PLEASE STATE YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS. GO AHEAD. GOOD AFTERNOON, MAYOR FULLER AND COUNCIL MEMBER BELLER. MY NAME IS EMPRESS DRAIN, CITY SECRETARY. I RESIDE DURING THE DAY AT TWO, TWO, TWO NORTH TENNESSEE STREET. THIS ITEM IS TO CONFIRM THE RESULTS OF THE CHARTER AMENDMENT. ELECTION FROM NOVEMBER 5TH, AS PROVIDED BY THE COLLIN COUNTY ADMINISTRATION OF ELECTIONS. A QUICK NOTE ON THAT YOU MIGHT BE AWARE THAT OUR ELECTIONS ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE COUNTY, BRUCE SHERBERT, RECENTLY ANNOUNCED HIS RETIREMENT. HE SERVED NINE YEARS WITH COLLIN COUNTY AND 44 YEARS OVERALL IN THIS FIELD, SO HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. ALSO WOULD LIKE TO THANK OUR CODE SERVICES TEAM AND OUR CITY SECRETARY STAFF FOR THE EXECUTION AND ENFORCEMENT OF OUR ELECTION CODES, AND EVERYTHING WENT INCREDIBLY SMOOTHLY. SO ALSO THANKS TO OUR OF VOTING PARTICIPANTS AND FOLKS WHO ARE OUT THERE ON THE CAMPAIGNS, WHO DID A MARVELOUS JOB IN OUR CITY. THE FIRST PROPOSITION THAT WENT TO THE BALLOT, IF YOU GO TO THE NEXT SLIDE, THANK YOU, WAS THE AMENDMENT TO MODIFY COUNCIL TERM LIMITS OF THE NUMBER OF VOTES FOR THAT MEASURE WAS 40,494. THE VOTES AGAINST THAT MEASURE WERE 42,339. SO THAT MEASURE DID NOT PASS AS 51% OF VOTERS VOTED AGAINST IT. PROPOSITION B WAS TO MODIFY COUNCIL COMPENSATION OF THE VOTES. THERE WERE 35,696 FOR AND 45,152 AGAINST, WHICH WAS ABOUT 56% AGAINST, AND THAT MEASURE DID NOT PASS. PROPOSITION C WAS TO CORRECT SPELLING, GRAMMAR, GRAMMAR, AND PUNCTUATION AS NEEDED THROUGHOUT THE CHARTER TEXT OF 59,584 VOTED FOR THAT, AND 20,696 VOTED AGAINST. THAT MEASURE PASSED WITH ABOUT 74%, AND FINALLY PROPOSITION D, WHICH WAS TO AMEND POLICIES AND PROCEDURES THAT ARE NO LONGER APPLICABLE OR EMPLOYED BY THE CITY OF 56,600, I'M SORRY, 58,619 VOTED FOR THAT MEASURE, 21,888 VOTED AGAINST. THAT MEASURE PASSED WITH ABOUT 73% OF VOTES. SO FOR THE PASSAGE OF PROPOSITION C AND D, THOSE TEXTS ARE UNDER REVIEW AND WOULD BE PRESENTED FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THE COUNCIL. AND NEXT MONTH IN DECEMBER. FANTASTIC. ALL RIGHT. THERE IS NOBODY HERE TO COMMENT. SO A MOTION TO APPROVE THE ORDINANCE. SO MOVED. I AM IN FAVOR. YOU ARE IN FAVOR. MOTION PASSES AND WE ARE DONE. SO UNLESS YOU HAVE ANY COMMENTS.
