AS YOU MAY KNOW, THIS IS A TIME OF YEAR THAT MCKINNEY RESIDENTS THAT ARE INTERESTED IN SERVING ON A BOARD OF COMMISSION HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY, AS WELL AS THOSE INCUMBENTS WHO ARE WISHING TO REAPPLY TO CONTINUE SERVICE. ON AUGUST 25TH, THE CITY COUNCIL WILL BEGIN THE PROCESS OF APPOINTING NEW MEMBERS TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS, WITH THE TERM BEGINNING OCTOBER 1ST, 2026, AND APPLICATION SUBMISSION PERIOD IS CURRENTLY OPEN AND THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IS FRIDAY, JUNE 19TH. IF YOU ARE AN INCUMBENT WISHING TO REAPPLY, USE THE CURRENT EMAIL ADDRESS THAT YOU HAVE ON FILE. LOG IN AND UPDATE YOUR APPLICATION AS NECESSARY, AND INTERVIEWS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN JULY. AS CAITLIN MENTIONED THERE, MY CLIENT COULD BUILD OR MY CLIENT, A USER COULD BUILD MULTIFAMILY ON THIS NOW UNDER HOUSE BILL OR SENATE BILL. 840 AS A MATTER OF RIGHT, WE THINK IT'S BETTER TO GO UNDER YOUR STRAIGHT MF 36 ORDINANCE. THAT'S CONFUSING, EASIER TO ADMINISTER AND WHATNOT. BASICALLY, THE, THE, THE NUMBER OF UNITS PER ACRE, THE PARKING, ALL OF THOSE THINGS ARE CONSISTENT BETWEEN THE SENATE BILL MODIFICATIONS THAT YOU MADE TO YOUR OFFICE AND COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS, TO WHAT MF 36 IS. FROM OUR PERSPECTIVE, IT'S EASIER TO UNDERSTAND YOUR MF 36 ORDINANCE, AND WE THINK IT WOULD BE EASIER TO WORK WITHIN THAT CONTEXT. AND WOULD THERE BE BE ANOTHER LIGHT THAT WOULD NEED TO GO IN THERE BASED OFF TRAFFIC? THAT'S WAY AHEAD OF WHERE WE ARE IN THE PROCESS? MR.
