SO OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, THE MCKINNEY FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS WORKED REALLY HARD TO IMPROVE CARDIAC ARREST SURVIVABILITY. AND WE'VE ENCOUNTERED A NUMBER OF CHALLENGES. WE'VE HAD SOME DISPATCH CHALLENGES, SOME TRAINING, SOME ACTUAL RESPONSE CHALLENGES. AND EACH ONE OF THOSE CHALLENGES, WE'VE MET HEAD ON. SO WE'VE DEVELOPED SOME OF THOSE SOLUTIONS OURSELVES. BUT THIS TIME WE HAD A PROBLEM AND A SOLUTION THAT HAD TO BE SOLVED BY A FIFTH GRADER. SO I'M GOING TO TURN THIS OVER TO BATTALION CHIEF BEN JONES, WHO IS OUR EMS BATTALION CHIEF. SO THROUGH SOME DISCUSSIONS, I REACHED OUT TO SUPERINTENDENT PRATT AND HE PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH THE MISD GT PROGRAM, AND I PRESENTED THE PROBLEM TO MR. BURROW AND MR. WRIGHT. AND I SAID, HOW CAN YOU GUYS HELP US? AND THEY PUT THEIR HEADS TOGETHER AND CAME UP WITH THIS FANTASTIC IDEA OF USING THE GT PROGRAM AND THE 3D PRINTERS TO CREATE US SOME VERY UNIQUE BRACKETS THAT WILL HOLD THESE AEDS. HE WAS LIKE HE DID NOT UNDERSTAND COMING TO AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL EXPECTING 3D PRINTING AND 3D DESIGN TO HAPPEN. SO WE WERE LIKE, WE GOT IT, DON'T WORRY. SO WE LAUNCHED WITH BATTALION CHIEF JONES, SO YOU CAN SEE THAT HE CAME AND SHOWED US THE IMPORTANCE OF WHAT THESE MACHINES WILL DO AND HOW WE CAN HELP CONTRIBUTE TO OUR COMMUNITY. SO THEN WE GOT TO WORK. WE FIGURED OUT THE MEASUREMENTS OF THE MACHINES, OF THE EXTERNAL BATTERIES FOR SOME OF THE ONES LOCATED IN PARKS AND OTHER AREAS OF MCKINNEY. AND THEN WE WENT INTO OUR DESIGN PROGRAM, WHICH IS CALLED TINKERCAD, WHERE OUR STUDENTS WORKED TO CREATE THEIR DESIGNS AND THE RESULTS. WE WERE ABLE TO CREATE KIND OF OUR BACKBONES. AND THIS IS THE WORK OF A CULMINATION OF A TON OF DIFFERENT STUDENTS. WE'RE TALKING THIRD, FOURTH AND FIFTH GRADERS AND EVEN NOW SIXTH GRADERS BECAUSE WE STARTED THIS LAST YEAR. BUT YOU CAN KIND OF SEE THAT IT'S KIND OF HARD, BUT THE COST OF THAT ONE ALONE IS ABOUT $7 WORTH OF FILAMENT. RIGHT? SO BUT THAT'S ONE KID'S DESIGN OR ONE PIECE OF THAT

AND WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE IS, HOW COULD WE BEST REPRESENT MCKINNEY, OR HOW CAN WE BEST REPRESENT THE DEPARTMENTS THAT YOUR MACHINES WILL GO IN? SO HERE ON DISPLAY ARE SOME MCKINNEY THEMED ONES WHERE WE'RE ABLE TO TAKE IMAGES AND BE ABLE TO PUT IT IN OUR PROGRAM. GOOD EVENING. MAYOR. MEMBERS OF COUNCIL, MCKINNEY SCHOOL BOARD. I'M KEN CARLY, AIRPORT DIRECTOR. PROVIDE A LITTLE UPDATE ON THE AIRPORT AND SOME MORE FOCUSED DISCUSSION A LITTLE BIT TONIGHT ON THE COMMERCIAL SERVICE PROJECT WE HAVE UNDERWAY. JUST SOME FACTS AND FIGURES KIND OF START OFF WITH AIRPORT WAS OPENED IN 1979. THE CITY'S ALWAYS BEEN THE OWNER SPONSOR OF THE AIRPORT. WE'RE ONE OF ONLY 122 NATIONAL AIRPORTS OUT OF THE ALMOST 3000 AIRPORTS IN THE COUNTRY. A NATIONAL AIRPORT IS AN FAA DESIGNATOR FOR THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF GENERAL AVIATION. AIRPORT, GENERAL AVIATION AIRPORT. IT'S PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING. ANY AIRPORT THAT SERVES EVERYTHING EXCEPT COMMERCIAL PASSENGER SERVICE, SCHEDULED PASSENGER AND CARGO SERVICE. WE ARE A RELIEVER IN THE REGION FOR DFW AND IN THE IN THE SENSE THAT WE PROVIDE AERONAUTICAL SERVICES AND FACILITIES FOR GENERAL AVIATION AIRCRAFT, AND THAT RELIEVES SOME OF THAT CONGESTION AT THE AT THE OTHER COMMERCIAL SERVICE AIRPORTS. WE HAVE A CONTRACT TOWER THAT OPERATES AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER OPERATES FROM 6 A.M. TO 10 P.M. EVERY DAY. WE'RE ACTUALLY THE 10TH BUSIEST AIRPORT IN THE STATE IN TERMS OF OPERATIONS, AND THE 99TH BUSIEST IN THE COUNTRY IN TERMS OF OPERATIONS. 2023 ECONOMIC IMPACT. WE'LL TALK A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT THAT IN RELATION TO THE AIRPORT IN A MINUTE. ALMOST 300 MILLION IN ECONOMIC OUTPUT FROM ALL THE GENERAL AVIATION ACTIVITY THAT'S GOING ON AT THE AIRPORT TODAY. AND WE'RE VERY WELL POSITIONED TO EXPAND ON BOTH GENERAL AVIATION AND COMMERCIAL SERVICE GOING FORWARD, PRIMARILY BECAUSE WE HAVE LAND TO DEVELOP ADJACENT TO THE AIRPORT. OUR BUSINESS MODEL IS ONE WHERE THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF THE AIRFIELD IS FUNDED, WITH THE REVENUES THAT WE GENERATE FROM FUEL SALES, HANGAR, OFFICE

RENTS, GROUND LEASES AND OTHER OTHER AERONAUTICAL SERVICES THAT WE PROVIDE ABOUT A $16 MILLION OPERATING BUDGET EVERY YEAR. A GOOD PORTION OF THAT IS THE COST OF GOODS SOLD FOR THE WHOLESALE PURCHASE OF THE FUEL THAT WE SELL. I MENTIONED THE $299 MILLION ECONOMIC ACTIVITY, AND THEN WE GENERATE ABOUT 3.7 MILLION IN AD VALOREM TAXES. THOSE ARE ALL FIGURES TIED TO 2023. THE AD VALOREM TAX FIGURES DO FLUCTUATE A LITTLE BIT EVERY YEAR. I'LL SHOW YOU A TABLE AT THE END OF THE PRESENTATION THAT SHOWS WHAT THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS HAVE DONE IN THAT AREA. SOME CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS JUST LOOK AT THE AIRFIELD AND STUFF THAT WE'RE WORKING ON TODAY. ON THE AT THE RIGHT END, WE'RE DOING THE BLUE AREA. AT THE RIGHT END OF THAT DIAGRAM IS THE NORTH END OF THE AIRPORT. WE'RE WORKING RIGHT NOW ON A 500 FOOT RUNWAY EXTENSION THAT WILL COMPLETE IN AUGUST OF THIS YEAR, AND THAT WILL BRING THE TOTAL RUNWAY LENGTH TO ABOUT 8000FT, 8002FT. SEVERAL OTHER PROJECTS ON THE WEST SIDE, WHICH IS AT THE TOP OF THE DIAGRAM IN THE GENERAL AVIATION MIDFIELD AREA, WE'RE COMPLETING THE FIRST PHASE OF A TAXIWAY REHABILITATION PROJECT. IT ALSO CONSTRUCTED SOME ADDITIONAL CONNECTORS ONTO THE MOVEMENT AREA. PHASE TWO IN THE DARK GREEN IS GETTING READY TO START NOW, SO WE'LL CONTINUE THAT TAXIWAY REHABILITATION TOWARDS THE SOUTH END. AND THEN WE'VE HAD A NUMBER OF PROJECTS IN THAT KIND OF MIDFIELD AREA IN THE LIGHT AND DARK PURPLE, WHERE WE'RE DEVELOPING LAND UNDERGROUND LEASES FOR AERONAUTICAL USES. SO WE'VE GOT OUR FIRST HANGAR BUILT. WE JUST SIGNED ANOTHER GROUND LEASE FOR A FIVE ACRE PROJECT THAT'S GETTING READY TO START, THAT WILL BUILD ANOTHER HANGAR VALUED AT ABOUT $33 MILLION, AND IT WILL HOUSE A NEW FLEET OF AIRCRAFT. AND THEN THE DARK PURPLE THERE IN THE FRONT IS A TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, AND THAT'S THEIR LOCATION FOR THEIR NEXT HANGAR.WE'RE STARTING TO WORK WITH THEM ON ON THE DESIGN OF THAT AS WELL. AND THEN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN IS THE COMMERCIAL SERVICE PROJECT. AND I'VE GOT A DIAGRAM HERE IN A MINUTE THAT BLOWS THAT UP AND SHOWS IT A LITTLE MORE DETAIL.
OF COURSE, WE OVERLAID THE 399 SPUR SPUR EXTENSION ONTO THIS DIAGRAM AS WELL. WE FEEL THAT WILL ALSO GENERATE ADDITIONAL DEMAND FOR AERONAUTICAL USES OF THE AIRPORT, JUST BECAUSE IT MAKES IT MORE CONVENIENT AND QUICKER TO TO GET TO THE AIRPORT FROM THE SOUTH. SO THIS IS ALL THE INFRASTRUCTURE THAT'S BEING CONSTRUCTED TODAY ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE AIRPORT.
IT'LL BLOW UP OF IT. YOU CAN SEE WE'VE GOT A 46,000 SQUARE FOOT TERMINAL, FOUR GATES, DAY ONE. IT'S EXPANDABLE TO SIX WITH ADDITIONAL APRON AREA TO BE CONSTRUCTED AT A LATER DATE TO THE EAST, WHICH IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DIAGRAM. ABOUT 1000 PARKING SPACES FOR REVENUE.
REVENUE PRODUCING PARKING SPACES FOR VEHICLES, A COUPLE OTHER LOTS FOR RENTAL CARS AND EMPLOYEES. OF COURSE, THE APRON ITSELF, THE ROUNDABOUT ENTRANCE OFF OF FM 546 AND THE TERMINAL LOOP INFRASTRUCTURE, AS WELL AS THE FIRST PHASE OF A PARALLEL TAXIWAY. AND THEN WE HAVE SOME DEICING AND FUELING INFRASTRUCTURE THERE IN THE AREA AT THE END OF THE APRON LEADING OUT TO THE THE AIRFIELD. SO ALL THAT CONSTRUCTION IS UNDERWAY. THE REVENUES FROM THE OPERATIONS, YOU KNOW, PAY FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF THE AIRPORT, BUT IT ALSO GENERATES TAX REVENUE THROUGH THE BUSINESS AIRCRAFT THAT ARE BASED THERE. AND THE VALUE OF THE BUILDINGS AND EVERYTHING THAT'S DONE BUILT ON THE AIRPORT'S GROUND LEASES. SO YOU CAN SEE HERE MOST RECENTLY TAX YEAR 2025, FISCAL YEAR 26, GENERATING ABOUT 3 MILLION IN TOTAL, WITH ABOUT 1.9 MILLION GOING TO THE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT. AND WE SEE THOSE NUMBERS. YOU KNOW, THEY DO FLUCTUATE. AIRCRAFT ARE MOBILE ASSETS. THEY YOU KNOW, THEY THEY BASE A DIFFERENT AIRCRAFT, AIRPORTS AND THEY MOVE, YOU KNOW, THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. SO THOSE NUMBERS ARE ALWAYS GOING TO FLUCTUATE BASED ON HOW MANY BUSINESS AIRCRAFT ARE BASED AT THE AIRPORT. BUT THOSE NUMBERS WILL LIKELY GROW OVER TIME. WE'RE BUILDING MORE HANGARS. WE'RE SEEING PRIVATE COMPANIES COME IN AND LEASE GROUND AND BUILD HANGARS. SO OVERALL, WHILE THEY FLUCTUATE FROM A YEARLY BASIS, THE TREND IS IS GROWING. AND YOU CAN SEE SINCE 2013, YOU KNOW, WE'VE GENERATED ABOUT 34 MILLION IN TAX REVENUE. AND THAT'S A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE. I THINK FOR US THAT'S WHEN THE CITY BOUGHT THE THE FIXED BASE OPERATION AND BROUGHT THOSE AERONAUTICAL SERVICES IN-HOUSE AND REALLY STARTED TO FOCUS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AIRPORT FOR, FOR THE PURPOSE OF GENERATING THESE KIND OF REVENUE STREAMS BACK TO THE COMMUNITY. AND WITH THAT, I WILL SHARE A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ECONOMIC IMPACT THAT WE EXPECT TO SEE FROM THIS TRANSITION TO COMMERCIAL SERVICE. SO I THINK WE'RE REALLY GOING TO GROW FROM THAT ROUGHLY $300 MILLION A YEAR IN ECONOMIC ACTIVITY. SO WE WE BASICALLY COMMISSIONED A STUDY AND WE LOOKED AT THE FIRST AIRLINE THAT WE HAVE THAT'S GOING TO OPERATE AT THE AIRPORT.WE KNOW THAT'S A VELO. WE LOOKED AT THEIR LETTER OF INTENT AND WHAT THEY SHOWED US THAT THEY EXPECT TO OPERATE IN THE THIRD YEAR, WITH SEVEN AVERAGE DAILY DEPARTURES, ABOUT 450,000 ENPLANEMENTS A YEAR. AND WE TOOK THOSE NUMBERS AND WE BASICALLY COMMISSIONED A FIRM TO JUST LOOK AT THAT YEAR THREE IMPACT AND WHAT IT WOULD MEAN. AND SO THAT ONE AIRLINE, IF THEY BASICALLY KIND OF GROW THE WAY THEY THINK THEY'RE GOING TO GROW AS THEY START OPERATIONS HERE, WILL ADD ANOTHER 1850 JOBS TO THE OUTPUT OF THE AIRPORT, TO THE REGION, INCREASE THE WAGES TO BY ANOTHER 172 MILLION, GROW ANOTHER 394 MILLION IN ECONOMIC OUTPUT, IN ADDITION TO THE 299 WE HAVE TODAY, AND THEN GENERATE AN ADDITIONAL 55 MILLION IN TAX REVENUE ACROSS ALL CATEGORIES FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL. SO I THINK THAT'S THE KIND OF SHOWS, YOU KNOW, I THINK THAT, YOU KNOW, THE AIRPORT IS REALLY IN A HIGH TRAJECTORY GROWTH MODE. WE ARE PROUD THAT ONCE AGAIN, WE HAVE EXCEEDED THE STATE AND REGIONAL AVERAGES ON STAR PERFORMANCE AT EVERY GRADE LEVEL, IN EVERY SUBJECT AREA. WE DID ALSO SEE AN INCREASE IN OUR OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITY GRADE FROM 84 TO 88 THIS LAST YEAR. AND TO BREAK THAT DOWN A LITTLE FURTHER, THAT MEANS THAT 20 OF OUR CAMPUSES INCREASE THEIR OVERALL SCORES. AND WE WERE VERY PLEASED TO HAVE ALL THREE OF OUR HIGH SCHOOLS THAT EARNED AN A RATING. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT DROVE THAT A RATING WAS A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN OUR COLLEGE CAREER AND MILITARY READINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS. WHAT WE DID IS WE LOOKED AT WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT THINGS THAT STUDENTS CAN DO TO SHOW THEIR READINESS FOR LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL. AND WE MADE SURE THAT WE WERE PROVIDING THOSE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS TO DEMONSTRATE THE SKILLS THAT THEY HAVE. WE'RE PROUD OF OUR ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROGRAMS. THIS ALLOWS STUDENTS TO ACCESS COLLEGE LEVEL RIGOR WHILE THEY'RE IN HIGH SCHOOL. AND THIS LAST YEAR, WE HAD NEARLY 3000 STUDENTS THAT PARTICIPATED IN AN AP COURSE. WE ADMINISTERED OVER 5600 EXAMS. AND SOMETHING THAT I'M SUPER PROUD OF IS THAT ALMOST 74% OF THE STUDENTS WHO TOOK THOSE EXAMS EARNED A SCORE THAT WOULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR COLLEGE CREDIT, AND SOMETHING THAT'S UNIQUE ABOUT MCKINNEY ISD'S APPROACH HERE IS THAT EVERY STUDENT WHO ENROLLS IN THE COURSE IS EXPECTED TO TAKE AN EXAM. SO THIS REALLY REPRESENTS ALL THE LEARNING THAT HAPPENS IN THOSE CLASSROOMS. AND OUR DUAL CREDIT PROGRAMING. LAST, IN THE YEAR 2324, WE HAD ALMOST 5000 COLLEGE CREDIT HOURS THAT WERE EARNED COLLECTIVELY BY OUR STUDENTS. AND IN THE 2425 YEAR, YOU CAN SEE THAT INCREASED ABOUT 200 HOURS, WHICH ON AVERAGE IS ABOUT TWO CLASSES THAT STUDENTS CAN START THEIR COLLEGE JOURNEY. AND IN SOME INSTANCES, WE HAD STUDENTS EARN QUITE A LOT MORE THAN THOSE TWO CLASSES TO GET STARTED. WE'VE BEEN WORKING CONSISTENTLY ON OUR ATTENDANCE DATA IN OUR DISTRICT. LIKE MANY DISTRICTS AROUND US, WE SAW A DIP IN STUDENT ATTENDANCE DURING THE PANDEMIC YEARS, AND IT'S BEEN A SLOW RECOVERY TO GET ALL OF OUR STUDENTS BACK INTO THE GROOVE OF COMING TO SCHOOL ON A REGULAR BASIS, AND WE'VE BEEN VERY PROUD OF THE GAINS THAT WE'VE MADE IN THIS AREA. I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT FROM 2425, WE SAW NEARLY A 50% DECREASE IN OUR STUDENTS THAT WERE EXPERIENCING CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM. THOSE MEANS THAT MEANS APPROXIMATELY 1600 STUDENTS THAT WERE ABLE TO IMPROVE THEIR ATTENDANCE RATE AND HAVE GREATER ACCESS TO EDUCATION. AN INCREDIBLE FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT. I CANNOT LIST ALL OF THE ACCOLADES THAT ARE OUR ARTISTS ACROSS THE DISTRICT GATHER. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT MAKES ME FEEL VERY PROUD IS THAT OUR FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT TRULY FUNCTIONS AS A TEAM. AT OUR CONVOCATION THIS YEAR, YOU MIGHT HAVE SEEN ON SOME OF OUR SOCIAL MEDIA, WE HAVE FINE ARTS PROGRAMS FROM ALL OF OUR HIGH SCHOOLS COMING TOGETHER. THERE'S A THOUSAND KIDS ON ON THE FIELD JUST BEING THERE FOR MCKINNEY SPECIAL. OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT IS AMAZING AS WELL. AND ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I ALWAYS ADMIRE IS THAT THEIR MOTTO IS BETTER ATHLETES, BETTER PEOPLE. AND THEY REALLY TAKE THAT SERIOUSLY TO ENCOURAGE OUR STUDENT ATHLETES TO BE STUDENTS AND TO TAKE THEIR GRADES SERIOUSLY. THE AVERAGE GPA FOR OUR STUDENT ATHLETES IS 3.7 OR BETTER, AND WE HAVE ALL KINDS OF ACADEMIC ALL STARS IN OUR ATHLETICS PROGRAMS. WE'RE VERY PROUD OF THEM. AS I MENTIONED BEFORE, WE'RE REALLY TRYING TO HELP IN THOSE CRITICAL TRANSITION YEARS, HELPING OUR FIFTH GRADERS MOVE TO SIXTH GRADE, HELPING OUR EIGHTH GRADERS MOVE INTO HIGH SCHOOL. THERE'S A LOT TO LEARN AND TO KNOW. AND SOME OF OUR PARENTS WHO MAYBE THAT'S THEIR OLDEST CHILD. WE WANT THEM TO FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THE CHANGES THAT THAT THEIR CHILD IS GOING THROUGH. AND IT'S THE SAME AREAS THAT THE CITY OF MCKINNEY ALSO HAS TO DEAL WITH. AND SO WE WE FROM THAT TOOK TOOK THEIR RECOMMENDATION FROM THE STRATEGIC PLAN TO DEVELOP A LONG RANGE FACILITIES PLANNING COMMITTEE. WE MET OVER FROM OCTOBER OF 24, ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO MARCH OF 25, REALLY DEVELOPING THAT THAT MASTER PLAN FOR OUR FACILITIES. AND PART OF THAT WAS A RECOMMENDATION TO REPURPOSE THREE OF OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.
AND SO THROUGH THAT DATA THAT THEY REVIEWED IN THAT PROCESS WAS OUR DEMOGRAPHICS. AND AS THE CITY OF MCKINNEY KNOWS, THE VAST MAJORITY OF MCKINNEY ISD IS COVERED WITH THE CITY OF MCKINNEY, AND WE HAVE SECTIONS OF MCKINNEY ISD OUTSIDE OF OF THE CITY LIMITS AND OUTSIDE OF THE ETJ. AND AS A WHOLE, YOU SAW WHAT I CALL ANNUAL STARTS. AND ANNUAL CLOSINGS IS NOT NORMAL FOR THIS. COUNCIL LOOKS AT THAT DATA CONSTANTLY FROM YOUR PLANNING GROUP. ALL OF THAT'S IN MCKINNEY ISD, CHAMBERS GROVE AND CENTURY FARMS JUST NORTH OF THE COLLIN COUNTY OUTER LOOP, NORTH OF TRINITY FALLS IS IS ONE OF THOSE SUCH DEVELOPMENTS WHERE YOU SEE SOME ACTUAL LOTS BEING DEVELOPED IN PREPARED THE RIDGES WAY OVER ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE DISTRICT. AS I MENTIONED BEFORE, EAST RIDGE AND WEST RIDGE, RIGHT ON OUR BOUNDARY BETWEEN WITH PRINCETON ISD AND MELISSA ISD, AND THEN HONEY CREEK OVER BY TRINITY FARMS. HONEY CREEK CONTINUES TO GROW IN THAT AREA. PAINTED TREES, AS I MENTIONED, BETWEEN HARDIN AND LAKE FOREST NORTH OF 380 THAT THE. I'M SURE EVERYONE'S PRETTY FAMILIAR WITH. AND THEN WE HAVE THIS AREA JUST SOUTH OF TRINITY FALLS. IT'S A SMALLER DEVELOPMENT, 104 TOTAL LOTS THAT THEY'VE ALREADY POURED MOST OF THE THE ROADS IN AND, AND ARE PRETTY MUCH READY TO GO VERTICAL IN THOSE AREAS.AND THEN RIDGELINE AT BLOOMDALE AND HARDIN IN THAT AREA EXPECTING THAT TO REALLY BEGIN AND KICK OFF. YOU CAN SEE SOME OF THE DEVELOPMENT PICTURES THERE FROM OCTOBER OF 25, AND THEN TRINITY FALLS CONTINUES IN THEIR PHASES. WE'RE GOING TO KEEP IT FOUR LANES. WE'RE NOT GOING TO WIDEN IT THROUGH THE HEART OF MCKINNEY. BUT INSTEAD OF THAT CENTER TURN LANE OUT THERE, BIG SAFETY IMPROVEMENT. WE'LL HAVE A RAISED MEDIAN. SO HOPEFULLY WE'LL MAKE THIS ROADWAY A LOT MORE PEDESTRIAN FRIENDLY AND VEHICULAR FRIENDLY. WHEN WE GET DONE THAT WITH THAT PROJECT.THAT WON'T START, THOUGH, UNTIL ABOUT 2028. THAT'S WHEN TXDOT HAS FUNDING FOR IT, AND THEN IT'LL BE ABOUT THREE YEARS CONSTRUCTION WHEN THAT HAPPENS. NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THE BIG FUN ONE 380 AND 399. SO TXDOT'S LATEST ESTIMATE FOR THE ENTIRE CORRIDOR THAT GOES FROM DENTON COUNTY LINE TO HUNT COUNTY LINE, IT'S OVER $8 BILLION. SO TEXTILES GOT ITS ITS CHALLENGES TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FUND ALL THAT. AND THEN ALSO GIVE US A SCHEDULE WHEN ALL THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. THE FIRST PHASE WOULD BE JUST BUILDING THE FRONTAGE ROADS. AND SO IF YOU WERE HERE WHEN THEY BUILT THE SAM RAYBURN TOLLWAY, THAT'S WHAT THEY DID. THEY BUILT THE FRONTAGE ROADS FIRST AND THEN CAME BACK AND BUILT THE MAIN LANES. SO PROBABLY A VERY SIMILAR APPROACH TO, YOU KNOW, FIGURE OUT HOW TO FINANCE THAT BIG NUMBER. RIGHT. SO NOT HAVING TO FUND IT ALL AT ONCE. THE NEXT PROJECT CALLED MCKINNEY PARKWAY, THIS PROJECT IS COMPLETED. SO WE NOW HAVE CONNECTIVITY FROM LAKE FOREST OVER TO HARDIN. WE'VE GOT FOUR LANES AS YOU GET FARTHER TO THE WEST, HOWEVER, WE ONLY BUILT TWO LANES. AS YOU GET CLOSER TO HARDIN, THOSE SOUTHERN TWO LANES WILL COME IN ONCE DEVELOPMENT HAPPENS. ON THE SOUTH SIDE. WE'VE HAD SEVERAL DEVELOPMENTS LOOKING AT COMING IN THERE, SO THAT HOPEFULLY WILL HAPPEN SOONER RATHER THAN LATER. ANOTHER PROJECT WE WANTED TO HIGHLIGHT UP THERE BY JOHNSON MIDDLE SCHOOL IS THE JAMES PITTS EXTENSION THAT WE'RE WORKING ON. SO WE'RE GOING TO EXTEND JAMES PITTS SO WE HAVE A BETTER CONNECTION UP TO BLOOMDALE HELP IMPROVE CONNECTIVITY. WE WILL INSTALL A TRAFFIC SIGNAL UP THERE AT BLOOMDALE AS WELL TO HELP THOSE BUSSES GET OUT FROM JAMES PITTS. MAKE THAT A LITTLE MORE EFFICIENT FOR THEM.
