[CALL TO ORDER]

[00:00:05]

TO CALL THE MEETING ANY CORPORATION TO ORDER ONE ON THIS. THURSDAY, JUNE 25TH. I'D LIKE TO START OFF BY SAYING TODAY IS. THIS MONTH IS NATIONAL CANCER SURVIVOR SO ANYBODY THAT'S CANCER CANCER? THIS IS MENTAL. WE ALSO HAVE. NATIONAL DAY THAT I DON'T REALLY RECOGNIZE. BUT I CAME ACROSS A COUPLE TODAY. THAT KIND OF STEPPED ME. IT'S NATIONAL HANDSHAKE DAY. WOULD IT REALLY HONOR THAT TODAY? IT'S A NATIONAL BOMB POP DAY.

YOU CHANGED THE NAME OF THAT OBSTACLE PRETTY SOON. SO I'M GONNA GO WITH NATIONAL LEON DAY. I HAVE TO EXPLAIN THAT IT'S JUNE 25TH SO WE'RE SIX MONTHS AWAY FROM CHRISTMAS AND LEON IS NOEL SPELLED BACKWARDS. AND WE KNOW HOW FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON IS FOR MCKINNEY AND THE ECONOMY, SO LET'S THINK ABOUT NATIONAL. OUR MOVEMENT TODAY ONE HAS TO THINK ABOUT UNITY. AND MY IMMUNITY. I DON'T MEAN THAT WE'RE ALIVE BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US IS DIFFERENT. WHAT I MEAN IS THAT WE ALL HAVE COMMONALITIES. WANT TO TRY AND THINK ABOUT WAYS WE COULD USE OUR DIFFERENCES TO BENEFIT WHAT WE ALL HAVE. JUST TAKE A FEW SECONDS.

HAVE ANY PUBLIC COMMENTS NOW ON THE AGENDA ITEMS. WE'RE GONNA MOVE ON TO

[20-0520 Minutes of the McKinney Community Development Corporation Meeting of May 28, 2020.]

THE CONSENT. WE HAVE 2002 MINUTES. I NEED EMOTION IN A SECOND TO GET THOSE FRUITS.

[20-0475 Minutes of the Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Advisory Board Meeting of May 14, 2020]

YOU'RE THINKING 20047 MINUTES OF PART RECREATION MEETING MAY 14.

THANK YOU. REPORTS WE HAVE OUT IN 2005 TO 1 FINANCIAL REPORT. GOOD MORNING CHANCELLOR.

[20-0521 Financial Report]

FINANCIAL COMPLIANCE MANAGER. WE HAVE THE MONTH OF MAY TODAY AND AT $1.3 MILLION IN REVENUES.

EXPENDITURES WERE $19 LITTLE BIT HIGHER THAN WE USUALLY SEE WHAT THERE IS ABOUT 900,000 PROJECT EXPENDITURES. FIRST ROUND OF COVE. IT CAME OUT IN THE MONTH OF MAY. THINK PARK AND PARK INSTRUCTION PLANNED AT AROUND $500,000 OF IMPROVEMENTS GOING ON IN THE MONTH OF MAY, SO IT'S PRETTY BUSY ACTIVITY FOR PROJECTS. MOVING ON TO SELLS X, SO MAKE OUR AFTER SCHOOL TO THE MONTH OF MARCH. AND WE SAW 1.1% DECREASE. UM THAT WAS BETTER THAN WHAT WE EXPECTED. WE HAD PROJECTED POSSIBLY AROUND 10 TO 15% DECREASE. AND IF YOU SEE YOUR SISTER CITIES THERE AROUND THAT 10% MARK, SO WE'RE TRAINING BETTER THAN THEM, AND THAT'S OUR FIRST. MARK OUR FIRST DATA POINT CERTAINLY COVE IT 19. UM LCL TRENDS GOING OUT THE SAME FOR ANY QUESTIONS. YOUR SENSES. PART OF IT MIGHT BE THAT WE'RE GROWING CITY COMPARED TO SOME OF THE OTHER ONES ARE CLOSER TO BUILD OUT. OUR MIGHT HAVE, LIKE, YOU KNOW, THEY'RE SELL. SEX NUMBERS ARE HIGHER THAN OUR SO THEIR PERCENTAGES ARE GOING TO LOOK MORE LIKE THAT. BUT. THEY ALSO COULD BE THAT YOU KNOW THE WORK THAT YOU'VE ALL DONE IN A T. C IS DON'T THE CITY IN THE WAY SELL SEX BEEN GROWING? SO BESIDES THAT, BY INDUSTRY, THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS REALLY DOWN

[00:05:02]

WITH CONSTRUCTION. THAT'S KIND OF EXPECTED. SO BESIDES THAT, EVERYTHING ELSE FOOD ACCOMMODATION WAS DOWN, TOO. BUT RETAIL TRADE WAS UP, YOU KNOW 200,000 SO THINK RETAIL TRADE SOMETHING THAT'S KIND OF CARRYING US STAYING CLOSE, THOUGH. ABOUT LAST YEAR'S NUMBERS, SO. ALREADY HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CHECKS. THANK YOU. 20 TO 2 WE HAVEN'T

[20-0522 Board and Liaison Updates Board Chair City of McKinney Visit McKinney McKinney Economic Development Corporation McKinney Main Street/MPAC McKinney Parks and Recreation]

BEFORE. HEY, LET'S VISIT. GOOD MORNING, EVERYBODY GET TO SEE YOU AGAIN. THIS I'M VANESSA SALES MANAGER FROM VISIT MCKINNEY WANTED TO SHARE THESE THINGS THAT WE HAPPENED, TIO EXPERIENCE IN MAY, WHICH WITH EXCITING THINGS, WE COMPLETED OUR TEXAS MUSIC FRIENDLY CERTIFICATION AND AT THE MAY 19TH COUNCIL MEETING, THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE CALLED IN TO MAKE THAT OFFICIAL SO NOW. MCKINNEY IS OFFICIALLY A MUSIC FRIENDLY CITY. SO ALONG WITH OUR FILM WERE ALSO MUSIC. WE'RE JUST GONNA HAVE ALL KINDS OF ARTS AND THINGS GOING ON HERE, AND WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT THAT. AND WE CELEBRATED OUR NATIONAL TOURISM WEEK THE FIRST WEEK IN MAY THAT WAS MADE THIRD THROUGH NINTH. AND DURING THAT WEEK, WE ENCOURAGE CITIZENS TO BE TOURISTS IN THEIR OWN CITY. SO AMIDST ALL THE COVE, IT'S STUFF THAT'S GOING ON. WE HAD A LOT OF VIRTUAL THINGS AND ENCOURAGED PEOPLE TO DO THE COMEDY AND SPORTS CLUB HERE IN DOWNTOWN, SO THAT WAS A LOT OF MEN. AND THEN OUR FAVORITE THING THAT WE DO IS THE APPRECIATION DAY FOR OUR FIRST RESPONDERS. THIS TIME WE TOOK IT TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING AND WE HAD FRESH MEX. IS A CATERING COMPANY, AND WE WANT TO THANK YOU ALL AND CDC FOR HELPING A SPLIT THE COST WITH THAT, JACKIE, WE APPRECIATE YOU ATTENDING. ALSO, WE HAD MERE FULLER THERE. MALEY WAS THERE, MR GRIMES, THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING ASSISTANT MANAGER.

A CITY MANAGER BARRY SHELTON ALSO ATTENDED STEVE HILTON AND KIM PHAM AS WELL AS OUR COUNCILMAN, CHARLIE PHILLIPS, SO WE REALLY APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT. THAT OUR CITY GAVE TO OUR FIRST RESPONDERS ON THE DAY TRIPPER. YOU GUYS KNOW THAT CHECK. GARNER WAS HERE BACK IN FEBRUARY, SO THAT PROGRAM BEGAN AIRING IN MAY, ALTHOUGH HERE IN THE DALLAS AREA, IT DIDN'T PROGRAM THE SHOW DIDN'T PROGRAM TOE LAST WEEK BECAUSE THERE WERE SOME CONFLICTS WITH KEIRA.

BUT WE HAD A LOT OF GREAT FEED IN THAT WITH SOCIAL MEDIA. IT WAS VERY EXCITING AND YOU CAN GO TO OUR WEBSITE AND BETTE HAS A LINK THERE WHERE IT'S GOT SOME BEHIND THE SCENES PICTURES. AND THEN ONE OTHER EXCITING THING, AND THIS IS ACTUALLY FOR JUNE, BUT I'M GOING TO GO AHEAD AND SHIRT WITH YOU LAST WEEK WITH THE DAY TRIPPER AIRING. WE ALSO HAD THE YELLOW CREW HERE, WHICH IS ANOTHER SHOW THAT'S BASED OUT OF SAN ANTONIO, AS WELL AS WE HAD SOME INFLUENCE OR COUPLES THAT WERE HERE, A COUPLE THAT WERE INFLUENCERS AND BECAUSE OF ALL THAT WE HAD A LOT OF GREAT SOCIAL MEDIA FRENZY GOING ON, AND BETH SAID THAT WE ACTUALLY HAD IN ONE WEEK. MORE PEOPLE LIKE OUR FACEBOOK PAGE THAN WE NORMALLY HAVE IN A WHOLE MONTH.

SO THAT WAS EXCITING FOR US, AND WITH THAT, I'LL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. THANK YOU SO MUCH. GIVE IT EVERYTHING THAT YOU CAN GET. GOOD MORNING. MADAM CHAIR MEMBERS ABOARD, MADAM PRESIDENT PAUL GRIMES CITY MANAGER. SORRY I'M LATE. I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH HIS HONOR OUR MAYOR, PHONE CALL TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THAN I THOUGHT. SO ANYWAY, JUST FEW THINGS I WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU. OUR BUSINESS RECOVERY GRANT PROGRAM, THEY WOULD BE ONE THAT IS FUNDED WITH CARES. ACT FUNDS THAT IS LIVE THAT MISSION. I WILL PROBABLY MAKE SURE THAT MORE WITH YOU, BUT. THAT WENT LIVE YESTERDAY. THAT IS UP TO $5 MILLION OF CARES ACT FUNDS THAT WILL BE USED FOR BUSINESSES THAT ARE SMALL BUSINESSES. GENERALLY I THINK IT'S ABOUT 100 EMPLOYEES. IT'S ANA GRADUATED BASIS. THERE'S AN APPLICATION PROCESS. IT IS A FAIRLY THOROUGH APPLICATION PROCESS BECAUSE THIS IS FEDERAL MONEY, AND IT HAS TO BE AUDIBLE. SO WE ARE AND WE ARE COLLABORATING WITH FRISCO AND ALAN ON THIS PROGRAM, SO THEIR PROGRAMS ARE ACTUALLY VERY SIMILARLY SITUATED. THEY'RE STRUCTURED AS HIS MCKINNEY. SO THAT IS LIVE AS OF YESTERDAY. I FIND MORE INFORMATION THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. JOHN AND JUDY GATE LIBRARY IS OPEN, UM, EXPANSION HAS NEW SPACES AND FEATURES THAT WERE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THE COMMUNITY'S GONNA LOVE SO THAT LIBRARY IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, YET, IT'S REALLY, REALLY, REALLY A NICE EDITION, AND THEY'VE REALLY OPENED IT UP IN THERE. WHEN YOU WALK IN. IT FEELS VERY DIFFERENT. LOOK, HAS A VERY DIFFERENT LOOK TO IT SO. EXCITED ABOUT THAT, UM, AS A REMINDER RESIDENTS CAN PROVIDE INPUT IN RANK OUR BUDGET PRIORITIES THROUGH OUR VIRTUAL

[00:10:04]

TOWN HALL PLATFORM. SO IF YOU KNOW, FOLKS WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN OUR BUDGETING PROCESS. YOU CAN GO ONLINE. WE HAVE A VIRTUAL TOWN HALL PLATFORM WHERE YOU CAN. THERE'S LIKE A BUDGET EXERCISE, AND THEY CAN ACTUALLY IDENTIFY THEIR OWN PRIORITIES IF THEY WERE IF THEY WERE MAKING A BUDGET. WHAT WOULD THEY SPEND THE MONEY ON? WHAT WERE THEIR PRIORITIES BE, AND THAT'S ACTUALLY A VERY HELPFUL INFORMATION. WE BRING THAT BACK? WE SHARE THAT WITH COUNCIL. UM AND IT GIVES THE RESIDENTS AND OPPORTUNITY TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE SORT OF THE TUG OF WAR THAT OCCURS WITH LIMITED PUBLIC RESOURCE IS AND WHAT THOSE PRIORITIES MIGHT BE. ON THEN, FINALLY, I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU THAT WE WILL BE HAVING JULY 4TH FESTIVITIES. THEY WILL BE VERY DIFFERENT THAN PREVIOUS YEARS. SO OUR PARADE, I THINK AMY HAVE ALREADY TALKED ABOUT IT. YOU. HAVE YOU COME UP YET? OKAY, SHE'LL SHE'LL TALK ABOUT A MINUTE. WE DO. I ALSO HAVE A FIREWORKS DISPLAY. IT WILL BE.

WE WILL NOT HAVE LIVE MUSIC OR THE SORT OF FESTIVAL ENVIRONMENT. IT WILL BE. YOU CAN COME TO THE PARK WITH YOUR FAMILY AND WATCH THE FIREWORKS WERE TRYING TO KEEP FOLKS, OF COURSE BASED ON DISTANCE THERE. YOU COULD JUST GO WATCH THEM FROM SOME OTHER VANTAGE POINT IN THE CITY, BUT THEY WILL GO INTO SOME COST. WE CAN'T GET A REFUND, SO WE'RE GOING TO LAUNCH THOSE THINGS ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. SO. I'M GOING TO LAUNCH HIM AND HOPEFULLY FOLKS WILL HAVE TO BE ABLE TO ENJOY THEM. JUST IN A DIFFERENT WAY. THIS YEAR, I WILL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. OKAY. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. KENNY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION WAS REPORTED FASHION. MAN KENNY STREET. HELLO. GOOD MORNING, AMY ROSENTHAL, MCKINNEY MAIN STREET, MCKINNEY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER ON HIS MR GRIMES REFERRED JULY 4TH IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT IN DOWNTOWN. ON SATURDAY, JULY 4TH FROM 9 A.M. TO 11 A.M. WE HAVE A DRIVE THRU PARADE. VERY COOL. WE WILL HAVE FLOATS PARKED THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN. UM, AS YOU COME INTO DOWNTOWN WILL GIVE YOU A RADIO STATION TO TUNE INTO AND YOU CAN LISTEN, TEO, A LIVE FEED, TALKING ABOUT DOWNTOWN FROM THE MAYOR AND MEI LI SO LOT OF FUN COME OUT AND JOIN US. ON JULY, THE FOURTH. WAY ALSO HAVE A DRIVING CONCERT SERIES THIS SUMMER. FAREWELL ANGELINA ON JULY 18TH AT TOPS IS GONNA BE SUPER FUN. YOU DRIVE IN, YOU HAVE ENOUGH SPACE. TO BE FAR AWAY FROM EVERYBODY ELSE. YOU HAVE A LITTLE SPACE TO GET OUTSIDE OF YOUR CAR. SO JULY 18TH DRIVING CONCERTS. WE ALSO HAVE VALET IN DOWNTOWN RIGHT NOW. SO WITH THE CONSTRUCTION.

WAY WE'RE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO HELP PEOPLE PARK IN OUR COUNCIL HELPED WITH VALET SO ON THURSDAYS, FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS, DOWNTOWN BALLET AND THAT'S ABOUT IT. GREAT, THANKS.

RIGHT? GOOD MORNING. RYAN MULLINS, FILLING IN FOR THE BUT OFTEN IMITATED. NEVER DUPLICATED, POORLY REPLICATED MICHAEL KOWSKI. FOR PARKS AND RECREATION, SO WE'VE BEEN BUSY.

IT'S BEEN A BUSY TIME FOR US OR NEW FITNESS COURT HAS BEEN INSTALLED AND UP AND RUNNING AT BONNIE WING PARK. SO I WAS JUST OUT THERE LAST SATURDAY EVENING AND. SELL SOME PEOPLE KIND OF TRYING IT OUT. SO IT LOOKED. IT LOOKED AWESOME. THERE ARE NEW BUS HAS ARRIVED AT 27 PASSENGER BUS THAT WE'RE TRYING TO REPLACE THE TROLLEY WITH HAS ARRIVED. DOESN'T HAVE A RAP ON IT YET. WE'RE STILL WORKING OUT EXACTLY WHAT THE RAP WILL BE, BUT DURING THIS PANDEMIC TIME, WE DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY TRIPS PLANNED. OUR 27 PASSENGER BUS MAY TURN INTO A 56 PASSENGER BUS IF WE WERE TO TRY TO DO SOCIAL DISTANCING ON IT, SO. HOPEFULLY WILL BE OUT TO GET THAT BUS INTO SERVICE AND PLANT SOME TRIPS FOR IT WHEN THINGS START TO CHANGE. GODWIN PARK IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION IS PROGRESSING NICELY. OLD SETTLERS RECREATION CENTER AND THE SENIOR RECREATION CENTER. THEY WERE REMODELING PROJECTS ARE IN FULL SWING THERE.

STARTING TO PUT UP SOME OF THE EXTERIOR WALLS THAT WERE WORKING WITH IS YOU KNOW WHAT OLD SETTLERS WERE GOING INTO THE WHAT WAS THE OUTDOOR SPORTS PAVILION AND PUTTING UP WALLS THERE AND AT THE SENIOR CENTER WERE EXPANDING THE BUILDING OUT INTO THE PATIO AREA TO GRAB SOME MORE SQUARE FOOTAGE, AND THEY'RE STARTING TO PUT THOSE WALLS UP THERE. IT'S INTERESTING GOING INTO THE SENIOR CENTRE NOW BECAUSE IT'S JUST A GUTTED SHELL AND A LOT OF PLACES. YOU KNOW, I WAS HERE BEFORE IT WAS BUILT. I WAS HERE WHILE I WAS BEING BUILT IN JUST TO SEE IT THIS WAY NOW IS AMAZING TO SEE KIND OF THE SPACE, SO WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT THAT PROJECT. ARE REOPENING IS GONE FAIRLY WELL. SO FAR. APEX REOPENED ON JUNE 1ST. THERE.

VISITS FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 1ST OF THE SEVENTH WAS ABOUT 2300. THEN IT PICKED UP JUNE 8TH TO 14TH 2 A LITTLE OVER 3000 AND OF THE LAST FRIDAY BEFORE THE WEEK WAS COMPLETED. THEY HAD

[00:15:06]

HAD 2800 VISITS, SO WE'RE STARTING TO SEE A RAMP OF A BIT ON THE 15TH. WE OPENED UP OUR POOLS FOR EXERCISE. SO WHAT A PICTURE. YOU GO LAP SWIMMING OR TAKE A WATER EXERCISE CLASS AT WANTING TO MAXFIELD. YOU COULD TAKE A WATER EXERCISE CLASS, OR THERE'S SOME OPEN TIME TO DO SOME WATER WALKING BEEN FAIRLY SUCCESSFUL. ALTHOUGH THE CLASS SIZES ARE GREATLY REDUCED TO ABOUT NINE OR 10 PEOPLE OR PARTICIPANTS IN THE CLASS, BUT SO FAR IT'S BEEN SUCCESSFUL.

PEOPLE ARE WANTING TO COME OUT, AND THERE'S EVEN A SENIOR DEMOGRAPHIC THAT'S WANTED TO COME OUT OF THOSE BECAUSE SOME OF THE CLASSES THAT WANDA MAXFIELD. ARE THE FORMER CLASSES AT THE SENIOR CENTER SAYS WE DON'T HAVE THAT POOL. WE'RE TRYING TO DO HIM OUTSIDE.

TAKING A SORT OF A REGISTRATION FOR THOSE CLASSES BECAUSE IT IS LIMITED, SO IT'S SORT OF A CALL IN GET YOUR RESERVATION AND ATTEND THE CLASS. SO FAR HAS BEEN GREAT. WE ARE WORKING ON OPENING UP OUR OUTDOOR POOLS TO THE PUBLIC. THAT WILL HAPPEN ON THIS MONDAY, THE 29TH SO THERE'LL BE SOME PUBLIC TIME IN THERE. IN A TRYING TIME FOR US TRYING TO FIGURE OUT OUR WAY THROUGH ALL THESE SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES AND ALL THE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE GOVERNMENT FOR THEIR GOVERNOR FROM THE CDC FEEL LIKE WE'RE DOING A GREAT JOB FOR THOSE WILL BE OPEN UP TO THE PUBLIC STARTING ON THE 29TH SOME LIMITED HOURS IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE HOURS PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE. ALSO OPENING UP DRINKING FOUNTAINS WERE PRESENTED TO CIA PICKUP OF THINGS AND WE'RE TRYING TO SLOWLY DO IT DURING THIS TIME, I COULDN'T TELL YOU HOW MANY H O IS CALLED US CALLED MAY TO TALK ABOUT OPENING THEIR POOL.

AND THEY WERE THEY WERE CONCERNED HOW TO DO IT. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHAT ARE YOU DOING, AND I TOLD HIM THAT OUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE AND OPENING UP THE POLES WAS NOT NECESSARY.

THE GUIDELINES IT WAS STAFFING. SO DURING THIS PANDEMIC, WE FURLOUGHED 255 STAFF MEMBERS OF THE 360 OR SO THAT WE HAD ON PAYROLL AT THE TIME. THOSE WERE ALL PART TIME EMPLOYEES. A LOT OF THOSE WERE LIFEGUARDS. DURING THE SUMMERTIME, OUR EMPLOYMENT BALLOONS UP TO AS MUCH AS 550. SO WE WERE STILL ABOUT 200 EMPLOYEES LIGHT FOR A FULL SUMMER LOAD. WE DON'T NEED THAT THIS YEAR, BUT WE NEED TO DO SOME RE HIRING, SO STAFF HAS BEEN VERY BUSY HIRING AND TRAINING. AND HOW DO YOU TRAIN A LIFEGUARD? YOU KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE TO PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING, SO WE'RE TRYING TO FIND OUR WAY THROUGH THOSE GUIDELINES. HOW DO YOU OPEN UP, PULLS WITHOUT SHOWERS AND LOCKER ROOMS, AS THE GOVERNOR HAD SAID. WHEN THE TEXAS PULL CODES REQUIRED YOU HAVE SHOWERS AND LOCKER ROOMS FOR PEOPLE SO. SOME OF THOSE THINGS RELAXED. I JOKE THAT I FEEL LIKE A POLE VAULTER RUNNING DOWN THE TRACK AND THE BAR KEEPS GETTING LOWERED ON ME HIT AWAY BECAUSE THEY WERE PLANNING FOR THINGS. IT WAS GETTING LOWERED. I THINK WITH THE RECENT EVENTS, WE'RE GOING TO SEE THAT BAR EVER STAY THE SAME. MAY GO UP A LITTLE BIT. SO, UM. ON JULY 1ST WE'RE LAUNCHING OUR PARKS AND RECREATION. FACEBOOK PLAYED PAGE SO I HOPE YOU LIKE US, PLEASE LIKE US. GO ON LIKE THAT PAID, SO TRY TO DO A CAMPAIGN FOR IT. WE HAVE ONE ON ONE FOR A LONG TIME AND OUR COMMUNICATION OF MARKETING DEPARTMENT ALWAYS KIND OF WAS HESITANT FOR IT. AND ONE OF THE ONE OF THE REASONING WAS. IT WAS GOOD TO START AN ESTABLISHED THIS CITY PAGE AND THE CITY. MCKINNEY HAS ONE OF THE MOST. WELL LIKED CITY PAGES IN ALL OF NORTH TEXAS AS FARAS POPULATION IN THE CITY WHO THEY HAVE OUT THERE, SO WE FEEL NOW THERE'S A TIME TO BRANCH OUT FROM THEIR HOPEFULLY GET HER OWN FOLLOWING. WILL BE MORE PARKS RECREATION CENTER. WE FEEL LIKE WE CAN TELL OUR STORY A LITTLE MORE WITHOUT CONVOLUTED. THE CITY'S PAID WITH A BUNCH OF PARKS AND REC THINGS. WE COULD TELL THE STORIES OF THE PARKS LIKE WE DID WITH THE GEORGE WEB VIDEO.

WE CAN TELL PEOPLE ABOUT UNDERUTILIZED PARKS OR PLACES TO GO. OPEN SPACE PROGRAMS COMING UP, SO WE'RE REALLY, REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THAT. IN HIS CITY MANAGER PAUL GRIMES MENTIONED RED, WHITE AND BOOM. WE'RE FOCUSING MORE ON THE BONE PART OF IT THIS YEAR, SO TRYINGTO HAVE THE FIREWORKS SHOW. WE'VE HAD SOME HICCUPS ALONG THE WAY. OUR PARTY PROTECTS OUR FIREWORKS VENDOR DOES ABOUT 30 SHOWS A YEAR FOREST FIREWORK SHOWS AROUND THE FOURTH OF JULY. THEY DO MANY OTHER SHOWS, BUT 34TH OF JULY SHOWS THAT HAS BEEN REDUCED. BUT THEY HAVE CITIES MAKING THIS DECISION ALL THE TIME, WHICH YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A FIREWORK SHOW. ALAN PLANO GRAPEVINE. THEY'RE ALL HAVING FIREWORKS SHOWS SOME OF THE CITIES OF DALLAS HAS CANCELED. SO WE'RE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO SAFELY DO THAT. AZIZ WAS MENTIONED EARLIER. WE WILL HAVE SOME. AVAILABLE PARKING THERE BE VERY LIMITED, SO WE'RE WORRIED ABOUT ABOUT TRIALS COMING AROUND. I'VE GOT 750,000 SQUARE FEET OF OPEN GRASSY AREA OUT THERE. SO IF YOU DO COME OUT, PLEASE, YOU'VE GOT ROOM TO SOCIAL DISTANCE. WE'LL HAVE STAFF THERE. HOPEFULLY WE DON'T HAVE TO GET IN THE MONITORING OF THAT IF YOU WANT TO SOCIAL DISTANCE. YOU'VE GOT PLENTY OF SPACE OUT THERE TO DO IT ARE FIREWORKS SHOW WILL GO 600 FEET IN THE AIR. I WAS ASKING LAST NIGHT. HOW TELLS THE WATER TOWER GAVE NESBITT'S 190 FEET GOING TO GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE 600 FEET GOING TO BE 400 MORE FEET THAN THAT, SO I WAS SCOURING FACEBOOK LAST NIGHT TO KIND OF SEE IF ANYBODY HAPPEN TO TAG THEMSELVES. THAT GAVE NESBITT OR APEX OR SO ON JULY 4TH, AND I FOUND A FEW PEOPLE, SO THAT'S ANOTHER SITE TO GO AND MAYBE SIT AND WATCH IT. OUR FIREWORKS SHOW. I'VE BEEN TOLD BY THE VENDORS COULD BE SEEN TO

[00:20:03]

25 MILES AWAY, SO. SOMEWHERE IN THE CITY. IF YOU WANT TO WATCH THE SHOW YOU CAN. WE WILL HAVE A SIMULCAST WITH W R R OUT OF DALLAS. IT'S ONE A 1.1. THEY'VE GOT A GREAT SIGNAL ISSUE.

THEY'LL PICK IT UP ANYWHERE. SHE WATCH FROM YOUR CARD IN YOUR CAR, TURN ON THE RADIO AND HEAR THE MUSIC WITH IT. FOR THAT I'LL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS. I HAVE A QUESTION, DON'T YOU THINK I DID SEE THE FITNESS STATION. IS IT STILL GOING TO BE AROUND? IS NOT WHEN DID YOU SEE IT? IT'S OKAY. I DROVE THROUGH WITH MY DAUGHTER WHO WANTED TO GO FOR A DRIVE ON SATURDAY NIGHT AND, UH, IT WAS WRAPPED, SO I SAW IT AND I DIDN'T GO UP INSPECTOR BECAUSE I'D HEARD THE SAME THING IT WAS WRAPPED WAS COMING. YOU GO UP IN RESPECT TO MAKE SURE THE WHOLE THING WAS DONE, BUT I KNOW THAT WE'VE TAKEN THE FENCE DOWN, SO IT'S OPENED UP. SO ANYTHING COMING LATER, IF IT'S FAR AS A RAPPER THING IS JUST COSMETIC, SO. OR THREE OR FOUR PEOPLE. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE FOUND OUT ABOUT IT. WE HAD PLANNED FOR THIS, AS YOU KNOW, A LONG TIME AGO THAT IT'S GOT SPACE IN IT. YOU KHUN KHUN SOCIAL DISTANCE FOR INSIDE OF IT, SO YOU KNOW IT WAS PROBABLY CAN'T TAKE EVERYONE ON IT AT ONE TIME, BUT THERE'S OPPORTUNITIES THERE. THANK YOU. 2005 TO 3. YES, MADAM CHAIRMAN, MEMBERS OF THE BOARD SEVERAL

[20-0523 President’s Report]

THINGS ATTACHED. TO THE AGENDA WAS THE MOTHER REPORT ON GRANTS AWARDED AND JUST WANTED TO REMIND EVERYBODY. WE'VE GOT A PROJECT GRANT DEADLINE COMING UP ON TUESDAY 30TH. THEN WE HAVE REMAINING IN THAT PROGRAM, 661,000 PLUS FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, SO. NEXT MEETING PROJECT GRANT APPLICANTS WILL BE PRESENTING THEIR PROPOSALS TO REPORT. LIFE. FIRST THE SECOND CYCLE FOR RETAIL DEVELOPMENT. INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS OPENS. AND WE'VE HAD BOARD MEMBERS EXPRESS AN INTEREST IN HELPING TIO. MOAT AND COMMUNICATE. THAT PROGRAM TO THE COMMUNITY DOWNTOWN, IN PARTICULAR, AS SHE WOULD CALL IT IS FOR LEXIE RETAIL, WHICH IS RETAIL IN THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS AREA, AND THEN. GATEWAYS INTO THE CITY. SO INTERSECTIONS THAT ESCAPE RECENT CITY IT MIGHT BENEFIT FROM REDEVELOPMENT. SO WE HAVE THIS GREAT POSTCARD THAT THERE WAS DEVELOPED AS A LEAVE BEHIND FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT WANT TO GET OUT. TALK TO THE DOWNTOWN AREA. OTHER AREAS ABOUT PROGRAM. MR GRIMES MENTIONED THE TRI CITY SMALL BUSINESS GRANT PROGRAM OPENED ON THE 24TH APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED THROUGH JULY 8. EVER PULL UP TO FIVE MILLION. IN THAT GRANT PROGRAM. DOLLARS PASSED THROUGH TO THE COUNTY. THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS ARE ONLINE THAT BASICALLY 100 OR FEWER EMPLOYEES 15 MILLION OR LESS. AN ANNUAL REVENUE IN THE GRANT AWARDS ARE UP TO.

5000 AND THEY HAVE A LIST. THEY'RE ALSO ON THE WEB SITE LISTED THE TYPES OF BUSINESSES THAT MAY NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR APPLICATION TO THAT PROGRAM. ON THE SECOND ROUND OF THIS LONG BUSINESS GRAHAM PROGRAM THAT CDC ESTABLISHED WITH CITY WE HAD ABOUT 75. APPLY FOR THIS SMALL THIS THIS GRAND. SEVERAL OF THOSE HAD RECEIVED MONEY IN THE FIRST ROUND. SO WE'RE NOT WELL, SO WE'RE LOOKING AT 69. THEY'RE GOING THROUGH A PROCESS RIGHT NOW. 60 HOME BASED THAT HAVE APPLIED AS WELL. SO I HAVE TO HAVE THAT REVIEW COMPLETE AND FUNDS OUT. A WEEK AFTER JULY 4TH. INTERESTINGLY, WE HAVE 12 THAT DECLINE IN THE FIRST ROUND BECAUSE OF INFORMATION THAT WAS MISSING, NOT INVITED. AND WE MADE A REALLY CONCERTED EFFORT TO REACH OUT TO THOSE FOLKS TO GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO UPDATE THEIR APPLICATIONS THEY CONSIDERED. NONE OF THEM DID IT IN A COUPLE THAT I COMMUNICATED WITH DIRECTLY SAID YOU KNOW WHAT WE'RE DOING. OKAY. YOU DON'T NEED IT, SO I THINK THAT'S A GOOD SIGN. I ALSO THINK THAT WITH WHAT WE'RE SEEING IN TERMS OF NUMBERS IT'S GOOD TO HAVE THAT. I'M GUESSING I HAVE ABOUT 500,000 THAT IS BRANDED OUT, WHICH WOULD LEAVE SOME FUNDS THERE. SO IF THERE IS A NEED TO LOOK AT THAT DOWN. GET GOT THE ABILITY TO DO THAT ACT PRETTY NIMBLY. REQUIRED TO DO SO. AND THEN THE LAST THING I HOPE YOU TAKE TIME TO LOOK AT THE. HOW IMPORTANT IT WAS PROVIDED BY EMPTY BOWLS. DESPITE NOT BEING ABLE TO HAVE THE ACTUAL EVENT THIS YEAR.

THEY WERE ABLE TO PROMOTE ACTIVELY SELL TICKETS, TICKETS ONLINE AND EVEN WITHOUT

[00:25:03]

PROCEEDS FROM DAY OF THE EVENT, THEY STILL RAISE $70,000 ABOUT 60,000 WILL BE GRANTED TO COMMUNITY LIFELINE FOR THERE. AIR FOOD PROGRAM, SO I THINK THEY'VE DONE A GREAT JOB THEY HAD. THE 7% OF THE PEOPLE WHO PURCHASED TICKETS WERE FROM OUTSIDE MCKINNEY, SO I THINK IT HELPS DEMONSTRATE WHAT A GREAT JOB THEY DO, PROMOTING THAT EVENT THEY HAD MORE THAN 100 ARTISTS PARTICIPATING THIS YEAR. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. ARTS COMMUNITY IN MCKINNEY, AND THEY ALSO EVEN THOUGH THEY COULDN'T ACTUALLY BE THERE. FOR THE EVENT. THEY HAD A GREAT MOST OF FEATHERS COMMITTED SO IMPORTANT TO BRING THEM BACK NEXT YEAR. I'M HAPPY TO STAY PRETTY QUESTIONS. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED. BUT THEY WERE ABLE TO STILL RAISED SO STRICT.

CONTINUE ON WITH THEIR STAFF. MAYBE GIVE HIM A CALL. FIND OUT GETS HIS HANDS ON A GREAT JOB.

ALL BACK. THEY CAN DO THAT NEXT YEAR. GREAT JOB. I HAD TO DEAL WITH ISSUES. REGULAR GENT

[20-0524 Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by Odysseus Chamber Orchestra (PC#20-13) in the Amount of $12,000 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2020-2021 Concert Series to Include Five (5) Performances.]

THEY HAVE A VERY STRICT GUIDELINES. SO THEIR CLOTHES RIGHT NOW. THEY'RE THEY'RE REAL OPENING AT SEPTEMBER. YOU KNOW WHAT THE CITY IS GONNA BE. THEN THEY TELL YOU THEY'RE JUST WAIT, TO SEE RIGHT NOW. WHAT THEY'RE SAYING IS WHEN THERE WHEN THEY OPEN IS GOING THERE ONLY GONNA ACCEPT 30 PEOPLE. AND WOULD YOU PROCEED? WITH A CONCERT THAT WAS. YOU TRY. RANGERS WE'LL ARRANGE EVERYTHING. [20-0525 Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by The Heritage Guild of Collin County (PC #20-14) in the Amount of $15,000 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the Fall Murder Mystery, The Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk, Fall Fundraiser, 47th Holiday Tour of Homes and the Historic McKinney Farmers Market.]

GRANT APPLICATIONS HERITAGE FIELD, HE SEES 2014 IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 ADVERTISING MARKETING. CALL HER MYSTERY LEFT SEVEN GOES. PAUL FUNDRAISER, 47. GOOD MORNING, JAMIE PEDIGO HERITAGE GUILD OF CALLING COUNTY. RIGHT? I WONDER WHICH WAY IS THE RIGHT AREA? OH, GOOD MORNING. WHAT A HISTORIC YEAR, RIGHT. SO HERE WE ARE, AND I'M JUST KIND OF PROMPTED THIS BY SAYING THAT. WE DON'T KNOW WHAT SOME OF OUR EVENTS ARE GOING TO LOOK LIKE IN THE LATTER PART OF THE YEAR. WE'VE HAD PRETTY GOOD SUCCESS WITH OUR EVENTS THE SPRING DESPITE EVERYTHING, BUT I'VE GOT TWO MORE DETAILS ON THAT. WE'RE ASKING FOR $15,000 ON THIS REPRESENT 90% OF OUR BUDGET, WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY ON THE HIGH SIDE. USUALLY WE WANTTO FOR ONLY ABOUT 60 TO 75% BUT WE HAVE COMMITMENT THAT WE HAVE TO FULFILL TO SOME OF THESE MEDIUMS LIKE. COMMUNITY IMPACT INEDIBLE DALLAS AND LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE WE ARE HAVING TO CUT OUR BUDGET. I'M ACTUALLY PRESENTING TO MY FINANCE COMMITTEE TOMORROW. A BUDGET THAT IS REDUCED BY ABOUT 25% FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR, WHICH IS KIND OF A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS. BUT. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE. I JUST WANT TO POINT OUT THAT THROUGH THESE CHANNELS THAT WE YOU HAVE BEEN REPORTING ALL THESE YEARS. WE'VE SEEN A TREND UP. SO IF YOU LOOK AT THE SLIDE. IT SHOWS YOU THAT ALL OF OUR MAJOR EVENT HAD AN INCREASE IN 2019 AND SO FOR THAT, I THANK YOU AND APPRECIATE YOU. BUT HERE ARE THE HERE'S THE BAD NEWS. SHOW. THIS IS JANUARY THROUGH APRIL ARE 2019 REVENUES AND OUR 2020 REVENUES. YOU CAN SEE HOW THEY WERE AFFECTED BY THE SHUTDOWN. AND THEN OUR WEDDING INCOME, WHICH BASICALLY PAYS OUR STAFF IS GOING TO BE AFFECTED FOR A LONG TIME BECAUSE WEDDINGS ARE PAID 90 DAYS IN ADVANCE. AND WE HAD A LOT OF MONEY IN THE BANK FOR WEDDINGS THAT WON'T BE ABLE TO BE HELD UNTIL THE FALL OR LATER.

AND THEN THOSE TAKE THOSE WEEKENDS OFF THE TABLE FOR FUTURE SALES. AND SO WHILE MOST OF THEM WERE FURLOUGHED, WE DIDN'T REALLY LOSE ANYTHING STUFF FOR ABOUT TWO AND WE ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY SINCE WE'RE OUTDOORS TO START BEFORE MOST OTHER WEDDING VENUES. WE CALLED

THE MINIE, MO KNEES OR CURBSIDE CEREMONIES. WE GOT TO START HOLDING LITTLE ONE HOUR, TWO HOURS OUT IN THE GARDEN THAT HELPED A LITTLE BIT, BUT IT'S STILL A MAJOR HIT TO OUR BIGGEST REVENUE SOURCE. CHECK. GARNER. EVERYBODY SAW THAT CHECK. GARNER WAS HERE SO MUCH FUN. WE WERE SO HONORED TO HAVE SO MUCH OF THE PROGRAM. WE WERE ACTUALLY SHOCKED THAT I THINK WE GOT ABOUT NINE MINUTES, WHICH IS TO ME WAS SHOCKING, BUT I ATTRIBUTE THAT TO THE VOLUNTEERS THAT WERE THERE. JAMES LEFT TO EVERYBODY IN THIS ROOM KNOWS. THEY ACTUALLY SAID WHEN THEY WERE DOING THE LIVE FEED THAT IT WAS THE BEST THING THAT ATE AND MCKINNEY DON'T TELL MATT HAMILTON OR ROBERT LIFE ERRED, BUT YEAH, A CORN CASSEROLE OVER THE DUTCH OVEN THAT WASS OFF THE CHARTS DELICIOUS. AND IF YOU CAME TO THE DINNER, YOU GUYS ATE IT THERE AS WELL. UM, SO LET'S TALK ABOUT WHAT WE'RE DOING. COMING OUT. MURDER MYSTERY AUGUST 15TH. THE OUR FAN FAVORITES TEXAS A CIVILIAN HISTORIANS ARE BACK AND THEY ARE DONATING THEIR SERVICES THIS TIME BECAUSE OF THE HARDSHIPS THAT WE. OUR SUFFERING, AND THAT'S VERY SWEET OF THEM ALLEGES THAT MCKINNEY GHOST WALK, WE EXPECTED TO LOOK MUCH THE SAME WHERE WE WILL HAVE DIFFERENT EVENT ON OUR CAMPUS. WHAT WERE UNSURE ABOUT IT. THIS MOMENT IS THE TROLLEY, RIGHT IF THE TROLLEYS GOING GET TO COME BACK? AND IT WILL WE BE ABLE TO FILL THE TROLLEY, SO THAT PART IS PROBABLY GONNA LOOK DIFFERENT. UH, FARMER'S MARKET. CINDY KNOWS, JACK. YOU KNOW MOST OF YOU KNOW, THE FARMERS MARKET IS BACK. WE HAVE ELIMINATED 17 BOOTH TO SPREAD OUT, BUT WE ARE STILL WORKING ON THAT SPREADING OUT BECAUSE MOST OF YOU CAN ATTEST, IT'S STILL QUITE CROWDED. AND WE'RE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW WE CAN STAGGER PEOPLE AND MOVE PEOPLE'S LINES, SO SOME OF THE LINES HAVE BEEN MOVED TO DIFFERENT SPACES AROUND THE BOOTH. ANDI. WE'RE STILL WORKING ON THAT. WE'VE GOT SIGNED EVERYWHERE AND YOU KNOW, OUR VENDORS ARE TAKING PRECAUTIONS, BUT PEOPLE LOVE THEIR FARMERS MARKET AND THEY WANT TO BE BACK SO. WE CAN'T.

WE CAN'T FAULT THEM FOR THAT. AND WE'RE SO HONORED THAT THE CITY DEEMED THE FARMER'S MARKET ESSENTIAL. WE ACTUALLY ONLY LOST ONE MARKET DAY, WHICH HAS BEEN GREAT. JACKIE KNOWLEDGE.

WE HAVE TRIED A WEEKDAY MARKET. WE TRIED IT FIRST ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAY MORNING WHEN PEOPLE START TO GO BACK TO WORK. WE MOVED IT TO WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, AND I'M YESTERDAY WAS OUR LAST ONE BECAUSE WE WERE ONLY DRAWING ABOUT 30 40 CUSTOMERS A WEAK AND NEED LEAST 100 T MAKE IT VIABLE. SOME OF YOU KNOW, WE TRIED THAT IN STONEBRIDGE FEW YEARS AGO AND WENT FOR 45 YEARS AND SHE NEVER REALLY TOOK OFF. PEOPLE SAY THEY WANT IT. BUT, YOU KNOW, THEN THEY COME ONCE EVERY SIX WEEKS, AND IT'S NOT ENOUGH. UM, THEY'RE THE HOLIDAY TOUR HOMES OF AH, I NOTED. TRYING TO BE FUNNY. LIKELY TO BE A HISTORICAL YEAR, RIGHT? TYPICALLY, THIS TIME OF YEAR WE HAVE MOST OF OUR HOUSES ALREADY LINED UP, BUT WE THINK THIS IS GOING TO BE VERY DIFFERENT AT A LONG CONVERSATION LAST WEEK. WITH THE GALVESTON HISTORICAL FOUNDATION. THEY DO THEIRS IN MAY AND A ZOO LARGEST RESIDENTIAL HISTORICAL COMMUNITY AND THE STATE THEY HAVE A GREAT FORMAT. ANDI. I TALKED THROUGH WITH THEIR EVENT DIRECTOR, HOW THEY DID IT, AND SO WE'RE LOOKING INTO THOSE THINGS BECAUSE IT'S 150TH YEAR OF THE JOHNSON HEALTH AND THE DELANEY CAUGHT EDGE. WE WANTED TO FEATURE ALL THE HOUSES IN MCKINNEY THAT WERE BUILT IN THE 18 SEVENTIES, MAYBE EARLY 18 EIGHTIES. UM, AND THERE ARE NINE OF THEM. SO I HAVE TALKED TO SIX OF THE HOMEOWNERS. AND WE ARE LOOKING AT DOING A VIRTUAL OPTION WHERE WE WOULD GO IN IN AUGUST, SEPTEMBER OCTOBER, MAYBE AND FILM AND THEN WE'LL SOMEHOW MAKE USE OF THAT, INSTEAD OF ASKING PEOPLE TO OPEN THEIR HOMES, SO 1500 STRANGERS DURING. YOU KNOW? PLUS, EVEN SO, WE DIDN'T THINK THAT WOULD GO OVER VERY WELL.

SO WE'RE LOOKING AT HOW ALL THESE THINGS WERE GONNA LOOK JEFFREN AND COURSE THEY STILL ARE GOING TO REQUIRE PROMOTION. THEY STILL ARE GOING TO REQUIRE. YOU KNOW, GETTING THE WORD OUT AND LETTING PEOPLE KNOW THAT THE STILL VITAL AND. SO JUST A LITTLE STATS ABOUT PEOPLE COMING IN FROM OUT ACCOUNT. SO THE SPRING MURDER MYSTERY. WE HAD EIGHT OF OUR 64 GUESTS FROM OUT OF TOWN. THE GHOST WALK IS USUALLY OUR LARGEST PERCENTAGE OF OUT OF TOWN VISITORS AND ON THE HOLIDAY TOUR OF HELM'S LIKE I THOUGHT 12 TO 1500 PEOPLE. USUALLY HALF THE TICKET BUYERS ARE FROM OUTSIDE MCKINNEY, ON BEHALF OF THE TICKETS ARE PRE SOLD TO THE EMPTY BOWLS. AND THAT RIGHT? THAT WAS A GREAT MOMENTA BECAUSE THEY WERE ALREADY SELLING TICKETS. SO WE'RE HOPING GAME, THE SAME KIND OF ATTRACTION. WITH THAT, UH, ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS? I'M

[00:40:09]

TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO KEEP GOING. YEAH. YEAH AND I THINK MOST EVERYBODY NOTICED ON TOP OF IT. THEN WE HAD AN ACCIDENT AND SHOW A CAR FLEW OVER HIGHWAY FIVE AND FLAMED INTO THE OLDEST ALISON MCKENNEY. WEI ARE WORKING THROUGH THE INSURANCE PROCESS.

THERE'S ALSO ANOTHER CLAIMANT ON THE CLAIM BECAUSE HE HAD A CAR AS WELL. AND WE WERE FIGHTING THE COMPANY TO CALL THAT TWO SEPARATE EVENTS AND THEY SAID NO, BECAUSE IF YOU HAD NOT HIT THE OTHER VEHICLE, HE WOULD'VE KEPT GOING STRAIGHT ON HIGHWAY FIVE, SO. I UNDERSTAND THAT PROCESS, BUT NOT GOING TO HELP US IN THE SEGREGATION SO YEAH, ANYWAY, BUT. FORTUNATELY, WE BOUGHT IT STABILIZED, AND ACTUALLY, YOU CAN STILL TOUR IT. SOME PEOPLE WENT IN AT THE FARM DINNER AND WEI ARE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE SOME OF THE ORIGINAL WORKMEN WHO MOVED IT FROM TENNESSEE STREET IN THE EIGHTIES. TO BE REDOING IT ARE THE SAME. MASON IS WORKING ON IT, AND WE'RE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE THOSE KIND OF WORKFORCE IN THE KIDNEY. THANKS SO MUCH. HUGHES HIMSELF AND GET RID OF IT. OKAY, MOVING ON TO 2002 CONSIDERED HIS BEST

PROMOTIONAL COMMUNITY EVENT GRANT APPLICATIONS ABOUT BEAUTY. I SEE 205 FOR THE ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION. JAMIE PERICOS PRETTY HARD ACT TO FOLLOW. BUT I WILL TRY. UM, THANK YOU FOR THAT. AND HE'D BE HERE. MY NAME IS MARSHA. HOPE I'M WITH THE MCKINNEY COMMUNITY BAND. I HOPE YOU'LL INDULGE ME FOR A FEW MINUTES BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT WE'VE PRESENTED ANYTHING ABOUT ORGANIZATION FOR THIS GROUP. SO I'D LIKE TO TAKE JUST A FEW SECONDS TO TELL YOU A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION. LET ME SEE IF I CAN DO THIS RIGHT THERE WE GO. WE ARE A NON PROFIT, ALL VOLUNTEER MUSICAL ORGANIZATION AND I STRESS ALL VOLUNTEER AND NOBODY IN OUR COMMUTE. NOBODY AN ORGANIZATION IS PAID A SALARY. WE ARE VOLUNTEER MUSICIANS THAT DO THIS FOR BASICALLY THE LOVE OF MUSIC. WE'RE IN OUR 14TH SEASON WERE FORMED IN JULY 2006. WE PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY, ENGAGING FREE PUBLIC CONCERTS. WE TYPICALLY DO SIX PUBLIC CONCERTS IN MCKINNEY A YEAR AND OUR ATTENDANCE IS ANYWHERE FROM ABOUT 252 500 PEOPLE PER CONCERT. IN. I KIND OF DID THE STATISTICS FOR 2019 IN 2020 SINCE 2020 IS KIND OF A WEIRD YEAR, BUT WE REACHED 2000 PEOPLE WITH MUSIC FOR A PUBLIC CONCERTS IN THAT TIME FRAME. WE ALSO DO PRIVATE EVENTS AND WE REACHED ALMOST 10,000 PEOPLE IF YOU INCLUDE THOSE PRIVATE EVENTS, WE THINK WE DO A LITTLE BIT OF A DIFFERENT MUSICAL. I'M SEEING THEN YOU WOULD TYPICALLY GET IN MCKINNEY. AH LOT OF SINGERS OR GUITAR PLAYERS IN THE BARS. WHERE AIR FULL SIZE SYMPHONIC MAN AND WE PLAY A WIDE RANGE OF MUSIC. WHICH EXPOSES OUR AUDIENCE TO ALL KINDS OF JONAH'S. OUR CONCERTS ARE FAMILY FRIENDLY. OUR AUDIENCES RANGES FROM SENIOR CITIZENS, TIO YOUNG FAMILIES.

WE DO PROVIDE AN OUTLET FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME TO PURSUE OUR LOVING MUSIC TO DEVELOP OUR SKILLS AND TO PERFORM AND WE HAVE TWO SMALL ER'S ENSEMBLES, THE FLUTE CHOIR AND THE DANCE MAN. AND THEY'RE ABLE TO GO INTO VENUES THAT ARE A LITTLE BIT TOO SMALL FOR THE ENTIRE CONCERT BAND, SO THEY PROVIDE ADDITIONAL OUTREACH AND THE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL REVENUE STREAM. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING MUSIC, WE HAVE A PRETTY GOOD COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM. I THINK WE ALL GO INTO RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES AND SENIOR CENTERS TO BRING MUSIC TO PEOPLE WHO CAN'T GET TO OUR CONCERTS. WE DO PROVIDE A SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR SCOTT JOHNSON MIDDLE SCHOOL WHERE WE REHEARSE. WE, UM. HAVE A VENGEANCE DAY CONCERT TO HONOR OUR VETERANS. WE STARTED A MUSIC FOR LIFE PROGRAM, WHICH IS AN OUTREACH PROGRAM FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHERE WE PERFORM WITH THEM OR DO SIDE BY SIDE REHEARSALS WITH THEM, AND THAT'S ALSO NOT ONLY TO HELP THEM BUT ALSO TO SHOW THEM THAT MUSIC IS A LIFELONG ENDEAVOR. IT DOES NOT END WHEN YOU GET TO A HIGH SCHOOL. WE COLLABORATE WITH OTHER BUSINESSES AND ARTS ORGANIZATIONS WHENEVER I'M A SUCCESSFUL CECIL COLLABORATIONS WAS WITH MUSIC AND ARTS, WHERE THEY PROVIDED THE INSTRUMENTS FOR PENDING ZOO AT OUR CONCERTS.

WE ALSO DIO COLLABORATIONS WITH OTHER ARTS GROUPS LIKE SO AS THE SINGERS. WE'VE WORKED WITH A HERD. CRAIG, WE'VE DONE THINGS WHICH HAS NOT SQUARE SO WE HAVE A LOT OF COLLABORATIONS

[00:45:01]

WITH THEM WERE ALSO HAVING A VIRTUAL CONCERT THIS SATURDAY. SINCE WE CAN'T HAVE OUR REAL CONCERT AND DONATIONS RAISED BETWEEN NOW AND THE END OF JULY HALF OF THOSE WILL GO TO ONE HEART KIDNEY. TO HELP WITH KOVEN, 19 SO WE TRY TO HELP OUT SO THIS YEAR WE'RE ASKING FOR FUNDING FROM M. C D. C FOR $12,000 THAT'S WHERE FOR EVEN THREE EVENTS ARE FOLLY EVENT VETERANSDAY CONCERT AND OUR HOLIDAY EVENT. AND REALLY IN THE PAST, WE HAVE SPENT TIME MAKING SURE THAT THIS IS A PIN YOUR COMMUNITY BAND. WE HAVE BOUGHT EQUIPMENT. WE BOUGHT INSTRUMENTS. WE BOUGHT MUSIC. WE'VE GOT THE RIGHT BALANCE. WE'VE INCREASED IN MUSICALITY.

SO NOW WE'RE THIS GREAT COMMUNITY BAN, BUT WE FEEL LIKE WE'RE ENTERING THIS MATURE PHASE WERE NOW WE JUST HAVE TO GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL ORGANIZATION. AND WE HAVE HAD LIMITED FUNDS TO DO THAT, IN THE PAST, SO THAT IS REALLY WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO DO. THESE ARE NOT NECESSARILY FUNDRAISERS FOR US, BUT THEY'RE MORE OF A CHANCE TO INCREASE OUR OUTREACH, INCREASED COMMUNITY AWARENESS ABOUT US AND OUR PARTNER GROUPS ON DH THEN IN TURN, HELP US WITH OUR COLLABORATIONS IN OUR PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE SCHOOLS WITH OUR BUSINESSES AND ARTS ORGANIZATIONS. AND ALSO HELP CAN BENEFIT MCKINNEY. I THOUGHT IN ONE OF THE EMAILS, THEY HAD SAID IF WE COULD SHOW YOU A COUPLE OF OUR PAST MARKETING INITIATIVES, AND THIS IS KIND OF ALL ON THERE, WE DID A LOT WITH A VERY LIMITED BUDGET.

MOST OF THIS WAS FREE, BUT WE HAD POSTERS. WE HAD EMAIL BLAST WE HAD ON LISTINGS ON CALENDARS. WE HAD FREE DIGITAL. ADS, BUT ONCE AGAIN IT WAS A VERY LIMITED SCOPE. SO. IF WE GET OUR FUNDING FROM M C, D. C. THIS IS WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT WE WOULD LIKE IT TO LOOK LIKE WE WOULD LIKE TO EXPAND ON THE. I GUESS THE GOOD BASE THAT WE HAVE OBVIOUSLY KEEP THE CALENDAR'S KEEP THE EMAIL BASKET POSTERS BUT THEN CONCENTRATE ON FOUR MAJOR AREAS WHICH WE THINK WILL HIT AUDIENCES IN DIFFERENT WAYS LIKE OBVIOUSLY FACEBOOK RIGHT NOW, WE JUST HAVE A VERY LIMITED MCKINNEY SCOPE. WE WOULD LIKE TO EXPAND THAT TEO GO ALL THE WAY DOWN TO ALMOST NORTH DALLAS. SAME THING WITH OUR DIGITAL ADS WITH, FOR EXAMPLE, LIKE COMMUNITY IMPACT DIGITAL ADS. RIGHT NOW. WE JUST KIND OF HAVE THIS SMALL AREA IF WE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY, WE WOULD LIKE TO EXPAND THAT WE HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO RADIO OR MAJOR PRINT ADS, SO WE WOULD LIKE TO TRY TO DO YOU R R AND WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO DO SOME PRINT ADS IN CELEBRATION MAGAZINE. BECAUSE. MOST OF OUR AUDIENCE RIGHT NOW ARE SENIOR CITIZENS, SO WE FIGURED THAT WOULD BE A REALLY GREAT WAY. TIO HIT THAT'S ALRIGHT TERM BUT TO BE ABLE TO TARGET THEM. AND IF WE COULD DO ALL OF THESE WONDERFUL THINGS THAT WAY WE FEEL LIKE WE COULD INCREASE YOUR AVERAGE AND COMMUNITY AWARENESS ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION. AND THAT WAY WE COULD ALSO, MAYBE HELP US WITH DONATIONS. WE COULD CONTINUE OUR PARTNERSHIP SO YOU COULD HELP BENEFIT MCKINNEY. BUT. THAT IS KIND OF WHERE OUR PROGRAM WOULD BE FOR THOSE CONCERTS. AND THEN JUST OVERALL, NOT ONLY LIKE I SAID BEFORE TO BE PROVIDE MUSIC, BUT WE DO FEEL THAT WE TRIED TO BENEFIT MCKINNEY. YOU KNOW DIFFERENT WAYS THAT WE CAN SHOWCASE MCKINNEY WHEN WE HAVE OUR CONCERTS IN MY SD, OBVIOUSLY, WE'RE SHOWCASING THEIR FACILITIES AND THEIR STUDENTS. WE HAVE JOINT CONCERTS WITH THEM. UM, WE DO STILL HAVE CONCERTS AT IMPACT WITH THE DANCE PANTS. THAT'S OBVIOUSLY SHOWCASING OUR DOWNTOWN AREA AND ANY OF OUR AUDIENCES CAN SHOP AND EAT BEFORE CONCERTS AND WE DO. DO YOU HAVE BUSINESS AND CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT WITH THE DIFFERENT GROUPS LIKE MUSIC AND ART AND OUR ART SCRIPPS LOCAL BUSINESSES LIKE PRINT LAB FOR PRINTING, SO WE DO TRY TO HELP OUT THE LOCAL BUSINESS AND CULTURAL COMMUNITY AND WE DO REALLY FEEL THAT WE TRY TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE HERE. NOT ONLY ONCE AGAIN, DOES IT GIVE SOMEONE LIKE ME A CHANCE TO PROVIDE MUSIC TO PEOPLE. BUT WAY ALSO TRIED TO HELP PEOPLE WITH MUSIC. THE ONES UNSEEN IN THE SENIOR CITIZENS. THE MUSIC, THE MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, WE HONOR VETERANS, AND HOPEFULLY WE'LL BE HELPING ONE HART MCKINNY THIS SATURDAY. SO WE WOULD JUST REALLY I THINK WE HAVE SO MANY WONDERFUL THINGS GOING ON WITH OUR ORGANIZATION. WE JUST NEED TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO REALLY GET THE WORD OUT THERE AND EXPAND IT. YOU MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU THINK IN YOUR AUDIENCE, OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I THINK WE HAVE GREAT FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I THINK RIGHT NOW WE HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY AUDIENCE, WHICH IS GREAT. I MEAN, I CAN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT A COUPLE 100 PEOPLE SHOWING UP FOR A CONCERT. BUT WE WOULD REALLY LIKE TO TAP INTO OTHER PEOPLE WHO JUST LIKE MUSIC, AND THAT'S WHERE I THINK YOU ARE REALLY COMES INTO PLAY THOSE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT WOULD REALLY ENJOY OUR REALLY ENJOYED CONCERTS, BUT THEY DON'T REALLY KNOW ABOUT IT YET. SO THAT IS REALLY OUR GOAL FOR THE NEXT YEAR OR TWO TO EXPAND THAT SO.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. AND IF YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO ON SATURDAY AT SEVEN O'CLOCK VIRTUAL CONCERT BY MCKINNEY BAND .COM ALL THE PATRIOTIC MUSIC YOU COULD NEED. THE

[00:50:05]

QUESTION IS, BESIDES VIRTUAL CONCERTS, YOU HAVE ANY THOUGHTS IN PLACE FOR GET BACK TO YOU.

YOUR NORMAL AUDIENCE. BUT WHAT DO YOU MEAN? OKAY YES. SO THIS IS THAT THIS PARTICULAR CONCERTS IN LIEU OF OUR CONCERT THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON JANUARY JUNE 27TH. SO OUR PLAN REALLY IN THE FALL IS TO HAVE OUR CONCERT. WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A CONCERT AT BONNIE WINK.

WE FIGURE THAT WAS KIND OF SAFE BECAUSE NUMBER ONE, WE HAVE SOME ISSUES WITH AN OCTOBER CONCERT NUMBER ONE WE CAN'T GET. WE CAN'T FIT OUR BAND CAN'T FIT ON MY SD. I MEAN ON IMPACT STAGE ANY LONGER. WE PERFORMED THERE FOR YEARS. WE CAN'T FIT. SO WE'VE HAD TO GOTO MST AND REALLY, YOU CAN'T GET ANY LIKE THEY'RE NOT EVEN GOING TO START AND EVEN IN A GOOD YEAR, THEY WON'T START REALLY RELEASING ANY DATES TOE OUTSIDE ENTITIES UNTIL ABOUT MID SEPTEMBER OR SO, WHICH IS KIND OF IMPOSSIBLE TO DO IN OCTOBER CONCERT. AT MY SD, SO WE THOUGHT DOING IT A BODY WINK. WE'VE DONE THINGS THERE BEFORE. IT'S BEEN A LITTLE HOT. SO WE THOUGHT OCTOBER WE CAN KIND OF DO A HALLOWEEN THING. HAVE KIDS SHOW UP IN THEIR COSTUMES? UM PLACE I'M REALLY LIKE SPEAKING MUSIC, BUT THEN. ALSO, WE COULD HAUL SOCIAL DISTANCE AND WE WOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT. SO THAT WAS KIND OF OUR GOAL ON THAT, SO THAT'S KIND OF WHERE WE'RE GOING TO GO WITH THAT IMPACT FOR. HOPEFULLY, IN NOVEMBER, WE HAVE OUR DANCE MAN CONSCIOUS. THEY'RE SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 6TH, AND I THINK YOU KNOW, USING THE DANCE BAND GETS ABOUT 250 PEOPLE, SO I THINK, EVEN IF THEY STILL HAD EVERY OTHER SEAT, I THINK WE'RE GOOD ON THAT ONE. ON DECEMBER. WE'RE HOPING TO DO MST AND ONCE AGAIN WHEN WE DID IT AT MCKINNEY NORTH, I THINK THEY'RE AUDITORIUMS LIKE MAYBE 1500 PEOPLE, SO WE GOT LIKE 500 PEOPLE THERE WITH THE WAY WE HAD THE MCKINNEY NORTH CHOIR THERE ALSO, I THINK, EVEN IF YOU SPACED TWO PEOPLE OUT. SO WE'RE CONTINUING THAT WAY, BUT ONE OF OUR THINGS. BUT THIS MIGHT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION A BIT BETTER, TOO IN THE PAST, WE'VE RECORDED OUR CONCERTS. WE BODY RECORDED THEM, BUT WE'RE GOING TO START TRYING TO. GET A REALLY GOOD VIDEO OF OUR CONCERT SO THAT WE CAN ALSO LIVE STREAM BECAUSE I THINK EVEN. IF THINGS ARE TOTALLY OPEN, YOU'RE STILL GOING RIGHT NOW. HOPEFULLY NOT AFTER ABOUT A YEAR OR TWO OF REALLY GREAT PROMOTION, BUT RIGHT NOW, A LOT OF OUR P R. LOT OF OUR AUDIENCE IS SENIOR CITIZENS SO THEY STILL MAY BE HESITANT, SO WE FIGURE WE CAN STILL REACH THEM. IF WE LIVESTREAM OUR LIVE CONCERTS ALSO, SO THAT'S ONE OF OUR PLANS TO DO THIS YEAR, TOO. ARE YOU ABLE TO PRACTICE? THAT WAY. EXCUSE ME. WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FACTOR BECAUSE WE PRACTICE IT. SCOTT JOHNSON MIDDLE SCHOOL, SO THEY TOLD US THAT. NOTHING IS EVEN OPEN UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST. SO WE'RE HONESTLY HOPING THAT WE CAN GET IN THERE AND I THINK IT'S JUST GOING TO BE A WAIT AND SEE KIND OF THING. I WISH I HAD A BIT OF AN ANSWER FOR YOU. BUT WE'VE BEEN TALKING TO THEM, BUT WE CAN'T GET ANYTHING UNTIL AUGUST. DEFINITELY FLYING BECAUSE A GREAT IDEA. PART OF ME. I DEFINITELY THINK BONNIE WEEK IS A GREAT I THINK WAS A GREAT IDEA. WE LOOK GREAT ON THERE. WE CAN FIT, SO YOU KNOW. WELL, HOPEFULLY, PEOPLE WILL COME IN COSTUME. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS. MARSHALL. I REALLY APPRECIATE REALLY DETAILED FORM. OH I KNOW SO MUCH MORE NOW THAN I DID BEFORE. I JUST APPRECIATE OH, GREAT. THANK YOU. THAT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER. LIKE I SAID, IT'S A HARD ACT TO FOLLOW WITH JAMIE PETTICOAT. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS. ALL RIGHT, THEN.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. DAVID. 2005 TO 7 AND THEY'RE JUST PROMOTIONAL. COMMUNITY, THEN

[20-0527 Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by McKinney ISD Department of Athletics (PC #20-16) in the Amount of $15,000 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2020 NCAA Division II Championship Football Game.]

CREATE A PATIENT'S CASEY 2016 15. THE ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION OF 20 DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP. SORRY. GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE. I'M ANGIE VATO. AND I'M THE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER ON THE ORGANIZATIONAL TEAM FOR DEE TO MCKINNEY, AND IT'S MY PLEASURE AGAIN TO SHARE WITH YOU THAT MCKINNEY I SD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY OF MCKINNEY AND THE LONE STAR ATHLETIC CONFERENCE IS HOSTING THE DIVISION, TIO. NATIONAL NATIONAL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP HERE AT MCKINNEY, I STI STADIUM ON DECEMBER 1920 20. WE HOPE. AND I HAD THIS GREAT VIDEO

[00:55:07]

EMBEDDED IN HERE. SO I'M SURE YOU ALL SAW IT RIGHT ALREADY.

WHAT PLACE YES.

THANK YOU. WE USED THAT AD LAST YEAR ON THE JUMBO SCOREBOARD AT MCKINNEY ICE TEA DURING THE GAMES, AND THAT SOME OF THE OTHER LOCATIONS WHERE THEY WERE PLAYING BASKETBALL OR VOLLEYBALL THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT. OF COURSE, OUR GOAL. IS TIO. LET'S SEE. HOW DO I GET THIS TO GO FORWARD? THANK YOU. OUR GOAL IS TO DRIVE ECONOMIC IMPACT IN THE CITY AND MCKINNEY THROUGH DRIVING TOURISM AND VISITORS TO VISIT OUR GREAT CITY. PLEASE. WE ALSO HAVE SURROUNDING EVENTS, NOT JUST GAME DAY BECAUSE OUR EFFORT IS TO HAVE A PLETHORA OF EVENTS THAT COMMUNITY, NOT JUST VISITORS, BUT THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS CAN ENJOY AS WELL, SUCH AS TACOS TO KILL AND SURVEY SAID YOU CAN SEE THE DATES. OUR FAN FEST EVENT ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18TH SHOPPING AND FOOD TOURS AND DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY THIS YEAR. WE'RE ACTUALLY WORKING WITH THE FOOD TOUR COMPANIES, TIO. HAVE AN ACTUAL FOOD TOUR ORGANIZED FOR VISITORS TO SIGN UP AND PARTICIPATE IN WERE COLLABORATING WITH JAMIE PEDIGO AT CHESTNUT SQUARE THIS YEAR TO DO A OFFER EIGHT TROLLEY TOUR AND SOME HISTORICAL TOURISTS AT CHESTNUT SQUARE. AND WE'RE ALSO CONTEMPLATING PUTTING TOGETHER SOME SORT OF TEA THAT MIGHT ENTICE VISITORS. TIO VISIT CHESTNUT SQUARE AND AS YOU CAN SEE, IN THE PICTURE, WE WILL HAVE SANTA ONCE AGAIN AT OUR GAME. THIS YEAR. THANKS. OUR MARKETING GOALS ARE TO ATTRACT VISITORS TO MCKINNEY INCREASE THE VISITOR OF WHO ARE STAYING OVERNIGHT PROMOTE OUR GREAT HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY HERE. AND THIS YEAR IN PARTICULAR BECAUSE OF COVE IT AND WE'RE NOT CERTAIN ABOUT PEOPLE WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL A LONG DISTANCE, ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE TO FLY. WE ARE GOING TO REALLY FOCUS ON. HITTING POTENTIAL VISITORS WITHIN A 500 MILE DRIVING RADIUS, AND WE WANT TO REALLY TRY TO FOCUS ON MARKETING TO OUR OWN COMMUNITY AS WELL BECAUSE WE FEEL LIKE THE MAJORITY OF OUR ATTENDEES LAST YEAR ARE DEFINITELY FROM OUT OF THE CITY, WHICH IS GREAT, BUT WE ALSO WANT TO BUILD ATTENDANCE FROM WITHIN MCKINNEY AND ARE SURROUNDING AREA SO WE CAN PROMOTE. OBVIOUSLY TAX REVENUE THROUGH THEIR PURCHASES OF FOOD AND BEVERAGE, AND YOU KNOW, WHATEVER ELSE WE HAVE OFFERED. WE WANT TO ALSO INCREASE OUR ATTENDANCE AT THE GAME. AND THIS NEXT SLIDE IS JUST AN EXAMPLE OF SOME OF THE ADVERTISING THAT WE DID LAST YEAR THROUGH VIDEO. THERE'S ANOTHER VIDEO EMBEDDED IN THERE, SO I WON'T MAKE YOU PULL THAT UP, LINDA OKAY? THAT WAS ONE OF OUR LINKS HER ADS THAT WE UTILIZE TO PROMOTE TICKET SALES. OKAY? AND THEN THIS WAS AN EXAMPLE OF SOME OF OUR SOCIAL MEDIA ADS. I WANTED TO BE CLEAR THAT ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA ADS WE ARE DOING TEST ADDS A AND B TO FIGURE OUT WHICH ADS ARE MOST ENGAGING. TO OUR PUBLIC, AND SO WE'RE TRACKING THAT, OBVIOUSLY. AND YOU CAN SEE THERE WE HAVE 10,000 PEOPLE REACHED PLUS ON ONE OF THESE ADS THAT ONE WAS PARTICULARLY AROUND TACOS TO

[01:00:02]

KILL AND SERVE. ACE UP OUR POST ENGAGEMENTS LAST YEAR WE HAD OVER 900,000 PEOPLE ENGAGED WITH OUR ADS THAT WE PLACED ON SOCIAL MEDIA. OVER TWO MILLION IMPRESSIONS. WE YOU USED LAST YEAR. THIS WAS JUST AN EXAMPLE OF OUR SCREEN SHOT FROM OUR WEBSITE, AND NOW IT'S NOT VERY CLEAR ON THERE. BUT THIS IS THE HOME PAGE OF OUR WEBSITE. AND OBVIOUSLY WE'VE UPDATED THAT TO SHOW THAT OUR CHAMPIONSHIP BOYLE BE SCHEDULED ON DECEMBER 19TH HEY. ANOTHER LIST OF SOME SOCIAL MEDIA THAT I WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU ALL THIS IS FROM OUR FACEBOOK FROM OUR TWITTER.

JUST SHARING THAT INFORMATION SO YOU COULDN'T GET A 90 OF WHAT THAT LOOKED LIKE. AND THEN THIS WAS OUR ECONOMIC COMPARISON FROM 2018 TO 2019. OUR ATTENDANCE JUMPED ABOUT 1000 PEOPLE. THIS WAS JUST GAME ATTENDANCE THAT WE WERE ABLE TO MEASURE. OUR HOTEL ROOMS INCREASED BY 365. WE KNOW FOR SURE. THE UNFORTUNATE THING IS, AS I THINK THE CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU CAN ATTEST TO A LOT OF THE HOTELS DON'T DO A VERY GOOD JOB OF TRACKING SPECIFICALLY, SO THIS YEAR. WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO IS ASK THEM TO TRACK ASKED THEM FOR INFORMATION ABOUT JUST OVERALL SALES FROM YEAR. FROM LAST YEAR TO 2020. SO PERHAPS THEY CAN GIVE US AN INDICATOR. AT LEAST THAT WAY. WE KNOW THAT WE LOST ABOUT $30,000 TO DELTA HOTEL AND ALAN JUST BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE THE FACILITY TO HOUSE THE SECOND TEAM HERE IN MCKINNEY.

SO HOPEFULLY WE'LL WE'LL HAVE THAT RESOLVED IN THE COMING FUTURE. AND THEN I JUST WANTED TO SHARE SOME OF WHAT WE HEARD FROM THE COMMUNITY AS FARAS 2019 ECONOMIC IMPACT. MATT HAMILTON, WHO, MOST OF YOU KNOW, OWNER OF LOCAL YOKEL SAID THAT IN 2018 THAT D TWO CHAMPIONSHIP WAS NON EXISTENT FROM HIS PERSPECTIVE 2019 WAS A DIFFERENT STORY. WE HAD AT LEAST 150 GUESTS AT THE RESTAURANT AND MANY VISITORS TO THE BUTCHER SHOP. SO I WANTED TO SHARE THAT TOUGH SAID WE MADE IN JUST TWO HOURS, SLIGHTLY MORE THAN WE NORMALLY MAKE IN ONE ENTIRE NIGHT. SO THAT WAS EXCITING. OF COURSE. MOST OF THAT WAS THE RESULT OF THE FAN FEST THAT WERE AGAIN HOLDING IT TOPS. MINISTER MINNESOTA STATE'S ENTIRE FOOTBALL TEAM WENT TO HUTCHINS BARBECUE, AND I KNOW OUR HOSTS. EACH TEAM HAS A HOST COMMITTEE.

AND WE WORKED VERY HARD TO KEEP THE TEAM'S WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS TO PURCHASE ALL THEIR FOOD AND ALL THEIR NEEDS. ARE 2019. RESULTS FROM ESPN RADIO DALLAS THAT WE BOUGHT. WE WERE UNABLE TO REALLY TRACE THAT OTHER THAN THE NUMBERS THAT I SHARED WITH YOU ON MY FINAL REPORT OF HOW MUCH. THE RESULTS FROM THE TRACEABLE INPUT THAT THE ESPN GUYS SENT OUR SALES PERSON SENT BACK TO ME. THE 2020 FOCUS WOULD I'D RATHER DO UTILIZED A K AND K A. M A D THIS YEAR BECAUSE WE BELIEVE THAT THAT WILL HIT MORE OF THE RADIUS THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO TARGET. WITHIN OUR TARGET MARKET. A ZAY SAID, ESPECIALLY DUE TO CONCERNS ABOUT LONG RANGE TRAVEL AND OUR FACEBOOK ADS AGAIN THIS YEAR. IT MAY BE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE BECAUSE WE ARE IN AN ELECTION YEAR. AND SO AD RATES HAVE INCREASED SOMEWHAT. BUT WE ARE ALSO ABLE WE FEEL TO TARGET OUR REACH MORE DIRECTLY, AND IT'S ESPECIALLY EFFICIENT BECAUSE PEOPLE CAN CLICK DIRECTLY ON THE LINK TO PURCHASE THE TICKETS THAT WAY. THIS WAS JUST A SUMMARY. YOU CAN SEE WE HAD KENNY, I S D AT OUR GAME REPRESENTED. THEY HAD ONE OF THEIR CLASS CLASSES THERE WHO WERE HONORED. SO YOU CONCEDE OUR SUPERINTENDENT RIECHE MCDANIEL THERE. THAT PICTURE WITH THE MAYOR IS THAT FAN FEST? AND THEN THERE'S A PICTURE OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM AND THE FINAL SCORE FROM GAME DAY. AND CAN YOU PLAY THIS VIDEO? THIS VIDEO WAS ACTUALLY AFTER ALL THE BANDS AND THE TEAM. WE DID HAVE ONE OF THE TEAMS SHOW UP LAST YEAR FOR THE FIRST TIME IN I'M TOLD YEARS, ONE OF THE

[01:05:02]

MINNESOTA ACTUALLY CAME TO THE EVENT FOR A LITTLE BIT. THIS WAS AFTER AND PEOPLE ALTHOUGH THE FAN FEST IS FROM 6 TO 8. WE WERE HERE BUT LONGER THAN EIGHT O'CLOCK. SO THIS WAS AFTER THAT PERIOD OF TIME, PEOPLE WERE VERY MUCH ENGAGED. AND THIS IS WHAT WE WERE ASKING FOR 1212.

CAN'T TALK THIS MORNING. $12,500 FOR DIGITAL MARKETING THIS YEAR TO PURSUE SOCIAL MEDIA AND OUR DIGITAL DIGITAL CHANNELS SUCH AS ADVERTISING WITH COMMUNITY IMPACT. AND D TO FOOTBALL .COM. THIS YEAR, OUR RADIO FOCUS WOULD BE 2500 THEN WE'LL USE SOME SHARED DOLLARS FROM MARKETING. HOPEFULLY WE'LL GET SOME MONEY FROM THEM FOR MARKETING THIS YEAR FOR PRINT.

AND OUR WEBSITE MAIDENS, MAINTENANCE AND UPDATE AND ALL THAT WOULD BE A MARKETING BUDGET OF ABOUT $20,000. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY QUESTIONS? AND YOU MENTIONED USING ANY SCHOOL HORNS DURING SEASON WHICH YOU HAVE. IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE ANY OF THE SURROUNDING CITY SCHOOL BOARD? I LOOKED INTO, UH, WE DID. HAVE THAT DISCUSSION IN OUR COMMITTEE MARKETING COMMITTEE MEETING. THE CHALLENGES WERE COMPETING TO SOME DEGREE WITH, LIKE FRISCO, FOR EXAMPLE, BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE D ONE A CHAMPIONSHIP. AND BUT WE ARE PURSUING THAT AS WELL. AGAIN. IT DOESN'T HURT TO ASK NOW THAT THEY HAVE THEIR STADIUM. NO. SHIRT ADVERTISING TO HEAR ABOUT IT. SMALL SEND THAT. MAYBE, YOU KNOW, WE ALSO EAT WITH ELS ARE ANYTHING ELSE THEY'RE OUT. YOUR FIVE MILE RANGE, BUT NOT TOO CLOSE. WE DID UTILIZE. LAST YEAR WE HAD SOME INTERNS WORKING WITH US FROM TEXAS A AND M COMMERCE AND WE UTILIZE THEIR HELP TO WORK WITH THE LONE STAR CONFERENCE TO HELP GET THE WORD OUT AND OUR AD'S OUT THROUGH ALL THE LOAD STAR SCHOOLS. SO THAT DID HELP. SOME. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS. WAIT. WE'RE TALKING ABOUT GETTING MORE KITTY COMMUNITY. OUT TO THE GAMES. HAVE YOU? HAVE YOU REACHED OUT LIKE THE YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUES? YES. OKAY. MY FIRST THOUGHT, WASS. YOU GET THE KIDS OUT COHERENCE HOUSE. WITH GAMES LIKE THIS. IT'S HARD BECAUSE I WAS FOLLOWING WITH THE TEAM. IF YOU DON'T HAVE FALLEN WITH THE TEAM, THEN YOU'RE UNLESS YOU JUST REALLY WANT TO GO TO A FOOTBALL GAME. YOU MAY NOT BE. YOU KNOW THE THING I DRAW YOUR ATTENTION, BUT THAT'S ONE OF THE REASONS WE DECIDED TIO HAVE CNTA COME TO THE GAME. AND SO LAST YEAR'S, WE DIDN'T THINK OF IT, ACTUALLY, UNTIL ABOUT THREE WEEKS BEFORE. AND SO WE UTILIZE THE MARKETING THROUGH MCKINNEY ICE T TOE ADVERTISE THAT TO SOME DEGREE, SO I DIDN'T TALK ON THIS ABOUT A LOT OF THE FREE THINGS THAT WE DO, AND SO WE DO PARTNER WITH MCKINNEY HONESTY AND USE THEIR E MAIL DISTRIBUTION CHAIN. WE ALSO USE THE CITY'S EMAIL. YOU KNOW THEY PROMOTE THEY'RE WILLING TO SEND OUT INFORMATION THAT WE ALREADY COMPOSED THE CONTENT AND WE JUST SHARE IT WITH THEM. WE ALSO ARE ABLE TO UTILIZE THEIR SHARED FACEBOOK, YOU KNOW, AND SHARE THAT INFORMATION VIA THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA POINT CHANNELS AS WELL. SO WE DO A LOT OF THAT. WE WORK WITH. THE SPORTS COMPLEXES IN THE AREA AND TRY TO REACH OUT TO ALL THE ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS.

YOU KNOW, AS I SAID, SO. I THINK THE CHALLENGE WE ALWAYS FACE IS THAT THAT IS ALSO THE DAY OF THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IN ARLINGTON. AND SO YOU KNOW, UNLESS HE'S WILLING TO CHANGE THAT DAY WERE ALWAYS UP AGAINST THAT TO SOME DEGREE, SO THAT'S WHY WE THOUGHT IF WE COULD REALLY FOCUS MORE, MAYBE THIS YEAR ON THAT 500 MILE RADIUS THAT WOULD GO UP INTO SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA AND ARKANSAS. THAT AREA. MAYBE WE WOULD HAVE A LITTLE BIT AND ESPECIALLY COMBINED WITH ALL THE WEEKEND EVENTS, YOU KNOW THAT WE HOPE WILL BE FAMILY FRIENDLY. THAT'S OUR GOAL. SO MAYBE WE'LL KNOW. CURIOUS, TOO. AGAIN. I HAVEN'T BEEN TO A GAME YET, SO I DON'T KNOW THIS, BUT I'M CURIOUS IF YOU GOT YOUR FOOTBALL KIDS OR ANY KIDS, AND YOU DO LIKE IT. YOU KNOW, HALFTIME WITH A RUNNER TO START THE GAME. YOU

[01:10:01]

LIKE. MY TEAM. YES THIS IS HURT, RUN, AND SO YOU HAVE THESE KIDS RUNNING ACROSS THE FIELD. THIS IS REALLY FUN. IT'S ABOUT THEIR WHETHER THEY'RE WEARING THEIR JERSEY OR WHATEVER. I WAS JUST THINKING OF WAYS THAT IF I WAS A PARENT CHILD WORKING TO PARTICIPATE, YES, WE HAVE DISCUSSED ALL THAT THE CHALLENGE BECOMES, WE DON'T HAVE A LOT OF CONTROL OVER WHAT HAPPENS AT HALF TIME. THAT'S A LOT OF CONTROL. SO WE'RE KIND OF AT THE MERCY OF. WHAT WERE ABLE TO FREE AND OUT TO PRESENTING WHAT THEY'LL ACCEPT. SO. I WISH WE HAD MORE CONTROL BECAUSE WE WOULD HAVE DONE THAT ALREADY. BREAKING? YES, ABSOLUTELY. SO WE KNOW WE BECAUSE WE HAD SUGGESTIONS ABOUT INVITING CHOIRS AND INVITING THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL BANDS. OF COURSE, THE OTHER CHALLENGE WE HAVE IS SCHOOL IS OUT. THAT FRIDAY BEFORE IS THE LAST DAY AND SO OUR SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SURROUNDING SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE RELUCTANT TO COMMIT TO BRING THEIR BAND OR CHEERLEADERS ARE, YOU KNOW DRILL TEAM BECAUSE THEY'RE DONE? SO THERE. IT'S JUST A CHALLENGE. MARRY GARDEN. YEAH. WAIT. WE'D LIKE TIO. MAYBE WE'LL PUSH HARDER THIS YEAR TO SEE IF WE CAN GET SOME OF THE YOUNG FOOTBALL TEAMS OR YOU KNOW SOMEBODY ELSE SOMEHOW TO COME AND GET RECOGNITION BECAUSE YOU'RE RIGHT. WE KNOW THAT IF KIDS OR THEIR PARENTS WILL BE IN THE STANDS. FOR SURE. ESPECIALLY KIDS GET DOWN ACROSS THE HIGH SCHOOL. WELL, THEY WANT TO PLAY ON IT. ARE ALSO LOOKING AT POTENTIALLY DOING SOME SORT OF HALFTIME CONTEST. YOU KNOW WHERE YOU KNOW.

TURN. WE'LL GET ANY BECAUSE I KNOW THERE AT THE BUDGET HAS TAKEN A MAJOR HIT BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO EXECUTE MARCH MADNESS AND ALL THEIR MAJOR FUNDRAISING SPORTING EVENTS HAVE GONE BY THE WAYSIDE. SO. IT SEEMS REALLY UNFAIR. I GET THAT, YOU KNOW, AS WERE THE HOST. WE HAVE TO LOOK AT WHAT WE'RE ABLE TO PROMOTE AND HOW MUCH REVENUE WERE ABLE TO DRIVE INTO OUR CITY. SO YEAH. PROBABLY SPEND 5000 THEY DIO. THEY SPENT A LOT OF MONEY AND, YOU KNOW, WE TALKED ABOUT THIS BEFORE BECAUSE WE HAVE ESPN. THIS IS TELEVISED RIGHT. SO ESPN TWO OR THREE WILL BE TELEVISING THE EVENT. THAT BUYS US MORE RECOGNITION THAN WE COULD AFFORD TO PAY FOR AS A CITY. FRANKLY, SO THAT'S A WIN FOR US. I HAD PEOPLE FRIENDS CALLING ME WHO LIVE ON THE EAST COAST. HEY, I'M SEEING THE KITTY ON TV. THIS IS AMAZING. SO THAT'S A BIG PLUS FOR US. ANYTHING ELSE? OKAY. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. APPRECIATE IT. NEVER TO BE TOO LATE TO DISCUSS PROMOTIONAL COMMUNITY EVENT

[20-0528 Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by Ovation Academy of Performing Arts (PC #20-17) in the Amount of $15,000 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of Nine (9) Performances for the 2020-2021 Season.]

GRANT APPLICATIONS AND AGGRAVATION. ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS C 17 THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 FOR THE ADVERTISING. PERFORMANCES. HELLO. GOOD MORNING. I'M ANGIE BURNS, THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF OVATION. ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS. I TRIED TO KEEP MY PRESENTATION SHORT AND SWEET TODAY AND SO BECAUSE I KNEW YOU GUYS HAD A LOT ON YOUR AGENDA, SO I'M JUST GOING TO GO. THROUGH AND FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW WHO WE ARE. WE ARE A COLLEGE AND CAREER BALAN PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY, SO WE HAVE THREE DIFFERENT PROGRAMS. WE HAVE A CONSERVATORY ACADEMY, WHICH IS THE SCHOOL AND WE HAVE A HOME SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE HOME SCHOOLED. BUT WITH THE GRANT TODAY IS FOCUSED ON HIS ARE OVATION COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM. WHICH IS OUR CLASSES CAMPS IN PRODUCTIONS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO ANYONE IN THE COMMUNITY AND NOT JUST OUR STUDENTS WHO GO TO SCHOOL AT AT THE ACADEMY. AND OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A HOME FOR ARTISTS TO PURSUE THEIR PASSIONS THROUGH PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN THE PERFORMING ARTS. WE PROVIDE THE TECHNIQUE LIFE SKILLS EXPERIENCES IN CONNECTIONS NECESSARY TO SUCCEED IN EDUCATION AND IN THE PERFORMING ARTS INDUSTRY. WE STRIVE TO PRODUCE KNOWLEDGEABLE, RESPECTFUL, ORIGINAL PROFESSIONAL. EMPATHETIC AND IMPACTFUL ARTISTS WHO WILL POSITIVELY

[01:15:05]

CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR COMMUNITIES AND OF THE PERFORMING ARTS INDUSTRY. WE REALLY TAKE A HOLISTIC APPROACH AND THROUGH ALL OF OUR REHEARSAL PROCESS AND PERFORMANCE. AND IN MAKING THEM GOOD HUMANS AND NOT JUST GOOD ARTISTS. SO OUR MOTTO IS THAT GOOD HUMANS MAKE GREAT ARTISTS WHICH MAKE US A STRONGER COMMUNITY. AND SO WE REALLY WANT TO PUT KIDS AND ACTORS AND DANCERS AND SINGERS OUT INTO OUR COMMUNITY THAT ARE GOING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND USE THEIR TALENTS AND PASSIONS TO MAKE OUR COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE. AND WE PROVIDE QUALITY PROFESSIONAL LEVEL CLASSES, CAMPS IN PRODUCTIONS AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE IN AN INCLUSIVE AND SUPPORTIVE ATMOSPHERE, AND WE REALLY ARE A SAFE SPACE FOR A LOT OF THESE STUDENTS WHO COME TO US WERE THEIR HOME AWAY FROM HOME. THE PLACE THEY GO WHERE THEY'RE NOT JUDGED ON WHO THEY ARE, BUT THEY'RE ALLOWED TO GET SOME OF THAT ENERGY OUT ON OUR SEASON.

THIS YEAR IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN OUR PREVIOUS YEARS. THIS IS OUR THIRD YEAR ON DH, SO WE'VE DONE IN THE PAST. WE'VE JUST DONE A SOCIO SPLIT IT UP THIS YEAR INTO JUNIOR TEEN AND OVATION ENCORE WE'RE ADDING THIS YEAR. AND SO THE JUNIORS ARE FOR FIVE YEAR OLDS TO 14 YEAR OLDS. THIE ROUTINE IS 13 TO 18. THERE IS A LITTLE OVERLAP THERE BECAUSE SOME OF THOSE 13 14 YEAR OLDS HAVE A DIFFERENCE IN MATURITY LEVEL IN WHAT TYPE OF SHOWS THEY WERE INTERESTED IN DOING, AND SO YOU'LL SEE THAT OUR. JUNIOR ARE MOSTLY DISNEY BASED AND SO FROZEN AND DESCENDANTS IS ON OUR SCHEDULE THIS YEAR. BOTH JUNIOR PRODUCTIONS PROTEIN HAS MORE MATURE CONTENT CARRY, WHICH IS BASED ON THE STEPHEN KING NOVEL AND MOVIE ON DH 13 WHICH IS A COMING OF AGE MUSICAL. YELLOW BOAT IS A TRUE STORY ABOUT A YOUNG BOY WHO CONTRACTED AIDS THROUGH A BLOOD TRANSFUSION IN THE 19 EIGHTIES. AND THEN THE OVATION. ENCORE SEASON IS MORE MATURE ADULT CONTENT THAT WILL BE PERFORMED BY ADULTS OR STUDENTS WHO ARE TEENS WITH PERMISSION FROM THEIR PARENTS AND THE OVATION. ENCORE IS FREE PROGRAMMING, SO THEY DID. JUNIOR PROGRAM IN THE TEEN PROGRAM, THEY PAY A TUITION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PRODUCTION. BUT THE ENCORE IS AUDITION BASED, AND IT IS FREE FOR THE ADULTS TO PARTICIPATE.

BUT THERE WILL BE TICKET SALES AND THINGS LIKE THAT. BUT WE'RE HOPING THAT THAT ADDING THAT ADULT PROGRAMMING AND THAT LATE NIGHT PROGRAMMING, WHICH WILL ALSO INCLUDE OPEN MIC NIGHTS AND IMPROV, STAND UP COMEDY THINGS OF THAT NATURE. WILL EXPAND OUR REACH ON WHO COMES TO SEE OUR PRODUCTIONS AND WHO WE BRING INTO MCKINNEY THAT AIR ABOVE THOSE FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF THE KIDS THAT PARTICIPATE IN THE PRODUCTIONS. AND SO JUST SLIGHT DISCLAIMER. WE DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH COVE IT AND THAT WE DID MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENTS FOR OUR SPRING WE MOVED MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN MITCHELL PARK. WE MOVED IT VIRTUAL DURING THE PRODUCTION ITSELF. WE HAD OVER 100 VIEWS. AS OF NOW, WE HAVE OVER 1000 VIEWS OF THAT PRODUCTION ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE. WE DID IT LIVE ON FACEBOOK. WE DID ONE OF OUR SHOWCASE ON A SUNDAY EVENTS VIRTUALLY THIS YEAR AND WE RAISED OVER $650 THROUGH DONATIONS JUST BY MOVING THAT VIRTUAL, SO WE DO HAVE WAYS I'M LEARNING THE O B S SOFTWARE THAT LETS YOU INCORPORATE DIFFERENT BACKGROUND SCENERY TRANSITIONS INTO BEING ABLE TO DO A MUSICAL VIRTUALLY. AND WE HAVE A COUPLE OF LOCAL FRIENDS AND GENESIS THEATER. THEY DID WIZARD OF OZ RECENTLY IN GUYS AND DOLLS. SO MY GOOD FRIEND WHO'S THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, THERE IS TEACHING ME HOW TO DO THAT. WE ALSO HAVE ALREADY HAD PLANNED TO DO SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK. SO PART OF OUR SEASON WILL BE OUTSIDE AND WE CAN MOVE MORE OUTSIDE WERE STILL IN REHEARSALS FOR INTO THE WOODS FROM OUR SPRING SEASON, AND WE'VE MOVED THOSE REHEARSALS OUTSIDE IN VIRTUAL, SO THAT AS SOON AS A VENUE IS AVAILABLE THAT WE CAN DO THAT, EITHER OUTSIDE OR IN A PERFORMANCE VENUE. WE ALSO IF WE MOVE INTO A DIFFERENT VENUE, YOU MAY NOTICE THAT WE HAVE VACATED THE SPACE IN DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY BECAUSE WE OUTGREW IT. SO THAT WAS ACTUALLY PRE COVE IT. IT WASN'T BECAUSE OF COVERT. A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK THAT WE MOVED BECAUSE OF COVE IT BUT WE HAD PLANNED TO BE THERE THROUGH AUGUST AND THEN MOVE INTO OUR NEW FACILITY IN AUGUST THAT WAS LARGER. AND WE SOLD OUT EVERY SINGLE SHOW THAT WE DID IN THAT FACILITY AND IT IT COULD TAKE 75 AUDIENCE MEMBERS, SO IF WE MOVE TO CHURCH, STREET OR IMPACT FOR SOME OF OUR PRODUCTIONS, WHICH WE ALREADY HAD PLANNED, SOME OF THEM IN THOSE OR IF WE MOVE INTO OUR LARGER SPACE, WHICH HOPEFULLY WE WILL HAVE READY BEFORE WE CAN GET GOING. BUT. HOPE IT'S KIND OF PAUSE THINGS AND THEN THE SPACE WILL SEE AT LEAST 150 IN ALL OF THOSE VENUES. SO EVEN IF WE DO 50% CAPACITY BY OUR FIRST SHOW ISN'T SLATED TILL OCTOBER. THEN SO IF WE DO OUR FIRST SHOW AT 50% CAPACITY, IT'S STILL EQUAL TO WHAT WE WERE DOING PREVIOUSLY IN OUR IN OUR PREVIOUS SPACE, AND SO THEN AS THE RESTRICTIONS GET LIFTED, AND WE CAN HAVE MORE AUDIENCE REMOVED, VIRTUAL OR MOVE OUTDOORS, AND WE'RE STILL REACHING THE SAME IF NOT MORE PEOPLE. AND SO THIS IS WHAT OUR SEASON LOOKS LIKE FOR THE CEO

[01:20:01]

PROGRAM AND STARTING IN OCTOBER WOULD BE OUR FIRST PRODUCTION GOING THROUGH AH, MAY OF NEXT YEAR OF 2020 AND KIND OF WHAT OUR BUDGETS ARE FOR EACH OF THOSE, AND YOU'LL SEE THAT OUR JUNIOR PRODUCTIONS ARE AT CHURCH STREET IS WHAT WE'RE PLANNING TO DO AGAIN. THEY HAVE.

STRUCK ALL RESERVATIONS AT THE MOMENT FROM AND. NOW THROUGH SEPTEMBER. THEY'RE GOING TO RE OPEN WHEN YOU CAN. RESERVE SPACES SINCE SO MANY PEOPLE ARE MOVING THE LOGISTICS OF THINGS THAT WERE ON THIS SEASON TO NEXT SEES IT. EXCUSE ME. PRETTY MUCH SCRATCHING EVERYTHING THAT WAS ON THE BOOKS AND STARTING NEW BUT NOT UNTIL SEPTEMBER, SO WE'RE HOPING THAT WE'RE STILL ABLE TO GET IN THERE FOR THOSE CARRY. WE'RE PLANNING TO DO AT THE IMPACT AND BECAUSE THAT IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE OUR LARGEST PRODUCTION OF THE SEASON AND THEN AT OUR LOCATION WHEN WE GET INTO OUR NEW FACILITIES WHERE THE SMALLER SHOWS WOULD BE AND THAT LATE NIGHT PROGRAMMING WOULD BE. SO WE'RE REQUESTING $15,000 FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON. WE PLAN TO PUT 6000 OF THAT INTO FULL SEASON PROMOTION, SO PROMOTIONS THAT WILL INCLUDE THE ENTIRE SEASON ON BANNERS, POSTERS AND COMMERCIALS, THINGS LIKE THAT. AND THEN EACH SHOW WITH THIS SPECIFIC POSTERS AND SPECIFIC ADVERTISING PER SHOW, AND WE DID A LOT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING THIS YEAR, WHICH SEEMS TO BE WELL. REALLY WELL FOR US. ON OUI. WE PLAN TO CONTINUE WITH THAT SO YOU CAN SEE THE LARGER THE PRODUCTION, THE LARGER THE BUDGET THAT WE HAVE FOR MARKETING FOR THAT AND THE VENUE AS WELL. IF IT'S A LARGER VENUE, MORE MARKETING CAUSE THEY'RE MORE SEATS AVAILABLE, AND ONE OTHER THING WITH THE ADJUSTMENTS FOR COVERT. MUSICALS RIGHT NOW ARE QUESTIONABLE. IT ISN'T SAFE TO SING IN GROUPS, SO IF WE DON'T MOVE OUR MUSICALS VIRTUAL OR OUTDOORS, WE MAY CHANGE THOSE TO A STAGE PLAY THAT IS SAFER FOR OUR ACTORS TO PARTICIPATE IN, BUT WE WILL STILL DO 8 TO 12 PRODUCTIONS THROUGHOUT THE SEASON, AND THIS IS FOR NINE THAT WE HAVE SLATED ON THE SEASON RIGHT NOW. THAT MUSICALS ARE ALSO MORE EXPENSIVE. SO IF WE DO STAGE PLAYS WILL BE ABLE TO DO MORE OF THEM. THESE ARE SOME OF THE POSTERS AND SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING THAT WE DID, AND THIS PAST SEASON AND MATILDA ADAMS FAMILY AND ELSE ALL SOLD OUT IN OUR SPACE. AND UNLIKE A LOT OF THE MUSIC EVENTS THAT IS ONE CONCERT, WE ACTUALLY DO 4 TO 6 PRODUCTIONS OVER A WEEKEND IN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE SOLD OUT, SO IT'S NOT JUST ONE TIME 75 SEATS SOLD OUT. IT'S SIX TIMES OVER A WEEKEND, 75 SEATS SOLD OUT. ON. WE ACTUALLY ADDED SEATS, BUT DON'T TELL THE FIRE MARSHAL.

WE'RE NOT DOING THAT ANYMORE. AND SO WE ALSO HAD OTHER R MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM IS THE ONE WE MOVED VIRTUAL CHAPLAIN WE HAD OUT AT THE FLOUR MILL AND THE MILLER EAST MCKINNEY.

UM AND SO, WE, MM. INTO THE WOODS IS STILL IN PRODUCTION. WE'RE DECIDING IF WE WANT THAT OUTDOORS OR IF WE WANT TO PUSH IT EVEN FURTHER INTO OCTOBER. FOR THAT ONE, AND THAT WE DO AT A LOT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING A LOT OF POSTERS, BANNERS, THINGS OF THAT NATURE AND. I PUT THE WHAT WE DID FOR CHAPLIN ON HERE. THAT WAS OUR LARGEST PRODUCTION WE DID THIS YEAR AND WE HAD A GRANT FROM THE VISITORS BUREAU FOR MARKETING FOR THAT ONE, BECAUSE IT WAS A REGIONAL PREMIERE. AND SO WHAT WE DID FOR CHAPLIN IS WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO FOR OUR SEASON, SO THAT'S $6000. THAT'S OUR SEASON AND A LOT OF THIS MARKETING WORKED REALLY WELL FOR US, AND WE USED COMMUNITY IMPACT KAY LAKE AND KATIE COUNTRY. AND WE ADVERTISED ON BROADWAY WORLD AND IN SOME OF THE CULTURE MAP. SOME OF THE WE WOULD LIKE TO DO DALLAS OBSERVER THIS YEAR, ESPECIALLY FOR OUR ENCORE ADULT PROGRAMMING AND BECAUSE THAT WILL GET A LOT MORE OF THOSE PEOPLE OUT HERE, SO THIS WAS JUST THE BREAKDOWN OF WHAT WE DID FOR THAT PARTICULAR SHOW THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO KIND OF REPLICATE WITH OUR SEASON. THE MONEY FOR THIS SEASON AS A WHOLE. AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE. SO I WILL ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.

OKAY, THAT'S KIND OF A LONG STORY, AND WE WERE IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING TO NORTH MCDONALD AND BEFORE COVE IT HIT AND WE HAD ALL OF THE BUILD OUT. THE CONTRACTORS COME OUT AND LOOK AT THE BUILD OUT AND DO ALL OF THAT. AND SO WE WERE ABOUT TO SIGN THE DOTTED LINE AND THEN OUR BOARD BASICALLY SAID WE CAN'T SIGN WHEN WE DON'T KNOW WHEN WE CAN USE THE FACILITY. SO WE DIDN'T WANT TO START IF WE DIDN'T KNOW IF WE WERE GOING TO BE ABLE TO GET UNTIL DECEMBER, THEN WE'D BE PAYING FOR SPACE WE CAN'T USE WHICH IS ESSENTIALLY WHAT WE WOULD HAVE BEEN DOING OVER HERE, WHICH IS WHY WE WERE ABLE TO GET OUT OF OUR LEASE IN THE END OF APRIL INSTEAD OF DOING THE SHORT TERM LEASE THROUGH AUGUST BECAUSE OUR ACTUAL EAST WAS UP IN APRIL. SO AM I. WE WERE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THAT AND SO IN THE MEANTIME, SEVERAL OTHER PROPERTIES HAVE BECOME AVAILABLE BECAUSE OF COVE IT OR THE PRICE OF THEM HAS DROPPED BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMIC IMPACT BECAUSE OF KOBE. SO WE'RE RIGHT NOW IN NEGOTIATIONS ON TWO DIFFERENT PROPERTIES. ONE IS AT WHITE, RED BUD AND ONE IS THAT HARDENED IN ELDORADO. ONE WOULD BE A BUILD OUT ON ONE'S ALREADY BUILT AND BUTT THERE. ABOUT THE SAME PRICE POINT. SO WE'RE KIND

[01:25:06]

OF SEEING WHICH ONE WOULD BE A BETTER FIT, AND HOWEVER, THAT WOULD BE FOR THE SCHOOL ITSELF.

AND THEN WE'RE LOOKING AT DOING THE THEATER SEPARATE FROM THE SCHOOL, AND SO WE'RE STILL LOOKING AT ONE OF THE SPACES AT NORTH MCDONALD FOR THE SCHOOL WERE ALSO. TALKING WITH TERRY AT THE COTTON MILL ABOUT POSSIBLY PUTTING THE THEATER SPACE OVER THERE. I KNOW TAPS HAD THEIR BIG. GRANT PRESENTATION RECENTLY. AND SO I'M LOOKING THROUGH WHAT THEY'VE AND PROPOSED AND HOW A BLACK BOX OR ANOTHER PERFORMING ARTS FACILITY IN THAT AREA OF THE COTTON MILL MIGHT WORK BETTER. AND SO WE HAVE A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT OPTIONS RIGHT NOW.

IT JUST DEPENDS ON. WHICH ONE GIVES US THE BEST DEAL AT THIS POINT, BECAUSE THINGS CHANGED VERY QUICKLY WITH COVE IT BUT WE'RE HOPING THAT WE'LL BE ABLE TO HAVE THAT SPACE UP AND READY BY OCTOBER NOVEMBER BECAUSE IT IS JUST A BLACKBOX SHELL, SO IT DOESN'T TAKE A WHOLE LOT OF BILLED OUT AND THE TECHNICIANS PERFORMANCE SYSTEMS WHO WILL DO THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS COMMUTE IT DONE IN A WEEK. AS LONG AS WE HAVE THE BUILDING. HIM. ADAPTS. SO I WAS LOOKING AT THE LUBLIN LOST SPRING. AUGUST 18 19. AND IT SHOWS TAKE ITSELF $11,850. YOU HAVE PROJECTED NEVER. WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE THOSE TICKETS. ELVES WILL BE. YES. 0 18 TO 19. WE WERE MUCH SMALLER. THAT WAS OUR FIRST SEASON IN OUR FIRST YEAR. S SO IF WE LOOK AT THIS YEAR, THE PROPHET IN LAWS WE ACTUALLY HAVE DOUBLED OUR NUMBERS FOR THIS YEAR AND WE JUST OUR SCHOOL ALONE RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF EVERYTHING THAT'S HAPPENING WITH THE AMBIGUITY OF GOING BACK TO PUBLIC SCHOOL. OUR ENROLLMENT IS SKYROCKETING BECAUSE WE HAVE VIRTUAL OPTIONS.

WE HAVE HALF DAY OPTIONS. WE HAVE PART TIME OPTIONS WE HAVE ON SITE WE HAVE. WE HAVE MORE OPTIONS AVAILABLE AND WE ALREADY HAVE THEM IN PLACE BECAUSE THAT'S HOW WE'VE OPERATED FOR YEARS. S O R. ENROLLMENT AT THE SCHOOL IS REALLY. REALLY GOOD FOR NEXT YEAR RIGHT NOW, AND SO WE'RE THINKING THAT WILL ALSO TRANSCEND INTO OUR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM AND MOST OF THE KIDS IN ROCOCO GRAHAM AREN'T STUDENTS AT OUR SCHOOL. THEY'RE COMMUNITY MEMBERS. SO WHEN WE DID, ANNIE, WE HAD 36 KIDS IN THE SHOW. ONLY FIVE OF THEM WERE STUDENTS AT OUR ACADEMY. WHEN WE'RE DOING INTO THE WOODS, WE HAVE 21 STUDENTS IN THE SHOW ONLY FOR STUDENTS AT THE ACADEMY. SO THOSE SHOWS HAVE GROWN ON DH. WE EXPECT THAT TO CONTINUE. THAT WE WERE CAPPED WHERE WE WERE. WE COULDN'T INCREASE OUR SALES ACCEPT ANY. WE ACTUALLY ADDED TWO SHOWS ORIGINALLY WAS SUPPOSED BEFORE SHOWS WE HAD WE MOVED IT TO SIX BECAUSE WE HAD SO MANY TICKETS SELLING THAT WE ADDED SHOWS THAT ALSO ADDS RIGHTS AND EXPENSES AND THINGS LIKE THAT, AND BUT WE'RE PLANNING. FOR THE FUTURE.

THAT'S WHY WE INCREASED HOW MANY SHOWS WERE OFFERING AND ALSO SO THAT WE CAN INCREASE THAT SO WE EXPECTED TIO PROBABLY DOUBLE FOR MOTHER WAS THIS YEAR AGAIN. YEAH. IS THERE. IN YOUR HEAD. YOU HAVE LIKE A BREAK EVEN POINT WHERE THAT'S A CHURCH. THEY'RE ONLY GOING TO HAVE WE'RE NOT JUST 30 PEOPLE. HE PREVIOUSLY HEARD. BUT LET'S SAY JUST 75 WHICH IS WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN USED TO. YOU COULD LIVE WITH OR WOULD YOU REALLY WANTED TO BE CLOSER TO 300 ASKED ME BEFORE YOU DETERMINE THAT YOU NEEDED TO DO SOMETHING ELSE, PUSH IT OFF THE VIRTUAL. OUR NUMBER ONE GOAL IS EDUCATING THE KIDS AND HAVING THEM GO THROUGH THE PROCESS OF LEARNING AND GROWING AS R. ARE SO. GOAL. IS TICKET AND SHARING THAT WITH EVERYONE, AND SO WE WOULD PERFORM. REGARDLESS THERE ARE THE PUBLISHING COMPANIES ARE ALLOWING VIRTUAL STREAMING ON A LOT OF PRODUCTIONS NOW, SO A LOT OF THEATER COMPANIES ARE GOING TIO IF YOUR CAST IS SMALL ENOUGH YOU CAN PERFORM AND THEN YOU CAN VIRTUALLY STREAM IT AND PEOPLE CAN BUY TICKETS TO YOUR VIRTUAL STREAM, WHICH ACTUALLY WILL EXPAND. THE WIDTH OF WHAT WE'RE ABLE TO REACH. BECAUSE THEN THOSE THOSE KIDS WHO HAVE FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN MICHIGAN OR OUT OF STATE SOMEWHERE THEY CAN STILL WATCH THAT SHOW AND THAT WOULD BE AN EXTRA TICKET THAT THEY WOULDN'T HAVE SOLD IF IT WERE IN PERSON, SO I DON'T. I THINK WE CAN REACH THE SAME AMOUNT, IF NOT MORE PEOPLE BUY DO IT. VER. BE BY HAVING THOSE LARGE SPACES AS LONG AS WE STILL HAVE THE NUMBER OF SEATS WE HAD PREVIOUSLY I THINK WE'LL BE OKAY. THANK YOU GUYS ONCE AGAIN, GREAT PRESENT. THANK YOU. NEXT ADD HIM TO 00529 CONSIDERED BEST PROMOTIONAL COMMUNITY EVENT GRANT

OF WHERE EVERYBODY. SO ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. HERE IS A VIDEO OF LAST YEAR'S EVENT.

WAIT. I HAVE A QUESTION. HOW MANY PEOPLE WAS THAT CAPACITY IN TOWN? JUST THIS FOREST PEOPLE, UM. YOU KNOW, I'M NOT SURE THE EXACT CAPACITY OF THE TOTAL AREA THAT WE WOULD EXPANDING TO BE EXPANDING, TOO. IT WOULD BE. AT LEAST 2 TO 3 TIMES THE SIZE OF WHAT WE HAD IN PREVIOUS YEARS. IT WAS JUST A ONE DAY EVENT. IT WASS. YES, THIS THIS YEAR, OKAY?

[01:36:43]

YEAH, SO HERE'S HOW HE WOULD SPEND THE GRANT FLYER PRINTING. ART WORK AND DESIGN, RADIO PRINT ADVERTISING. WEBSITE SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCERS SOCIAL MEDIA ADS, DIGITAL ADS AND PR WE LEARNED THE PRINT ADS ARE MOST EFFECTIVE WHEN YOU CONSERVE SECURE COVER, WHICH WE DID LAST YEAR AND THIS YEAR DIGITAL ADVERTISING HAS BECOME VERY EFFECTIVE, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE WE WERE ABLE TO SEND E MAILS TO A SPECIFIC LOCATION. 50,000 PLUS SUBSCRIBERS AND THAT HELPS TO SPRING OUT OUT OF TOWN GUEST TO MCKINNEY. SOCIAL MEDIA REMAINS THE MOST IMPORTANT FORM OF ADVERTISING. THE EVENTS AND THE MONEY SPENT ON PR IS ALSO VERY HELPFUL BECAUSE IT SECURES A VARIETY OF TELEVISION SPOTS ON LOCAL TV PROMOTING THE EVENT AND MCKINNEY. SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCERS HELP NOT ONLY PROMOTE THE EVENT, BUT ALSO THE COMMUNITY AND LOCAL MCKENNEY PARTICIPATE. PARTICIPATING BUSINESSES THAT HAVE PARTNERED WITH THE EVENT. TYPICALLY, WE PAY AN ADDITIONAL 10,000 FOR ADVERTISING. THIS YEAR THAT I MIGHT AMOUNT MIGHT BE LOWER, DEPENDING ON SPONSORSHIPS FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES. EVERYONE HAS BEEN AFFECTED BY COVE IN 19 AND THAT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE WHEN ASKING FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES SPONSORED EVENTS. THE EVENT RECEIVES OVER 10 MILLION IMPRESSIONS AND HAS BEEN BRINGING TOURISM AND HOTEL STAYS TO MCCAIN IN FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS. WE'VE LEARNED BEST PRACTICES TO GET THE WORD OUT, PROMOTE THE EVENT EFFECTIVELY WITH THE AWARDED GRANT FUNDS.

COSTS OF TICKETS WILL VARY WITH WINE PASSES, STARTING AT $20 ARE EVENT EXPENSES ARE EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN 115 AND 120,000. WE'RE REQUESTING 15,000 HELP US AFFORD THE ADVERTISING NECESSARY TO GROW THE EVENT AT ITS NEW LOCATION OF TOWN LIKE PART. OUR GROSS REVENUE IS PLAN TO BE AROUND 150,000. IT'S THE SAME AS 2019 BECAUSE WE'RE EXPECTING TO RECEIVE LESS SPONSORSHIPS AND BENDER FEES BECAUSE OF THE EFFECT OF IT HAD ON OUR EVENT PARTNERS. IF WE CAN. IF WE CAN GET THROUGH THIS YEAR, WE KNOW 2021 WILL SEE A BIG SPIKE FOR THE FESTIVAL.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. THE SPORT FROM M. C. D. C IS NEEDED MORE THAN EVER THIS YEAR, AND WE'RE THANKFUL FOR YOUR PARTNERSHIP. WE PLAN ON MAKING THE MCKINNEY COMMUNITY PROUD WITH THE FANTASTIC MCCAIN YOU WANT A MUSIC FESTIVAL. I'LL TAKE ANY QUESTIONS. THANK YOU. THEY'RE GOING TO BE ONE DAY PASSED ASKED YOU EXPECTED SOMETHING SEPARATELY. YEAH, RIGHT NOW WE'RE WORKING ON A, UM, FROM A PLAN TO RELEASE THE TICKETS WERE. HER HOUSE, RELEASING THE FIRST DAY AND THEN RELEASING THE SECOND DAY. WE'RE NOT SURE HOW WE'RE GOING TO PROMOTE THE BUILDUP TO MAXIMIZE THE YOU KNOW THE ADVERTISING THAT WILL DO FOR IT. BUT YEAH, THAT'S THE PLAN WILL RELEASE A CERTAIN AMOUNT FOR SATURDAY IN A CERTAIN AMOUNT FOR SUNDAY. THAT'S ASSUMING THAT MAYBE THEY'RE STILL SOME RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE. YOU COULD POSSIBLY EVERYTHING. TO OUR WINDOWS OR SOMETHING. SOUNDS TOO CONTROLLED. STILL POSSIBLY FEEL SELF SAME AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT JUST KIND OF RESTRAINT. YES, MAN. YES OH, SO JUST LIKE WE'RE DOING RIGHT NOW, WITH THE SIMPLE STROLL SIRI'S TO BRING, YOU KNOW, ATTRACT VISITORS TO DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY. LIKE WE DID WITH THE CRAFT BEER WALK THIS

[01:40:03]

PAST SATURDAY. WE STAGGER CHECK IN TIMES THAT AMOUNT OF DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. WE WOULD DO THE SAME FORMAT AT TOWN LIKE OUR TOWN LIKE PARK ESPECIALLY GIVES US THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT TO SPREAD OUT OVER A PRETTY BIG FOOTPRINT, SO EVERYBODY IS NOT. CHECKING IN AT THE SAME TIME OR CHECKING IN AT THE SAME LOCATION. YOU GOT A BIG FOOT. STAGES. HAVE YOU STARTED? UM. COMMUNICATION AHEAD OF TIME COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATION WITH THE ATTENDEES ON WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU GET TO THE FESTIVAL, UM AND THEN HAVING JUST DIFFERENT ATTRACTIONS SPREAD OUT OVER A WIDE AREA, SO NOT EVERYBODY'S CONGRESS, SO THERE'S NOT. JUST ONE THING TO DO IN ONE AREA. THERE'S PLENTY OF THINGS TO DO. AROUND TOWN LIKE PARK. WITH THE MULTIPLE STAGES, SO WE'LL HAVE TWO DIFFERENT STAGES. VIPER TENT WINERY SPREAD OUT IN MULTIPLE DIFFERENT AREAS SO THERE SHOULDN'T BE A NEED FOR PEOPLE TO CONGREGATE JUST IN ONE AREA. PEOPLE. YOU KNOW IF WE DO SEE A BIG CROWD CONGREGATING IN ONE AREA, WE COULD MAKE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR PEOPLE TO, YOU KNOW, GO CHECK OUT THIS AREA OVER HERE. PLEASE RESPECT EVERYBODY'S SPACE AND SOCIAL DISTANCING RIGHT NOW DURING COVERT. SIR. YEAH. I MEAN, IF IT'S IF IT'S A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE YOU KNOW THE CITY WHEN WE GO THROUGH THE EVENT PERMIT PROCESS, THEN WE CERTAINLY COULD HAVE THEM AVAILABLE. WE WOULD ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO WRING THEIR OWN MASS IF THEY WANTED TO. AS AN OUTDOOR SPACE. WHERE PEOPLE AREN'T CONGRESS. YOU KNOW, I DON'T NO, THERE WOULD BE A NECESSITY. RUN. FOR THAT, I THINK IS TO A LEVEL OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. I KNOW WE HAVE THIS CONVERSATION'S BUSINESSES IN THEIR ORGANIZATIONS, AND AT SOME POINT, I THINK. EVEN RESPONSIBLE WITH THE PREPARED WHEN YOU GO TO THESE EVENTS. HOPEFULLY DOESN'T MEAN HAVING AVAILABLE IS AN OPTION. WE'RE HEALTHY. PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY IF WE GET TO BUSINESS OCTOBER.

OCTOBER 7TH. YEAH, I'M HOPING IF WE GET TO THAT WE'RE STILL FACING THIS SITUATION. THAT PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN THIS THIS IDEA SITUATION SERIOUSLY. WHAT. I'M I'M JUST DIDN'T MAKE THE VIDEO OR PICTURES, BUT THAT'S NEITHER HERE NOR THERE. THERE'S THIS YEAR TO MAKE SURE MAKE THAT BUT NO. I PARTICULARLY LIKE THESE EVENTS AND I WEIGH SPENT A LOT OF TIME WHEN WE GET PRESENTATIONS ABOUT THIS WAY. TALK ABOUT DONATION TO CHARITY AND THOSE THINGS AND I APPRECIATE IT. HEARING THAT YOU WANT TO INCREASE THE NATIONS AT THE SAME TIME. WHAT I APPRECIATE ABOUT THESE EVENTS IS YOU'RE HERE AND WAY SUPPORT A LOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS AS PART OF THE CDC, BUT THE GOOD THING ABOUT THESE IS YOU'RE BRINGING PEOPLE TO MAKIN THAT OTHERWISE MAY NOT HAVE COME. SOME OTHER EVENT, AND SO I LIKED THE MAP TO SHOW. PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER COMING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY COMING, BUT ESPECIALLY IN THIS AREA COMING UP TO KENNY BEING A TWO DAY EVENT AND HAVING WINE. I COULD ONLY IMAGINE THAT WOULD LEAD TO A HOTEL STAY. AT LEAST WE HOPE SO ON AND SO I KIND OF THIS IS IT. HOPEFULLY, THIS WHOLE SITUATION WE'RE FACING. COULD BE BEHIND US. BY THEN. WE'LL HAVE A GREAT DAY FOR THE SAME TIME. I'M VERY SUPPORTIVE OF THINGS LIKE THIS BECAUSE WHAT BRINGS MCKINNEY THE SALES TAX DOLLARS, ESPECIALLY WITH TODAY? HOTEL, STAY EATING IN A RESTAURANT IN THOSE THINGS SO.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR THAT. SO THEREFORE, I EXPECT YOU NOTICED THAT. YEAH, BUT I MEAN YOU AND THAT, YOU KNOW, IT IS THE GOAL, YOU KNOW TO WORK WITH AS MANY LOCAL BUSINESSES AND PARTNERS AS POSSIBLE TO BRING LOTS OF PEOPLE TO MCKINNEY. ALREADY THREE GROUPS OF FOUR.

THAT MIGHT BE CONSIDERED IN SOMEONE YOU WORK WITH. TRY TOE. USE LOCAL GROUPS, TOO. MAPS YOUR STAGES ARE ABSOLUTELY. AND I'M ASSUMING POSSIBLY DISPOSABLE BUSES THIS YEAR.

YEAH, SO JUST LIKE, YOU KNOW, POURING THE SAMPLES AT THE THESIS MINSTREL SIRI'S THAT WERE DOING THEIR FORD INTO DISPOSABLE CUPS. THE TENANT GETS A SIGNATURE CUP OR GLASS.

THEY WOULD. MOST LIKELY STILL, WE HAVEN'T PURCHASING AND WE'RE STILL SOURCING. EVERYTHING IS

[01:45:07]

RIGHT NOW. COST OF INCREASED QUITE A BIT ON SOME OF THE STUFF THAT WE NORMALLY BUY FOR OUR EVENTS. WITH THE SUPPLY CHANGE BEING DISRUPTED, BUT. YES, SO THEY WOULD GET A SIGNATURE CUP OR GLASS, WHATEVER THAT WOULD LOOK LIKE, BUT THEN SAMPLES WOULD BE POURED INTO DISPOSABLE CUPS, SO THERE'S NO POURING INTO ANYBODY'S GLASS THAT THEY'VE ALREADY FRANK OUT. YEAH. AND OF COURSE, YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW WE'LL HAVE SANITIZING STATIONS.

DIFFERENT AREAS FOR. YOU KNOW EVERYTHING THAT GOES ALONG WITH THES COVERED RESTRICTIONS TO MAKE SURE EVERYBODY'S FOLLOWS FOLLOWING BEST PRACTICES IN TERMS OF, YOU KNOW, SANITIZING THEIR HANDS. SOCIAL DISTANCING THINGS LIKE THAT. NO. JUST JUST THANKS FOR ALL THE FLEXIBILITY YOU NEED THAT HAS TO GO ON THE PLANET. THESE SORTS OF THINGS. IT'S. IS THE STANDPOINT FOR YOU AND YOUR TEAM THAT HAS TO BE DIVERTED BY DOING SUCH A DIFFICULT THING TO SUSTAINABLE.

THANK YOU FOR FIRST. IT'S GREAT TO SEE PEOPLE COME BACK. THANK YOU. YEAH WE ARE EXCITED TO GET BACK TO WORK RIGHT NOW. THE SUMMER SIPAN STROLL. SIRI'S HAS BEEN THE FIRST. FIRST EVENTS THAT WE'VE WE'VE COME BACK, YOU KNOW, DOING ON AND THE 1ST 1 WAS WAS HUGELY SUCCESSFUL. UM, THE NEXT 1 JULY 11TH WEEK. WE FEEL LIKE IT. I MEAN, IT'S ALMOST SOLD OUT RIGHT NOW. SO.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS. WELL, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND YOUR CONSIDERATION. 2003 YEAR

[01:50:04]

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND INVOLVEMENT TO SHOW THE LADIES THEY WERE EIGHTH GRADERS IN SEVENTH GRADE, SO I WANT THANK YOU FOR WHAT THE OFFERING THIS BECAUSE IT ALLOWS THEM AN OPPORTUNITY. TO ENGAGE IN THE COMMUNITY. AND IT'S ALWAYS ONE OF MY BOARD. MY OLDEST WAS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL. WE DID GREAT. WE HAD A WHOLE THING TIME MADE A FLOAT. BUT I JUST REALLY APPRECIATE WHAT DOES OFF THE COMMUNITY. OFFERS THAT THE SCHOOLS AND THE YOUNG WOMAN'S OPPORTUNITIES TO BE INVOLVED, SO I REALLY, REALLY THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THANK YOU.

[20-0531 Consider/Discuss Promotional and Community Event Grant Application Submitted by Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney Foundation (PC #20-20) in the Amount of $10,000 for the Advertising, Marketing and Promotion of the 2020 Crape Myrtle Run and Festival.]

OUT OF 20 DESK. YOU GOT 31 CONSIDERED A PROMOTIONAL COMMUNITY EVENT PATIENTS IN THE BACK TRAILS FOUNDATION 20,000 WITH ADVERTISING MARKETING INFORMATION. I'M JUST HERE, TIO PRAISE AND THANK YOU, ANGIE. SET A WORD. THAT'S WHEN MY VERY FAVOURITE JUST THE SECOND PART OF YOUR NAME, AND THAT'S COMMUNITY. YOU COULD BE A CITY.

WHAT YOU'RE TYPICALLY LARGE. YOU COULD BE A COMMUNITY WHICH IS TYPICALLY SMALL. WE ARE COMMUNITY IMPORTANTLY, THANKS TO YOUR HEART. THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE. WE HAVE A HEART AND A SOUL. LARGELY THANKS TO YOU, AND THANKS TO YOU, WE GET TO BE A PEACE IN THAT PUZZLE. AND THAT NOT ONLY INCLUDES A RUNNING FESTIVAL, WHICH IS WHICH IS EMBEDDED AS A PART OF OUR CULTURE NOW, BUT ALSO THE AFTERMATH. YOU KNOW, PAUL GRIMES HAS BEEN GIVING. CREPE MYRTLE PLANTS TO FIFTH GRADERS EVERY FRIDAY BEFORE MOTHER'S DAY SINCE HE TOOK OVER HIS POSITION. 2100 OF THOSE KIDS THAT FRIDAY BEFORE MOST TO GET A ONE GALLON CRAPE MYRTLE PLAN.

TO TAKE HOME TO MOMMY AND ABOUT 1/3 OF THOSE DON'T HAVE A DADDY AT HOME, TAKING MOTHER STATE SHOPPING. THAT'S BECAUSE YOU YOUR HEART AND ALLOWING US TO BE A PIECE IN THE PUZZLE OF THIS BEING A GREAT COMMUNITY. NOW I'M GONNA PRESENT TO GO THROUGH THE REST OF OUR AGENDA.

WHO'S KNOWN. JUSTIFIABLY AS THE HEART AND BRAINS OF OUR ORGANIZATION, THIS SUSAN, SHELL EARTH, OUR VICE PRESIDENT WILL STAY UP HERE. AND, UM, THANK YOU FEEL FOR THAT. I ALSO WANTED TO INTRODUCE ANOTHER CO RUN CHAIRMAN THAT WE HAVE IS MARKED BITES. MARK. YOU WANT TO COME ON UP HERE, TOO? CASE, WE HAVE ANY QUESTION HE IS AN AVID RUNNER, SO HE AND I ARE BOTH CO CHAIRS AND. IT FITS. AS PHIL SAID, I AM ON THE BOARD OF THE GREAT MORAL CHARLES AND MCKINNEY. I'VE BEEN THERE FOR ABOUT SIX YEARS. NOW. I BELIEVE, AND I'M ALSO A ON OFFICER OF THE BOARD. AND I LOVE THIS RUN. IT'S ONE OF THE PROJECTS THAT THE CRIMINAL TRIAL DOES, AND I JUST LOVE IT. THE BEFORE I GET OFF THIS SLIDE, THOUGH. I LOVE THIS SLIDE. IT'S FROM ONE OF OUR PAST RUNS. IT WASN'T LAST YEAR. I BELIEVE IT WAS FROM 2018 INTO ME WHEN I SAW THIS ONE, BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHEN YOU GET A PHOTOGRAPHER THAT WE HAVE, WE DON'T HAVE THE BUDGET TO FUND A PHOTOGRAPHER. WE HAVE TO USE THE SHE'S A VOLUNTEER ON OUR BOARD ALSO, AND SHE SHOWS UP. IT JUST TAKES A BUNCH OF MASS OF PHOTOS FOR US, AND WHEN I WAS GOING THROUGH THIS ONE, THIS ONE ALWAYS CATCHES MY EYE BECAUSE IT'S JUST SO PRETTY. IT'S JUST SUCH A PRETTY PICTURE. THERE'S LITTLE KIDS FACES. AND TO ME THIS. THIS REPRESENTS OUR RUN.

ABSOLUTELY AND IT'S JUST INDISPUTABLE PROOF. THAT THIS EVENT IS. LIKE FIELD, SAYS THE HEART AND SOUL OF MCKINNEY, AND IT ENHANCES. THE LIVES OF ALL PARTICIPANTS THAT SHOW UP THE CITIZENS AND EVERYTHING THEY REALLY ENJOY. THIS ALSO. BUT. YOU DO? SO WHAT NOW IN FRONT OF ME? WITH A SCREEN IN FRONT OF ME. THE POINT OF THIS TRAINING FRIENDLY, OKAY? THIS SLIDE DETAILS OUR BUDGET THAT WERE ASKING FOR GRANT IN ITS 10,000 AND IT'S BROKEN OUT HERE, SO I REALLY WANT WON'T GO INTO IT TOO MUCH, BUT. THIS IS LIMITED TO PRE EVENT PROMOTION AND NOT ALL OF IT IS IN HERE. WE ALSO HAVE SOME OTHER THINGS LIKE THE YARD SIGNS AND THE T SHIRTS,

[01:55:02]

WHICH ARE NOT INCLUDED HERE. THIS IS JUST FOR THIS PORTION OF THE 10,000 MARKETING. THAT INCLUDES THE ADVERTISING THAT WE DO THE RADIO ADS AND THE PRINT ADS. AND PRINTING FOR OUR POSTERS AND ARE. POSTCARDS THAT WE PLACE ON CARS AND VEHICLES AT OTHER EVENTS AROUND THE AREA. AND THIS SLIDE IS OUR OVERALL RUN A RUN EVENT AND YOU CAN SEE THE HIGHLIGHTED AREA IS THAT 10 10 $10,000 PORTION THAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT? AND THE TOTAL FOR THAT. ENTIRE. EXPENSE IS 35,000 THAT WE PROJECT TO SPEND ON THAT EVENT. AND THE PORTION THAT THIS 10,000 REPRESENTS IS 54% OF OUR TOTAL BUDGET OF 15,355. 0.60. AND THIS SLIDE. I LOVE THIS LIGHT, TOO, BECAUSE THIS ONE REALLY GIVES YOU A GOOD OVERVIEW OF. HOW WE DID LAST YEAR IN 2008.

WE HAVE OUR 2019 FIGURES ON THERE AND THEN WHAT OUR GOAL IS, AND WE ALWAYS HAVE MEASURABLE GOALS. SO WE'RE TRYING TO HIT THESE GIRLS AND EXCEED THEM AND WE EXCEEDED THEM LAST YEAR.

LAST YEAR WAS A GREAT EVENT FOR THIS RUN, AND YOU CAN TELL THAT BY THESE NUMBERS HERE.

AND THIS IS ANOTHER. IMAGE THAT REALLY KIND OF BLEW EVERYBODY AWAY WHEN WE WERE SEEING THIS HAPPENING IN REAL TIME LAST YEAR. BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK AT THE. I GUESS IT USED TO BE CALLED A HOCKEY STICK A WHILE BACK, BUT LOOK AT HOW IT REALLY JUST ZOOMS UP. AND IT REALLY STARTED ON AUGUST 25TH. THAT'S REALLY TYPICAL OF OUR RUNS BECAUSE THE SCHOOL'S ASK US NOT TO START MESSING OR, YOU KNOW, PROMOTING THIS AT THEIR SCHOOLS, AND THEY JUST WANT THE KIDS TO KIND OF CALM DOWN, GET TO SCHOOL AND CALM DOWN BEFORE WE START. PROMOTING THIS AT THE EVENTS, ALL RIGHT, THEIR SCHOOLS AND SO YOU'LL SEE IT JUST SLOWLY START TO. START TO RISE, AND THEN THE COMPETITION REALLY HEATS UP BETWEEN THE SCHOOLS BECAUSE EVERYBODY REALLY WANTS TO BE THAT FIRST PLACE WINNER WHERE THEY GET TO WATCH THEIR THEIR PRINCIPAL OR THEIR CO. KISS. EH? AND IT'S QUITE FUN. MEAN, PHIL OVERSEAS THAT IT'S JUST IT'S HYSTERICAL AND THE KIDS REALLY GET INTO IT. AND THEN THEY ALSO GET WHOEVER HAS THE TOP. AWARD. ALSO ALL THE SCHOOLS GET GRANTS ACTUALLY BASED ON THE REGISTRATION. BUT IT'S JUST THAT WAS A VERY COOL THING TO ACTUALLY WATCH THAT. AND WHAT THAT. PORTION REPRESENTS IS SO WE MET ALL OVER GIRLS LAST YEAR AS FARAS REGISTRATION NUMBERS BUT THEN WAY STARTED EXCEEDING IT, AND THAT WAS JUST REALLY GREAT TO WITNESS IN AND SEE.

AND THIS IS ATTENDANCE NUMBERS FROM 2019 AND WE'VE GOT A BROKEN DOWN BY COUNTY AND EXCLUDING MCKINNEY, PEOPLE AND OUTSIDE OF COLLIN COUNTY. AND THEN WE'VE ALSO GOT A BROKEN DOWN SO YOU CAN SEE BECAUSE WE ALSO HAVE A COMPONENT OF OUR EVENT. THAT IS A FREE FESTIVAL SO ANYONE CAN COME TO THAT. IF YOU'RE A RUNNER. YOU DO HAVE TO PAY FOR REGISTRATION FEE, BUT.

FOR FESTIVAL. IT'S OPEN TO ANYBODY, AND SO WE TRY TO COUNT THOSE NUMBERS AND THAT'S WHAT WE ESTIMATE. THOSE RUNNERS TO BE LAST YEAR. AND I LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY'S FACE, TOO. I JUST LOVE THIS WHEN I PUT THIS SLIDE IN THERE BECAUSE. PART OF THE CDC IS WHAT YOU HAD ASKED FOR IS IF THERE IS A CHARITY PORTION OF. OF THE EVENT TO EXPLAIN THAT ONE AND EVEN THOUGH WE ARE A NON PROFIT, WE DO HAVE A CHARITY PORTION OF OUR EVENT. IT'S CALLED THE CRAPE MYRTLE. TRAIL'S SCHOOL RUN GRANT PROGRAM, AND I'LL EXPLAIN THIS THING BECAUSE IT'S WE ALWAYS. WE ALWAYS INCLUDED IN OUR POSTERS AND IN OUR PROMOTIONS, BUT IT'S KIND OF HARD TO EXPLAIN. BUT IT'S WHERE IF YOU GO TO R RUN SIDE AND YOU REGISTER $5 FROM ANYBODY THAT REGISTERS. WILL BE ADDED TO THAT SCHOOL. NOW THERE'S A LIST THERE. YOU COULD ADD THE SCHOOL. AND IF YOU DON'T SEE THE SCHOOL, YES, YOU CAN WRITE THAT IN AND. LAST YEAR. WE DIDN'T REQUIRE PEOPLE TO MARK A SCHOOL AND WE THINK WE MIGHT DO THAT THIS YEAR TO GET IT. TO

[02:00:05]

HAVE PEOPLE PUT SOME SCHOOL IN THERE. AND I'M ALWAYS, UM. I'VE ASKED YOU BEFORE. I SAID, WELL, WONDER IF SOMEBODY PUT IT, YOU KNOW, BUT SHE HAS SCHOOL FROM NEW YORK CITY ARE GOING TO GIVE THEM A $5 GRANT. HE SAID. YES, ABSOLUTELY. WE ARE SO WE JUST STICK BY THAT, SO IT'S YOU KNOW, IT'S QUITE FUNNY TO SEE THOSE SCHOOLS KIND OF RUN IN AND THE COMPETITION BETWEEN THE SCHOOLS IS FIERCE, AND IT'S REALLY HEATED UP. AND THIS ONE I PUT THIS SLIDE IN AND WE'RE GOING TO THE RAW FOOTAGE OF THE OF THE PHOTOS. IT'S ONE LITTLE GIRL KEPT SHOWING UP, BUT I KEPT THINKING, WHAT WAS THAT? WHO IS THIS LITTLE GIRL AND THIS ONE WHERE SHE'S DOWN ON THE. THAT'S PAVEMENT THERE. I THOUGHT SHE WAS HURT. I'M THINKING WHAT? WE TOOK A PICTURE OF SOMEBODY HEARD WHAT'S GOING ON HERE. AND I GUESS YOU DO SOME SORT OF. OH I DON'T KNOW, WORM DANCE OR SOMETHING, BUT SHE'S JUST SO CUTE, AND THERE'S EVEN MORE PICTURES OF HER IF THIS IS JUST A FEW OF THEM, BUT SHE WAS SO EXCITED. AND WHAT SHE IS EXCITED ABOUT IS BECAUSE THEY FEEL CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG HERE, BUT FOR EVERY PAST YEAR THIS IS OUR THIS WILL BE OUR 15TH YEAR EVERY PAST RUN THAT WE'VE HAD. MCCLURE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE TOP GRANT WINNER FOR THE SCHOOL. THEY'VE ALWAYS BROUGHT. IT BROUGHT IT IN IN THE 1ST 1 AND LAST YEAR. WALKER ELEMENTARY WAS THERE WITH THREE RUNNERS. THIS YEAR, THEY WERE NUMBER ONE, AND THAT'S WHY THE SCHOOL IS SO EXCITED. SO THEY CAME IN FIRST PLACE WITH 247.

RUNNERS AND EARNED A GRANT OF 1235 AND THAT GRANT GOES TO THE P E DEPARTMENT BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE GREAT MORAL TRAILS IS TRYING TO DO. WE'RE TRYING TO PROMOTE THE HEALTH OF OUR STUDENTS. WELL, THAT'S A LIFELONG HABIT THAT THEY'LL HAVE OTHER LIFE. BY THE WAY, THE PRINCIPLE OF MCCLURE ALL THOSE YEARS THEY WON WAS MELANIE ROLLIE. GUESS WHERE SHE MOVED TO FOR 2019. WALKER. AND THE COACH AT MCCLURE IS JUST ADAMANT ABOUT WINNING AND WALKER ONE BY THREE RUNNERS OR SOMETHING. YEAH, THAT Z THREE RUNNERS. I WANT TO ADD. THAT SPEAKING OF STUDENTS, ANGIE'S STUDENTS WERE THERE AND PERFORMED AND JUST BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN JUST WITH THE ROCKING AND ROLLING OUT IN WHAT WE CALL MYRTLE VILLAGE. IT WAS COOL. AND THAT'S ONE OF THE ORGANIZATIONS WITH TEAM WITH THE OTHER IS THE MAIN STREET.

AND WE PROMOTE THAT. THE THAT THAT WEEKEND. OF WHAT'S THAT WE CAN? YEAH. OCTOBERFEST AND FOR EVERY RUNNER. THAT THEY TAKE THEIR BIB UPTO OCTOBERFEST. THEY GET TICKETS FOR BEVERAGES AND FOOD. SO RUN! GET THIRSTY, GO DOWN TTO DOWNTOWN MCKINNEY AND GETS A FREE BEVERAGE. WE TEAM UP WITH THE REST COMMUNITY ONE OTHER THING, ALL THAT SORRY. SUSAN, IS WE WERE ADAMANT ABOUT THE ZIP CODE BEING A PART OF THE REGISTRATION PROCESS SO WE COULD ACCURATELY REPORT HOW MANY PEOPLE FROM OUTSIDE OF MCKINNEY COME. AND IT WASN'T A REQUIREMENT. AND SO ABOUT HALF THE PEOPLE DIDN'T PUT A ZIP CODE, SO WE ONLY. PUT DOWN THE PEOPLE THAT WE KNEW WERE OUTSIDE OF MCKINNEY PUT THE ZIP CODE. THERE, BUT WE KNOW THAT WAS MORE THAN THAT, SO WE'RE GOING TO BE EVEN MORE ADAMANT AS WE'RE NOT PAYING IN LESS SOME HOUR. ANOTHER SUSAN MARK, TEAM UP TO MAKE IT SUCH THAT THEY PUT THEIR ZIP CODE. SO WE GIVE YOU AN ACCURATE COUNT. WE KNOW WE MAY A ABOUT PEOPLE COMING HERE AND NOT ONLY PARTICIPATING WITH COMING OCTOBER FEST IN SPENDING TIME HERE, MAYBE HOTEL TIME. BUT SEEING THIS IS A COMMUNITY.

THEY WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH, MAYBE EVEN LIVE WITH BECAUSE WE'RE SPECIAL. WE'RE BIG AND WE'RE STILL A COMMUNITY. AND THIS SLIDE. I WANTED TO INCLUDE THIS ONE BECAUSE THIS IS WHERE YOU HAD TO IMAGINE THAT PHIL WEEKS THERE ON THE STAGE AND THERE HE'S GOT THE BIG BUILDUP GET RIGHT, ANNOUNCED WHO THE WINNER IS. AND THESE TWO SCHOOLS, MCCLURE AND. WALKER.

THEY KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO BE CLOSE, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHO THE WINNER IS YET SO THEY'RE ALL PILED UP HERE WAITING TO HEAR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. AND IF YOU JUST PUT LIKE A LINE RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THAT SLIDE, YOU CAN SEE THAT OKAY, SO. WALKER'S OVER HERE. I MEAN, WALKER'S OVER HERE ON THIS SIDE, YOU KNOW, WITH THE LITTLE GIRL'S GOT A SHOVEL IN HER HAND, SHE'S CELEBRATING AND THEN ON THE OTHER SIDE IS MCCLURE, WHO JUST HEARD THAT THEY LOST AND, YOU KNOW, IT'S JUST SO FUNNY BECAUSE YOU SEE THAT HAPPIEST OVER HERE AND THEN YOU SEE THE OTHER SIDE OVER HERE. THIS IS SOMETHING THESE KIDS KIND OF LEARN TO HOW TO DEAL WITH DISAPPOINTMENT, AND YOU LOOK AT THOSE KIDS AND THIS LITTLE GIRL THAT YOU KNOW SHE'S KIND OF A CLUE OR A SHIRT ON AND SHE'S JUST NOT SAYING ANYTHING. AND THE OTHER GIRL HAS ER HAS HER HANDS IN HER FINGERS IN HER EAR BECAUSE SHE'S CAN'T YOU KNOW SHE DOESN'T WANT TO HEAR ALL THE EXCITEMENT FROM WALKER OVER THERE. AND THEN YOU HAVE A LITTLE RIGHT LITTLE READY. BOY. WHO WE? A HE'S MUST BE HAVE BEEN A WINNER. AND RENDERED.

HE'S NOT EVEN PAYING ATTENTION. LOOKS LIKE HE'S THINKING. HEY IS THAT A RAPID OVER THERE OR

[02:05:01]

SOMETHING? YOU KNOW HE'S LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ELSE. IT'S JUST IT'S JUST VERY, VERY CUTE. I JUST I JUST LOVE THAT. THIS IMAGE BECAUSE YOU COULD SEE THE WHOLE REACTION OF THE OF THE GROUP. AND THIS IS JUST MORE OF IMAGES OF WHAT WE WHAT WE THINK IS WORKING ON WHAT WE KNOW IS WORKING REALLY AT THES RUNS WE HAVE. AH AH LOT OF PEOPLE SHOW UP WITH THE PARENTS. THEIR I MEAN, THE PARENTS WERE THERE WITH THEIR KIDS. A LOT OF THEM HAVE STROLLERS. A LOT OF THEM ARE RUNNING WITH THEIR KIDS. AND LIKE THIS ONE GIRL, SHE'S YOU KNOW HIS FIRST, RIGHT? SHE'S GOT THAT ON THIS TRAVELER. IT'S JUST IT'S JUST VERY, VERY CUTE.

AND I LOVE THIS ONE. THE MIDDLE IF Y'ALL COULD SEE DOWN BELOW THERE, THEY'VE GOT THE TWO BOYS IN THE IN THE. TIFFIN CARRIER ONE'S CRYING AND ONCE LAUGHING, WHICH I THINK IS JUST SO TYPICAL OF KIDS, BUT IT'S VERY CUTE. THESE AIR. IS THERE MORE IMAGES? THERE'S A THERE'S AN IMAGE DOWN THERE. AT THE BOTTOM, WHERE YOU SAY. ALONE GIRL HOME. ON. A PIG. SHE ACTUALLY ONE COSTUME. I THINK IT WAS A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO FOR BEST DRESSED PIG COSTUME. SHE CAME AS A PIG AND SHE WAS REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT THE ABOUT THE PIG COSTUME. THESE ARE SOME OF THE CITIES WILL REPRESENT THE CITIES HERE AND STATES THAT THE PARTICIPANTS HAVE COME FROM. IN OUR LIST OF HOW WE PLAN TO IMPROVE. WE HAVE HIM SUMMARIZED HERE. I REALLY WON'T GO THROUGH READ READ THEM ALL. THESE AIR MARKETING EXAMPLES. THIS IS FROM THE ALLEN NEWSPAPER. I BELIEVE TO PROMOTE THE RUN. AND MORE OF OUR MARKETING SAMPLE'S. THIS IS THE PEAK. ONE IS THE POSTCARDS THAT WE HAVE, AND THEN WE ALSO PLACE THESE ON VEHICLE. MARK AND RENEE HANES GO OUT TO THE DIFFERENT RUN. AND IF EVENTS AND PLACES ON THE CAR VEHICLES. THEY DO THAT A LOT BEFORE THE EVENTS AND THE OTHER ONE. IS THE POSTER AND THAT IS THE POSTER. WE GIVE TWO POSTERS TO EACH SCHOOL WITHIN MY SD, THEN WE ALSO DO ALL OF THE NON IN MY STC. WOULD GO TO THE. AND THEN WE GO OUT. MCKAY TO THE SURROUNDING SCHOOLS, AND THEN WE GO OUTSIDE CALLING COUNTY SO WE REALLY EXPAND THOSE THE BOUNDARIES OF THAT OF OUR REACH THAT WAY. AND THESE ARE EXAMPLES OF OUR YARD SIGNS AND OUR T SHIRTS, WHICH WE DON'T INCLUDE IN THAT $10,000 THAT WERE REQUESTING BUT IT IS PART OF OUR MARKETING BUDGET. AND THESE AIR MARKET EXAMPLES THAT WE DID LAST YEAR AND. IT'S DALLAS. MORNING NEWS. WE DID THE OBLATION. I BELIEVE THEIR PUBLICATION IS CALLED THINGS TO DO OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT ON THE WEEKENDS. SO WE DID THAT, AND WE ALSO DID THEIR FACEBOOK AND THEN, UM. I HAVE BEEN ALL OF THE MARKETING ALL OF THAT PRINT AS THAT WE DID, BUT I NOTICED THAT M CDC PUT AN AD IN THERE FOR US. AND SO WE APPRECIATE THAT. AND THESE ARE PHOTOS FROM PREVIOUS YEARS EVENTS. AND. IT'S JUST A CUTE TIME. FOR EVERYBODY. THIS IS THE BIG PAYOFF. THAT WE SEE FOR MCKINNEY. I'M NOT GOING TO READ THESE TO YOU ALL, BUT THEY'RE THERE. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED, AND THEY CONTINUE ON. BUT WE DO USE THESE FUNDS TO SUPPORT OUR PROGRAMS THAT WE RUN IN MAINLY AND. NEXT YEAR. THE FOLLOWING YEAR, SORT OF BE NEXT NEXT YEAR THAT WILL USE THESE FUNDS FOR. BUT THAT'S ALL WE HAVEN'T THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION AND SUPPORT AND YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR US. THIS IS OUR ONLY FUNDRAISER. AND IT'S THE SMALL BUSINESSES LARGELY ALSO, WE HAVE ENCORE WIRING AND HOSPITALS AND BANKS. THAT OUR SPONSORS THERE AND WE HAVE THIS BIG CIRCULAR. THE AREA WITH TABLES. FOR EACH OF OUR SPONSORS ARE THERE TO JUST BE A PART OF THIS AND IN THE MIDDLE IS A WORLD CLASS PETTING ZOO, WHERE BOUNCE HOUSES AND INFLATED. OSCAR, OF COURSE, SO HE COULD BE ON THAT SATURDAY IS THE GREATEST PLACE FOR A KID TO BE IN MCKINNEY, TEXAS, AND SO.

THE WAY WE RAISED THROUGH OUR SPONSORS, THE RUNNERS BASICALLY AND OUR CDC PAY THE COST. AND THEN OUR SPONSORS PROVIDE US WITH THE PROPHET. WHICH IS LOUSE US TO DO ALL THE OTHER THINGS WE DOINGS, INCLUDING THE GRANTS TO SCHOOLS. THE. MOST MOTHERS DAY PROJECT, THE WORLD COLLECTION PARK AND DECORATING OUR CITY. AND I THINK MOST OF YOU KNOW THIS THE THIS IS THIS

[02:10:04]

WE WON'T EXPECT THE GRANT BE GRANTED UNLESS WE SPEND MONEY APPROPRIATELY WITH WITH YOUR GUIDANCE AND APPROVAL. BUT ANOTHER POSSIBILITY AS US MOVING TO OCTOBER OR SOMETHING, SO WE'LL JUST HAVE TO PLAY THAT ONE OUT. THINGS OCCURRED. TWO. 003 TO CONSIDER DISCUSS

[02:15:08]

CITY OF MCKINNEY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO EXECUTE ANY CORPORATION.

MARTIN. GOOD MORNING CRYSTALS HOT, AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME THIS MORNING. I WILL BE VERY BRIEF. I DID. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU GUYS FOR APPROVING THE GRANT. THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE FOR $150,000 FOR OUR. PROPERTY MAINTENANCE PROGRAM. THAT IS A PROGRAM THAT WAS CREATED IN RESPONSE TO THE CITY'S CODE ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT, INCREASING THEIR INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY STANDARD CODES WHERE THEY ACTUALLY NOW LOOK AT THE STRUCTURE OF PEOPLE'S HOMES. SO WHEN WE HAVE ELDERLY, DISABLED LOW, VERY LOW INCOME RECEIVED CITATIONS FROM ARCO DEPARTMENT ON THINGS OF THEIR HOUSE THAT NEED TO BE CORRECTED. WE USE THIS FUNDING.

TO HELP ASSES. THEM. SO THEY DON'T THEY DIE. HAVE THOSE. THAT COST. I PUT TOGETHER A COUPLE PICTURES FOR YOU JUST TO KIND OF SHOW. WE CURRENTLY JUST WRAPPED UP OUR THIRD PROJECT.

THAT'S WHY I'M HERE TODAY. WE HAVE NOT USE ALL OF OUR FUNDING YET, AND OUR GRANT ENDS END OF THIS MONTH. SO WE'RE HERE TO ASK FOR ADDITIONAL SIR. MONTHS. TOO. THE REMAIN FUNDING THAT WE HAVE. WE WRAPPED UP THREE PROJECTS AND WE'VE GOT TO THAT AIR WAITING AND WE'VE GOT A LIST OF OTHERS THAT ARE TO COME THAT WAY. WE CAN USE THE PHONE. ON IT. IT. IF TODAY. FOR THE EXTENSION THIS IS, UM ONE OF THE HOUSES WE DID AT PEARSON STREET. IT'S KIND OF A BEFORE AND AFTER WE SPENT RIGHT UNDER THE $12,000 FOR THIS PROJECT, WE REPLACE WINDOWS ROTTED WOOD.

[02:20:02]

UH CORRECT THE SIDING AND THEN ALSO PAY THE HOUSE. AND THE WERE ALL ITEMS. THAT CO. WOULD HAVE SIDED. THEM. FOR HAD THEY NOT BEEN. CORRECTED. AND THIS IS A. ON RYE. WE STAY RIGHT AT NYU. ON THE. ONE. REPLACING THE QUARTER BOARD. ON THE HOW. AND NEW SIDING IN THE ROOF ON THE FRONT PORCH WITH JUST KIND OF HARD TO TELL. ANN THE WAY PAY. THE SYRIA AS YOU. TELL. IT.

LOOKS CALM. THE SAME. COLOR. IN PAY. THEY LOVE. IT IS. PLANNED. BE. SO THEY WERE DID THE SAME.

THING AFTER THE THIRD. PROJECT. IS THIS ONE. HERE? CHURCH? STREET. THEY PICK A COMM.

DIFFERENT. COLOR. AFTER WE WERE DONE. BUT WE DID GET TEO. REAP. THE WE. RAW. WOOD. REAP. SIDE.

THE FRONT DO. EXTERIOR ALL THE THINGS THAT CO WAS LOW. AT. FOR THEM THAT THEY WOULD HAVE RECEIVED. SIGHT. EH? ON THIS. IS BEFORE AND AT THE IS IT CHURCH. STREET. AND THEN THESE ARE TWO OF OUR PENDING PROJECTS THAT ARE IN THE QUEUE IF APPROVED TO MOVE FORWARD AGAIN, THAT THIS IS ONE THAT WE'RE ESTIMATING WILL BE 11,000. A WAY. WILL BE TOO. THIS PROJECT PROJECT ON THESE THESE PROJECTS FUNDS AIR REALLY USED TO HELP OUR ELDERLY AND DISABLED THAT OUR HOMES LIKE PEARSON STREET, MISS DOORS, SHE'S 81 YEARS OLD. HER INCOMES LESS THAN 30 OF THE AIR. MEDIA. INCOME. MOTHER. WHO SIR. YEARS OLD. AND THERE 30 OF THE MEDIA. IN SO WEIRD FOCUSING ON ARE EXTREMELY LOW INCOME HOUSEHOLDS THAT REALLY WITHOUT YOUR FUNDING WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO CORRECT THESE ISSUES AND THEN THEY WOULD HAVE CITATIONS FROM CODE THAT THEY WERE THEN HAVE TO FEAR. OUT HOW TO PAY. THAT. WE DO. DID. WAN. TO. PUT THAT. BIRD ON. OUR VERY EXTREME. LOW. IN HOUSING. TOO GET THOSE CORRECTED. I'VE BEEN REALLY THAT THAT'S REALLY IT FOR ME TODAY. I SAID, I'LL STAND FOR ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE. AND I JUST, UH THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR TIME. QUESTION. THIS MAY BE A LITTLE OFF WHERE YOU CAN'T ANSWER IT. WE'RE HELPING THESE ESPECIALLY ELDERLY DISABLED. YOU EVER COME ACROSS ANY THAT NEED LIKE A WHEELCHAIR RAMP? AND IF SO, DO WE HAVE. LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS THAT KILLED THOSE. ABSOLUTELY WE DO AND ADDRESS AS WELL. THIS IS ALSO THIS FUNDING IS HELPING US LEVERAGE OUR CITY FUNDING THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT. WE USE OUR CDBG FUNDING FOR REHAB. SO, FOR INSTANCE, MISS DORIS THAT LIVES ON PEARSON STREET WITH WITH M. C. D. C FUNDING, WE WERE ABLE TO ADDRESS THE CODE ISSUES. AND THEN ONCE WE GOT INTO OUR HOUSE, WE REALIZED YOU KNOW IT. THIS HOUSE WAS BUILT PRE 1960. SHE REALLY NEEDS UPDATED, UPDATED ELECTRICAL H C UNITS. SO WITH OUR REHAB PROGRAM WERE THEN QUALIFYING HER FOR THAT AND GOING IN AND DO AN ADDITIONAL WORK. SO ANYTIME WE SEE OTHER THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONOR THAT COULD BE DONE IF WE CAN'T HELP THEM, WE REFER THEM TO OTHER AGENCIES THAT CAN, BUT WE DO RUN ACROSS SITUATIONS LIKE THAT. ABSOLUTELY. DO YOU FEEL THIS? THIS ISN'T THE TIME I DO.

IT'S JUST REALLY THE GAP IN TIME FOR US. THE REASON THE MONEY DIDN'T GET SPENT AS RIGHT AFTER THAT WE HAD QUITE A BIT OF TURNOVER. WAIT SOME CODE OFFICER. LI THERE. THE ONE ISH.

THE SEA. AND OUR HOW. OF 18 YEARS RETIRED. AND SO WE HAD. WE HAD NO INSPECTOR. WE NOW HAVE ONE THAT HAS MOVED FROM CALIFORNIA OVER 27 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, AND HE'S YOU KNOW, OUT THERE READY TO GONZO AND THIS IS ALSO GREAT PROJECTS FOR US RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE THEY'RE EXTERIOR. WE'RE NOT GOING IN PEOPLE'S HOMES WERE JUST ON THE OUTSIDE. WE ACTUALLY HAD OUR VERY FIRST REHAB APPLICANT TEST POSITIVE FOR COVERT LAST WEEK, AND SO WE'RE LIKE, OKAY. WHAT WERE WE DOING?
