORRY. YOU ARE CORRECT. IS THERE A MOTION TO TABLE ITEM 212140 INDEFINITELY OR 242140. SO MOVED, MR. MAYOR. SECOND. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. OPPOSED. ALL RIGHT. MOVE TO REGULAR AGENDA AND PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS. ITEM

[Conduct a Public Hearing to Consider/Discuss/Act on a Request to Rezone the Subject Property from “AG” - Agricultural District to “C2” - Local Commercial District, Located on the West Side of Trinity Falls Parkway and Approximately 3,400 feet North of the Intersection of the Trinity Falls Parkway and Laud Howell Parkway, and Accompanying Ordinance]

2400512. CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER AN ACT ON REQUEST TO REZONE SUBJECT PROPERTY FROM AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF TRINITY FALLS PARKWAY AND APPROXIMATELY 3400FT NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF TRINITY FALLS PARKWAY AND LORD HOWELL PARKWAY. THANK YOU, MR. MAYOR. JENNIFER ARNOLD, DIRECTOR OF PLANNING I GOT IT. YEP. AS YOU READ, THIS IS A REQUEST TO REZONE THE SUBJECT PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF TRINITY FALLS PARKWAY. IT'S 1.7 ACRE TRACT. IT'S CURRENTLY ZONED AG AGRICULTURE, AND THE APPLICANT IS REQUESTING TO ZONED A C2 LOCAL COMMERCIAL. IT IS IN ALIGNMENT WITH THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. STAFF IS RECOMMENDING APPROVAL AS DID PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, AND I'M HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. ANY QUESTIONS FOR JENNIFER? DOES THE APPLICANT HAVE ANYTHING THEY WOULD LIKE TO ADD? THE CITY HAS BEEN GREAT TO WORK WITH. MY NAME IS BEN HERRICK. I'M HERE FROM FALCON FOSTER. THE CITY HAS BEEN GREAT TO WORK WITH. YOU GUYS HAVE A GREAT STAFF AND THAT'S IT. GOOD ENOUGH. THANK YOU SIR. SAYS THE PUBLIC HEARING. IS THERE ANYONE HERE THAT WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO THIS ITEM? SEEING NONE AND NOT SEEING ONE ON MY CARD IS THERE A MOTION? MR. MAYOR, I MOVED THAT WE CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING AND APPROVE THE ITEM AS PER STAFF'S RECOMMENDATION. I'LL SECOND. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. OPPOSED? ALL

[Conduct a Public Hearing to Consider/Discuss/Act on a Request to Rezone the Subject Property from “BN” - Neighborhood Business District to “PD” - Planned Development District, Generally to Modify the Development Standards and to Allow for Warehouse and Commercial Uses, Located at 100 East Leland Avenue]

RIGHT. ITEM 2400573. CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER AN ACT ON A REQUEST TO REZONE

[00:10:05]

SUBJECT PROPERTY FROM BUSINESS NEIGHBORHOOD DISTRICT, NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO PD PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT. GENERALLY TO MODIFY DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS TO ALLOW FOR WAREHOUSE AND COMMERCIAL USES. LOCATED AT 100 EAST LELAND AVENUE. THANK YOU, MR. MAYOR.

THE REQUEST IS TO REZONE THE SUBJECT PROPERTY FROM BN NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS, WHICH IS A LEGACY ZONING DISTRICT, TO PD PLANNED DEVELOPMENT GENERALLY TO ALLOW FOR THE STORAGE OF DRY GOODS ASSOCIATED WITH A RESTAURANT. THE TRACT IS 0.376 ACRES IN SIZE, AND YOU'LL NOTE HERE FROM THE LOCATION EXHIBIT THAT IS JUST SOUTH OF HUTCHINS RESTAURANT. SO THIS REQUEST IS ACTUALLY BEING BROUGHT FORWARD ON BEHALF OF HUTCHINS, WHO HAS OUTGROWN SOME OF THEIR STORAGE SPACE ON THE RESTAURANT PROPERTY PROPER. THEY HAVE BEEN IN DISCUSSIONS WITH THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY JUST TO THE SOUTH OF THEM. ON 100. LELAND. HERE'S AN IMAGE OF THAT PROPERTY. IT IS ACTUALLY TWO DIFFERENT SUITES. THE ONE ON THE LEFT, THERE IS AN OLD AUTO REPAIR THAT IS CURRENTLY BEING USED FOR AUTO REPAIR. AND THEN THE RED BRICK IS WHERE HUTCHINS WOULD LIKE TO UTILIZE THIS SPACE FOR THEIR DRY GOODS STORAGE. OH, THERE WE GO. BEFORE ANYBODY THROWS ANY TOMATOES AT ME FOR STAFF'S RECOMMENDATION, I DO WANT TO NOTE THAT STAFF IS RECOMMENDING DENIAL, NOT BECAUSE WE AREN'T LOVERS OF BARBECUE OR HUTCHINS, BUT IT IS PREDOMINANTLY BASED ON THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND THE LACK OF ALIGNMENT WITH THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. SO WAREHOUSE USES, EVEN THOUGH IT'S STORAGE OF DRY GOODS FOR THE RESTAURANT, IS STILL CONSIDERED INDUSTRIAL IN NATURE, WHICH DOES NOT ALIGN WITH THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. SO THE BASIS OF STAFF'S RECOMMENDATION, AS OUTLINED IN THE STAFF REPORT, IS REALLY FOUNDED ON THAT. AND THE POTENTIAL FOR REDEVELOPMENT AND THE ENCUMBRANCE THAT THIS COULD CAUSE FOR THAT. SO WE AREN'T ABLE TO OFFER A FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION. HOWEVER, THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION DID RECOMMEND APPROVAL WITH THAT MODIFICATION THAT THE STORAGE BE LIMITED TO JUST DRY GOODS ASSOCIATED WITH THE RESTAURANT. SO WITH THAT, I'M HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. I KNOW THE APPLICANT IS HERE AS WELL, SO YOU'RE ANTI. YOU'RE OUT OF ORDER. I KNOW I WANTED TO PREFACE IT BECAUSE I KNEW I WAS GOING TO GET SOMETHING. WELL, I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH OUT OF YOU TONIGHT. YES SIR. JOHN SHAKUR. JOHN SHAKUR 574 COUNTY ROAD 4850 LEONARD, TEXAS. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TONIGHT. THEY DID TURN IT DOWN. PLANNING AND ZONING ACCEPTED IT. WE GAVE THEM A LIST OF ITEMS THAT WOULD MAKE THEM HAPPY IF WE ONLY WENT WITH THIS LIST TO STAY WITH THEIR PD. I BELIEVE THE ISSUE WAS THAT LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD, THAT SOMEONE ELSE COULD COME INTO THAT PROPERTY AND FOLLOW THE PD AND CHANGE IT TO MORE THAN THE CITY WAS WILLING TO HAVE. SO GOT WITH THE WHAT GOT WITH CAMERON. AND WE MADE A LIST OF ITEMS THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THERE. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU ALL HAVE THAT LIST OR NOT, BUT IT'S SIMPLE STUFF LIKE TONGS, KNIVES, FORKS, PLATES, HATS, THEIR APRONS, JUST THINGS ON A DAILY BASIS THAT THEY'VE RUN OUT OF SPACE FOR. HUTCHINS IS A IS A GREAT MONIKER FOR MCKINNEY. I MEAN, MOST PEOPLE, IF YOU BRING PEOPLE HERE, YOU END UP TAKING THEM TO HUTCHINS BARBECUE. THEY'VE BEEN HERE SINCE 1991, BUT THEY NEED OUR HELP. THIS IS A BUILDING THAT'S BEEN SITTING THERE EMPTY. IT'S ACCESSIBLE TO THEM. THEY HAVE TO DRIVE AN HOUR BACK AND FORTH. IF THEY HAVE TO GO GET THIS STUFF, THEY JUST DON'T HAVE ROOM. SO WE'RE ASKING THAT Y'ALL PLEASE ACCEPT THIS. THIS LIST HERE IT IS.

NONPERISHABLE FOOD. SO THEY'RE JUST LOOKING FOR SOME KIND OF STORAGE FOR THEIR BASIC DRY GOODS. MARK, ARE WE ABLE TO INCORPORATE THAT INTO PD, THAT SPECIFIC LIST OR JENNIFER YEAH I'LL NOTE THAT. SO MR. SHAKUR AND CAMERON DID GO OVER THE SPECIFIC LIST. HOWEVER, WHAT HAS BEEN INCORPORATED INTO THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS IS JUST LIMITING TO DRY GOODS STORAGE, WHICH COVERS EVERYTHING THAT WAS SPECIFIC ON THE LIST. SO OKAY. AND WE HEARD YOUR YOUR REASON IS, AS YOU SAID, YOU'RE FOLLOWING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND WHATNOT. YES, SIR. AND I WILL NOTE THAT THE ORIGINAL REQUEST WAS JUST FOR WAREHOUSE USES. IT WAS ON THE FLOOR WITH THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION THAT IT GOT KIND OF TRUNCATED DOWN TO THAT DRY GOODS STORAGE. OKAY. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? ANY QUESTIONS FOR HIM? IF NOT, IS THERE ANYONE HERE WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE ITEM? THANK YOU, THANK YOU. SEEING NONE, IS THERE A MOTION? I'D LIKE TO MAKE A MOTION. WE APPROVE THIS ITEM. SECOND, THE PUBLIC HEARING AND CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. YES. SECOND. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. OPPOSED? OKAY, MR. MAYOR, CAN I MAKE ONE COMMENT? THIS IS REALLY FOR THE LEADERSHIP PEOPLE IN THE ROOM. BUT, YOU KNOW, OUR STAFF PLAYS A VERY VALUABLE ROLE. AND THEY KNOW THAT TO TRY TO KEEP US ON LINE WITH OUR COMPREHENSIVE

[00:15:01]

PLAN. BUT THERE'S ICONIC BUSINESSES AND THERE'S TIMES WHERE WE HAVE TO MAKE HUMAN DECISIONS THAT ARE REALLY FOR IT'S BEST FOR MCKINNEY. AND THIS IS A LOW IMPACT USE, AND IT IS WHAT'S BEST FOR MCKINNEY. WE ALL FEEL. SO THIS HAPPENS SOMETIMES, BUT IT'S NOT TO SAY WE DON'T APPRECIATE OUR STAFF AND EVERYTHING THAT THEY DO. AND JUST BECAUSE JENNIFER DOES NOT LIKE THEIR BARBECUE DOES NOT. NO ONE, NOBODY SHOULD HOLD THAT AGAINST HER IN FUTURE THINGS.

SHE'S ACTUALLY A GOOD PERSON. DON'T HOLD THAT ONE FLAW AGAINST HER. OKAY? ITEM NUMBER 2400812.

[Conduct a Public Hearing to Consider/Discuss/Act on a Request to Rezone the Subject Property from “PD” - Planned Development District to “PD” - Planned Development District, Generally to modify the Development Standards and Allow for Commercial Uses, Located on the Northeast Corner of Collin McKinney Parkway and Piper Glen Road, and Accompanying Ordinance]

CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER. ACT ON REQUEST TO REZONE SUBJECT PROPERTY FROM PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, GENERALLY TO MODIFY THE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS AND ALLOW FOR COMMERCIAL USES. LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF COLLIN MCKINNEY PARKWAY AND PIPER GLEN ROAD, I RECOGNIZE THIS. OH, WE ALL DO. YES, SIR. THE GHOST KITCHEN SITE WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE. HOWEVER, THE REQUEST BEFORE YOU TODAY IS FAIRLY STRAIGHTFORWARD. SO BACK IN 2022, THE PROPERTY WAS THE ZONING ON THE PROPERTY ACTUALLY.

HOLD ON. YEP. THAT'S RIGHT. THE ZONING ON THE PROPERTY WAS ACTUALLY MODIFIED TO ALLOW FOR OFFICE USES. IT HAD SOME HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS AS WELL. THE APPLICANT IS BACK AGAIN TODAY STRICTLY TO ADD AND INCORPORATE MEDICAL OFFICE USES. SO THE ZONING IN PLACE RIGHT NOW IS VERY SPECIFIC TO LIMIT ONLY OFFICE. THEY'RE ONLY PROPOSING TO ADD THAT MEDICAL OFFICE COMPONENT. NO OTHER DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS ARE CHANGING. STAFF IS RECOMMENDING APPROVAL. SO DID PNC. AND I'M HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. AND I BELIEVE MR. ROEDER IS BEHIND MY LEFT SHOULDERS. MR. ROEDER. REEF, SI. BOB ROEDER, 1700 REDBUD, SUITE 300. MCKINNEY. ON BEHALF OF THE APPLICANT. AND I PROMISE YOU, IF YOU'LL VOTE IN FAVOR OF THIS, I WON'T LET DAVID COME UP AND TAKE HIS FIVE MINUTES. SO I THINK IT'S PRETTY SELF-EXPLANATORY. WE JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO HAVE MEDICAL AND DENTAL, I THINK IS INCLUDED UNDER THE CLINIC MONIKER. HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. LAST TIME WE WERE HERE, WE HAD 100 PEOPLE. YES, HERE. AND TODAY WE HAVE NONE. SO THAT'S A GOOD SIGN. YES. SUCCESSFUL. ALL RIGHT. ANY QUESTIONS FOR BOB RESIDENTS OKAY WITH IT. YES. IN FACT THEY ARE AWARE OF IT. AND ARE HAPPY WITH OR FINE WITH THE CHANGE. SO THEY WOULD BE HERE IF THEY WERE NOT. I THINK THEIR PREVIOUS HISTORIES WOULD SHOW THAT. ALL RIGHT. IS THERE ANYONE HERE WHO'D LIKE TO SPEAK TO THIS ITEM? SEEING NONE, I'LL ENTERTAIN A MOTION. MAKE A MOTION? WE CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING AND APPROVE THIS ITEM. I'LL SECOND. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE.

[Conduct a Public Hearing to Consider/Discuss/Act on a Request to Rezone the Subject Properties from “AG” - Agricultural District and “ML” - Light Manufacturing District to “I1” - Light Industrial District Located on the South side of McIntyre Road and Approximately 200 feet East of the Intersection of North McDonald Street and McIntyre Road, and Accompanying Ordinance]

OPPOSED? ITEM 2400862. CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER AN ACT ON REQUEST TO REZONE SUBJECT PROPERTIES FROM AGRICULTURE DISTRICT AND LIGHT MANUFACTURING DISTRICT TO LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF MCINTYRE ROAD AND APPROXIMATELY 200FT EAST OF INSPECTION OF INTERSECTION OF NORTH MCDONALD STREET AND MCINTYRE ROAD AND THE BARBECUE HAIDER. HELLO. THANK YOU, MR. MAYOR. JENNIFER ARNOLD BARBECUE HAIDER, DIRECTOR OF PLANNING. SO AS YOU READ, THIS IS A STRAIGHTFORWARD REZONING REQUEST. THE PROPERTY ITSELF IS 6.47 ACRES IN SIZE. IT'S CURRENTLY ZONED AGRICULTURAL. FOR THE MAJORITY OF IT, THERE'S A SMALL SLIVER ON THE EASTERN BOUNDARY THAT HAS THE ML LIGHT MANUFACTURING ZONING. BUT THE REQUEST IS TO MODERNIZE AND UPDATE THE ZONING FROM THOSE OLD ZONING DISTRICTS TO THE L ONE.

OR I'M SORRY, I-1 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONING AS PART OF A MASTER DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT AND PLAN FOR THE OVERALL PROPERTY. THE DESIGNATION IN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ALIGNS WITH THIS ZONING REQUEST. STAFF'S RECOMMENDING APPROVAL, AS DID PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION.

AND I'M HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE. ANY QUESTIONS FOR JENNIFER ON THIS ONE, BUT IS THERE ANOTHER ZONING REQUEST FOR THE ONE OF THE NORTHEAST OF THIS? WE DO. WE WILL ACTUALLY HAVE TWO OTHER INDUSTRIAL ZONING REQUESTS THAT ARE AROUND THAT SAME NEIGHBORHOOD. THE TRAINEE HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD THAT WILL BE COMING AT FUTURE MEETINGS.

OKAY. THANK YOU. JENNIFER. JEFF LANDON, IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO ADD TO THE PRESENTATION? I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO ADD, BUT HERE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT BARBECUE? I LOVE BARBECUE, HAD IT FOR LUNCH. SO THERE YOU GO. THANK YOU, MR. LANDON. YES, SIR.

BLAKE'S BROTHER. YES, SIR, I AM. GIVE MY VERY BEST TO YOUR MOM AND DAD. WILL DO. I APPRECIATE THAT IT'S GOOD TO SEE YOU. GOOD TO SEE YOU, TOO. ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. JEFF, THIS IS A PUBLIC HEARING. IS THERE ANYONE THAT WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO THIS ITEM? SEEING NONE. I'LL ENTERTAIN A MOTION. I'LL MAKE A MOTION. WE CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING AND APPROVE THIS ITEM.

SECOND. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. OPPOSED? NEXT ITEM HAS BEEN REQUESTED TO BE TABLED. I'LL

[Conduct a Public Hearing to Consider/Discuss/Act on Amendments to the ONE McKinney 2040 Comprehensive Plan, Including Updates to the Future Land Use Plan, Land Use Diagrams, Placetype Definitions, Individual District Strategies, and Minor Text Updates; and Accompanying Ordinance (REQUEST TO BE TABLED)]

THING WITH ITEM 240005M CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER AN ACT ON REQUEST BY THE CITY OF MCKINNEY TO UPDATE, AMEND, AND ADOPT A NEW VERSION OF THE ENGINEERING DESIGN MANUAL THAT ESTABLISHES STANDARD ENGINEERING PRACTICES AND MINIMUM ENGINEERING CRITERIA FOR PROJECTS WITHIN THE CITY OF MCKINNEY AND ITS EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION, INCLUDING THE ADOPTION OF REASONABLE SPECIFICATIONS RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF EACH STREET OR ROAD. BASED ON THE AMOUNT AND KIND OF TRAVELED THEREON, AND ADEQUATE DRAINAGE FOR EACH STREET OR ROAD IN A SUBDIVISION. IN ACCORDANCE WITH STANDARD ENGINEERING PRACTICES AND ACCOMPANYING ORDINANCE. THIS IS AGAIN REQUESTED TO BE TABLED UNTIL THE 19TH, AND I DON'T HAVE ANYONE THAT HAS COME HERE TO AND SIGNED UP TO SPEAK ON THE ITEM, SO I'LL ASSUME THERE'S NOBODY UNLESS SOMEBODY PRESENTS THEMSELVES AT THIS MOMENT SEEING NONE, IS THERE A MOTION TO TABLE THIS TO THE 19TH? I'LL MAKE THAT MOTION SECOND. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. OPPOSED AS THE END OF OUR REGULAR AGENDA, PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS FOR LEADERSHIP. MCKINNEY. THIS IS GENERALLY NOT THE WAY THE MEETING GOES. THERE'S USUALLY LOTS OF ARGUING, TEETH GNASHING, AND WHATNOT. BUT TONIGHT WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE. WHEN WE COME BACK ON THE 19TH, AS ALL OF THAT CITIZEN COMMENTS,

[COUNCIL AND MANAGER COMMENTS]

WE'VE ALREADY GONE THROUGH THOSE COUNCIL AND MANAGER COMMENTS. EVERYONE IS LIMITED TO TEN WORDS. I HAVE ONE COMMENT AND THAT IS WHEN YOU'RE OVER 60, YOU GET TO CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH. AND COUNCILMAN FRANKLIN, THE MAYOR AND MYSELF WILL ACCEPT YOUR EARLY OR LATE BIRTHDAY WISHES THE ENTIRE MONTH OF NOVEMBER. THANK YOU. YES, I KNOW THERE'S A SURPRISE PARTY FOR US ALL ON THE SEVENTH THAT THEIR BILLING AS THE STATE OF THE CITY AS IF THAT'S GOING TO FOOL US. BUT WE KNOW THAT REALLY, IT'S A GATHERING OF THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY TO CELEBRATE OUR BIRTHDAY. SO I HAD THIS REALLY LONG LIST OF ALL THESE THINGS GO OUT, GO OVER TODAY. BUT HEY, I JUST WANT TO WISH YOU THREE HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND I WANT TO GET EVERYBODY HOME SO THEY CAN WATCH THE ELECTION. SO THAT'S THAT'S IT FOR ME. OKAY, I GOT TO CATCH UP BECAUSE I WAS GONE THE LAST TIME. JUST A REALLY QUICK. NO. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF SERVING AS A MODEL FOR THE MCKINNEY EDUCATION PURSES FOR A PURPOSE WHERE THEY RAISE MONEY TO SEND THESE KIDS TO COLLEGE IS A FANTASTIC CAUSE. I'M THE LAST PERSON THAT SHOULD BE MODELING ANYTHING. BUT THANKS TO MY GIRLS WHO MADE ME WATCH AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL SO I CAN GET MY WALK DOWN FOR THE RUNWAY. BUT IT WENT VERY WELL. I JUST WANTED TO THANK THE ORGANIZERS FOR THAT GRACE TO CHANGE. HAD THEIR FUNDRAISER AS WELL THE NIGHT AFTER THAT AND DID A FANTASTIC JOB. IT'S A WONDERFUL ORGANIZATION THAT REALLY SERVES A COMMUNITY THAT OTHERWISE WOULD NOT FIND THE RESOURCES THAT THEY NEED TO DEAL WITH ADDICTIONS. AND SO I JUST WANTED TO THANK THEM AS WELL. I HAD A CHANCE TO ATTEND THE YMCA KEY LEADERS LUNCHEON DOWN IN DALLAS, AND EVERY CITY WAS REPRESENTED. PROUD TO SAY MCKINNEY HAD A FULL TABLE OF WONDERFUL REPRESENTATIVES THERE, TOO. SO WE JUST WANT TO THANK THAT ORGANIZATION FOR ALL THAT THEY PROVIDE FOR OUR COMMUNITY.

AND LASTLY, HAD A GREAT TIME JUDGING THE CHILI CONTEST FOR OUR CITY OF MCKINNEY EMPLOYEES FOR THEIR HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION. DELICIOUS CHILIS, SOME INTERESTING ONES, SOME REALLY, REALLY GOOD ONES. SO BUT THANK YOU FOR THAT. I WILL JUST FOLLOW UP FOR BARNEY WHO WHO LEFT US WITH SOME WITHOUT DETAILS, BUT THE TEXAS STATE SILVER GLOVES WILL BE HELD NOVEMBER 21ST AND 24TH AT 1720 BRAY CENTRAL DRIVE. AND YOU CAN GO TO BARNEY AND ME, JIM.COM FOR A FULL SLATE OF THE OF THE FIGHT TIMES AND ALL THAT THOSE DAYS. SO THE TEXAS STATE SILVER GLOVES, 1720 BRAY CENTRAL I HAVE I WILL REFRAIN FROM MY USUAL LONG WINDED COMMENTS AND PASS. I'M GOING TO KEEP IT UNDER A MINUTE, BUT I'M GOING TO GO OVER TWO THINGS. ONLY THE MAYOR AND I WERE INVITED BY THE MCKINNEY ISLAMIC ASSOCIATION TO COME AND SPEAK TO A GROUP OF THEM ABOUT A WEEK AGO, AND IT WAS VERY ENGAGING. SOME GREAT QUESTIONS, AND THEY'RE PROFOUNDLY ENGAGED GROUP IN OUR COMMUNITY, AND WE REALLY APPRECIATED THAT OPPORTUNITY. AND THEN SATURDAY, I WAS ABLE TO GO ON A PARKS TOUR THAT OUR PARKS DEPARTMENT PUT ON FOR MCDC AND THE PARKS BOARD MEMBERS. AND IT REALLY JUST STRUCK ME AGAIN HOW MUCH THOUGHT GOES INTO THE PARKS, HOW MANY, HOW MUCH DEMAND THERE IS FOR THE PARKS IN TERMS OF DIFFERENT USES AND OUR PARKS DEPARTMENT AND OUR CITY COUNCIL WILL NEVER CATCH UP TO THE DEMAND. BUT IT IS AMAZING THE AMOUNT OF FLEXIBILITY AND RESOURCES AND CREATIVITY IN OUR PARKS DEPARTMENT. THANK YOU, MR. MAYOR. NEXT MONDAY IS VETERAN'S DAY, NOVEMBER 11TH, AND EVERY YEAR WE HAVE A CELEBRATION OR A MEMORIAL SERVICE, IF YOU WILL,

[00:25:01]

AT THE VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK AT CRAIG RANCH. AND EVERYBODY IS INVITED TO ATTEND. IT'S A REALLY GREAT EVENT. IT'S AT 11 A.M. AT VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK, BUT IT IS THIS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH.
