RECOGNITION OF COURTS OF MCKINNEY FOR VEST OF TEXAS TENNIS.

GOOD AFTERNOON, UH, MAYOR CITY COUNCIL.

AMY KINKADE, DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND REC.

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND JUST WANTED TO START THE NEW YEAR WITH SOME EXCITING NEWS.

AND 2 20, 25, 10, THE TENNIS COMMUNITY NOMINATED AND VOTED IN EIGHT CATEGORIES FOR THE BEST OF TEXAS TECH, TEXAS TENNIS.

UM, THEY RECEIVED OVER 10,000 VOTES.

UM, IT WAS AMONGST THE PEERS IN THE TENNIS COMMUNITY, SO THAT'S A HUGE, UM, IMPACT.

UM, THERE WERE 26 NOMINEES, AND I'M EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE COURTS WAS NOMINATED AS THE FAVORITE TENNIS FACILITY IN THE ENTIRE STATE OF TEXAS BY THE TENNIS PROFESSIONALS, UH, THE PLAYERS AND ALL.

SO I JUST WANTED TO, UH, BRING MR. MATT HANLIN AND JUST MAKE SURE THAT HE GETS THE RECOGNITION THAT HIM AND HIS STAFF DO EVERY DAY, EVERY YEAR.

SO, WITH THAT, MATT, WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY A FEW WORDS? WELL, THANK YOU, AMY.

SO WE, WE CERTAINLY WISH HIM A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

UH, BUT IT DOES GIVE ME AN OPPORTUNITY TODAY TO, UH, INTRODUCE A TOPIC, UH, THAT IS PRETTY COOL.

A LOT OF MEMBERS OF OUR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES TEAM ARE HERE, WHO WORKED A LOT ON OUR SUSTAINABILITY ROADMAP.

UH, THE SUSTAINABILITY ROADMAP, UH, THAT WE'RE GOING TO SPEAK TO YOU ABOUT TODAY, AND, AND OBVIOUSLY SEEK YOUR FEEDBACK ON ADDRESSES TWO OBJECTIVES UNDER THE COUNCIL'S GOAL FIVE, WHICH IS, UH, MAINTAIN A HIGH QUALITY OF LIFE, UH, IN THE CITY

OF MCKINNEY AND VARY AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN MCKINNEY.

VERY SPECIFICALLY.

UH, COUNCIL GOAL 5.3 IS DEVELOP A SUSTAINABILITY QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS.

AND 5.4 IS PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP INITIATIVES.

UH, WE THINK THAT THE, UH, ROADMAP THAT YOU'RE GONNA HEAR ABOUT TODAY ADDRESSES THOSE.

BUT ONE OF THE CHALLENGES THAT STAFF HAD WHEN YOU PUT THIS TOGETHER IS WHAT EXACTLY DOES SUSTAINABILITY MEAN? IF YOU ASK 50 DIFFERENT PEOPLE, YOU MAY GET 50 DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF EXACTLY WHAT THAT MEANS.

SO STAFF, THERE WAS REALLY TWO KIND OF GOALS OR DRIVING FORCES IN WHAT YOU'RE GONNA SEE TODAY AND HOW WE PUT THE ROADMAP TOGETHER FOR YOUR REVIEW AND COMMENT.

AND THOSE TWO ARE RESOURCE EFFICIENCY.

HOW EFFICIENTLY, HOW EFFICIENTLY ARE WE USING RESOURCES, UH, MAXIMIZING THE VALUE OF THOSE RESOURCES, BUT MINIMIZING THE IMPACT, UH, ON THE ENVIRONMENT, ON WASTE.

UH, AND THE SECOND ONE, OF COURSE, IS FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY.

HOW MUCH DO THESE THINGS COST? UH, YOU CAN BE THE MOST EFFICIENT IN THE WORLD, BUT IF IT COSTS AN ABSORBENT AMOUNT OF MONEY, UH, THAT'S NOT GONNA BE HELPFUL FOR ANYONE AS WELL.

SO, EFFICIENCY AND COST TO THE DRIVING FACTORS YOU'RE GONNA SEE TODAY.

UH, AND THAT DOES GIVE ME AN O OPPORTUNITY TO, UH, INTRODUCE ADA GODEM, WHO IS OUR SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER OVER IN ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, HAS BEEN WITH US FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS AS AN ABSOLUTE ASSET TO OUR TEAM.

UH, WENT OFF TO THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AND GOT AN ADVANCED DEGREE IN SUSTAINABILITY HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE, UH, ASSET TO OUR TEAM, AND I THINK YOU'LL SEE THAT IN THE PASSION THAT SHE BRINGS TO THIS PRESENTATION TODAY.

I'LL THEN BE SHARING THE GUIDING PRINCIPLES USED TO DEVELOP THE ROADMAP, THE ENGAGEMENT DONE TO INFORM IT, AND THE RESULTING GOALS, TARGETS AND ACTION ITEMS THAT CAME FROM THE VARIOUS DIFFERENT CONVERSATIONS WE HAD.

I'LL THEN BE CONCLUDING WITH THE NEXT STEPS IN TERMS OF WHAT WE ENVISION FOR THE ROADMAP AND MAKE SURE THAT WE LEAVE TIME FOR QUESTIONS AT THE END OR ANY INPUT THAT Y'ALL MAY HAVE.

ALRIGHT, SO WHY DEVELOP A SUSTAINABILITY ROADMAP FOR OUR CITY? WE WANT TO ENSURE THAT AS A CITY WE CONTINUE TO GROW AND DEVELOP IN A WAY THAT IS RESOURCE EFFICIENT, PROTECTING PUBLIC HEALTH AND CONSERVING AND SAFEGUARDING OUR SCARCE NATURAL RESOURCES FOR OUR CHILDREN, OUR GRANDCHILDREN, AND FUTURE GENERATIONS BEYOND US, REALLY TO CONTINUE ENJOYING THAT SAME QUALITY OF LIFE THAT WE HAVE TODAY, IF NOT EVEN BETTER.

NOW OUR COMMUNITY HAS AFFIRMED OUR COMMITMENT TO THESE VALUES THROUGH THE ADOPTION OF TWO COUNCIL GOALS THAT STEVE HAD MENTIONED EARLIER.

GOAL 5.3, DEVELOP SUSTAINABLE QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS AND GOAL 5.4, PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP INITIATIVES.

NOW OUR ROADMAP IS INTENDED TO OPERATIONALIZE THE SUSTAINABILITY GOALS OF CITY COUNCIL BY DEVELOPING MEASURABLE GOALS AND TARGETS IN FOUR KEY AREAS.

AND THOSE ARE MATERIALS MANAGEMENT, WHICH ENCOMPASSES SOLID WASTE

AND RECYCLING WATER CONSERVATION, STORM WATER MANAGEMENT, AND AIR QUALITY.

NOW, BEFORE WE EMBARKED ON THE JOURNEY OF DEVELOPING THIS ROADMAP, WE WANTED TO STOP AND MAKE SURE THAT WE HAD IDENTIFIED WHAT WOULD BE THOSE VALUES THAT WOULD ULTIMATELY BE USED TO SHAPE THIS ROADMAP.

AND FROM THE MANY DIFFERENT CONVERSATIONS WE HAD, THE VALUES THAT YOU SEE ON THE SCREEN WERE THE ONES THAT ROSE TO THE TOP FOR US.

AND YOU CAN SEE FIRST AND FOREMOST UP ON TOP IS WE WANT THE ROADMAP TO REALLY CENTER RESOURCE EFFICIENCY AND FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY WHENEVER POSSIBLE.

WE WANNA SUPPORT OUR ROADMAP GOALS BY LEVERAGING GRANTS AND PARTNERSHIPS.

IN ADDITION TO THAT, WE ALSO WANT THIS ROADMAP TO, AS I MENTIONED EARLIER, PROTECT PUBLIC HEALTH, ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND CONSERVE NATURAL ASSETS.

IN ADDITION TO THAT, WE ALSO WANT OUR ROADMAP TO BE HOLISTIC AND DATA-DRIVEN, ADAPTIVE AND FORWARD-LOOKING.

LASTLY, WE WANNA ENSURE THAT OUR ROADMAP IS REALLY ENCOURAGING INFORMED CHOICES, RIGHT? IT'S NOT ABOUT MANDATING WHAT PEOPLE SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T DO, BUT SHOWING THE DATA, SHARING THE WHY, AND INVITING PEOPLE TO MAKE THEIR OWN INFORMED CHOICE ON WHAT IS GOING TO BE BENEFICIAL FOR THEIR WELLBEING AND THE WELLBEING OF THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE.

NOW ANOTHER IMPORTANT ELEMENT IN DEVELOPING THIS ROADMAP WAS STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT.

I LEANED INTO THE EXISTING 2025 CITIZEN SURVEY HIGHLIGHTS AND NOTED THAT CREATING AND PRESERVING OPEN SPACES AND NATURAL LANDS REMAINS A PRIORITY FOR OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

I ALSO SAW THAT OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS NOTED ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT IN THE WAY THAT OUR COMMUNITY MOVES AROUND, ESPECIALLY AS WE CONTINUE TO GROW.

SO WE NOTED THAT AS WE REFLECTED ON WHAT SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION LOOKS LIKE AND MEANS FOR OUR CITY.

I ALSO SPENT A LOT OF TIME TALKING TO OUR MANY DIFFERENT GREAT STAFF MEMBERS HERE AT THE CITY OF MCKINNEY.

AND YOU CAN SEE MANY OF THOSE TEAMS LISTED ON THE SCREEN BEFORE YOU AND I MADE SURE TO GET THEIR INPUT ON THE STRATEGIES, GOALS, AND TARGETS THAT WE SET IN THIS ROADMAP.

BEYOND JUST TALKING TO OUR CITY STAFF, I ALSO SPENT TIME CONNECTING WITH REGIONAL EXPERTS IN THE AREA TO ENSURE ALIGNMENT WITH REGIONAL GOALS, UM, OF THE SUSTAINABILITY ROADMAP.

AND YOU CAN SEE AGAIN, SOME OF THOSE ORGANIZATIONS LISTED ON THE SCREEN BEFORE YOU.

NOW, AS A CITY, WE CAN SET ALL THE GOALS AND TARGETS WE WANT, BUT ULTIMATELY, HOW ARE WE GONNA GET THERE? SO YOU'LL NOTICE THAT IN THE NEXT FEW SLIDES WHEN I PRESENT OUR EIGHT DIFFERENT SUSTAINABILITY ROADMAP GOALS, SOLL BE A SLEW OF ACTION ITEMS LISTED UNDERNEATH EACH ONE INTENDED TO HELP US ACHIEVE THE GOAL.

AND THESE ACTION ITEMS ARE MULTIFACETED BECAUSE WE WANNA ENCOURAGE POSITIVE BEHAVIOR CHANGE, WHICH IS KNOWN TO OCCUR WITH MULTIFACETED APPROACHES.

THAT INCLUDES APPROACHES SUCH AS PROVIDING AWARDS AND RECOGNITION SYSTEMS, SUPPORTIVE INFRASTRUCTURE, PROVIDING SUPPORTIVE CODE AND POLICIES, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND CREATIVE OUTREACH CAMPAIGNS.

SO YOU'LL NOTICE FOR THE ACTION ITEMS THAT I'LL BE PRESENTING IN THE PROCEEDING SLIDES, THAT THEY'LL COME FROM A VARIETY OF THESE DIFFERENT ANGLES.

ALRIGHT, NOW I'LL GO AHEAD AND INTRODUCE THE SUSTAINABILITY ROADMAP GOALS THEMSELVES.

THERE ARE A TOTAL OF EIGHT GOALS WITH TWO IN EACH OF THE CATEGORIES THAT I REFERENCED EARLIER.

WITH EACH GOAL, WE'LL HAVE A TARGET AND THEN A, UM, SPAN FRAME OF ABOUT FIVE YEARS FOR WHEN WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL.

AND I'LL START OFF WITH THE MATERIALS MANAGEMENT CATEGORY.

OUR FIRST GOAL HERE IS TO EXPAND ACCESS TO AN AWARENESS OF RECYCLING AND DIVERSION PROGRAMS. THE WHY IS THAT THESE PROGRAMS CREATE JOBS AND REDUCE LANDFILL USE, WHICH IS REALLY IMPORTANT CONSIDERING THAT LANDFILLS ONLY HAVE SO MUCH LIFE LEFT.

AND THE MORE WE CAN PROLONG ITS LIFE, THE LESS DEMAND THERE IS TO BUILD MORE LANDFILLS IN OUR COMMUNITY.

THE TARGET HERE IS TO REDUCE PER CAPITA WASTE GENERATION AND INCREASE THE NUMBER OF RECYCLING AND DIVERSION PROGRAMS THAT WE'RE ABLE TO OFFER OUR COMMUNITY.

AS FAR AS HOW WE'RE GONNA GET THERE, WE'D LIKE TO UPDATE CITY CODE TO SYNC WITH THE COUNCIL APPROVED SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT STRATEGY THAT WAS PASSED IN THE RECENT YEARS.

WE'D ALSO LIKE TO EXPLORE ORGANIC DIVERSION PILOT PROGRAMS WITH HIGH GENERATORS OF ORGANIC.

SO THIS IS MATERIALS SUCH AS YARD WASTE AND FOOD WASTE.

AND THIS IS ESPECIALLY SIGNIFICANT BECAUSE ORGANICS MAKES UP ABOUT A THIRD OF THE MATERIAL THAT IS BEING SENT TO THE LANDFILL.

SO IF WE CAN TAKE THAT MATERIAL OUT AND SEND IT INTO COMPOSTING OPERATIONS INSTEAD TO MAKE SOIL RICH HEALTHY AMENDMENT, THAT'S JUST A HIGHER BENEFICIAL USE OF THAT MATERIAL RATHER THAN BEING IN A LANDFILL.

THE LAST ACTION ITEM THAT I'VE LISTED HERE IS WE'D LIKE TO CONDUCT A COMMERCIAL AND MULTI-FAMILY RECYCLING STUDY TO EVALUATE SPECIFIC RECYCLING AND DIVERSION POTENTIAL.

NOW THIS IS SIGNIFICANT BECAUSE THIS SECTOR OF OUR POPULATION MAKES ABOUT A QUARTER OF OUR COMMUNITY.

AND BY DOING A STUDY, WE CAN BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT MATERIALS ARE WE NOT, ARE WE NOT CURRENTLY DIVERTING, AND WHAT IS THERE AN OPPORTUNITY TO CAPTURE AND DIVERT.

SO WE'RE PRETTY EXCITED ABOUT EMBARKING

ON SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

OUR SECOND GOAL IN MATERIALS MANAGEMENT IS TO REDUCE RECYCLING CONTAMINATION.

THE WHY HERE IS CONTAMINATED RECYCLING INCREASES COST FOR US AS A CITY, AS MATERIALS MUST BE HAULED BACK TO THE LANDFILL FOR DISPOSAL.

OUR TARGET IS WE'D LIKE TO LOWER OUR CONTAMINATION RATES, WHICH HOVER AROUND 41%, BUT WE'VE SEEN UP TO 49% AND LOWER THAT TO ABOUT 2020 5%.

IN TERMS OF THE HOW WE'VE ALREADY BEEN MAKING SOME REALLY GOOD PROGRESS.

WE, UH, RECENTLY WERE AWARDED GRANT FUNDING THAT ALLOWS US TO USE AI TECHNOLOGY ON COLLECTION VEHICLES SO THAT WE CAN SEE WHERE CONTAMINATION IS OCCURRING IN OUR CITY, AND THEN SEND TARGETED OUTREACH AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO THOSE RESIDENTS AND NEIGHBORHOODS TO HELP BETTER INFORM HOW TO RECYCLE RIGHT IN OUR COMMUNITY.

THE RECYCLING PARTNERSHIP, WHICH GAVE US THIS GRANT, HAS DONE A SIMILAR PROJECT IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY AND HAS SEEN A LOT OF SUCCESS AND LOWERING CONTAMINATION RATES HERE.

SO WE'RE EXCITED TO REPLICATE THESE SUCCESSES HERE IN MCKINNEY.

UH, THE LAST ACTION ITEM HERE IS TO CLEARLY IDENTIFY TRASH AND RECYCLING DUMPSTERS WITH DECALS JUST SO THAT FOLKS KNOW WHAT, WHERE THE MATERIAL SHOULD GO IN EACH DUMPSTER, RIGHT? 'CAUSE SOMETIMES IT'S JUST NOT KNOWING IF IT'S THE RIGHT, UH, DUMPSTER TO BE PUTTING THINGS IN.

THE NEXT TWO GOALS I'LL BE PRESENTING WILL BE IN WATER CONSERVATION.

OUR FIRST GOAL HERE IS TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF WATER CONSERVATION.

THE WHY IS THAT NORTH TEXAS FACES WATER SCARCITY DOING DUE TO A GROWING POPULATION AND LIMITED LOCAL WATER SUPPLIES.

WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE MOVING TO THE DFW AREA EVERY DAY AND THEY'RE NOT BRINGING THEIR WATERS WITH THEM , I WISH THEY DID.

UM, BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE.

SO OUR TARGET HERE IS TO REDUCE PER RESIDENT WATER USE FROM 96 TO 90 GALLONS PER DAY.

IN TERMS OF THE HOW WE'D LIKE TO PROMOTE FREE IRRIGATION CHECKUP PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NORTH TEXAS MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, WHERE THEY WORK WITH THE HIGH USERS OF IRRIGATION AND PROVIDE FREE ASSESSMENTS TO SEE WHERE THEY CAN BE MORE EFFICIENT IN HOW THEY WATER.

WE'D LIKE TO PROMOTE THE WATER MY YARD PROGRAM AND THE SMART USE OF IRRIGATION SYSTEMS, AS WELL AS PROMOTE MY WATER ADVISOR AND OTHER TOOLS TO ASSIST WITH LEAK DETECTION ON THE USER END.

OUR SECOND GOAL IN WATER CONSERVATION IS TO REDUCE NON-REVENUE WATER.

ARE WE ALL FAMILIAR WITH THAT TERM? I ALWAYS LIKE TO KIND OF QUICKLY ASK, UM, JUST TO DEFINE IT AND MAKE SURE WE ARE, ARE AWARE OF WHAT IT IS.

UM, NON-REVENUE WATER IS THE WATER LOSS BEFORE IT REACHES THE METER ON THE USER SIDE.

AND SO WE'D LIKE TO TACKLE ON REDUCING THIS BECAUSE WATER LOSS BEFORE IT REACHES THE METER REPRESENTS A FINANCIAL LOSS FOR THE CITY, RIGHT? THAT'S WATER THAT WE ARE NOT GETTING A PAYMENT FROM, FROM OUR RESIDENTS.

SO CURRENTLY, UH, WE ARE AT 8.4%, WHICH IS REALLY AWESOME TO BE IN SINGLE DIGITS WITH WATER LOSS.

BUT OUR LEAK DETECTION TEAM HERE AT THE CITY OF MCKINNEY WANTS TO DO EVEN BETTER AND REDUCE THIS BY 1% ANNUALLY UNTIL 4% IS REACHED AND THEN MAINTAIN, UH, THAT NUMBER IN TERMS OF THE HOW THEY'D LIKE TO MEASURE ASSET GROWTH AND IMPROVE REPAIR TRACKING.

THEY'D LIKE TO DESIGN AND UPGRADE PIPE NETWORKS TO REDUCE PRESSURE AND FLOW CONDITIONS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO LEAKAGE.

AND THEY'RE ALREADY LOOKING AT LEVERAGING ALL SORTS OF REALLY NEAT TECHNOLOGY TO OPTIMIZE THE NON-REVENUE WATER MANAGEMENT, UM, ACCESS DEMAND, AND REDUCE EXCESSIVE FLUSHING.

ALRIGHT, OUR NEXT TWO GOALS WILL BE IN STORM WATER MANAGEMENT.

OUR FIRST GOAL HERE IS TO INCREASE STORM WATER TRACKING AND OPERATIONS.

THE WHY IS WE WANNA BETTER MANAGE FLOODING RISKS, PROTECT WATER QUALITY AND CONTROL INFRASTRUCTURE COSTS.

OUR TARGET IS TO CONDUCT TESTS ON WATER QUALITY QUARTERLY INSTEAD OF ANNUALLY.

MARK UP TO 75% OF STORMWATER DRAINS UP FROM 55% SO THAT THE COMMUNITY IS WHERE ONLY WATER STORMWATER SHOULD BE GOING DOWN THOSE DRAINS AND NOTHING ELSE.

AND THEN TO EXPAND OUR CATCHMENT SYSTEMS IN OUR WATERWAYS FROM ONE TO 10 TO HELP COLLECT FLOATABLE AND OTHER DEBRIS.

OUR SECOND GOAL IN STORMWATER MANAGEMENT IS TO INCREASE THE STORMWATER OUTREACH AND RESIDENT PARTICIPATION.

THE WHY HERE IS COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER EFFORTS, SAVE ON COSTS, CREATE A SENSE OF OWNERSHIP AND SHARED EMPOWERMENT IN KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY CLEAN AND PROVIDE VALUABLE HANDS-ON LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES.

OUR TARGET IS TO EXPAND THE COMMUNITY CLEAN OF EVENTS FROM 14 TO ABOUT DOUBLE 30, AND THEN ESTABLISH BASELINE DATA FOR GROW ZONES, WHICH AS THE NAME SUGGESTS, ARE AREAS THAT WE LEAVE TO GROW WITH BEAUTIFUL, WILD, UH, NATIVE, UH, PLANTS AND FLOWERS AND GRASSES.

IN TERMS OF OUR TARGET HERE, WE'D LIKE TO INCREASE EV CHARGING STATIONS FROM 23 TO 33 AND ESTABLISH BASELINE DATA ON CITY'S FLEET EMISSIONS.

HOW WE GET TO THIS TARGET IS, FIRST WE'D LIKE TO CREATE A PLAN AND TIMELINE TO REDUCE EMISSIONS FROM OUR CITY'S FLEET AND THEN REVISIT MCKINNEY'S CLEAN FLEET VEHICLE POLICY THAT WAS ADOPTED BACK IN 2015.

WE'D ALSO LIKE TO INSTALL ADDITIONAL ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS BECAUSE WE ARE SEEING A GROWING NUMBER OF REGISTERED EV USERS IN MCKINNEY.

AND WE'D LIKE TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE SUPPORTING OUR RESIDENTS WHO HAVE EV VEHICLES.

WE'D ALSO LIKE TO CREATE AN AIR QUALITY WEBPAGE AND CAMPAIGN, PROMOTE CARPOOLING, NO IDLING, AND OUR ENGINEERING SAFETY PROGRAM, AS WELL AS SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION AT LARGE.

LASTLY, WE'D ALSO LIKE TO VALIDATE VEHICLE USAGE TO SEE IF A CITYWIDE MOTOR POOL IS BENEFICIAL BECAUSE SHARING VEHICLES WITHIN DEPARTMENTS, WE'LL JUST HELP US OPTIMIZE FLEET A LITTLE BIT BETTER.

THE LAST GOAL, UH, THAT I'LL BE PRESENTING TODAY IS TO INCREASE THE CITY'S ENERGY EFFICIENCY TO PROMOTE CLEANER AIR.

THE WHY HERE IS THAT ENERGY EFFICIENT BUILDINGS AND A LARGER URBAN TREE CANOPY REDUCE EMISSIONS, IMPROVE AIR QUALITY AND LOWER CITY TEMPERATURES.

OUR TARGET IS TO ESTABLISH BASELINE DATA FOR ENERGY USAGE AND INCREASE THE URBAN TREE CANOPY FROM ABOUT 15 TO 30%.
