SO I HAD CONCERNS BACK THEN, WHICH IS WHY I VOTED AGAINST THE PROJECT, NOT BECAUSE I AM ANTI DENSITY IN ANY WAY, BUT IT'S JUST FOR THAT PART OF TOWN WITH THE INFRASTRUCTURE THAT'S THERE AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. AND WE ARE LOOKING AT THE RANGES OF, FOR EXAMPLE, YOUR WATER TECHNICIANS OR YOUR FORENSIC INVESTIGATORS OR YOUR CONSTRUCTION INSPECTORS OR YOUR TEACHERS AND YOUR COUNSELORS ALL MAKING IN THAT RANGE. AS LONG AS WE GET THE GOALS THAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE OUT OF THAT HOUSING AUTHORITY, AND WE NEED TO HAVE THOSE CONVERSATIONS WITH THEM, I THINK A JOINT MEETING WITH THEM TO KIND OF OUTLAY WHAT IS THEIR EXPECTED REVENUES AND WHAT TOOLS THAT THEY CAN UTILIZE. THEY'VE GOT SOME LIMITATIONS, BUT ULTIMATELY OUR TAX IS NOT NECESSARILY AT RISK IN THIS. AND YOU YOU SHOWED THE SLIDE. IT'S IN ONE OF THESE DEEP INTO THE FOURTH BULLET THERE. ONE OF THE BETTER ONES THAT WE'VE HAD WAS A SIMILAR PROJECT ON AN OLDER PROPERTY, WHICH HAD A LOT MORE ROOM FOR AFFORDABILITY. IT WAS 115% THIS ONE, BECAUSE IT'S A NEWER PRODUCT, YOU KNOW, THAT GETS REALLY CLOSE TO THAT 100% RECOVERY. SO WHENEVER SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TO WORK ON IT, THEY ACTUALLY WOULD HAVE TO TAKE OFF THE PANEL TO WORK ON IT. I THINK I'VE SEEN THE PROPAGATION MAPS. AT 12:30 P.M, WE'LL HOST A RIBBON CUTTING AND DEDICATION CEREMONY TO OFFICIALLY OPEN THE BUILDING AND MARK THIS EXCITING NEW CHAPTER IN OUR CITY'S HISTORY. THEN, AT 2 P.M, VISITORS ARE INVITED TO TOUR THE EAST MCKINNEY LEARNING GARDEN AND ENJOY LIVE MUSIC FROM GEORGE DUNHAM AND THE BIRD DOGS.
