WITHIN ONE DAY, IT HAD GROWN OVER TO 11,000 ACRES. OVER 2000 FIREFIGHTERS WERE ASSIGNED TO THIS FIRE. MOST OF THOSE WERE REGIONAL AND CAL FIRE ASSETS. BY JANUARY 9TH, OVER 1300 STRUCTURES HAD BEEN DESTROYED. THE MAJORITY OF THESE ALL RIGHT IN THE PALISADES NEIGHBORHOOD. IF ANY OF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THAT AREA, THESE ARE HIGH DOLLAR HOMES. THE LAND VALUE ITSELF WILL PROBABLY PUT THIS FIRE AS THE MOST COSTLY FIRE IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES, JUST BECAUSE OF THE DESTRUCTION THAT TOOK PLACE. AND THEN ON JANUARY 10TH, THE FIRE GREW OVER TO 20,000 ACRES. AND THIS THIS RIGHT HERE IS, IS A MAP OF THE OVERLAY OF THE FIRE ITSELF.
